Rožių žiedų išsilaikymo tyrimai / The Preservation Tests of Blossom Roses

The tests purpose - to investigate the length and decorative of the preservation to different cultivates of roses blossom, keeping them in 14 C0 and 18 C0 soak water supply water and in solution of Chrysal. The experimentations carried out in the farm of Algimantas Žemaitis in the period of 2003 -2004. The cultivates of Thea hybrida clump Black Baccara, Black Magic, Eldorado, Raphaela, Red Devil, Vevdela, Versilia and clump of floribunda Akito, Gold Strike and Konfetti have been chosen to investigate the preservation of roses blossoms. The general conclusion of influence Chrysal solution: The length of decorative preservation of roses blossoms has been durable when we were keeping them in soak solution of Chrysal, neither the roses witches have been soaked in the water supply water. The cultivates from investigated of ten roses Raphaela have been blossomed durably and Gold Striks - shortly. In 14 C0 the cultivates of roses Raphaela preservated 16,1 days and Gold Strike – 13,1 days, keeping them in woter, 19,1 and 15,7 days accordingly in solution of Chrysal. In 18 C0 cultivates of roses Raphaela preservated 15,2 days and Gold Strike - 12,1 days, keeping them in woter, 18,0 days in solution of Chrysal. The cultivates of roses Black Bacara has been blossomed shortly – 14,0 days, keeping them in solution of Chrysal.

O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso com 31 tratamentos em 2005, e 14 tratamentos em 2006. A diferença entre tratamentos foi a data de semeadura, que variou de 5 de maio a 4 de junho em 2005, e de 25 de abril a 25 de maio em 2006, sempre entre 13 e 15hs. A colheita foi feita 82 dias depois de cada semeadura, equivalente a três ciclos da lua sideral, e no ponto que o consumidor de produtos orgânicos e biodinâmicos valoriza, segundo experiência do produtor. Para retirar o efeito da tendência dos dados na avaliação dos tratamentos, foi utilizada a metodologia de avaliação estatística do cálculo do Índice Estacional (IE). Foram avaliadas as seguintes características: massa fresca de raízes e folhas, massa seca, diâmetro, comprimento, teor de nitrogênio, fósforo e boro das raízes e perecibilidade das raízes com 30, 60 e 90 dias póscolheita. Nos dois períodos avaliados, a massa seca de raízes foi a única que, no contraste entre médias, apresentou diferença significativa nos ritmos sinódico tradicional e sinódico caboclo. No ritmo sinódico tradicional, a fase nova foi superior às fases crescente e cheia. No sinódico caboclo, a fase cheia foi inferior às demais. No contraste entre médias, o ritmo sinódico foi o que mais apresentou resultados significativos, e em menor proporção, os ritmos anomalístico, draconiano e sideral; O ritmo tropical (ascendente X descendente) e teor de nitrogênio não apresentaram resultados significativos... / The purpose of this work was to evaluate the influence of moon rhythms (synodic, sidereal, anomalistic, tropical and draconic) on yield, quality and postharvest storage of Daucus carota L. roots under biodynamic management sowed in different dates. The experiment was carried out over a two period on a biodynamic farm, in Botucatu, São Paulo State, Brazil. Rhythms were tested observing the effects of seeding at different planting dates. The experiment was performed with four randomized blocks and 31 treatments (different dates) in 2005 and fourteen treatments in 2006. The harvest occurred 82 days after the sowing, when carrot roots show the most desirable aspect for the organic and biodynamic consumers. The magnitudes of effects associated with planting at a specific lunar position were measured by the deviations from the trend curve. The following characteristics were evaluated: fresh mass of roots and leaves, dry mass, diameter, length, nitrogen, phosphorus and boron content of the roots and perishability of the