Analýza a popis zpravodajství Rádia Blaník / Analysis and Description of the Radio Blaník NewscastChraščová, Veronika January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with the transformation of the Radio Blaník newscast. The aim was to analyse and evaluate the real newscasts broadcast by the radio station. I addressed the topic in a theoretical and historical context. Nevertheless, the analytical part is crucial in my thesis. I have examined newscasts of all three models used by Radio Blaník during its existence. At the same time, I was interested in the process of news production and the reasons why such a fundamental and unique change like a new newscast format has taken place repeatedly. I not only paid attention to technical changes, but I also took account of the radio target group and the image that the radio station attempts to present in mass media. I was interested whether or not Radio Blaník has gradually given up its positive and regional nature. In both the theoretical and analytical part, I collected information mainly from interviews with radio station managers, radio station archive, and my own experience that I have gained during my work for Radio Blaník.

Bortglömda nyheter : En pilotstudie om hågkomsten av nyheterna i Dagens eko kvart i femEriksson, Elin, Kihlberg, Nicklas January 2013 (has links)
In this essay a pilot study on the memory of Swedish Public Service radio news is presented. 30 subjects participated in the study, which was performed during three days, 18 to 20 of November 2013. The material which formed the basis for the study consisted three newscasts of Sweden's most popular radio newscast ”Dagens eko”, which is broadcasted live at 16.45 every day in the Public Service channels SR P1 and SR P4. The subjects listened to the broadcasts each day, and their memory of them was tested the day after each broadcast. The aim of the thesis is to find out which properties of the audience that affect how much – and what parts – of a newscast that the audience remember. The properties the study has examined are gender, age, domicile and which other news media the study participants used during each day of the study. The aim of this paper is also to show which properties of the newscasts, and the news stories which they contain, that affect how much and what parts of the newscast the audience remember. No general conclusions can be drawn from the results presented in this paper as it is a pilot study with a limited material. The results presented apply only to the selected subjects in the selected three days. In this pilot study women remembered more news stories from the newscasts than men, listeners older than 50 years remembered more news stories from the newscasts than listeners younger than 50 years and listeners who consumed many other traditional news media during the pilot study remembered more from the newscasts than listeners who did not. Domicile does, according to the results of this pilot studie, not affect the remembrance of a newscast. It was also found that there were large differences regarding how well the different news stories were remembered. Some of the news stories were remembered by almost all subjects, while others were forgotten by the same number. The pilot study suggests that characteristics that increase the remembrance of a novelty are that the news story is a national news story, that it is mentioned in the introductory presentation of the broadcast, that it is presented as one of the three or four first news or at the very end of the broadcast, that it contain at least one interview or a speaker and that it is considered to be sensational. The pilot study also suggests that information about the actors and locations in a news story gets better remembered than information about what the news event actually was, why the news event occurred or what affect it will get.

Discurso informativo audiovisual: Sentidos engendrados na enunciação telejornalística / Audiovisual informative speech: Produced senses in news enunciationTorres, Carla Simone Doyle 18 February 2008 (has links)
Brazil, everyday in our houses, represented by a language that conjugates the power of speech of authority instituted to the nearly undisputed power of images.
But how are these printed truths produced and sustained in each new edition of a nationwide television newscast? In order to clarify fundamental aspects of textual
strategies which show a relation of enunciative instance with the audiovisual informative texts, as well as the resulting effects of this manipulation, theoreticalmethodological categories based on the detailing of the effects of enunciation and reality were elected. The theoretical-methodological contribution includes authors such as Foucault, Charaudeau, Verón, Vilches, Mouillaud, Maingueneau, Peruzzolo, Fausto Neto, Duarte and Becker. Allied to the theoretical categories,
we also have, duly detailed, the empirical journalistic structures present in the corpus formed by editions of Jornal da Band and Jornal Nacional. The objective
is to detect the circulating senses in two of the most important television newscasts of the country. Without any intention of comparison between the referred informative products, this characteristic collaborates as a methodological tool for observation of the possible diversity of angulations and speech data treatments of daily life under the media holophotes. Among the main results is the most frequent subjective enunciative deepening in Jornal da Band, as well as a more pronounced tendency to the objectification of the informative texts.
Vilches, Mouillaud, Maingueneau, Peruzzolo, Fausto Neto, Duarte e Becker.

