Elektrisch‐thermisches Betriebs‐ und Langzeitverhalten hochstromtragfähiger Kontaktelemente

Gatzsche, Michael 12 January 2017 (has links)
Allerdings führte bei einer Betriebstemperatur von 105 °C ein thermisch instabiles Schmierfett zum vorzeitigen elektrischen Ausfall eines Teils der Steckverbinder.:Einleitung Hochstrom-Kontaktsysteme – Stand der Technik Theorie der Kontakte bei hoher Strombelastung Stationäres elektrisch-thermisches Betriebsverhalten Transientes elektrisch-thermisches Betriebsverhalten Langzeitverhalten Zusammenfassung Ausblick / Switchgear and devices for the power grid use high-power connectors if moving parts have to be contacted or equipment shall be easily mountable and dismountable. The electrical connection of the conductors is often realized by spring-loaded contact elements. As part of the main circuit, contact elements must carry the full operating current in the kiloampere-range for the entire service life of the device. In case of a fault, the short-circuit current, which is one order of magnitude larger, has to be carried for up to several seconds. In this thesis, calculation models for the inner temperature rise of high-power contact systems in steady-state continuous operation, as well as for the transient short-circuit load case were developed. Electrical and mechanical long-term performance in the temperature range from 105 to 180 °C was experimentally investigated with current carrying, grease-lubricated model connectors which were regularly unplugged and replugged. Modelling, calculations and experiments were exemplarily carried out with Multilam contact elements. Conductors and contact element consisted of silver-plated copper. The analytical voltage-temperature relation was used to calculate the steady-state performance; calculations were verified with a temperature-rise test. The temperature difference from contact element to conductors is very small (≤ 3 K) for standard applications like switchgear. Thus, it is sufficient to use the conductor temperature as a criterion for the design of the continuous ampacity of high-power contact systems. At short-time load, a fast spatially inhomogeneous temperature rise was numerically calculated. Conductor and contact element continuously heat up; due to the smaller current carrying cross section, median final temperature rise in the contact element is one order of magnitude larger than in the conductors. Because of their negligible thermal capacity, contacts perform 100 Hz temperature cycles at 50 Hz AC load; the maximum contact temperatures may be significantly higher than the median temperature of the contact elements. In the long-term test, after 16 000 h operating time at 180 °C and regular plugging operations, contact elements maintained enough joint force to meet the requirements of a new contact system. At 105 °C however, a thermally instable grease led to electrical failure of part of the connectors.:Einleitung Hochstrom-Kontaktsysteme – Stand der Technik Theorie der Kontakte bei hoher Strombelastung Stationäres elektrisch-thermisches Betriebsverhalten Transientes elektrisch-thermisches Betriebsverhalten Langzeitverhalten Zusammenfassung Ausblick

Modeling and Control of a PMSynRel Drive for a Plug-InHybrid Electric Vehicle

Zhao, Shuang January 2011 (has links)
This thesis presents two transient models for a prototype integrated charger for use in a plug-in hybrid-electrical vehicle application. The models can be useful in order to develop control algorithms for the system or to recommend improvements to the machine design. A flux map based method, obtaining input data from simulations using the finite element method (FEM) is used to model the grid synchronization process. The grid side voltage can then be predicted by incorporating spatial flux linkage harmonics. The model is implemented in Matlab/Simulink and compared to stand alone FEM simulations with good agreement. The charging process is modeled using an inductance based model also requiring FEM simulations as input data. Since the flux linkages in the grid and inverter side windings are dependent on each other, the presented transient model is linearized around a specific operating point. This model is also implemented in a Matlab/Simulink environment. Sensorless control of a PMSynRel drive is also studied in this thesis. Focus is put on operating limits due to magnetic saturation when operating at low speeds. The rotating and pulsating voltage vector injection methods for sensorless control are studied in detail. A technique to map the feasible sensorless control region is proposed which utilizes the resulting position error signal rather than data of differential inductances. This technique is implemented experimentally and compared to corresponding FEM simulations with good agreement. The impact of spatial inductance harmonics on the quality of the position estimates is also studied. A method to predict the maximum position estimation error due to the inductance harmonics is proposed based on simplified analytical models. A technique is presented and experimentally verified which can compensate for this effect by injecting a modified rotating voltage carrier. Lastly, the impact of saturation in the rotor structure on the initial magnet polarity detection is investigated. The experimental results, in good agreement with the corresponding FEM simulations, indicate that the impact of saturation in the magnet bridges of rotor is the dominant phenomenon at lower peak current magnitudes. / QC 20110928

Steinbeck-Behrens, Cord 23 June 2015 (has links)

Ethical hacking of a Smart Wi-Fi Plug

Newton Hedelin, Markus, Samuelsson, Marcus January 2022 (has links)
This bachelor’s thesis paper investigates the security of a smart Wi-Fi plug a power outlet remotely controlled by a smart phone, the Deltaco Smart Home SH-P01. In order to raise the security standards of the numerous new digital products produced every year, the possible security flaws of these devices must be exposed and made official to the general public. Especially since these flaws could be exploited by an adversary. By the means of ethical hacking, this paper aims to contribute with a security assessment of a device with components from a globally leading actor, Tuya. This is done by picking up where a previous study of the same device left off; penetration testing of the smart plug’s Android mobile application and its related cloud service, following the guidelines based on years of previous tests in the field. The final security assessment is that Tuya has made a real effort to securing the smart plug’s systems. The Android app, Tuya Smart, does contain some sensitive information and lacks two-factor authentication, but this did not allow for critical exploits. The cloud is deemed well-protected, and overall, there were no severe security flaws exposed by this investigation. Through more extensive penetration testing and by targeting the device’s firmware, future work could perhaps render an even more substantial assessment.

