Special attention is paid on describing the Jizera Mountains that play a pivotal role in his creation. The first chapter formulates the subject matter and establishes the goals of the thesis. The second chapter takes a brief look at the Leutelt's life and his writing. The third chapter covers introduction of specific works from three main areas of his art, which were fictional prose, legends and natural works. The final chapter summarizes the results and insights of the thesis.

My diploma thesis aims to assess the planned amendment to the law on local fees and show the changes that have to occur. The planned amendment changes slightly rights and responsibilities of the municipality in the implementation of local taxes. In my diploma thesis we deal in detail with two kinds of charges - local fee for spa or recreational stays and a local charge of accommodation capacity. Rating of planned amendment preceded by analysis of the municipalities that collect those fees. I am focusing on the revenue side of their budgets. The first two chapters are theoretical. I generally describe how the law in Czech Republic influences the structure of public administration and how it prepares the budget of the municipalities. They are characterized by certain local fees and their legislative framework. The practical part is devoted to analysis of two local taxes in 10 selected municipalities and their final share in nationwide revenue from local taxes. The final part evaluates the planned amendment, indicates and shows possible problems that could occur in the future.

The thesis focuses on the current situation of legal regulation of small trades in the Czech Republic, in particular on the impacts following the so far latest of the more complex amendments of the trade law, implemented by the Act no. 130/2008 Coll. The sense of this amendment was to simplify the starting of trade activities and in maximal degree ease the bureacratic burden of businessmen in their contacts with Trade Licencing Offices. The most important changes brought by this amendment are described in the succession and context of the Trades Licencing Act content as a whole. The thesis deals with the historical evolution of the trade law,it also defines the basic concepts and institutes of trade activities, as subjects of trade law, trade licence, the Trades Register, Trade Licence Offices etc. The last part of the thesis delivers the results of a survey carried out among the traders and Trade Licence Offices.

The topic of this diploma thesis is to analyze the development of the VAT legislation in the Czech Republic in the years 2004 -- 2012 assessing the impact of changes in the legislation on practice. The diploma thesis is divided into four parts. The first part deals with theoretical background of the current VAT tax theory. The following part focuses on harmonization of VAT within the EU, and this part also includes insight on the Green Paper as the future of VAT setting in the EU. The third part shows the structure of the VAT before and after joining the European Union as well as the most important amendments of the Czech VAT law. The last part is devoted to practical problems associated with the changes of VAT, here is also included a review of all VAT forms. At the very end of the paper the topic of reverse charge in the construction industry is analyzed based on author's own work experience.

This thesis deals with public procurement law in the Czech Republic. It captures the latest trends in public procurement law, together with the amendment to the Public Procurement Act, which entered into force on 1 April 2012. The opening chapter introduces the concepts that are closely related to the issue of public procurement and corruption. There are explained key institutional control mechanisms in the Czech Republic and criminal liability of corruption. The analytical part of this thesis describes the changes, which the amendment brought into the Public Procurement Law. These changes are mainly assessed in terms of impact on the suppression of corruption. This thesis presents and analyzes the arguments of proponents and opponents of the amendment. The analysis is accompanied by a brief look at the development of legislation on public procurement in the European Union in general and in two selected countries of the European Union. The conclusion contains a summary assessment of the issue along with an outlook for a possible further developments in the legal regulation of public procurement. Based on the analysis, the thesis leads to the conclusion that the amendment of public contracts, despite some shortcomings, is leading to a more transparent procurement environment.

