The mistakes and failures on the roof are noticed during inspection of the construction, many of the commentaries are recurring. A contractor should only need to get a commentary once and then learn from the mistake. It has in this study been brought to light that the solution is not to tell the contractors to "stop slattern", it is more complicated than that. Today, the biggest problems are found in leadership, communication, feedback of experience and that the entrepreneurs take too little responsibility. To minimize the amount of commentaries all contractors need to work with a clearer leadership where the leader is both respected and appreciated. The leader must in an effective way be able to convey all the information to all employees. It is also needed that the information flows smoothly through the whole project. It should be easy for the people working out in the field to reach the latest information. Therefore it’s also important that the entire documentary is good enough when the project begins; there should be no possibilities for misunderstanding. It is also needed that all the entrepreneurs work with feedback of experience in the company. If a mistake or failure is noticed this needs to be fed back in the organization and the knowledge of how the work should be done correctly must be distributed to all the employees. If inspections are done continuous during the construction all failures and mistakes will be noticed earlier and greater damage is prevented. However this requires that the contractors correct the mistakes directly. The challenge with minimizing the amount of building damage is to create a good work environment with a good leadership and a good communication. / Vid besiktning av plåttaksentreprenader påtalas brister och fel, många av besiktningsanmärkningarna är återkommande. En entreprenör borde bara behöva få en anmärkning en gång för att sedan lära sig av misstaget. I denna studie har det framkommit att lösningen på problemet inte ligger i att säga "sluta slarva", det är mer komplicerat än så. De stora bristerna finns idag i ledarskap, kommunikation, återföring av erfarenheter och att entreprenörerna tar ett för litet ansvar. För att antalet besiktningsanmärkningar ska minska måste alla takentreprenörer arbeta med ett tydligare ledarskap där ledaren är respekterad och uppskattad. Ledaren måste på ett effektivt sätt kunna förmedla ut den senaste informationen till alla ute i produktion. Det hela leds då ofelbart in på kommunikation. För att antalet anmärkningar ska minska måste också all information enkelt flyta genom hela kedjan. Det ska vara enkelt för personalen ute på arbetsplatsen att få tag i den senaste informationen. Det gör även att det är viktigt att det från början finns en ordentlig dokumentation om hur taket ska byggas, inga oklarheter ska finnas kvar när bygget startar. För att undvika att ett fel återuppkommer gång på gång måste alla takentreprenörer arbeta med återföring av erfarenheter i verksamheten. När ett fel eller en brist uppstår bör det återkopplas i organisationen och kunskapen om hur det egentligen ska vara måste föras ut till alla medarbetare. Om det i projekten arbetas med kontinuerliga kontroller kommer eventuella fel och brister att upptäckas i ett tidigare skede, vilket kan motverka att större skador uppkommer, något som dock kräver att entreprenörerna åtgärdar bristerna på en gång. Generellt ligger utmaningen för takbranschen i att skapa ett bra arbetsklimat med ett bra ledarskap och en god kommunikation. Detta är fördjupningsdelen i ett arbete som också innefattar projektering och dimensionering av ett småhus.

Sandviken är beläget invid Mälaren, ungefär en mil nordväst om Södertälje. Av ortens en gång starka band till vattnet finns idag bara en liten del i varvsverksamheten kvar. Nu ligger expansion för dörren och bäst lämpad gör den sig där den håller bebyggelsen samlad kring samhällets nav, ångbåtsbryggan. I dagsläget angörs bryggan av ångbåt om sommaren och platsen invid av helgbuss. Med expansionen kommer vattenvägen även en reguljärlinje till Södertälje (pendelbåt), samt ett medborgarhus. Arbetet visar förslag till det sistnämnda med ytterligare funktioner som ämnar stärka platsens identitet och band till vattnet. / Sandviken is a small community by the lake Mälaren, a one hour drive from Stockholm. Historically, the community has had strong ties to the water, primarily through a still present wharf operation, albeit in modern times at a smaller scale, and its' former boat building practice. Plans of expansion now lie before the area, and a space shared by the community is needed for both old and new citizens to gather at and around. The small pier in the center of Sandviken acts as the starting point for this new space, as it also serves and enables a future expansion of commuter boats to Södertälje. The + stands for an additional function – a bathhouse – with the aim to further strengthen the bond to the water.

Studien har genomförts på ett antal stålplåtar från olika kulturhistoriska byggnader. När kulturhistoriskt värdefulla byggnader ska renoveras måste detta göras med så god kunskap som möjligt om byggnadens olika delar och de värden dessa representerar. Det problem som studien har ämnat att lösa har varit en bristande kunskap om historiska stålplåtar. Studien har därför utförts för att bidra med kunskap som kan användas när gamla byggnader ska renoveras.För att uppnå syftet att bidra med kunskap som kan vägleda renovering av kulturhistoriska byggnader har studiens mål varit att undersöka hur de olika plåtarna tillverkats och vilka resultat de processerna har fått.Detta har genomförts genom att utföra en metallografi på samtliga prover för att undersöka deras mikrostrukturer och få en förståelse för materialen. Även en kemisk analys av materialens innehåll har gjorts genom en optisk emissions spektroskopi.De resultat som hämtades från plåtarna visade hur stor skillnad det var mellan olika tillverkningsmetoder och deras konsekvenser. Genom att ha sett den mångfald av egenskaper som fanns bland plåtarna har slutsatserna dragits att det finns ett värde i att respektera de äldre materialen.Genom att vara medveten om att det kan finnas stora skillnader i materialen kan valet av plåt göras på ett bättre sätt. Under studiens gång blev det även uppenbart hur mycket historia som fanns lagrad i de gamla plåtarna som är viktig att ta vara på. / The study has been conducted on a number of steel plates from different buildings of cultural and historical value. When old, cultural buildings are to be renovated, it must be done with as much knowledge as possible about the different parts of the building and the values that they represent. The problem that the study has aimed to solve has been an inadequate level of knowledge in regards to historical steel plates. Because of this, the study has been conducted to contribute with knowledge that could be used when old buildings are to be renovated.To achieve the purpose of contributing knowledge to guide renovations of culturally and historically valuable buildings, the goal of the study has been to analyze how the different plates have been made and what the results of those processes were.This has been carried out by conducting a metallography on all of the samples to analyze their microstructures and to gain an understanding of the materials. A chemical analysis has also been conducted on the contents of the materials by using optical emission spectroscopy.The results showed how big of a difference there was between different manufacturing methods and their consequences. By discovering the diversity of the properties of the plates the conclusion has been drawn that there is value in respecting the values of the older materials.By being conscious of how large the difference is between different types of steel sheets, better decisions can be made during choice of steel sheet, and it is more obvious how much history that is stored within the old plates.
