The diploma thesis Milan Kundera and Intertextuality deals with aspects of relations between the texts in his novels. The first part outlines the intertextuality, theory of the novel and the approaches of some literary theorists towards this issue. The second half of the thesis analyzes the intertextuality in Kundera's works in various forms, mainly based on the themes of dreams and physicality. The greatest emphasis is placed on examining the legacy of Kafka in the context of Kundera's works, particularly in the novels The Joke and The Book of Laughter and Forgetting. Nel Risorgimento alla definizione del concetto di identità nazionale concorse una serie di fattori legati alla sfera culturale: dalle letture che ispirarono i patrioti, agli scritti che essi stessi diedero alle stampe, ai simboli ed ai miti che entrarono a fare parte del loro linguaggio, fino alla cultura teatrale e alla teatralità, e quindi al momento festivo e rituale, visti come motivo di aggregazione, partecipazione e trasmissione di valori civili fondanti. Nel presente lavoro si indagano le connessioni tra la ritualità cittadina ed il teatro e gli spiriti libertari ed i valori civili propri del periodo risorgimentale in area milanese, dal 1815 della Restaurazione al 1859 dell’entrata degli alleati in Milano. / In the Risorgimento some cultural factors contributed to the definition of the idea of national identity: readings that inspired patriots, writings they printed, symbols and myths that became part of their language, theatrical culture and theatricality and celebrations and rituals, considered like reason of aggregation, participation and transmission of civil virtues. This thesis examines relationships between rituals, theatre and libertarian feelings and civil values of the Risorgimento, in Milan, from 1815 to 1859.

Il genere del cosiddetto “poema sacro” fu uno dei più frequentati nella letteratura italiana tra il XVI e il XVIII secolo, ma le opere afferenti a questa categoria letteraria sono state a lungo ignorate dai critici. La mia ricerca si propone di studiare una sezione limitata di tale enorme produzione, ossia le opere in volgare pubblicate nel Ducato di Milano, coprendo un arco temporale che va dal 1566 al 1706. Sulla base di una rigorosa analisi dei componimenti, spesso poco studiati o del tutto sconosciuti, questo lavoro intende delineare le peculiari declinazioni dell'epica sacra nella realtà milanese, fortemente influenzata dall'indirizzo culturale proposto da Carlo e Federico Borromeo. Gli autori dei poemi considerati sono Sisto Poncello, Giovanni Maria Paroli, Cesare Della Porta, Ettore Colombo, Annibale Guasco, Giacomo Turamini, Antonio da Brugnato, Bernardino Baldi, Antonio Biaguazzone, Giulio Fe', Lelio Guidiccioni, Ambrogio Ferro, Francesco Antonio Tomasi, Francesco Pallavicini, Stefano Rossi, Giacinto Faggi, Giuseppe De Maltraversi, Pietro Paolo Giletti, Alessandro Ghirardelli, Basilio Bertucci. / The so-called “sacred poem” was one of the most successful genres of the Italian literature between the 16th and the 18th century, but the works belonging to this category have usually been ignored by critics. My research aims at studying a limited part of this enormous literary production, considering the vernacular poems published in the Duchy of Milan between 1566 and 1706. On the basis of a meticulous analysis of the texts, often scarcely studied or completely unknown, I intend to determine the features of the sacred epic in the Milanese environment, which was strongly influenced by the cultural policy promoted by Carlo and Federico Borromeo. The Master's thesis "The Role and Importance of Humorous Television Programs in Czechoslovakia in The Years of Normalization. The Phenomenon of a Comic Pair Lasica and Satinský,"discusses the importance of humorous shows within the program structure of the Czechoslovak Television in 1969-1989. The work deals with the issues of television entertainment and the developments that affect a number of criteria. The work points to the former television entertainment context, the possibility of posting humorous programs, and their position in the television program. The work will identify the type and frequency of various entertainment programs and their presenters as well as discuss their contribution to television entertainment. The paper seeks to deepen its analysis of television entertainment, namely in the humorous sessions of Milan Lasica and Julius Satinský. Their artistic activity compared to television based on criteria such as: frequency, form of humor, specific pairs etc., with other comics CST sessions will be analysed. An important part of the analysis will be means of expression used by comedians in broadcasts.

