Comprendre l’origine microscopique du ralentissement de la dynamique au voisinage de la transition vitreuse reste l’un des problèmes fondamentaux de la physique de la matière condensée. Au cours de ce travail, nous introduisons un nouveau modèle de liquide, appelé liquide de Voronoï, et dont les interactions sont directement reliées aux propriétés géométriques des tessellations de Voronoï. Pour cette classe de liquides, les interactions sont à plusieurs corps et agissent de telle sorte que le système est toujours sous tension tout en restant stable. Le but de ce travail est d’étudier un mélange binaire du liquide de Voronoï et de voir de quelles façons ces interactions exotiques affectent le scénario habituel de la transition vitreuse. Tout au long de ce travail, nous caractérisons le liquide de Voronoï bidisperse théoriquement et par le biais des simulations numériques. Nous proposons également des comparaisons avec des liquides de Lennard-Jones surfondus bien décrit dans la littérature. / Understanding the origin of the important slowing down of the dynamics near glass transition is still one of the remaining fundamental problems of condensed matter physics. During this work we introduced a brand-new model of liquids named Voronoi liquid, whose interactions are directly related to the geometrical properties of Voronoi tessellations. For these class of liquids interactions are intrinsically manybody and act in such a way that the liquid is always under tension but remains stable. The aim of this work is to use a binary mixture of the Voronoi liquid to see to what extend these exotic interactions may affect the classical scenario of glass transition. Throughout this work we characterize theoretically and by mean of numerical simulation the bidisperse Voronoi liquid. Comparisons with well-known Lennard-Jones glass formers are systematically performed.

Les propriétés des ensembles localement prox-réguliers ont été étudiées par R.A. Poliquin, R.T. Rockafellar et L. Thibault. Le concept de fonction ''primal lower nice'' a été introduit en dimension finie par R.A. Poliquin et étendu au cadre Hilbertien par A.B. Levy, R.A. Poliquin et L. Thibault. Dans cette thèse, la première partie est consacrée à une étude des outils et des objets géométriques de l'Analyse non lisse tels que les fonctions primal lower nice et les ensembles localement prox-réguliers. On donnera une définition quantifiée de la prox-régularité locale. La deuxième partie établit des résultats d'existence et d'unicité de solutions d'inéquations variationnelles se présentant sous forme d'inclusions différentielles associées au cône normal d'un ensemble localement prox-régulier. / The properties of locally prox-regular sets have been studied by R.A. Poliquin, R.T. Rockafellar and L. Thibault. R.A. Poliquin also introduced the concept of ``primal lower nice function. This dissertation is devoted, on one hand to the study of primal lower nice functions and locally prox-regular sets and, on the other hand, to show existence and uniqueness of solutions of differential variational inequalities involwing such sets. Concerning the first part, we introduce a quantified viewpoint of local-prox-regularity and establish a series of characterizations for set satisfying this property. In the second part, we study differential variational inequalities with locally prox-regular sets and we show the relevance of our quantified viewpoint to prove existence results of solutions.

