Čeští migranti v Polsku z pohledu transnacionalismu / Czech migrants in Poland from the perception of transnationalism

Roztočilová, Zuzana January 2021 (has links)
The work deals with the current Czech emigration to Poland. It examines how its representatives perceive their integration into Polish society and at the same time maintain transnational social ties in the Czech Republic. The author is based on the theory of transnational migration. Within this the- ory, migrants maintain ties with both the new country and the country of origin. This creates a transnational social network that connects the space of two states. At the same time as this process, however, an integration process is underway. Migrants thus integrate into the host society without breaking ties with their homeland. The imaginary space in which migrants find themselves is called the transnational social field in which migrants' identities are formed. These migrants are referred to as transmigrants. In the theoretical part of the work, the author introduces the theoretical basis of re- search on transnational migration and transnational identity. He also deals with general migration to Poland and Czech minorities in Poland. In the second part, he explains the research methodology, focusing mainly on the (auto) biographical approach, data collection techniques and their analysis. The author conducted a total of 11 in-depth interviews, which she analyzed by coding. It summa- rizes the results...

Chocholoušová, Klára January 2021 (has links)
This diploma work deals with the topic of integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic, which is a subject actual across many fields. The aim of this work is to inform about the position of foreigners in Czech society. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical. The first part of the thesis dealing with the theory in the given area strives to include the legislative regulation of general residence permits for foreigners in the Czech Republic, furthermore, the specifics in various areas of everyday life compared to the majority society and of course the integration process itself. This part of the thesis is written on the basis of current Czech legislation, sources from the literature, as well as personal experience from the position of a social worker at the Center for the Support of Integration of Foreigners in Benešov. The practical part is then devoted to qualitative research in the form of narrative interviews with foreigners with diverse origins and the current type of residence permit whose life stories are processed in the form of case studies and then compared in selected areas. During the elaboration of the practical part, the aim was to show the diversity of life stories of foreigners living in the Czech Republic for a long time and thus point out the fact that...

Vícekriteriální optimalizace elektromagnetických struktur založená na samoorganiující se migraci / Multiobjective optimization of electromagnetic structures based on self-organizing migration

Kadlec, Petr January 2012 (has links)

Sportovní imigranti a jejich vliv na rozvoj sportu a popularity ve společnosti: studie českého basketbalu / Sporting immigrants and their effect on sport growth and popularity in a culture: a case study in czech basketball

Crossan Jr., William Morea January 2013 (has links)
Title: Sporting immigrants and their effect on sport growth and popularity in a culture: A case study in Czech basketball Keywords: Sport migration, globalization, figurational theory, basketball Statement of the Problem: This study will examine the influence that immigrant athletes have on attendance and youth development in the Czech basketball league. This study is a descriptive, non- experimental, longitudinal case study in the genre of globalization in sport. This study examines the use of immigrant athletes to build non-primary sport popularity at the micro level (team, club, entity) and macro level (league, federation and nation). Purpose of the Study: This study is being undertaken to evaluate the practice of using immigrant athletes in the Czech basketball league as a cornerstone of the club business plan and sport growth. The long-term growth of the sport both to be consumed and to be partaken needs to be examined in light of the globalization which is taking place. Increasing knowledge of these trends in the Czech basketball league may provide insight into the effects of immigrant athletes on sport popularity in other receiving cultures. Research Questions: 1. What is the correlation between usage of immigrant athletes on a team in Czech basketball and fan attendance? 2. What is the...

Migrace z Bangladéše do Evropy / Migration from Bangladesh to Europe

Mucha, Zbyněk January 2018 (has links)
and Key words This thesis deals with the contemporary topic of international migration to Europe, namely the phenomenon of migration from Bangladesh to Europe. While the media and academic literature have paid attention to the migration of residents of the Middle East and Africa to Europe, the issue of migration from Bangladesh to Europe has not been frequent and well- elucidated. Thus, this thesis aspires to solve the following research questions: 1) What are the major reasons and factors inducing migration from Bangladesh in the present day; 2) What are the main points of supply of information having an influence on the decision making of migrants; 3) What are the major trends of migration between the source regions and the final destination. As primary methodical procedures, I selected in-depth and semi-structured interviews with fifteen experts, who were interviewed in Bangladesh between January and February 2018. The following conclusions have been drawn from these interviews: 1) There is no single specific motivation for the emigration from Bangladesh as it proves to be a combination of several factors which elicit migration, whether economical, socio-political, or environmental; 2) The migrants obtain information predominantly from their relatives, friends or brokers, the so-called dalals,...

Homoploidní hybridní speciace u blízce příbuzných taxonů mokřadních rostlin / Homoploid hybrid speciation in closely related taxa of wetland plants

Píšová, Soňa January 2018 (has links)
6 Summary Wetland plants share several common characters, such as clonality, wind pollination and self-compatibility that facilitate hybridization, especially in complexes of closely related taxa. In this thesis, a Sparganium erectum complex of four subspecies and 14 species of the genus Bolboschoenus were investigated to detect hybridization and verify the origins of putative hybrids. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to an introduction to hybridization, a process of great evolutionary impact, and its several general consequences, which are broadly discussed with numerous examples. In addition, an introduction to the studied taxa is provided as well as the main results of three papers that are presented and discussed herein. The second part of the thesis consists of three papers on hybridization within the Sparganium erectum aggregate (Paper I) and in the genus Bolboschoenus (Paper II, central European species; Paper III all 14 species worldwide). AFLP molecular marker analysis, sequencing of nuclear and chloroplast DNA, and genome size and morphometric analyses were applied to elucidate the genetic relationships among taxa and to confirm the suitability of morphometric characters for taxa and hybrid delimitation. The results clearly present the differentiation of individual taxa and their stable...
