Identita řecké menšiny a její transnacionální aktivity v ČR / Identity of the greek minority and its transnational activities in the CR

Hluchá, Zuzana January 2010 (has links)
The main content of this Thesis is to assess the situation of the Greek minority in the territory of the Czech Republic in the context of its arrival, settlement and integration to the major society. The aim is to assess the current situation of the minority and its transnational activities. The Greek minority in our country is numerically stable and fully integrated into the main society. The typical feature of minority is the identification with other members of minority trough their organizations and also through the internal identification with the country of their origin (namely Greece), by the traditional culture, history, cuisine and language. The Thesis is divided into eight parts that are relevant to understanding the problems of Greek minority in our country in the context of involuntary emigration from war torn Greece in the 1950's. The methods used in this thesis were the secondary analyses and the field research (the questionnaire survey). The simple statistical methods were used to gain final result. Key worlds: Greek minority, migration, identity, transnational, diaspora.

Studium kmenových buněk odvozených z varlat Xenopus tropicalis / The study of Xenopus tropicalis testis-derived stem cells

Nguyen, Thi Minh Xuan January 2019 (has links)
The study of Xenopus tropicalis testis-derived stem cells Nguyen Thi Minh Xuan Abstract The substances secreted by Sertoli cells (SCs) are crucial to determine male sex characteristics in embryos and regulate spermatogenesis in adulthood. The failure in SC maturation can cause sterility in men. Before puberty, SCs keep the ability to proliferate and have been considered as immature cells. They differ remarkably from mature cells in connection with their morphology and biochemical activity and thus they probably play a part in maintaining spermatogonia stem cells in an undifferentiated stage. The transient presence of cytokeratin in immature SCs has been reported in many species, but not in Xenopus yet. We investigated which molecules are expressing only in immature Sertoli cells of X. tropicalis testes. The regulation of cytokeratin and β-catenin was revealed by fluorescent immunostaining. Cytokeratin and membrane β-catenin co- expressed in X.tropicalis juvenile testes and in cultured SC progenitors, called XtiSCs, but they were absent in adulthood. There was no signal of cytokeratin in migrating SCs (pre-SCs) located outside the seminiferous tubules. The suppression of cytokeratin along with the breakdown of β-catenin-based cell contacts have been observed in XtiSCs after the treatment with a small...

Migrace českých juniorských hokejistů / Migration of Czech junior hockey players

Bureš, Jan January 2020 (has links)
Title: Migration of Czech junior hockey players Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to understand the relationship between migration of Czech junior hockey players and the level of their success in the NHL. To help accomplish this goal, desirable secondary data needed to be collected. One of the secondary goals of this thesis was to analyze topics and studies related to this thesis. Methods: This thesis uses quantitative research. One of crucial methods used is document analysis; analysis of related case studies and data in particular. Comparative research was also used to compare data collected in this thesis and data collected in related case studies. Correlation analysis was used to understand the relationship between migration and success in the NHL. Results: The results of this thesis follow up on related case studies in certain aspects, mainly the data gathered in said studies. Comparison of data collected in mentioned studies and this thesis proves the generally known decline of total number of Czech players drafted to and playing in the NHL. The number of Czech players in the NHL has more than halved in the last 20 years. Case studies previously done on this topic showed that Czech players who spend their junior years abroad are very unlikely to succeed in the NHL. The results...

Nelegální zaměstnávání cizinců v ČR / Illegal foreigners' employment in the Czech Republic

Trousilová, Jana January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with the illegal employment of the third countries' foreigners in the Czech Republic. Since foreign labor migration is a subject set by the legislation, the thesis introduces the development of labor migration in the setting of policy and foreign employment in terms of institutional and legal framework. Another part is based on interviews I conducted with employers, strangers, staff offices and experts. Due to the persistent illegal labor supply and demand, I focused on the motives that lead employers and foreigners to apply that kind of illegal employment. Themes, however, cause a number of consequences, so I focused on the consequences that affect not only migrants themselves but also the state. The next part of my thesis deals with the individual groups of respondents. I focused on setting the current employment system and on the labor market conditions from the sight of addressed respondents. In conclusion, I point out the possible solutions to the mentioned problems in order to reduce the illegal employment of foreigners.

Institucionální systém upravující migraci v České republice / The institutional system of regulating migration in the Czech Republic

Weiszová, Alica January 2012 (has links)
The success of each of the policies implemented and the achievement of their proclaimed goals is largely influenced by the institutional framework - formal, which is legal framework that is codified and informal, which consists mainly of culture and values of society. The Czech Republic after 1989 began to take over Western legal standards, although the attitudes and moral values of the majority of society did not comply. The actual form of the Czech legal norms was influenced by bringing this country into the European Union, but also by the development of the local labour market and the attitudes of the Czech public, which is reflected most in the government-approved material, the Interior Ministry "Draft Measures to managing economic migration" and that just through the legislative process. The Czech Republic, as well as countries of the European Union, meets the paradox of EU (defined by Genç). On one side Czech law marginalized employees from the third countries and on the other hand Czech Economy these workforces needs, and that is why are created programs to attract "Requested "workers. The Czech Republic is considered by economic migrants from third countries as "buffer" land, which is for them a gateway to enter into more advanced countries of the European Union. This trend is confirmed in...