roots at 30, 60 and 90 days post-harvest. Dry mass was the only one that in the contrast between averages showed significant results in the two periods of the experiment. Result was that the synodic new phase was superior to the first quarter, and full phases and in the caboclo synodic rhythm, the full phase was inferior to the other. It was clear that the synodic caboclo rhythm had the most significant influence followed by the traditional synodic one. The draconic, sideral and anomalistic had less influence and the tropical rhythm had no influence at all considering studied aspects. Nitrogen and tropical rhythm did not present any lunar influence. Using twelve years of data acquired from the instrument SABER / TIMED is possible to identify results of lunar tidal amplification especially during the winter in the northern hemisphere. It is also known that especially in the winter season of the Arctic polar region is the phenomenon called stratospheric sudden warming (Sudden Stratospheric Warming), which corroborates in significant changes in atmospheric dynamics during its occurrence. Some studies have shown the connection between intense events of abrupt warming of the polar stratosphere of the northern hemisphere with the lunar atmospheric tide. Knowing these conditions, the aim of this study was to investigate possible effects produced by the abrupt warming of the polar stratosphere in atmospheric lunar semidiurnal tide in mesospheric region and lower thermosphere (MLT). In this sense, data temperatures estimated from measurements obtained with the instrument SABER / TIMED were analyzed along with data from the polar stratosphere, provided by the National Centre for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). Analyzing the results, it was found that during the occurrence period of the lunar atmospheric tide abrupt heating of the polar stratosphere, contributed in some cases and may contribute to a higher and a lower amplification lunar semidiurnal tide in the atmosphere compared to studies analyzing effects of lunar semidiurnal tide without taking into account the influence of stratospheric warming / A maré atmosférica lunar caracteriza-se em significativas mudanças que ocorrem principalmente nos campos de vento, temperatura da atmosfera terrestres produzida pela influência direta da Lua sobre os corpos presentes nesta superfície. Utilizando doze anos de dados adquiridos do instrumento SABER/TIMED é possível identificar resultados da amplificação de maré lunar principalmente durante o inverno no hemisfério norte . Sabe-se também que principalmente na estação de inverno da região polar ártica ocorre o fenômeno denominado aquecimento estratosférico súbito (Sudden Stratospheric Warming), o qual corrobora em expressivas mudanças na dinâmica atmosférica durante sua ocorrência. Alguns estudos evidenciaram conexão entre os eventos intensos de aquecimento abrupto da estratosfera polar do hemisfério norte com a maré atmosférica lunar. Sabendo destas condições, o objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar possíveis efeitos produzidos pelo aquecimento abrupto da estratosfera polar na maré atmosférica semidiurna lunar na região Mesosférica e baixa Termosfera (MLT). Neste sentido, dados de temperaturas estimadas a partir de medidas obtidas com o instrumento SABER/TIMED foram analisados juntamente com dados da estratosfera polar, fornecidos pelo National Centre for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). Analisados os resultados, verificou-se que durante o período de ocorrência da maré atmosférica lunar, os aquecimentos abruptos da estratosfera polar, contribuíram em alguns casos, corroborando para uma maior e menor amplificação da maré semidiurna lunar na atmosfera quando comparado com estudos que analisaram os efeitos da maré semidiurna lunar sem levar em conta a influência do aquecimento estratosférico.

