The diploma thesis is of theoretic-empirical character with focus on values and value system of university students these days. First part deals with following concepts: adolescence, cognitive changes, emotionality, identity, sexuality, socialization, generational conflict. Further it specifies and explains what is value, its types and historical background, then evaluation and attitudes. The last part of theoretical section discusses young generation of today, covers moral and value development, future objectives, summarizes the overall view of youth of today with regards to executed research. It also reflects value changes of German adolescents. The practical section was carried out through questionnaire survey. Obtained information served for comparison of value system between students of Pedagogical Faculty at University of South Bohemia and university students from Augsburg, Bayreuth and Braunschweig. The goal of this thesis is thus to compare the value system between Czech and German university students.

This thesis deals with the issue of first lessons of teaching French as a foreign language which are important to stimulate children's interest in learning a new language, they are often called "lessons zero". The aim of this thesis is to describe and to compare lessons zero in different French textbooks and then assess them and show the possibilities for the teaching of first lessons. In the first part, the thesis deals with the psychological terms associated with lessons zero: preconception and motivation and their use in the first lessons of language teaching, then the thesis focuses on the lesson zero itself (its characteristics, goals, preparation, problematic points). The practical part is an analysis of ten chosen French textbooks, which are divided according to applied methods, audience age and the country of origin. During the analysis, the thesis works at first with lessons zero in concrete textbook and then it deals in more details with several specific criteria: name, number of pages, content, position of writing, use or non-use of mother language, activities on preconceptions, games, civilizations and visual aspect of lesson zero in chosen textbooks, which then compares. This diploma thesis deals with characteristic of the concept urbanonyms and subsequent research urbanonyms in the town Ostrov in terms of their changes in six historical periods of the 20th century. To the group of urbanonyms are included the names of streets, parks, gardens, bridges, churches, chapels, monasteries, famous buildings and monuments of the historical center and the new part of town. The urbanonyms are analyzed and categorized by semantic motivation. Attention is focused on the factors that influence motivation and their subsequent transformations over the years. The development of street nomenclature is monitored with regard to honorific motivation and representation of the types of motives. The aim of the diploma thesis is to explore urbanonyms of the Ostrov and contribute to the local toponymy,which has not yet been analyzed.

This thesis is focused on the inclusion of educational games in teaching physics at the elementary schools. The work aims to create a set of educational games for teaching physics at the elementary school. The theoretical part analyzes the theory of didactic games and use of games in education, increasing motivation among pupils. Further the theoretical part consists of an analysis of the selected thematic unit "substances and bodies". The practical part consists of a set of my own didactic games. Created didactic games can serve mainly for practicing, repetition and consolidation of curriculum and are designed to develop the selected key competencies to stimulate the innate playfulness and creativity of students. They also provide feedback on students' knowledge. It is possible to include games into the teaching in the form of competitions of individuals, couples or groups of pupils. Didactic games' benefits were verified in tests. Evaluation and results of these tests are elaborated at the end of this work.

The aim of my thesis " Comparison of the Motivation and Professional Background of the Various Forms of Animal Assisted Activities" is to determine through literature, opinions of therapists and observation to determine what is the motivation, professional background and time demand to all forms of therapy. The first part focuses on the cross-section of views of the theoretical literature focusing on animal assisted activities. Here I describe the differences between different forms of animal assisted activities and I also deal with ethology of dogs. In the second part I find out through interviews and observations, I find actual evidence from animal assisted activities and I specifically discuss the use of animal assisted activities on the first grade of primary school. At the end of the thesis I summarize insights from observations, processed interviews and also from my own experience and I evaluate usage of animal assisted activities on the first grade of primary school.

The theorethical part of this study defines values, their function, formation and place in society. It describes the term motivation, its development, various models and factors and also focuses on the concept of social work, its objectives, activities, competences and typologies of social worker. Finally, the study points out the role of gender, the differences in boys and girls socialization, the gender aspect in our society and whether this aspect is reflected in field of social work. This thesis examines the motivation of social workers towards lifelong education. In the first part there is the summary of current state of lifelong education of social workers in the Czech republic, particularly the legislation that includes the obligation of such education. It also consits of other documents that somehow include requirements of lifelong education, proposed changes of so-called professional law and experts' opinions. In the second part, I examine the motivation towards lifeong education, theory of motivation and pros and cons of that education. The thesis also includes a survey which is made of interviews with social workers. The participants were asked about their perception of need of such education in social work, how such education works at their workplace, what works as thier motivation towards it and whether they see any obstacles in getting it.
