Behavioral Finance : Svenska fondbolags hantering av psykologiska fallgropar i praktiken / Behavioral finance : Swedish fund companies' handling of biases in practiceJohansson, Whilma, Sköld, Frida January 2015 (has links)
Background: Previous research has shown that people always are influenced by biases. Empirical studies have previously been conducted in order to find ways to reduce the biases. In the literature review for this thesis was however no qualitative study found which concerned the handling in practice, why it was of interest to study. Since the empirical studies, to some extent, have been based on practice when creating their hypotheses regarding the problem of biases, it was also relevant for this paper to survey the knowledge that Swedish fund companies currently have regarding behavioral finance as a research field. Aim: This paper aims to survey and analyse Swedish fund companies’ knowledge regarding behavioral finance as a research field. The paper also intends to analyse if and to what extent ways of handling biases, by previous research presented, in practice are used by Swedish fund companies when making investment decisions. Completion: To achieve the purpose of this paper, a qualitative approach has been used based on eight interviews conducted with representatives from Swedish fund companies. All representatives have an overall insight into how the fund management is done in respective fund companies. The collected empirical data has been analyzed partly on the basis of one, for this paper developed, analytical model with the aim to survey were Swedish fund companies are in terms of knowledge regarding behavioral finance, and partly on previous empirical research in the field of this research area. Conclusion: This paper table a new hypothesis which means that the industry lacks theoretical knowledge in behavioral finance and that the methods used by Swedish fund companies generally do not reduce biases. It is explained by the fact that a majority of the methods used by Swedish fund companies are not supported in precious research.

Teoretické znalosti první pomoci u žáků se sluchovým postižením vzdělávaných různými komunikačními přístupy / Theoretical knowledge of first aid of pupils with hearing impairment educated by different communicational approachPřibylová, Eliška January 2020 (has links)
Title: Theoretical knowledge of first aid of pupils with hearing impairment educated by different communicational approach. Objectives: The purpose of this diploma thesis is to compare the level of theoretical knowledge concerning the first aid at schools for pupils with hearing impairment depending on main communicational approach. The partial goal is to determine if there is a connection between subjective evaluation of first aid knowledge, the ability to provide the first aid and the theoretical knowledge itself. Methods: Questionnaire containing 14 questions was used to determine pupils' knowledge. It was distributed in three elementary schools for hearing impaired children. The aiming group were pupils from the 9th and 10th grade of elementary school. Altogether 18 respondents from 3 elementary schools (X, Y and Z) participated in the research. There were 5 pupils in each class at schools X and Y, and both schools used bilingual communication as the education method, the questionnaire was translated into sign language there. At school Z there were 8 pupils and they were educated by the oral method. Data were converted into electronic form and graphically processed in the program Numbers. Results: Pupils educated at school favoring an oral communication approach achieved 12% better results in...

Impacts of the Level of Swedish Language Knowledge on Refugees’ Employment and Occupational MatchingAbualhayjaa, Omar, Srour, Yaman January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the research is to explore which level or levels of knowledge in the Swedish language can enhance the employment and/or occupational matching possibilities for refugees in Sweden.Methodology: This study conducts a quantitative research approach, Primary data was used, an online survey was distributed among a sample of Syrian refugees (defined as who were born outside Sweden with 0-9 years of residence in Sweden). Non-probability sampling by means of volunteer, snowball, and convenient sampling were used in order to collect the data, 112 valid responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability, multiple linear regression, multivariate analysis of variance and hierarchical multiple regression analyses.Findings: it is found that the relationships between the knowledge in Swedish language and employment either occupational matching are statistically significant. However, there are no significant relationships between the level of knowledge in Swedish language and employment and occupational matching. Moreover, demographic variables had hardly any influence on the employment and occupational. Nevertheless, the only effect has been observed is between the education variable and employment. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this research, it is detected that the level of the Swedish language does not play a considerable or notable impact on the refugees’ employment and/or occupational matching in Swedish labor market. So, attaining specific level in the Swedish language knowledge does not positively impact the refugees’ employment and/or occupational matching in Sweden.