Alterações das características químicas do solo pela conversão de floresta nativa em sistemas de uso agrícola na região da Serra da Lua, Estado de Roraima

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / As mudanças no uso da terra como a conversão de ecossistemas naturais em agroecossistema provocam alterações significativas nas propriedades químicas do solo. Nos últimos 40 anos, essa prática tem ocorrido de forma mais intensa no bioma Amazônico. Este trabalho foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito nos diferentes sistemas de uso agrícola em três profundidades sobre as características químicas de um Argissolo Vermelho Amarelo. Os objetivos específicos foram: avaliar as características químicas de um Argissolo Vermelho Amarelo com diferentes sistemas de uso e quantificar o teor de matéria orgânica do solo entre os diferentes sistemas de uso, tendo a floresta nativa como referência. Os agroecossistemas selecionados estão localizados na fazenda Umirizal, pertencente ao município de Bonfim, no Estado de Roraima, (2 3336e 2 43 12). As amostragens de solo foram realizadas em dezembro de 2008, em cinco diferentes manejos: floresta nativa (FN), sistema de pastagem em estágio de pousio (PP), sistema de pastagem em estágio de abandono (DA), sistema de plantio convencional (PC), sistema de cultivo mínimo (CM). O delineamento experimental foi de blocos casualidados em esquema de parcelas subdivididas, com cinco repetições, sendo os sistemas alocados às parcelas e as profundidades, às subparcelas. As amostras de solo foram coletadas nas seguintes profundidades: 0-10, 10-20, 20-40cm. Os resultados indicaram que a conversão de floresta nativa para sistemas de cultivo não promoveu alterações expressivas nas propriedades químicas do solo, apesar do aporte de fertilizantes químicos e revolvimento do solo. A maioria dos atributos químicos permaneceu abaixo do nível crítico (classe baixa), exceto o cálcio trocável no sistema DA, que passou para a classe de fertilidade média. As bases trocáveis e consequentemente a soma de bases encontraram-se mais destacadas na camada 0 10 cm. A acidez ativa foi menor nos sistemas DA e PP em relação à Floresta Nativa e acidez potencial foi menor na Floresta Nativa, havendo uma diminuição em profundidade, também para os outros sistemas estudados. A mineralização da matéria orgânica e as cinzas oriundas da queima dos restos da vegetação nativa proporcionaram melhorias nos atributos químicos do sistema DA superando os da Floresta Nativa. Em todos os sistemas houve maior aporte da matéria orgânica e consequentemente maior valor de CTC efetiva e total na camada superficial. O maior aporte de fósforo disponível foi no plantio convencional sendo o maior acúmulo em superfície para todos os sistemas decrescendo em profundidade. Os solos, independentemente do sistema, apresentaram valores de fósforo remanescente, em sua maioria alto, principalmente nos horizonte superficiais, o que resulta em baixa capacidade de adsorção de fosfato. / Land use changes such as conversion of natural ecosystems to agro ecosystems are shown to cause alterations in the the soil chemical characteristics. Over the last 40 years, land deforestation has occurred more intensively in the deforestation arc of Amazonian. The main objective of this research was to study soil chemical characteristics of red-yellow ultisol under differents land uses, in Roraima state, Northern Amazon, Brazil. The specific objectives were evaluate soil chemical characteristics of red-yellow ultisol under differents land uses havend native forest as reference and to measure the levels of soil organic matter (SOM) under differents land uses havend native forest as reference.The selected agro ecosystems of this study are located on the farm Umirizal the Bonfim city, Roraima States, (2 3336e 2 43 12). Soil samplings were realized during december 2008, according to five treatments: native forest (FN), pasture fallow sistem (PP), pasture abandoned (DA); conventional tillage system (PC); Minimum tillage system (MT). An entirely random design with subdivided plots with five replicates, was used, and the systems allocated plots and subplots depths. Soil samples were collected in the following soil depths: 0-10; 10-20; 20-40 cm. Results showed that conversion of native forest for farming systems did not cause significant changes in the chemical properties of soils. The conversion of native forest for farming systems did not cause significant changes in soil chemical properties, despite the input of chemical fertilizers and soil disturbance. Most of the chemical remained below the critical level (lower class), except for exchangeable Ca in the DA system now for the class of medium fertility. The exchangeable bases and therefore the sum of bases found to be more prominent in the layer 0-10 cm. The active acidity was lower in DA and PP systems in relation to the Native Forest and potential acidity was lower in Native Forest, with a decrease in depth, also for other systems studied. The mineralization of organic matter and ash derived from burning the remains of the native vegetation provided improvements in chemical properties of the DA system surpassing the Native Forest. All systems were the major input of organic matter and consequently higher amount of total and effective CEC in the surface layer. The larger input of available phosphorus was in conventional tillage and the highest accumulation at the surface for all systems decreasing in depth. The soils, regardless of the system, gave values of phosphorus, mostly high, especially in the horizon surface, which results in low capacity to absorb phosphate.

The thesis deals with OpenCV library and its implementation into scripting language Lua. The first part of the thesis concentrates on description of the course Computer vision MPOV and description of mathematical basics needed for further understandings. The second part describes OpenCV library and its potential usage in the MPOV. Next chapter examines the programming scripting language Lua. The description of the implementation of binding the OpenCV library to Lua language along with its overall functionality is included in the practical part of the thesis. The use of LuaCV is more comfortable thanks to Open Source projects for cross-platform compilation and distribution. Part of the thesis is also generator of Latex documentation for LuaCV binding. The last chapter deals with testing LuaCV in course MPOV and analysis of criticism from students.