Anaerobic digestion in continuous stirred tank reactors and plug flow reactors: : Comparison study concerning process performance / Anaerob rötning i kontinuerligt omrörda tankreaktorer och pluggflödesreaktorer: : Jämförelsestudie avseende processprestanda

Kocak, Zeko January 2022 (has links)
The use of municipal waste to produce renewable energy, in the form of biogas, fulfils eight of Sweden's sixteen environmental quality objectives. The most common technology to produce biogas is anaerobic digestion (AD). Two common types of AD processes are continuously stirred reactors (CSTR) and plug flow reactors (PFR). The thesis aims at directly comparing the two reactor configurations using the same substrate mix. For this, two PFRs (PFR-T and PFR-A) and three CSTRs (D1-R, D2-NR and C1-NR) were setup. All reactors were operated at the same organic loading rate (5.2 g VS/L-day), hydraulic retention time (30 days) and operational temperature (52°C). During the project, various parameters were measured to evaluate the reactor performance, such as pH, total gas volume and gas composition, FOS/TAC (organic acids/alkalinity), volatile fatty acids (VFA), ammonium-nitrogen concentration, and solid and volatile solid of digestate.   The study result was divided into two sections. Section 1 summarises the start-up period (42 days), where the CSTRs and the PFRs were operated under non-recirculation mode. The start-up period was done to ensure the stability of the reactors and was concerned with achieving a similar baseline for performance. For the start-up period, the specific methane production between D1-R and D2-NR varied by 2% while the variation between C1-NR and D2-NR was 8%. Likewise, for the ammonia concentration, the difference between D1-R and D2-NR was 2%, while C1-NR differed by 9% from D2-NR. Based on these findings, the decision was taken to exclude reactor C1-NR from the experimental period of the project.  Section 2 compares the PFR and CSTR. One CSTR was operated with 30% recirculation of digest, while the other CSTR was operated in non-recirculation mode. The two PFRs were operated with recirculation of digestate. The experiments showed that the PFRs outperformed both CSTRs regarding the specific methane production. The PFRs produced 395±93 (N)L/kg-VS and 372±42 (N)L/kg-VS. In contrast, the CSTR with recirculation reached 280±10 (N)L/kg-VS and the non-recirculated CSTR produced 250±7 (N)L/kg-VS. The NH4+-N levels for the PFRs and CSTRs showed a 1 g/L difference, with a higher value for the PFRs (2.53±0.39 g/L for PFR-A, and 2.73±0.43 g/L for PFR-T). One of the significant differences between the recirculated and the non-recirculated CSTRs was the VFA concentration. The VFA concentration in the recirculated and non-recirculated reactor was 1.05±0.90 g/L and 0.43±0.25 g/L, respectively. The VFA concentration for the two PFRs was on average 0.28±0.12 g/L and 0.40 ±0.16 g/L. The degree of degradation in the CSTRs was 90-91% compared to 63-65% in the PFRs. The degree of degradation is possibly miscalculated and shows an inconsistency between the reactor performance in terms of specific methane production.

ADVANCED PRIOR MODELS FOR ULTRA SPARSE VIEW TOMOGRAPHY

Maliha Hossain (17014278) 26 September 2023 (has links)
<p dir="ltr">There is a growing need to reconstruct high quality tomographic images from sparse view measurements to accommodate time and space constraints as well as patient well-being in medical CT. Analytical methods perform poorly with sub-Nyquist acquisition rates. In extreme cases with 4 or fewer views, effective reconstruction approaches must be able to incorporate side information to constrain the solution space of an otherwise under-determined problem. This thesis presents two sparse view tomography problems that are solved using techniques that exploit. knowledge of the structural and physical properties of the scanned objects.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr">First, we reconstruct four view CT datasets obtained from an in-situ imaging system used to observe Kolsky bar impact experiments. Test subjects are typically 3D-printed out ofhomogeneous materials into shapes with circular cross sections. Two advanced prior modelsare formulated to incorporate these assumptions in a modular fashion into the iterativeradiographic inversion framework. The first is a Multi-Slice Fusion and the latter is TotalVariation regularization that operates in cylindrical coordinates.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr">In the second problem, artificial neural networks (NN) are used to directly invert a temporal sequence of four radiographic images of discontinuities propagating through an imploding steel shell. The NN is fed the radiographic features that are robust to scatter and is trained using density simulations synthesized as solutions to hydrodynamic equations of state. The proposed reconstruction pipeline learns and enforces physics-based assumptions of hydrodynamics and shock physics to constrain the final reconstruction to a space ofphysically admissible solutions.</p>