One-tier structure of a joint-stock company from the perspective of the prepared amendment to the Business Corporations Act Abstract This thesis analyses internal functioning of one-tier joint-stock companies, particularly from the perspective of the amendment to the Business Corporations Act, which will come into force in the beginning of the following year. First part of thesis offers comparative analysis of worldwide one-tier joint-stock company legislation, especially in American states, and in English and Italian law. The first two legislations of the above represent one-tier system in its traditional form and the development, that this system has undergone. Comparation with Italian legislation serves as an example of a legal system, in which one-tier model, as in Czechia, falls behind other model of governance of a joint-stock companies. Second part concerns the current legislation of a one-tier joint-stock companies in Czech corporate law, with emphasis to ambiguities in interpretation and application, which originate mainly in duality of elected bodies and conciseness of a special regulation, which was replaced by legislator with a reference to two-tier system. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe and prepare the pilot plan for drought and water scarcity for the selected locality, according to the prepared amendment of water law. Recent years have shown that drought will play a significant role in water supply in the future. Therefore, the need for tools to provide procedures and guidelines for individual administrations is more than important. The first part of the diploma thesis deals with issues of drought and water scarcity, climate change and prospects for the future. The next section describes a plan for drought and water scarcity. In the next parts of the diploma thesis, there are procedures that can mitigate or completely avoid the consequences of drought. From this informations, a pilot study of the plan for drought and water scarcity for the town of Počátky is being prepared in the next part.

La presente investigación abarca el campo de la traducción de cómics y novelas gráficas desde un enfoque multimodal. Es usual encontrar investigaciones que analicen los recursos lingüísticos empleados en la traducción de cómics, pero muy pocos se centran en la interdependencia del texto e imagen en la construcción de una identidad. En este caso, se busca identificar las formas de representación y autorrepresentación de la chinidad (chineseness) en las versiones fuente en francés y las versiones meta en español de las novelas gráficas Shenzhen de Guy Delisle y Une vie chinoise de Philippe Otié y Li Kunwu. Esto se dará bajo un análisis de corpus multimodal que permitirá demostrar cómo el texto y la imagen construyen este imaginario y si se mantiene la representación y autorrepresentación en las versiones traducidas, por lo que se toman en cuenta también las estrategias de traducción aplicadas. / The following study focused on the comics and graphic novels translation under a multimodal approach. There is several research that analyze linguistic resources used in comics translation, but only a few focus on the interrelation between text and image when it comes to the construction of an identity. This study will help to identify in which ways the representation and self-representation of Chineseness is presented in the source version in French and target version in Spanish of both graphic novels: Shenzhen by Guy Delisle and Une vie chinoise by Philippe Otié and Li Kunwu. A multimodal corpus analysis will be applied to demonstrate how text and image build this imaginary. Furthermore, identifying the translation strategies applied in the Spanish version will allow us to recognize if this representation and self-representation is maintained in the translations. / Trabajo de investigación

The output of my studio thesis – redesign of a book called Zůstaňte s námi by Marek Šindelka, follows to the theoretical section titled Collage in contemporary Czech illustration and brings up the know-how of said issue. This fictional redesigned story book by contemporary Czech author deals with the current possibilities of the collage technique, its practical application in the field of graphic design and strives for its reconnection with modern Czech books.

