Vliv sociálních remitencí na rozvoj Moldavska - případová studie moldavských pracovníků v Česku / The influence of social remittances on the development of Moldova - a case study of Moldovan workers in Czechia

Košař, Miroslav January 2018 (has links)
International migration has a major impact on the economy of Moldova and its inhabitants. Nevertheless, it belongs to the poorest countries in Europe and its every third economically active inhabitant of this post-Soviet country is working abroad. These migrants send financial remittances, which consist of a part of their income or material goods to their families from target countries including Czechia. The theoretical background of this thesis is the type of remittances, namely the concept of social remittances, which in contrary to financial remittances draws attention to non-financial transfers - ideas, behaviours, identities and social capital flowing from receiving to source country communities. The concept was based on observation of development potential and impacts within the migration-development nexus paradigm. The basic qualitative research in this work examines the concept of social remittances within example of research Moldovan migrants working in Czechia with semi-structured deep interviews. Acquired authentic responses of the informants were processed by inductive analysis of qualitative data. The results have shown the existence of the potential for receiving social remittances by migrants and their transfer to Moldova due to ongoing circular migration. However, neither potential...

Česká migrace a integrace do Irska / Czech migration and integration in Ireland

Konrádová, Marie January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with the nature and the causes of the Czech migration into Ireland. The goal of the thesis is to investigate the form and type of Czech migration into Ireland and to understand the causes and reasons of this migration and, if possible, determine whether the Czechs are transmigrants. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the integration of Czech people into the Irish job market and other areas of the life of Irish society. To achieve this, both quantitative and qualitative methods are used. The thesis aims to bring a compact portrayal of migration and integration of the chosen sample of the Czech immigrants into Ireland. Vliv ukrajinského konfliktu na mobilitu obyvatelstva / Impact of the Ukrainian conflict on population mobility

Křen, Jan January 2019 (has links)
Since spring 2014, an armed conflict has been taking place in the eastern part of Ukraine between the Pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian state. As a result of this armed conflict, there was a stream of forced migration. The statistics speak up to about 1.7 million people internally displaced and about a hundred other hundreds of people seeking international protection abroad. Of those seeking international protection, more than 200,000 have been granted temporary asylum in Russia. This thesis examines the impact of the Ukrainian armed conflict on the mobility of these displaced persons. The first way to study the impact of a selected conflict on population mobility is quantitative data analysis. In this analysis are compared the data on conflict intensity with data on internal migration in Ukraine and international migration to the states Russia, Poland and Czechia. The second way this diploma thesis examines the impact of the conflict on population mobility is based on the research of ten Ukrainians who left for Czechia from conflict areas and whose primary reason was the military conflict. The results show that there are links between the intensity of the military conflict and the migration strategy of the people of Eastern Ukraine.

Zaměstnávání českých občanů v Evropské unii

Ondrová, Eva January 2006 (has links)
Češi pracují nejčastěji v Německu, Rakousku a Velké Británii. Jedním z problémů migrace za prací je ?odliv mozků? tzn. odchod vysoce kvalifikovaných odborníků do zahraničí, je důležité do jaké míry to ovlivní kvalifikační potenciál české pracovní síly.

Valeš, Jan January 2009 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the demographic analysis of the European Union member countries. In the first part, various demographic measures regarding natural and mechanical changes of population are described. Moreover, each indicator is illustrated with practical calculations and graphical display of the development between years 1960 and 2007. Second part focuses on the construction of demographic projections of the European Union until the year 2060, including theoretical background. In the last part, the impact of demographic trends on the economy is considered.

Dopady suburbanizačních procesů na obec - případová studie města Klecany / The effects of suburbanization processes on municipality - the case study of the city Klecany

Faberová, Jana January 2010 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the influence that suburbanization processes have on a historic city. Namely it is the city Klecany that the thesis focuses on in the Prague -- East region. Suburbanization can be observed in the Czech Republic since the second half of the 1990's, but its specific influence depends on a particular municipality. Therefore the goal of this thesis is to compare theoretical assumptions about suburbanization with its real consequences in Klecany, especially in the sphere of transport, economy, municipal budget, development, population structure, social and political environment etc. One part of the thesis focuses on measuring suburbanization in Klecany using the so-called classic formula and also an opinion survey was made among the former and the new inhabitants.

Role proteinu CUP-4 ve Wnt signalizaci / The role of CUP-4 protein in Wnt signalling

Žídek, Radim January 2012 (has links)
Wnt signalling is indispensible for proper development of organisms and maintaining of adult tissue homeostasis. Its disruption often leads to disease. In nematode Caenorhabditis elegans, Wnt signalling governs vast array of developmental processes, among others also migration of the Q neuroblasts and their descendants. The sole Wnt acting in this process, EGL-20, triggers the canonical β-catenin Wnt signal transduction pathway in QL but not in QR which leads to QL remaining in the posterior while the QR migrates anteriorly. This represents a useful tool for studying Wnt signalling. Recently, mutation of gene cup-4 was found to disrupt migration of the QL neuroblast in a small proportion of the mutant population. cup-4 encodes a ligand-gated ion channel family homologue and it was shown to participate in endocytosis by coelomocytes, specialized phagocytic cells in the C. elegans body cavity. Here, I present the results of my effort to determine the place of CUP-4 action in Wnt signalling and to elucidate the mechanism of its function. I found that CUP-4 acts upstream of PRY- 1/Axin, which is involved in signal transduction in signal receiving cells, and most probably downstream of adaptin AP2, which is important for recycling of Wnt cargo receptor Wntless (Wls) in Wnt producing cell. cup-4 also...

Integrace thajských migrantů v Česku / Integration of Thai Migrants in Czechia

Šnajdr, Daniel January 2012 (has links)
This thesis analyzes the process of integration of Thai migrants into Czech society. The main aim is to explore the issue of Thai integration in Czech Republic by a quantitative research which haven`t been done fully in Czech Republic yet. Then on the basis of gained data to compare the state with another countries and to set the strategy of Thai integration in Czech Republic among the classic patterns of migrant behaviour or to identify the differences which could be specific only for Czech Republic. The thesis consists three main parts: theoretical, descriptive and practical. The introduction outlines the background of Thai migration. The theoretical framework, that follows, sets the gained information into theoretical concept of migration theories and defines important terms that accompany this thesis. Those analyzed information then help to evaluate the data gained by the practical part. The integral component of the thesis is descriptive part which outlines the development and reality of the investigated topic. The results of the questionnaire survey and interviews among Thai migrants in Czech Republic are presented in the practical part of this work. The conclusion establishes discourse between the theory and observed findings. There is also an assessment of the achieved results within the frame of...