Myšlení a hodnoty tří uměleckých generací české avantgardy (1919-1989) / Visions and Beliefs of Three Generations of the Czech Avant-garde (1919-1989)

Aim of this work is to make a comparison of three generations (1918 - 1989) of discourse art theorists and to point to their similarity. Specifically, the main personalities and spokespersons of Czech avant-garde art and underground, who are Karel Teige, Vladimír Boudník, Egon Bondy, Milan Knížák and Ivan Martin Jirous. This work analyses the content the interpretive models which are contained in the manifestos and manifestations text (Chapter 2) and reconstruction experience and feeling of historical avant-gards based on work with ego-documents (Chapter 3). The result of this analysis is a description of the differences (and dynamics) of development of avant-garde, but especially characteristic of avant-garde and underground mental world. The analysis shows that the artistic avant-garde (Teige) and underground (Jirous, Knížák), as well as the second generation standing on the edge of the avant-garde and underground (Boudník, Bondy) show great similarity with many common features. Individual features common to the avant-garde and underground are summarized in the conclusion. O campo desta investigação é o conjunto residencial social de \"Via Cenni\" em Milão Itália. O estudo do caso Cenni, dos seus aspectos financeiros-econômicos, projetuais, construtivos de madeira e de ocupação do conjunto, relacionará este conjunto habitacional às possíveis diretrizes e estudos preliminares para sistemas construtivos de madeira no Brasil. Pretendemos difundir o uso da madeira na construção habitacional social com sistemas semelhantes ao CLT (cross laminated timber) ou XLAM (painéis de laminas maciças fixadas em X) e criar melhoria das condições de vida da população urbana e rural mais necessitada. / The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate and reserch new technologies in wood construction for social housing in Brazil. The field of this investigation is the \"Via Cenni\" residential complex in Milan, Italy. The study of \"Via Cenni\"\'s case, its financial and economics aspects, projectuals, wood building and the complex occupation will connect this residential complex to possible guidelines and to preliminary studies for wood constructions systems in Brazil. It is expected to diffuse the uses of wood in the social housing construction with similar systems to CLT(cross laminated timber) or XLAM (solid blades panels fixed in X) and to improve life conditions to the needy urban and rural population.

How this can give a new signification to the idea of identity, understood as a product of relation to the country they came from? Some hypothesis raised: the separation of homeland gives to the outcasts a critical and sensitive consciousness about the relationship between people and their land. The novel, as form of the transcendent homelessness, captures the wanderer with a new image and updates his critical view. The essayistic form, in both novels, contributes to the thematic discussion, being a compositional element of the works. As theoretical axis, we stand out the ideas of Lukács, Adorno and Walter Benjamin, as well critical texts of José Saramago and Milan Kundera as fundament to the creation of poetics of the novel. Regarding the wandering theme, we choose the studies of Michel Maffesoli and Édouard Glissant. The comparative method gave us a more in-depth debate about the wandering theme and how the novel forms echoes the contemporary dilemma regarding notions of identity and globalization. / O objetivo desta dissertação é analisar como a forma romanesca opera a temática da errância nas obras de José Saramago e Milan Kundera, comparando-as a partir do eixo das personagens, a fim de responder às seguintes questões: de que modo o desterro, vivenciado pelas personagens, (des)sacraliza a imagem do errante? Como isso pode ressignificar a concepção de identidade, entendida como produto da relação com a terra onde nasceram? Algumas hipóteses foram levantadas: o afastamento da terra natal leva os desterrados a uma consciência crítica e sensível sobre a relação entre o indivíduo e a terra; o romance, como forma do desterro transcendental, apreende o errante em nova imagem e atualiza sua identidade crítica; a questão ensaística, em ambos os romances, contribui para a discussão da temática, ao se apresentar como elemento de composição nas obras. Como eixo teórico sobre o gênero romanesco, destacamos as propostas de Lukács, Adorno e Walter Benjamin, além de utilizarmos textos críticos de José Saramago e Milan Kundera como base para a elaboração de uma poética do romance. Sobre a temática da errância, destacamos os estudos de Michel Maffesoli e Édouard Glissant. A escolha do método comparativo resultou em um aprofundamento da reflexão sobre a temática da errância e sobre a maneira como a forma romanesca reflete os dilemas da contemporaneidade em relação aos conceitos de identidade nacional e globalização