A STUDY ON THE RURAL NEWS ON TV AND THE PROCESS OF REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.Emmanuelle Monike Silva Feitosa 02 May 2013 (has links)
Komparace hlavních večerních zpravodajských relací ČT1 a TV Nova z genderového hlediska / The comparison of ČT1 and TV Nova evening newscasts from a gender perspective.Hlavoňová, Kateřina January 2012 (has links)
The comparison of ČT1 and TV Nova evening newscasts from a gender perspective Study is focused on the comparison of ČT1 (Události) and TV Nova (Televizní noviny) evening newscasts from a gender perspective. In my diploma thesis I follow some feminist studies that were done mainly in the anglo-american context - I try to verify if western theories about androcentrism in television newscast are valid in the czech context. My study is primarily based on the quantitative content analysis of the news - I am interested in aspects like gender inequality, representations of men and women (alternatively of transgender people), gender roles, gender stereotypes (reproduction or subversion) and reflection of the feminist thought by these media. The main aim of reasearch is to compare evening newscasts of leading czech public television (ČT1) and leading czech commercial television (TV Nova) - I try to find out if the commitment of public service has an influence on the gender aspects of these newscasts.

Musiken & journalistiken : En kvalitativ intervjustudie med GSR-komplementom hur respondenter uppfattar en lokalnyhetssändning som modifierats med enradiojingel / Music & Journalism : A qualitative interview study with GSR-complement abouthow a local radio news cast is perceived with the use of jingles.Svärd Huss, Dexter, Nilsson, Linnéa January 2023 (has links)
The aim of this study is to examine how a young audience perceives a local newschannel’s radio newscast which has been modified with a jingle. The study is of societaland scientific relevance as journalism should communicate truth and relevance in a waythat gives the audience the ability to independently form an opinion about social issues. The study shows how music is used and can be used in a news context and how itaffects the listener's attention and experience of news broadcasts. The essay’s jingle canbe described as a sound logo, a short melody that is used to draw attention to brands. The essay uses the word jingle synonymously with the word sound logo motivated bythe fact that the term jingle is more established among Swedish media consumers. Byinvestigating the issue on an individual level, the objective is to provide a result that cansupport decisions made during the production process within media companies. Makingthe news content more adapted to promote the attention of the listener can conceivablybenefit the individual listener, the media company that produces the news content andgroups in society that currently do not consume news via radio. The findings may alsoopen up further research on news broadcasting in radio. The reasons people avoid newslay the foundation for the subcategories and themes which answers the researchquestion. News avoidance theories contextualize the current media landscape and whatpeople prefer in their media consumption. The study is conducted with a two-partmethod. The results are mainly based on qualitative interviews done in a semistructured form. GSR-equipment has been used as a triangulation tool to increasecredibility and minimize the risk of faulty or distorted results. The GSR-measurementsshowed the physical reactions of the respondents and created possibilities forsupplementary questions based on these. The measurements only showed when a2respondent reacted and not why, therefore the qualitative interviews were still vital toanswer the research question. The results from the qualitative interviews show that alocal news broadcast modified with a news jingle is perceived as clear and partlycredible. But it is not perceived as entertaining. More specifically, the jingle's role forthe format of the broadcast is perceived as distinguishing news items by highlighting thestart and stop which contributes to clarity. The main reason why the news broadcast isperceived as credible is that it sounds similar to what the respondents have previousexperience with. The study cannot prove that the jingle has any function for theentertainment value.

The Effects of Change on Television News: A Comparison of the 10:00 p.m. News of the Dallas-Fort Worth Network AffiliatesSparks, John Henry 08 1900 (has links)
The study determines and evaluates changes in the 10:00 p.m. newscasts of the Dallas-Fort Worth network affiliates following personnel and ownership changes, and a reduction in length of one station's newscast. Scripts and audio recordings of the newscasts were collected during four-week periods before and after the changes. The data were analyzed and supplemented with interviews conducted with the stations' news directors and producers. Conclusions drawn were that ownership changes had more impact on the presentation of the news than on its content, changes in anchormen and producers had more effect on presentation than on content, and a reduction in news time caused changes in the content of a television newscast.

Media a prostor: vliv koloniální minulosti na současné zpravodajství Francie a Británie / Media and Space: Influence of the Colonial Past on Cotemporary Media Coverage of France and BritainBrádková, Hana January 2013 (has links)
This thesis examines the influence of the colonial past on contemporary media coverage of France and Britain. It focuses on selected colonies and the frequency of their references on two websites - Skynews.com and France24.fr. Thus the thesis tries to answer the question whether or not the colonial past is still a strong determinant which governs the media's priorities. Imperial history has always been very vivid in these countries, where vast colonial land was possessed. Consequently they must now deal with the impact of their incursions. A strong relationship with former colonies exists and still be seen through the media. In addition, the fact that news media still prefers those states to the information about different former colonies, proves the existence of very strong bonds after the end of decolonial processes. The thesis is divided into two main sections. The first section considers the theoretical frame of analyzed notions (e.g. the geography of communication, colonialism or postcolonialism etc.), colonial history and pursuits the basic facts from media studies. Subsequently, the second section focuses on research results, whereby the principal aim is to confirm the assumption that British and French media prefers to inform more about their own former colonies than colonies of the second great...
