Barva "černá" ve frazémech. Kontrastivní analýza. / The Colour "black" in phrasems. A contrastive analysis.

Lukašiková, Evženie January 2016 (has links)
The following thesis deals with the topic of the contrast of phrasemes with a constituent black in German and Czech. The first, theoretical part of the thesis seeks to outline the basic terms as well as problematic points of the phraseological domain, which are of importance for the practical part. This concerns the phraseological terminology in general as well as the terminology of the contrastive phraseology. The practical part elaborates on the contrast of five phrasemes, picked from the Deutsch- tschechisches Wörterbuch der Phraseologismen und festgeprägten Wendungen (2010). These phrasemes have been looked up in DeReKo and InterCorp and subsequently analysed from the morpho-syntactic and semantic point of view. The result of this analysis should provide the answer to the question of whether the translation variants in the dictionary correspond with the actual written language usage or whether there is a discrepancy between those two areas.

Tierbezeichnungen in der deutschen und tschechischen Phraseologie. Eine kontrastive Analyse. / Animals in German and Czech phraseology. A comparative analysis.

HOVORKOVÁ, Pavla January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with a contrastive analysis of German phraseological units containing an animal and their Czech equivalents. In the theoretical part, we will explain the basic concepts of phraseology and focus on the contrastive phraseology. The core of the thesis is formed by analysis of German proverbs and other verbal phraseological units and finding their Czech equivalents. The selected phraseological units are accompanied by examples. The aim of the thesis is to divide the phraseological units into groups according to the degree of equivalence.

Anthroponyms in Spanish: a contrastive analysis of their use.

PISOS PRADO, Aitor January 2019 (has links)
The present work aims to analyze the potential value of anthroponyms within the didac-tics of Spanish as a Foreign Language. With that purpose, theoretical basis concerning anthroponyms is provided in favor of a solid formal background that will support the following didactic proposal. Likewise, the actual presence of anthroponyms in the Curricular Plan of the Instituto Cervantes is analyzed, as well as other ways of use that it doesn't consider, but that will also inspire the activities presented at the end of this work. We will examine with more depth those anthroponyms integrated in phraseological units (Como Pedro por su casa; En tiempos de Maricasta?a; etc) for what a classification of the different existing phraseological units will be described. This classification will lead to the design of a compendium of phraseological units with these characteristics that will serve as a reference for the didactic proposal.

Traduction et analogie dans le champ franco-roumain / Translation and analogy in the franco-romanian Field

Coste Ferraiuolo, Mirela 03 July 2018 (has links)
Our research entitled Translation and Analogy in the Franco-Romanian Field is globally carried out within the framework of translation studies, considered as an application area of contemporary linguistic and psychological theories operating with the concepts of analogy, conceptualization and motivation (P Monneret, (2004), D. Hofstadter, E. Sander, (2013).The thesis consists of four parts : the first two, Translation and Analogy, represent a theoretical approach aiming to offer a new perspective on translational thinking from an interdisciplinary point of view, including analogical linguistics, philosophy and cognitive psychology, while the last two, Analogical and Phraseological Aspects in Translation and Translator Experience, attempt to prove the active involvement of the studied concepts in the translational process as well as to provide originality to this research. Thus, the relevance of the concept of analogy as "conceptualization of a state of facts" (J. - R. Ladmiral, (2016)) is examined in relation to translation as praxis, in order to account for the well-known phenomena of transposition or of equivalence to which the translator is frequently confronted, especially in the case of literary texts. We will therefore ask the question of the restitution, during the translation, of the analogical structures present in the text to be translated, through a process of conceptual transfer or semantic innovation. The corpus of research consists of the novel Cum mi-am petrecut vacanţa de vară (How I spent my summer holidays), written by the Romanian writer TO Bobe, whose first translation in French has many difficulties concerning the transposition of fixed expressions, puns, paroimia, amalgams, culturemes defined as "units carrying cultural information" (G. Lungu - Badea, (2007)). Our translation is not an exhaustive version, but more of a challenge and a daring exercise of mastering the translative techniques and it offers food for thought on the difficulties encountered and the strategies adopted. This thesis will also be an opportunity to highlight some aspects of the Romanian ethnocultural space, as well as Romanian contemporary literature and to enable its accessibility to the French-speaking reader.

This research was carried out to select and analyze the proverbs in Portuguese related to the seven capital vices, presented in six books on the subject of proverbs. The proverbs were put into context by means of computer textual database research. A proverb is a phraseologic unit that expresses popular wisdom and represents the traditions of a people, while the sin, is a consequence of social and religious conventions. We believe that knowing this kind of linguistic construction, enable us to appraise the values that the Brazilian society coveys to the most important deviations from the Church doctrine. In orde to approach the characteristics of the proverbs and the theme of the sin, we proceded to: 1) make a list of proverbs in Brazilian Portuguese, related to the chosen theme; 2) confirm the presence of these proverbs in corpora to verify their frequency in the language and 3) analyse, by means of textual database research, the values assigned to the seven capital vices by the Brazilian society. Moreover, we consulted primary research sources to verify the listed proverbs: two computer textual database, the web and the corpus from the Laboratório Lingüístico' UNESP/Araraquara. Thus, apart from venturing in a proposition to define proverb, we also enumerated which of them, related to the seven capital vices, are frequently used. Finally, we verified the usage and the social value of these proverbs by means of context.

Formelhaftigkeit, ein Wesenszug des Plattdeutschen

Peters, Friedrich Ernst January 2011 (has links)

Air traffic control radiotelephony safety: Investigating the English second language users’ perspective

Mohd, Noorlinah G. 10 1900 (has links)
Radiotelephony between air traffic controllers and pilots utilises standard phraseology as the medium of communications. Standard phraseology employs specific structure, terminology and pronunciation to ensure effectiveness and accuracy. On occasions when standard phraseology is found insufficient, plain language is used to efficiently relay vital information. By default, English is the designated language of communication between controllers and pilots of international flights. Deviations from the usage of standard phraseology and lack of language proficiency had been identified as one of the causal factors in safety occurrences. Language deficiencies, specifically of the non-native speakers of the English language, had raised much concern but there is limited information in the area. This research attempted to fill a small segment of this knowledge gap. It was focussed on the usage of standard phraseology and English language in an air traffic control environment involving English Second Language users. Audio data was sourced from routine radiotelephony recordings of ‘live’ air traffic control facilities in Malaysia to capture realistic communications between controllers and pilots in the Terminal Approach Radar, Area Radar and Aerodrome Control environments. A detailed cross sectional investigation of the radiotelephony characteristics, deficiencies and errors of transmitted messages revealed the radiotelephony performances of controllers and pilots in the environments. The recurrence of deviations from standards and occurrence of errors implied the likelihood of such deficiencies taking place. Demographic groups’ descriptions complemented the radiotelephony analyses as background information on language related training. The results were comparative to other similar studies and offered new information on English Second Language speakers in the Air Traffic Control environment.

The phraseology units represent a chain of specialized characters, formed by variable and invariable elements within a field of knowledge, according to their properties of frequency and fixation. This study is based upon the approach of Gouadec (1994), which establishes the differences between the phraseology units conditional to their inclusion in terminological matrix or not. The distribution and behavior of the phraseology units, in commercial contracts collected in Brazilian companies, are taken into account, based upon the studies of Bhatia (1993), referring to the categorization of genres in legal settings. It is observed that phraseology in contract genre constitutes a proper categorization, which varies in accordance with the structural functions of the contract. This dissertation also suggests some further research to be carried out in the field of Terminology.