Atomic decompositions and frames in Fréchet spaces and their duals

[EN] The Ph.D. Thesis "Atomic decompositions and frames in Fréchet spaces and their duals" presented here treats different areas of functional analysis with applications. Schauder frames are used to represent an arbitrary element x of a function space E as a series expansion involving a fixed countable set {xj} of elements in that space such that the coefficients of the expansion of x depend in a linear and continuous way on x. Unlike Schauder bases, the expression of an element x in terms of the sequence {xj}, i.e. the reconstruction formula for x, is not necessarily unique. Atomic decompositions or Schauder frames are a less restrictive structure than bases, because a complemented subspace of a Banach space with basis has always a natural Schauder frame, that is obtained from the basis of the superspace. Even when the complemented subspace has a basis, there is not a systematic way to find it. Atomic decompositions appeared in applications to signal processing and sampling theory among other areas. Very recently, Pilipovic and Stoeva [55] studied series expansions in (countable) projective or inductive limits of Banach spaces. In this thesis we begin a systematic study of Schauder frames in locally convex spaces, but our main interest lies in Fréchet spaces and their duals. The main difference with respect to the concept considered in [55] is that our approach does not depend on a fixed representation of the Fréchet space as a projective limit of Banach spaces. The text is divided into two chapters and appendix that gives the notation, definitions and the basic results we will use throughout the thesis. The first one focuses on the relation between the properties of an existing Schauder frame in a Fréchet space E and the structure of the space. In the second chapter frames and Bessel sequences in Fréchet spaces and their duals are defined and studied. In what follows, we give a brief description of the different chapters: In Chapter 1, we study Schauder frames in Fréchet spaces and their duals, as well as perturbation results. We define shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder xviiframes on a locally convex space, study the duality of these two concepts and their relation with the reflexivity of the space. We characterize when an unconditional Schauder frame is shrinking or boundedly complete in terms of properties of the space. Several examples of concrete Schauder frames in function spaces are also presented. Most of the results included in this chapter are published by Bonet, Fernández, Galbis and Ribera in [13]. The second chapter of the thesis is devoted to study ¿-Bessel sequences, ¿-frames and frames with respect to ¿ in the dual of a Hausdorff locally convex space E, in particular for Fréchet spaces and complete (LB)-spaces E, with ¿ a sequence space. We investigate the relation of these concepts with representing systems in the sense of Kadets and Korobeinik [34] and with the Schauder frames, that were investigated in Chapter 1. The abstract results presented here, when applied to concrete spaces of analytic functions, give many examples and consequences about sampling sets and Dirichlet series expansions. We present several abstract results about ¿-frames in complete (LB)-spaces. Finally, many applications, results and examples concerning sufficient sets for weighted Fréchet spaces of holomorphic functions and weakly sufficient sets for weighted (LB)-spaces of holomorphic functions are collected. Most of the results are submitted for publication in a preprint of Bonet, Fernández, Galbis and Ribera in [12]. / [ES] La presente memoria "Descomposiciones atómicas y frames en espacios de Fréchet y sus duales" trata diferentes áreas del análisis funcional con aplicaciones. Los frames de Schauder se utilizan para representar un elemento arbitrario x de un espacio de funciones E mediante una serie a partir de un conjunto numerable fijado {xj} de elementos de este espacio de manera que los coeficientes de la reconstrucción de x dependen de forma lineal y continua de x. A diferencia de las bases de Schauder, la expresión de un elemento x en términos de la sucesión {xj}, i.e. la fórmula de reconstrucción para x, no es necesariamente única. Las descomposiciones atómicas o los frames de Schauder son un estructura menos restrictiva que las bases, porque un subespacio complementado de un espacio de Banach con base tiene siempre un frame de Schauder natural, que se obtiene a partir de una base del superespacio. Conformal structures on compact complex manifolds / Structures conformes sur les variétés complexes compactes

