The issue addressed in this article is how a feminist case study would look like. This includes that the one who does the research, the purpose of the study, the content of the study and to whom the case study contributes should have feminist perspectives in order to be a feminist study. The case studies mapped in this article are limited to case studies about leadership, education and organizations. By analysing 20 different case studies with feminist point of views, I concluded that feminist case studies often includes gender inequality issues like acceptation of gender inequalities or gender employment discrimination but some of them cover how feminism ideology in organizations operate.

Contemporary international political theory and global environmental politics : bridging artificial divides?

This thesis studies the intersection between contemporary international political theory and global environmental politics. It asks whether concern for global environmental degradation requires a rethinking of the assumptions that underlie international political theory as a field of study within the discipline of International Relations. Answering this question, the thesis introduces three ‗images‘ of international political theory: the liberal cosmopolitan, the critical-theoretical, and the anti-foundationalist. It investigates the contributions of these three images of international political theory to global environmental politics. Assessing, through the three images, the status of contemporary international political theory in light of environmental concerns, the thesis suggests that while international political theory offers many important insights into discussions of global environmental politics it also appears significantly limited when dealing with environmental concerns. Key among its limitations is the human-centred framework and mission of contemporary international political theory that an encounter with environmental concerns helps expose. The thesis argues that international political theory, both to be true to its purpose – that is, the extension of moral and political inclusion in world politics – and to maintain its relevance in the contemporary world, must seek a more thorough engagement with environmental concerns. The thesis contends that a fundamental rethinking of the assumptions that underlie contemporary international political theory forms an important – and necessary – part of this engagement.

Perspectives of Mental Health Treatment

This study looks at the perceptions of mental health treatment that the general public may have. This study consisted of a sample size of 106 respondents to a survey that was placed on social media web sites. The positivist paradigm was used to assess the general public’s perceptions about mental health treatment and mentally ill persons. Descriptive analyses were used to discover the relationship of possible negative perceptions toward mental health treatment the general public may have on a mentally ill person. Findings of the survey showed no significant relationships of negative public perceptions that would adversely affect a mentally ill person from seeking mental health treatment.

Changing the Role of Appraisal and Interpersonal Factors in Guilt Induction: Time, Perspective, and Responsibility

Appraisal theories of emotion assert that guilt arises from the evaluations one ill makes about one's behavior. Perpetrators experience guilt when they view themselves as responsible for harm caused to their victims. Interpersonal theories of emotion hold that guilt is a function of relational factors, including the need to repair relationships. Theorists argue that guilty feelings often arise in spite of appraisals, and that perpetrators feel guilty because of a need to communicate reconciliatory messages to their victims. These two views of guilt are generally seen as mutually exclusive. This study proposed integrating both views of guilt into a single, interactive theory of guilt that includes both appraisals and interpersonal concerns and that asserts that guilt varies as a function of the appraisals one makes about one's own and others' behavior, the nature of the relationship between perpetrators and victims, the perspective from which one views events, and the passage of time. The main question asked was: when taking into account these factors, is guilt better accounted for by an appraisal, interpersonal , or the newly proposed integrative view of guilt? One-hundred forty-seven male and 168 female university students were presented with scenarios depicting the interaction of two people who were friends or enemies and were directed to adopt the perspective of perpetrators, victims, or were not given instructions to adopt a perspective. In each scenario, a perpetrator acted to inflict harm that was either unintentional or angrily intended. Participants then rated perpetrators' responsibility appraisals, emotional responses, and forgiveness needs. Additionally, participants were asked to rate how responsible perpetrators believed their victims believed them to be. Correlational analyses and AN OVA were used to test the effects of the factors in the proposed model on ratings of guilt. Although partial support was found for both the appraisal view and the interpersonal view of guilt, results provided the strongest support for the interactive view of guilt. Discussion focused on the role of appraisals, relational factors, perspective, and time in guilty feelings and the implications of these findings for further research.

<p>Empati kan beskrivas som en förmåga att veta vad en person känner och tänker. Denna studies huvudsyfte var att översätta C. Daniel Bat-sons empatiskala till svenska. Syftet var även att testa om det fanns skillnader vid perspektivtagande samt skillnader i empati när den and-re är snäll jämfört med elak. Deltagarna var 111 gymnasiestudenter som fick inta ett perspektiv, objektivt eller med inlevelse, och läsa en historia. Resultatet visade att det inte fanns könsskillnad, men det fanns interaktion mellan historia och läsarperspektiv; skillnaden mellan perspektiven fanns när personen var snäll. Det fanns också skillnad i empati beroende vilken historia deltagarna hade läst. Det var lättare att känna empati för en snäll person än för en person som var elak.</p>

This research project adopts three entrepreneurial perspectives with three entrepreneur types. <p>The purpose of this essay has been to seek understanding of how young people in high school and adult education experience the use of educational media tools in teaching. Examples of questions submitted material has been: What are the positive and negative experiences of ICT in the classroom?</p><p>The essay is of a qualitative nature, in which five students were interviewed about their experiences of ICT in the school environment. The result is analyzed from a sociocultural perspective and from an inward-student perspective.</p><p>The results showed that students felt that it was difficult to absorb many of the ICT facilities as sources of knowledge in the school environment. Due to lack of quality in teaching material and difficulties of the pupils to sort out the important information of the injected.</p>

Exploring Science Curriculum Emphases in Relation to the Alberta Physics Program-of-Study

Using Roberts’ seven science curriculum emphases as a framework, an investigation into Alberta’s physics program-of-study revealed pre-service, novice, and experienced teachers tended to focus on the emphasis Structure of Science. Other aspects of the program-of-study that was a high priority for teachers were the ideas of the holistic views of physics and student engagement which both fell beyond Roberts’ framework. Comparing the focus of the teacher participants to the curriculum leader, interpreted by the researcher to be a representative of the Curriculum Branch of Alberta Education, it was noted that the areas of weak overlap between the teacher participants and the curriculum leader were the ideas of Structure of Science and student engagement. However, the curriculum leader tended to focus more on Self as Explainer and Science, Technology, and Decision.

Perspective Projection Invariants

An important part of stereo vision consists of finding and matching points in two images which correspond to the same physical element in the scene. We show that zeros of curvature of curves are perspective projection invariants and can therefore be used to find corresponding points. They can be used to help solve the registration problem (Longuet-Higgins, 1982) and to obtain the correct depth when a curve enters the forbidden zone (Krol and van de Grind, 1982). They are also relevant to theories for representing image curves. We consider the stability of these zeros of curvature.
