As dynamic web applications are becoming widespread nearly in every area, ASP.NET is one of the popular development languages in this domain. The errors in these web applications can reduce the credibility of the site and cause possible loss of a number of clients. Therefore, testing these applications becomes significant. We present an automated tool to test ASP.NET web applications against execution errors and HTML errors that cause displaying inaccurate and incomplete information. Our tool, called Mamoste, adapts concolic testing technique which interleaves concrete and symbolic executions to generate test inputs dynamically. Mamoste also considers page events as inputs which cannot be handled with concolic testing. We have performed experiments on a subset of an heavily used ASP.NET application of a government office. We have found 366 HTML errors and a faulty component which is used almost every ASP.NET page in this application. In addition, Mamoste discovered that a common user control is misused in several generated pages.

This study explores the differences in attitude held by newspaper photographers and designers concerning the acceptability of digitally altering front-page photographs. It takes its findings from a summer 2006 survey that asked these two newsroom groups to rate their acceptance of certain common techniques used to change photographs from their original forms. Their answers revealed that designers are generally more accepting of altered photographs than their photographer colleagues. Also, photographers are more likely to find acceptable those photographs altered for technical reasons than for aesthetic ones. Least acceptable to photographers, this study finds, are alterations that affect a photograph's content. / Department of Journalism

The aim of this essay was to examine whether 10 Swedish newspapers editorial pages and their leader writers changed their view on Mikhail Gorbachev before, during and after the August Coup in 1991. Moreover, the aim was also to see if the editorial pages used the same sources when they wrote about Gorbachev. In this essay four main questions were asked: - How is Gorbachev described before the August Coup? - How is Gorbachev described during the August Coup? - How is Gorbachev described after the August Coup? - What sources did the editorial pages use when they wrote about Gorbachev? Ten newspapers and their editorial pages from the period of 1-31 August and 1-6 September, as well as 10-31 December 1991 and 1 January 1992 were examined. It was discovered that most of the editorial pages changed their view from being negative in August to being more positive in December. As a conclusion it can be stated that the examined editorial pages did not write much about Gorbachev in the beginning of August and if they did mention him it was in a negative tone. One of the reasons for the lack of mentioning during the August Coup could be that the leader writers were not sure whether Gorbachev would return back to power. In December the views about Gorbachev were mostly positive, which could be related to the fact that the Soviet Union was about to become dissolved. Regarding the sources some of the newspapers referred to the same sources without giving clear information about where the source came from. A majority of the editorial pages referred to the meeting between Gorbachev and George Bush, as well as to Gorbachev’s meeting with the Supreme Soviet after the August Coup.

Στην εργασία αυτή αρχικά δίνεται ο ορισμός της έννοιας του e-banking, γίνεται μια σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομη και παρουσιάζεται η τρέχουσα κατάσταση στην Ελλάδα, στην Ευρώπη και στις ΗΠΑ. Αναφέρονται οι υπηρεσίες που προσφέρονται μέσω της Ηλεκτρονικής Τραπεζικής και τα πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα που αυτή προσφέρει τόσο στους πελάτες, όσο και στις τράπεζες. Στη συνέχεια στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο γίνεται λόγος για την ευχρηστία των ιστοσελίδων, τι σημαίνει και πόσο σημαντική είναι για την σχεδίαση αυτών. Παρακάτω, στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο αναφέρονται κάποια κριτήρια για αξιολόγηση ιστοσελίδων και με ποιον τροπο πρέπει αυτές να σχεδιάζονται, βλέποντας τα πράγματα από την πλευρά του χρήστη αλλά και από την πλευρα του προγραμματιστη. Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο δίνονται τα κριτήρια για την αξιολόγηση Τραπεζικών Ιστοσελίδων και σύμφωνα με αυτά τα κριτήρια αξιολογούνται κάποιες απο τις σημαντικότερες Τραπεζικές ιστοσελίδες. Τέλος παρουσιάζεται ένα ερωτηματολόγιο για να δούμε την ικανοποίηση των πελατών από τις υπηρεσίες που προσφέρει το E-Banking. / In this work is initially given the definition of significance of e-banking, there is a short historical retrospection and is presented the running situation in Greece, in Europe and in the USA. The services that are offered via Electronic Banking are reported and also the advantages and disadvantages that this offers in the customers and in the banks. In the second chapter there are reasons for the web pages' usability, what means and how important is for the designing of those. Below, in the third chapter are reported certain criteria for evaluation of web pages and in what way should these be drawn, seeing the things from the side of user but also from the side of programmer.In the fourth chapter are given the criteria for the evaluation of Banking Web pages and according to these criteria are evaluated the most important Banking web pages. Finally is presented a questionnaire in order to see the customers' satisfaction from the services that the E-banking offers.

Ele é a resposta para muitas perguntas que ainda pairam sobre o assunto web. Pode ser considerado um grande colaborador, desde que seja convidado para participar do desenvolvimento e do crescimento desta nova área. Afinal, a web, a internet e os sites, foram e são projetados para ele. Deixe-se então que os mesmos apontem seus modelos mentais de como deve funcionar esse setor informático, através da organização das informações, facilitando a comunicação entre ele e a máquina. Fixando-se no usuário, a pesquisa tece considerações e aponta a técnica de Card Sorting como uma das que pode auxiliar na busca pelos modelos mentais dos usuários, reorganizando informações e criando novas taxonomias de forma que lhe façam mais sentido. Considerando a home page a página inicial do sites e o primeiro contato dos usuários com os mesmos e com o mundo da internet, utilizou-a como foco da pesquisa, enquanto interface gráfica. / The internet, through the web, has gained a great number of users which leads us to consider how the usability and the ergonomic issues have been worked on this field. In Brazil, the number of studies released as results ofr researches is still small concerning the usability of human-computer interaction, in which projectors and information systems developers do not use the ergonomic parameters for the evaluation of interfaces usability projects and tests. Worst than not considering these questions is letting aside one of the most important factors in this process: the user. He has to tbe considered. he is the answer to many questions that follow this subject. He can be taken as a great collaborator, as soon as he is invited to participate in the development and growing of this area. After all, the internet, the web and the sites were and still are designed for the user. One must let the user point out his mental models of how this information field must work, through the information organization, allowing the communication between him and the machine. Based on the user, the research takes the Card Sorting technique as a tool in the search for the users' first contact with the internet world, it was used as the core in the research, as a graphic interface.

This thesis deals with the state of the web analytics in the marketing research of an academic institution. The theoretical part summarises the state of the (online) marketing in marketing activities of the academic institution and substantiates the importance of the analysis of the attendance of academic institution's web pages. It also submits basic conclusions for choosing the suitable analytic tool. In the applicative part the thesis analyses the traffic of web pages of Faculty of Management in 2010 and suggests actions leading to the higher satisfaction of web pages visitors and fulfilment of web conversion goals.

Diploma thesis deals with the management of information in companies, especially the use of audiovisual content in the online environment. The theoretical basis of the work offers insight into the problems of communication through company websites, definitions of terms needed for subsequent research investigation in the empirical part. It provides quantitative and qualitative findings from the Czech export companies and their access to audiovisual content in the communication with stakeholders.

The diploma thesis deals with meteorology of project management and discipline application in the environment of the company, which is Panthers Otrokovice floorball club. The aim of this work is to evaluate the current state of the club's website, to analyze weaknesses and weaknesses. Based on these analyzes and requirements, new websites will be created. The final part of the diploma thesis will be devoted to the benefits of these plans.
