descontínuos no plano.
In this work we study generalizations of Melnikov's method to planar discontinuous
dynamical system. Initially we study this problem as a variation of the work [1] where
a Hamiltonian vector field that admits an heteroclinic cycle with its interior foliated by
a family of periodic orbits is perturbed by a Hamiltonian perturbation. In this work we
extended the results to more general perturbation (non conservative) and we show the
Melnikov's functions in this new context. Finally, we approach a more general problem
related to a perturbation of the non-conservative vector field where we obtained the
Melnikov's function that is associated with a heteroclínic orbit.

differential equations. In the first one, we study the Melnikov’s Integral for a Hamiltonian
system associated with one-parameter perturbation. The second class, we study the
Melnikov’s Integral for any system associated with a two-dimensional perturbation. The
work finishes with a study on the existence and uniqueness of traveling wave solutions of
the mathematical model describing combustion in porous medium.

Locating The Structure-agency Dichotomy In Architecture: Workers Club As A Type Of Social Condenser In The Soviets 1917-32Onen, Hasan Isben 01 January 2006 (has links) (PDF)
This thesis focuses on the Soviets after the October Revolution, between 1917 and 1932, in which architecture was seen as the crucial aparatus to transform the society. Within this framework it approaches to social condensers which were perceived as architectural foresights and buildings that aim to transform the society and promote a new, collective way of life and relocates the (social) structure and agency dichotomy in architecture. Furthermore the effort of the creative individual (agent) to preserve his inner-domain is searched through the workers' / club designs of two important architects Konstantin Melnikov and Ivan Leonidov, and furthermore trying to understand on which principles they established their architecture. Whereas the conclusion includes a critical evaluation on " / halkevleri" / (people' / s houses) as having similar social premises within the scope of the general framework of the study.

In this work we present a study of the dynamics of a non-ideal vibrating system, composed by a motor and a spring, which is known as centrifugal vibrator. The purpose of this study is to show the difference of behavior of the system when we consider hard springs (positive coefficient of cubical elasticity) or soft springs (negative coefficient of cubical elasticity). For hard spring the stability of the fixed point was analyzed, and by means of the Central Manifolds Theory and the Bezout theorem the existence of the Hopf Bifurcation is shown. For soft spring, it is shown the existence of a heteroclinic orbit connecting two saddle points. Using the classical Melnikov method it is discussed the existence, or not, of the chaotic behavior for some energy level and certain values of the damping coefficient. All the analysis is followed by numerical simulations to confirm the results.

A primeira delas
A segundaclasseconsistedeumaequaçãodotiporeação-difusãoconhecidanaliteratura

waves solutions for two classes of differential equations. The first of them is a
system modeling a temperature front propagation in a porous media. This model
come from a thermal method applied to oil recovery in petroleum engineering. For
this model it is proved the existence and uniqueness of a traveling wave solution for
a range of propagation velocities above a critical value. The existence is proved by
the geometric singular perturbation technique and the uniqueness by the Melnikov
Integral. The second class is a reaction-diffusion equation known in literature as
the KPP equation. This equation come from isothermal autocatalytic chemical
reactions problems. By analogous techniques used in the first class are obtained
analogous results on the existence and uniqueness of traveling wave solutions. The
workfinisheswiththespectralstabilitystudyofthetravelingwaveswithnoncritical