Vrátím se brzy / I will be back soon

Novotná, Anna January 2013 (has links)
Key words: Mongolian female migrants in the Czech Republic, gender, migration, transnational motherhood, remmitences, social network, work Abstract In my diploma thesis I primarily focus on a situation of Mongolian women in the course of their labour migration into the Czech Republic. I addressed 20 women, who are (or have been until recently) transnational mothers living together and working in a factory in North Bohemia, Czech Republic, for my research purposes. Regardless the fact whether these women are married or divorced, single mothers or widows, it also connects them that they all may be considered breadwinners of their families. I was as well interested in what their decision was to leave Mongolia for the Czech Republic in order to get a job - I focused on both personal situation and general conditions in current Mongolia. My research deals with three main topics. Transnational motherhood is the first topic I deal with, in what I pay attention to what is the women's attitude to cope with their new role as well as what emphasis they place on it. Social networks issues and their usage in migration is firmly connected to this topic so that I also look into the way my participants use of these social networks together with the way these networks work. My last topic is a key motive of Mongolian women's...

Polští pracovníci v ČSSR: nevítaná družba: Specifika dočasné zahraniční pracovní migrace v socialistickém systému / Polish Workers in Czechoslovakia: Unwelcome Friendship: Specific features of temporary labor migration in the socialist system

Klípa, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
Dissertation Title Polish Workers in Czechoslovakia: Unwelcome Friendship Specific features of temporary labor migration in the socialist system Author Ondřej Klípa Summary The aim of the dissertation is to study the case of Polish workers in Czechoslovakia who were employed on conditions set by intergovernmental treaties. Most of them were women. This case had two specific features. First, it was highly regulated by both of the co-operating states. Second, the state bodies tried to control intensively both the workers in order to isolate them from local population and the public discourse of this topic. In this study I argue that both of the features arise from fundamental elements of socialist system, which are "economy of shortage" and totalitarianism. These elements were identified in the work of Hungarian economist János Kornai. Instead of totalitarianism as a coherent concept I use only certain totalitarian practices that were exercised with variable intensity, depending on circumstances. In the dissertation I examine causality between these two fundamental elements (independent variables) and both regulation and control (dependent variables). For this purpose I consider the studied case as a specific model of temporary labor migration in socialist system. The case is also situated in a broader...

Zelená karta - karta, která neláká : hodnocení programu zjednodušeného zaměstnávání cizinců / Green Card - a card wich does not attract or evaluation of simplified employment of foreigners

Solnářová, Dagmar January 2014 (has links)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the evaluation of the project of green cards which is a Czech version of the programme of advantageous employment for the foreigners. Green card represents a special type of visa authorization which the citizens from selected countries outside of EU and EEA can apply for. The project was supposed to attract the foreign workers to come and work in Czech Republic in the fields with high demand of labour force, and thus to meet the needs of employers and to stabilize the situation on the labour market. It was expected that it would raise the interest of tens of thousands of foreigners. However, in reality the program is used to the minimal extent and to these days (or so to say by the end of 2012) Czech Republic issued less than four hundred green cards. Therefore, the main aim of this thesis is to define the reasons behind the low and unsatisfactory use of this programme. The thesis is based on the theory of implementation. The main theoretical basis represents: top-down institutional framework of P. Sabatier and D. Mazmanian and an instrumental approach combining multiple perspectives of various authors. Hence the design of the research can be characterised as a case study in which both qualitative and quantitative research methods are applied. Specific data...

Brána cizincům otevřena? / Is the Gate Opened for Foreigners?

Nachtigal, Lukáš January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to present the topic of migration and integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic and to define a role of non-profit organizations in this process. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze a degree of the involvement of the non-profit organizations and their contribution to the integration process of foreigners in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis presents the topic of migration and integration and applies theoretical perspectives onto the current situation in the Czech migration and integration policy. It tries to introduce the development of the policy after 1989 to its reader and to describe its current issues. The second part focuses onto the non-profit sector, defines possible forms of partnership with government institutions and describes the current situation and the main actors. The third part of the thesis consists of the analysis of the semi-structured interviews with the chosen representatives of the non-profit organizations and the government institutions with the aim to define a role of Czech non-profit organizations in the integration process including any obstacles which might impede the deeper involvement of the non-profit organizations.