La tesis presentada es un trabajo de investigación y desarrollo de una aplicación interactiva educativa para niños de 3 a 5 años utilizando el middleware Ginga en su versión libre Ginga-NCL y ayudándonos del lenguaje script Lua. Se han realizado pruebas de la aplicación en tres escenarios: ejecución en un entorno virtual, ejecución en un STB cargando la aplicación a través del puerto USB y utilizando un equipo playout. En el último escenario, se ha podido comprobar que es posible realizar la implementación de la aplicación interactiva enviándola por el aire a través de la trama de transporte MPEG-2 Transport Stream, ejecutándola en un equipo receptor (STB). Se realizó una aplicación que hace de interactividad local: selección de opciones con el control remoto e interactividad remota: envío de datos de la aplicación a un servidor web. / This thesis is a research and development of an interactive educational application for children from 3 to 5 years using the Ginga middleware in its open source version Ginga-NCL and complementing it with the Lua scripting language. Tests were carried out in three scenarios: running the application in a virtual environment, running it on an STB loading the application via USB port and using a playout equipment. In the last scenario, it has been found that it is possible to implement the interactive application sending it through air, in the MPEG-2 Transport Stream, and running it on a receiving equipment (STB). Comparative Analysis of Machine Learning Libraries : Performance and Availability in Python, Scala, and Lua

This report presents a comparative analysis of Python, Scala, and Lua for machine learning tasks, focusing on performance and library availability. The study addresses the gap in understanding how these less popular programming languages perform compared to Python, which is widely used in the machine learning community. Logistic regression and neural networks were investigated using datasets of varying sizes and complexities. The method involved implementing these algorithms in each language and measuring runtime and accuracy. The results showed that Python consistently achieved shorter runtimes and required fewer lines of code, largely due to its optimized Scikit-learn library. Python performed overall the best, with Scala closely behind, possibly due to using Python's default settings as the parameter settings throughout the experiment. Lua lagged significantly in performance and accuracy, hindered by its limited and outdated library support. The findings suggest that while Python remains the best choice for most machine learning tasks, Scala is a strong contender for large-scale data processing. Lua, however, does not seem to be a good choice for machine learning due to its current limitations, though it may be suitable for other areas such as scripting.

This formalization facilitates the use of tools in the systematization and the rise of the quality of their test process. This category of programs, compilers have been the first to use this kind of tool for the automation of their tests. In this work we present an approach for definition of tests from the formal description of the entries of the program. The generation of the sentences is performed by taking into account syntactic aspects defined by the specification of the entries, the grammar. For optimization, their coverage criteria are used to limit the quantity of tests without diminishing their quality. Our approach uses these criteria to drive generation to produce sentences that satisfy a specific coverage criterion. The approach presented is based on the use of Lua language, relying heavily on its resources of coroutines and dynamic construction of functions. With these resources, we propose a simple and compact implementation that can be optimized and controlled in different ways, in order to seek satisfaction the different implemented coverage criteria. To make the use of our tool simpler, the EBNF notation for the specification of the entries was adopted. [pt] Redis é um banco de dados chave-valor de código livre que dá suporte à avaliação de scripts Lua, mas sua implementação utiliza apenas uma tarefa de sistema operacional. Scripts longos são desencorajados porque a avaliação do código é bloqueante, o que pode causar degradação de desempenho para os demais usuários. Através da aplicação do modelo de concorrência M:N, que combina tarefas de nível de sistema operacional com tarefas do nível de usuário, adicionamos no Redis a capacidade de execução de scripts em paralelo, permitindo que todos os núcleos do servidor sejam explorados. Com a utilização de corotinas Lua, implementamos um escalonador capaz de alocar e suspender a execução de tarefas de nível de usuário nos núcleos disponíveis sem necessidade de alteração do código dos scripts. Este modelo permitiu proteger o programador das complexidades naturais do paralelismo como sincronização no acesso a recursos compartilhados e escalonamento das tarefas. / [en] Redis is an open source key-value database that supports Lua programming language scripts, but it s implementation is single threaded. Long running scripts are discouraged because script evaluation is blocking, which may cause service levels deterioration. Applying the M:N threading model, which combines user and operating system threads, we added to Redis the ability of running scripts in parallel, leveraging all server cores.With the use of Lua coroutines, we implemented a scheduler able to allocate and suspend user-level tasks in the available cores without the need of changing scripts source code. The M:N model allowed us to protect the programmer from the natural complexities that arise from parallel programming, such as access to shared resources synchronization and scheduling of tasks into different operational system threads.