Dans cette thèse on s’intéresse à deux types de structures conformes non-dégénérées sur une variété complexe compacte donnée. La première c’est une forme holomorphe symplectique twistée (THS), i.e. une deux-forme holomorphe non-dégénérée à valeurs dans un fibré en droites. Dans le deuxième contexte, il s’agit des métriques localement conformément kähleriennes (LCK). Dans la première partie, on se place sur un variété de type Kähler. Les formes THS généralisent les formes holomorphes symplectiques, dont l’existence équivaut à ce que la variété admet une structure hyperkählerienne, par un théorème de Beauville. On montre un résultat similaire dans le cas twisté, plus précisément: une variété compacte de type kählerien qui admet une structure THS est un quotient fini cyclique d’une variété hyperkählerienne. De plus, on étudie sous quelles conditions une variété localement hyperkählerienne admet une structure THS. Dans la deuxième partie, les variétés sont supposées de type non-kählerien. Nous présentons quelques critères pour l’existence ou non-existence de métriques LCK spéciales, en terme du groupe de biholomorphismes de la variété. En outre, on étudie le problème d’irréductibilité analytique des variétés LCK, ainsi que l’irréductibilité de la connexion de Weyl associée. Dans un troisième temps, nous étudions les variétés LCK toriques, qui peuvent être définies en analogie avec les variétés de Kähler toriques. Nous montrons qu’une variété LCK torique compacte admet une métrique de Vaisman torique, ce qui mène à une classification de ces variétés par le travail de Lerman. Dans la dernière partie, on s’intéresse aux propriétés cohomologiques des variétés d’Oeljeklaus-Toma (OT). Plus précisément, nous calculons leur cohomologie de de Rham et celle twistée. De plus, on démontre qu’il existe au plus une classe de de Rham qui représente la forme de Lee d’une métrique LCK sur un variété OT. Finalement, on détermine toutes les classes de cohomologie twistée des métriques LCK sur ces variétés. / In this thesis, we are concerned with two types of non-degenerate conformal structures on a given compact complex manifold. The first structure we are interested in is a twisted holomorphic symplectic (THS) form, i.e. a holomorphic non-degenerate two-form valued in a line bundle. In the second context, we study locally conformally Kähler (LCK) metrics. In the first part, we deal with manifolds of Kähler type. THS forms generalise the well-known holomorphic symplectic forms, the existence of which is equivalent to the manifold admitting a hyperkähler structure, by a theorem of Beauville. We show a similar result in the twisted case, namely: a compact manifold of Kähler type admitting a THS structure is a finite cyclic quotient of a hyperkähler manifold. Moreover, we study under which conditions a locally hyperkähler manifold admits a THS structure. In the second part, manifolds are supposed to be of non-Kähler type. We present a few criteria for the existence or non-existence for special LCK metrics, in terms of the group of biholomorphisms of the manifold. Moreover, we investigate the analytic irreducibility issue for LCK manifolds, as well as the irreducibility of the associated Weyl connection. Thirdly, we study toric LCK manifolds, which can be defined in analogy with toric Kähler manifolds. We show that a compact toric LCK manifold always admits a toric Vaisman metric, which leads to a classification of such manifolds by the work of Lerman. In the last part, we study the cohomological properties of Oeljeklaus-Toma (OT) manifolds. Namely, we compute their de Rham and twisted cohomology. Moreover, we prove that there exists at most one de Rham class which represents the Lee form of an LCK metric on an OT manifold. Finally, we determine all the twisted cohomology classes of LCK metrics on these manifolds.

Fast Registration of Tabular Document Images Using the Fourier-Mellin Transform

Image registration, the process of finding the transformation that best maps one image to another, is an important tool in document image processing. Having properly-aligned microfilm images can help in manual and automated content extraction, zoning, and batch compression of images. An image registration algorithm is presented that quickly identifies the global affine transformation (rotation, scale, translation and/or shear) that maps one tabular document image to another, using the Fourier-Mellin Transform. Each component of the affine transform is recovered independantly from the others, dramatically reducing the parameter space of the problem, and improving upon standard Fourier-Mellin Image Registration (FMIR), which only directly separates translation from the other components. FMIR is also extended to handle shear, as well as different scale factors for each document axis. This registration method deals with all transform components in a uniform way, by working in the frequency domain. Registration is limited to foreground pixels (the document form and printed text) through the introduction of a novel, locally adaptive foreground-background segmentation algorithm, based on the median filter. The background removal algorithm is also demonstrated as a useful tool to remove ambient signal noise during correlation. Common problems with FMIR are eliminated by background removal, meaning that apodization (tapering down to zero at the edge of the image) is not needed for accurate recovery of the rotation parameter, allowing the entire image to be used for registration. An effective new optimization to the median filter is presented. Rotation and scale parameter detection is less susceptible to problems arising from the non-commutativity of rotation and "tiling" (periodicity) than for standard FMIR, because only the regions of the frequency domain directly corresponding to tabular features are used in registration. An original method is also presented for automatically obtaining blank document templates from a set of registered document images, by computing the "pointwise median" of a set of registered documents. Finally, registration is demonstrated as an effective tool for predictive image compression. The presented registration algorithm is reliable and robust, and handles a wider range of transformation types than most document image registration systems (which typically only perform deskewing).

A 3D model of construction in Scia Engineer 17 was created for calculation of internal forces. The thesis contains static calculation and technical drawings of ceiling slab above first floor, staircase and a column. All structures are designed according to EN 1992-1-1.

Diploma thesis deals with design of selected parts of reinforced concrete construction of a multi-storey building with respect of fire resistance. The proposed elements are reinforced concrete locally suported ceiling slab, selected column and wall. These structures are located in the storage hall on the 1st underground floor. Different variants of structural design are consulted and compared in this work. The calculation of internal forces is performed in the calculation software Scia Engineer 19.1. The thesis includes a structural design as well as drawings. The construction is designed according to ČSN EN standarts.