Level of knowledge about cardiac arrest in patients after cardiopulmonary resuscitation and their relatives in comparison to general population.Křečková, Markéta January 2014 (has links)
Providing emergency basic life support in life threatening situations is a duty of everyone. Adequate knowledge of all recommended procedures is a prerequisite for succesful management of a critical situation including identification of an emergency, activation of rescue system and provision of first help. Cardiac arrest is a significant socioeconomic burden. Survival of cardiac arrest victims depends on the underlying disease and lenght of cardiac arrest. Early CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is a most important factor of potential survival. However, effectivity of CPR for longterm survival reaches only around 10%. Therefore, ongoing education of general population in all techniques of CPR is justified and necessary. Just the initiation of CPRitself increases the chances for survival 2-3 fold. But, unfortunately, this emergency help is not provided always. This work is focused on evaluation of the quality of informations on recommended procedures and activities during acute setting and provision of lay person basic life support. In a theoretical introduction I describe the history of CPR and education of general population. Empirical part provides quantitative research based on a questionnaire with 100 respondents. Respondents are divided into two groups, persons who survived cardiac arrest...

SistEX UM SISTEMA DINÂMICO PARA DETECTAR A EXPERIÊNCIA DO ALUNO / SistEX - A DYNAMIC SYSTEM TO DETECT THE STUDENT EXPERIENCEPossobom, Camila Cerezer 15 April 2014 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The widespread use of virtual learning environment (VLE) has great potential for the
development of applications that meet needs in education. U -Learning environments the goal
is to seek information related to the needs and preferences of users to create their context and
present adaptations in its content to suit the user's profile, as in most traditional VLEs, such
as Moodle, this process is not generally considered. Given the importance of a dynamic
application that can continually adapt to the levels of students' knowledge, this dissertation
proposes a module called SistEX (A Dynamic System for Detecting Student Experience). The
adaptations in the environment used the Adaptive Hypermedia, and the type of information
collected was the level of user knowledge, which were obtained through questionnaires
applications. Furthermore, it was used and adapted the algorithm Q -Learning, from the
intelligent tutoring system (ITS), to contribute to the user's learning process. As a result, the
Software and user testing demonstrated that the environment SistEX worked satisfactorily,
based on the assessments made by users who tested the module and its operation. The
questionnaire was the System Usability Scale (SUS) on the module developed, which gave a
result within a range considered good, which includes the objectives proposed in this work,
even though some limitations and difficulties have been identified during development.
As adaptações

Factors influencing utilization of oral health services in LesothoLinjewile-Marealle, Navoneiwa January 2017 (has links)
Magister Public Health - MPH (Public Health) / The oral health programme in Lesotho aims to offer curative, preventive, promotive and
rehabilitative oral health services. However, observations as well as annual reports suggest that
oral health service utilization is poor, as most patients only attend dental clinics with advanced
stages of decayed teeth which can only be extracted. The reasons for this very undesirable late
utilization of oral health services have not been systematically explored and understood in
Lesotho. This makes it difficult for health planners to find solutions for improving access,
utilizations and responsiveness of oral health services.

Katodiskt Korrosionsskydd : Hur fungerar katodiskt korrosionsskydd ombord på fartyg?Axelsson, Erik, Ringborg, Mårten January 2008 (has links)
The idea for this exam paper arose under our onboard training periods. Under these periods we understood that the knowledge in cathodic corrosion protection was poor among the engine personal. We have also made a minor survey among marine engineers to see how the knowledge in this area is onboard. The survey shows that our hypothesis on the level of knowledge corresponded to a large extent. Further reason why we studied this area is that we wanted to deepen us in this subject, when our own experience only was to write numbers from a display. Our main question has been how cathodic corrosion protection work at ships. In order to answer this question, we conducted literature studies in the subject. The theoretical knowledge we have gathered from internet and books. The practical knowledge we have gained from previous training periods and during onboard training on MS Silja Galaxy in December 2008 to January 2009.</p>