Le modèle formel de la variation sur thème, qui est célèbre surtout à cause de son emploi en tant que principe de composition musical – notamment pour les développements que y ont apporté des artistes comme Bach, Beethoven ou Schönberg -, toutefois n’épuise pas ses potentialités expressives exclusivement dans le cadre de cet art.Dans le roman, notamment, l’adoption du principe de composition nommé variation sur thème, qui implique la présentation du même thème (ou motif) par de perspectives différentes (que peuvent correspondre au point de vue des diverses personnages ou à la distance temporelle différente prise en rapport à la narration du même événement), semble se présenter comme un expédient idéalement fonctionnel à l’obtention de l’objectif cognitif le principal de cet art, qui concerne le dévoilement de la substantielle relativité de toutes les vérités apparentes. Alors que de romanciers tel que Milan Kundera ou Danilo Kiš, dans leurs œuvres, semblent avoir interprété le modèle des variations comme un principe fonctionnel à la réalisation d’une structure organique et unitaire, parfaitement concentrée autour du thème, dans d’autres romans contemporains, par exemple dans Si une nuit d’hiver un voyageur (1979) de Italo Calvino o dans Les variations Goldberg (1981) di Nancy Huston, les variations assument une disposition de type sériel.Dans ces derniers cas, la forme de la variation sur thème est utilisée, plutôt que comme un modèle de composition, comme un principe de désagrégation de la matière romanesque. / Theme and variation, a formal technique that is popular mainly through its applications within music, in particular thanks to contributions by artists such as Bach, Beethoven or Schönberg, nevertheless has expressive potentials that go beyond the boundaries of this art. In particular, it is in the novel that the use of variation as a composing principle, implying the presentation of a single central theme or motif by different perspectives (that may correspond to the point of view of different characters, or to different amounts of time elapsed from the actual happening of an event to its narration), seems to lend itself as the ideal device to achieve the main cognitive objective of this art, that is the unveiling of the substantial relativity of all things.While novelists such has Milan Kundera or Danilo Kiš seem to have developed, in their work, the theme and variation technique as a principle that is functional to an organic and uniform form of composition, ideally focused on a single theme, in other novels, such as If on a winter's night a traveler (1979) by Italo Calvino or Variations Goldberg (1981) by Nancy Huston, the variations are disposed so as to acquire a serial connotation. In those latter cases, the theme and variation technique is used as a functional principle for the disaggregation of the matter of the novel, rather than as a composition technique.

