Surfing jako klíčová příčina sociální a kulturní změny marockého Taghazoutu / Surfing as a key cause of social and cultural changes in Moroccan Taghazout

Remešová, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
1 Abstract In this thesis I am focused on long-term research in a small Moroccan village of Taghazout where I had the opportunity to observe for several years the rapid changes in the local environment; a fishing village not too affected by tourism has become a popular center for surfers from all around the world and headquarters of foreign investors, which completely changed the character of the place. I first visited Taghazout in October 2010 for the purpose of surfing, I made friends with the locals and became insider to some extent. From this position I was then gaining during the research, in which I focused specifically on the case study of my main informants and friends who are Moroccan founders of a local company, that runs business connected to surfing. I have regularly visited Taghazout since 2010 at least once a year. From 2013 I started actively doing preliminary researches and the actual fieldwork lasted from October 2014 to January 2015, when I lived in Taghazout. The aim of my study was to explore and describe primarily, what changes occurred in the village due to tourism and surfing, how are these changes reflected in the functioning of my informant's company, if they consider them negative or positive and in what ways. I confronted their statements with my own observations and with...

Význam remitencí v kontextu současného rozvojového diskurzu / The importance of remittances in the context of contemporary development discourse

Žižková, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the phenomenon of remittances (money or products sent by migrants to their countries of origin) and their relation to current development discourse. The volumes of remittances are still growing and this revenue has become especially significant for developing countries. This thesis, therefore, does not only focus on the economic contribution of remittances but analyses them in a broader context. Its aim is to find whether and how do remittances contribute to the overall development of poor countries. This thesis offers a historical overview of developmental discourse and followed by specification of four key concepts of current development (empowerment, ownership, good governance and sustainable development), whereby this thesis constitutes a framework for further analysis. Remittances are substantially connected to the concepts of empowerment and ownership. They enable the recipients to meet their needs more freely and decide how to invest their money. From the point of views of good government concept, it is important, that remittances can help to put more pressure on the democratization of developing countries. Fulfilment of these concepts, as well as the stability of remittances, implies, that this revenue supports sustainable development in poor countries. This thesis is...

Vnímání vlastní cizosti jako vnitřní překážka integrace / Perception of a Strangeness as an Inner Barrier of Integration

Tučková, Anna January 2017 (has links)
This work deals with the question whether the way one understands his strangeness can influence possibility of integrating migrants into the majority. The work presents some theories of personal and ethnical identity in the tradition of social constructivism. In these theories the identity is usually constructed in the opposition to strange or other, but can strange or other be the basis for the construction of one's identity? This problem is approached from the stand point of the basic sociological theories of stranger (Simmel, Schütz, Park, Siu, Bauman). Based on these theories this work argues that stranger can be an identity. The following analysis of in-depth interviews shows if and how is identity of stranger manifested in everyday life of migrants.

Vliv multikulturalismu na organizace občanské společnosti / Effects of multiculturalism on civil society organizations

Michalíková, Lenka January 2017 (has links)

Amenitní migrace v druhé generaci / Amenity migration in second generation

Davídková, Petra January 2018 (has links)
This work examines amenity migration and its main focus refers to the second generation of amenity migrants. The work also touches on the current world expression of ones attitude and the opinion about the rest of the world, but also the socialstatus. Amenity migration has became a phenomenon over the past few decades and usually is a reaction to the bustling, impersonal and stressful lifestyle, which relates to living in urban areas. The subject of this work are two groups of the direct descendants of the amenity migrants. The first group being the children, who knew the city life before moving to the countryside, while the second group are the descendetns, who were born into the amenity way of life. Additionally, the amenity migrants themselves were approached as well. The aim of this work is to find out whether the descendatns of the amenity migrants are determined to continue in the existing way of life, into which they were brought to by their parents. The circumstances of the aforementioned phenomena are recorded in the theoretical part of this thesis. The main authorities dedicated to this issues of amenity migration, whose work became the inspiration for my research and was cited and paraphrased, are Ing. M. Bartoš, Professor L.A. Moss and Dr. R. Glorioso. A qualitative research was chosen...

Administrativní regulování migračních procesů v sovětské a postsovětské Moskvě. / Administrative Regulation of Migration Processes in Soviet and post-Soviet Moscow.

Andrle, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
This dissertation analyses the system of internal passports as a central administrative instrument of controlling migration processes in the Soviet Union and post-Soviet Russia. Specifically, the study focuses on the topic of using the passport system, and the restrictions incorporated in this system, on the territory of Moscow. The aim of the study is two-fold. Firstly, it strives to identify, from a position of historical institutionalism, the factors which allowed Moscow, many years after the dissolution of the USSR, to control migration processes within its borders using distinctively "Soviet" methods, in clear violation of federal laws. On a different level of analysis, the dissertation focusses on the regulatory methods themselves: it examines the genesis and early evolution of the internal passport system and the mechanism of so-called propiska (registration), in the era of Stalinist industrialization, before turning to the process of the system's erosion and partial dismantling during the late Soviet and early post-Soviet years. Finally, the study aims to analyse the methods chosen for controlling migration in Moscow during the rule of mayor Yuri Luzhkov (1992-2010), and the way his policies affected the migration situation in Russia's capital.

Účinky sekuritizace migrace: případ Slovenské a České republiky / The Effects of Securitising Migration: The Case of Slovakia and the Czech Republic

Bandurová, Jana January 2018 (has links)
The Master's thesis called "The Effects of Securitising Migration: The case of Slovakia and the Czech Republic" aims to analyse the extent to which is migration constructed as a security threat in crucial conceptual and strategic documents regarding migration, drafted by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic. Given that the Ministry of Interior is a key player in the field of migration in both countries setting the direction of migration policy on conceptual, legislative and implementation level, it enters a discursive field of migration by offering its own understanding of migration, which has a great impact on the policymaking in the area of migration, migration practice and consequently on the life of migrants. Despite the fact that both Slovakia and the Czech Republic have one of the lowest shares of foreigners within population in the whole European Union as well as neither of the two countries have been the final destinations of migrants during the so called refugee crisis, we can identify the dominant role of security discourse in both countries. To get a better insight into a wider social context, the thesis also builds on the number of "texts and talks" dealing with the issue of migration beside the official policy documents and...