Les romans graphiques contemporains abordent des thématiques intimistes telles que l’autobiographie et le récit de la vie quotidienne. Ils se confrontent aux problématiques de représentation de l’indicible, de l’intériorité qui résiste à la monstration directe face auxquelles ils doivent inventer des modalités de dévoilement qui ne risquent pas de dénaturer l’intime. Pour ce faire, les artistes ont fréquemment recours à des procédés propres à d’autres médias, ou à des références à ceux-ci, qui créent une brèche dans la narration et la figuration, et permettent de laisser entrevoir l’intime. Le théâtre, la photographie, le carnet de voyage et de croquis, la danse et le cinéma font fréquemment irruption au détour d’une case et vont même jusqu’à modifier en profondeur la forme des roman graphiques. Il s’agira, à travers un corpus d’une quarantaine d’œuvres espagnoles contemporaines, intimistes et intermédiales, d’analyser les modalités de représentation de l’intime, de redéfinir ses enjeux au XXIème siècle, et de démontrer que les références intermédiales permettent de réarticuler le texte et l’image dans le roman graphique pour le suggérer. La Critique des dispositifs et l’approche intermédiale constituent des outils pertinents pour examiner les différents niveaux d’imbrication entre les différents médias, et leurs incidences sur la figuration de l’intime. La porosité intermédiale du roman graphique interroge également son statut médiatique et sa place dans le panorama éditorial et culturel contemporain. Ses rapports avec la bande dessinée et le roman s’avèrent en effet ambigus, puisqu’ils oscillent entre rapprochement et différenciation, tantôt affirmant, tantôt remettant en question l’indépendance médiatique du roman graphique. Il s’agira donc de déterminer, au terme de ce travail, si ce dernier s’est établi en tant que série culturelle séparée de la bande dessinée, ou s’il s’inscrit encore dans une phase d’émergence. / Contemporary graphic novels address intimate themes such as autobiography and everyday life. They try to represent the unspeakable, the interiority that resists direct figuration, and they have to create modalities of disclosure that do not imply the distortion of intimacy. To do so, graphic novel artists often resort to strategies used by other media. They can also refer to them in order to cause a breach in the narrative and the figuration through which the reader can catch a glimpse of intimacy. Theater, photography, sketches or travelbooks, dance or cinema often break into the panel. They can even deeply modify the form of graphic novels. Analysing nearly forty intimate and intermedial contemporary Spanish graphic novels, this thesis studies the modalities of representation of intimacy. Moreover, it aims at defining its challenges in the 21st century. It also shows that intermedial references allow the artist to articulate the text and the image in a different way to suggest intimacy. Apparatus and intermediality theories turn out to be relevant tools to examine interconnection levels between different media, as well as their impact on the figuration of intimacy. The intermedial porosity of the graphic novel also questions its media status and its position in the contemporary editorial and cultural context. Its relations with the comic and the novel are ambiguous, since they oscillate between distancing and approaching. Moreover, on the one hand, they corroborate the mediatic independence of the graphic novel, while, on the other hand, they invalidate it. This thesis aims at finding out if the contemporary Spanish graphic novel is already established as a cultural series differentiated from the comic, or if it is still in an emerging stage. / Las novelas gráficas contemporáneas tratan temáticas intimistas, por ejemplo la autobiografía o el relato del día a día. Plantean cómo representar lo indecible, la interioridad que resiste a la figuración directa, y tienen que inventar modalidades de desvelamiento que no impliquen la desvirtuación de lo íntimo. Entonces, los artistas recurren con frecuencia a estrategias propias de otros medios, o se refieren a ellos para crear brechas en la narración y en la imagen a través de las cuáles lo íntimo se deja entrever. El teatro, la fotografía, el libro de bocetos y de viaje, la danza o el cine irrumpen a menudo en las viñetas, y hasta pueden modificar en profundidad la forma de las novelas gráficas. Este trabajo observa, en unas cuarenta obras españolas contemporáneas, intimistas e intermédiales, las modalidades de representación de lo íntimo, y define sus retos en el siglo XXI. Demuestra también que las referencias intermediales permiten articular de una manera distinta el texto y la imagen en la novela gráfica para sugerirlo. La Crítica de los dispositivos y las teorías intermediales resultan ser herramientas pertinentes para examinar los niveles de interconexión entre los distintos medios, y sus incidencias en la figuración de lo íntimo. La porosidad intermedial de la novela gráfica también pone en tela de juicio su estatuto mediático y su ubicación en el panorama editorial y cultural contemporáneo. Sus relaciones con el cómic y la novela son ambiguas, puesto que oscilan entre distanciamiento y acercamiento, y que, por un lado, corroboran la independencia mediática de la novela gráfica, y, por otro lado, la invalidan. Esta tesis intenta averiguar si la novela gráfica española contemporánea ya está asentada como serie cultural diferenciada del cómic, o si sigue involucrada en una fase de emergencia.