Nella prima parte la tesi analizza la fondazione e i primi anni di attività dei quattro collegi femminili fondati in età napoleonica: il Reale Collegio delle fanciulle di Milano, il Collegio agli angeli di Verona, il Collegio san Benedetto di Montagnana e il collegio Maria Cosway di Lodi. Lo studio è stato condotto mediante una puntuale attività di ricerca negli archivi di stato di Milano, Verona e Venezia, e nell'archivio comunale di Montagnana. Il collegio di Milano fu il modello per gli altri collegi, ai quali fornì l'esempio dei regolamenti, dei programmi di studio e più in generale, dell'impostazione pedagogica complessiva di un moderno convitto laicale. Nel presente lavoro quindi vengono ricostruite la giornata delle educande e il livello della loro preparazione culturale in un'ottica di un rinnovato modello di donna. Si analizzano con attenzione i libri di testo adottati per comprendere la qualità dei saperi riservati alle donne. Nell'ultima parte della tesi, vi è uno studio quantitativo relativo all'età delle alunne e alla loro provenienza geografica e sociale. / In the first part the doctoral thesis analyses the foundation and the first years of activity of the four girls' boarding schools founded during the Napoleonic age: the Reale Collegio delle fanciulle in Milan, the Collegio agli angeli in Verona, the Collegio San Benedetto in Montagnana and the Collegio Maria Cosway in Lodi. The survey has been pursued through accurate researches in the state archives in Milan, Verona and Venice and in the municipal archives in Montagnana. The Milan girls' boarding school was the model for the other schools, to which it provided paragon for regulations, curricula and in general for comprehensive pedagogic methods of a modern lay boarding school. This work reconstructs the boarders' daily life and the level of their cultural background in the perspective of a renewed idea of woman. The chosen textbooks are carefully examined to understand the quality of knowledge intended for women. In the last part of the dissertation there is a quantitative study about the age of the schoolgirls and about their social and geographical provenance.

Spazio e povertà: tre saggi empirici / Space and poverty linkages: three empirical essays

Questa tesi si sviluppa secondo tre saggi empirici, indagando il rapporto tra spazio e povertà in un contesto urbano industrializzato, Milano. Il primo saggio, accogliendo lo schema concettuale unificante per l’analisi del suddetto rapporto illustrato in Chiappero-Martinetti, Moroni e Nuvolati (forthcoming), suggerisce un sistema di 27 indicatori riferito a 3 dimensioni chiave del benessere (infrastrutturale-ambientale, economica e socio-simbolica), ne testa la robustezza e fornisce l’indicazione di un profilo di povertà per ciascuna delle ex 20 zone di decentramento. Il secondo saggio considera esclusivamente la dimensione economica, estendendo il campo di indagine alle 180 aree funzionali. Da questa analisi si ottiene che, dal 2000 al 2006, il reddito medio procapite per componenti equivalenti risulta autocorrelato in modo significativo, secondo diversi regimi di concentrazione (cluster spaziali tipici e outlier spaziali atipici). Il terzo saggio considera le 3 dimensioni menzionate nel primo contributo, riferite alle 180 aree funzionali. All’approccio theory driven se ne contrappone uno data-driven, che consente di specificare la relazione che intercorre tra le variabili e le sottodimensioni del benessere, identificare sei distinti gruppi di cluster sulla base delle misure sintetiche ottenute e suggerire un profilo di policy che combini interventi a favore delle persone e dei contesti di vita. / This thesis is developed under three empirical essays, investigating the linkage between space and poverty in the urban industrialized Milan. The first essay, accepting the unifying conceptual framework for the analysis of such linkage issued by Chiappero-Martinetti, Moroni and Nuvolati (forthcoming), suggests a system of 27 indicators related to 3 key dimensions of wellbeing (physical, economic and social ), tests its robustness and provides the indication of a poverty profile for each of the former 20 areas of decentralization. The second essay considers only the economic dimension, extending the investigation to the 180 “aree funzionali”. From this analysis we find that, from 2000 to 2006, the average per capita income per equivalent components is significantly autocorrelated, according to various concentration schemes (typical spatial clusters, atypical spatial outliers). The third essay considers the three dimensions mentioned in the first contribution but related to the 180 “aree funzionali”. In opposition to that theory-driven, this data-driven approach allows to specify the relationship between the variables and sub-dimensions of wellbeing, to identify six distinct cluster groups on the basis of the synthetic measures obtained and to suggest a policy profile combining people and area-based interventions.
