Specifika ošetřování Ukrajinských a Ruských klientů / Specificity of nursing care of Ucraine and Russian clientsHROMOVÁ, Miroslava January 2008 (has links)
Each year the level of migration rises. In the Czech Republic, we observe a sustained increase of variety in terms of nationalities, cultures, ethnicities. Among the numerous communities that can be found within our borders are the ethnic groups of Russians and Ukrainians. The influence that a person's cultural background has on their behavior in times of sickness and in times of health is enormous. Culture has an impact not only on a person's lifestyle, but also on the way in which such a person responds to, and should be treated with, medical care and nursing. Medical staff should be aware of the different patterns of behavior of members of various nationalities and ethnicities. The objectives of this diploma thesis are: identify specific aspects of providing nursing services to the Russian and Ukrainian minorities, and ensure that Russian and Ukrainian clients are satisfied with the nursing service in our hospitals. This paper is divided into two sections. In the theoretical part, the reader may familiarize himself or herself with the religious beliefs that form a part of the life of Russian and Ukrainian clients. This part also includes an overview of the history of these peoples, their migration, their assimilation to our conditions, the issue of barriers to communication, and the ensuing problems. The practical part of this thesis relies on qualitative research via structured interviews within the Russian and Ukrainian communities, and on quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire with which we identified the degree to which nurses are knowledgeable in the belief system of orthodox christianity, and their opinion regarding the necessity of a specific approach to providing care to Russian and Ukrainian clients. Four research questions were formulated, and have drawn answers, in the course of our research. Based on this research, we put together a nursing standard that should facilitate and improve the care provided by nurses in our hospitals. The results of this research, and this thesis itself, could be used in practice to enhance, and to improve the quality, of nursing services rendered, as a training tool for nurses, to present the results on scientific or undergraduate conferences, and for publication in professional journals.

Nelegální hispánská migrace do USA / Illegal Hispanic Migration to the USAMinčičová, Petra January 2018 (has links)
There are approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States of America presently. Mexicans are the largest group; however they are followed by immigrants from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador (GHS), a region known as the Northern Triangle. Current immigration from the region of GHS prevails. One of the reasons is an ongoing 2014 American immigration crisis, related to the migration of unaccompanied minor's. The Northern Triangle is considered to be one of the poorest in the region, with the high levels of crime and murder rates, which is likely to be caused by numerous street gangs and drug cartels. The first wave of migration was caused by civil wars in Guatemala and El Salvador in the eighties. There was another wave after 1998 caused by several natural disasters which swept through the region. The newcomers widened the numbers of undocumented immigrants in the USA. President Trump plans to deport most of the undocumented immigrants and he wants to prevent other migrants from coming with the construction of the border wall with Mexico. The immigrants live in the USA ten years or longer on average, some of them have families and kids who are American citizens. In contrast to the decision of the previous administration, they would not avoid the deportation. The current...

Právní aspekty vztahu rozvojových projektů a environmentální migrace / Legal aspects of the relationship between development projects and environmental migrationHájková, Martina January 2014 (has links)
This master thesis is focused on international-legal analysis of the relationship between development projects and environmental migration. The relationship between development projects and environmental migration is from the point of view of the international law almost unexamined and unregulated area, so this is the reason why I chose this theme as the topic of my research. The aim of this thesis is to analyse this relationship in respect to the international law and to search for an appropriate international legal instrument to regulate this relationship. The outputs are the answers to the following research questions: What is development project and what is environmental migration? What are the legal aspects of the relationship between development projects and environmental migration? Is it possible to treat this relationship in international law? Why is this area neglected by international law? Would not it be better to create a separate international legal framework for resettlement caused by development projects? The diploma thesis is composed of four main chapters, under which I am progressively trying to find answers to the above mentioned research questions. The first chapter is devoted to the development project and to determination of its definition, including its terminological...
