Kommunikasiesteuringe as bron van konflik in die huwelik : 'n pastorale studie / G.G. de WetDe Wet, Gerhardus George January 2005 (has links)
This research is concerned with poor communication as a source of conflict in the marriage,
as seen from a practical-theological viewpoint. Certain questions presented themselves from
within the theme, namely:
What does Scripture teach regarding communication and poor communication in the
marriage?
What influence do interpersonal differences between marriage partners have on
communication and poor communication in the marriage?
How can marriage partners be guided so that poor communication within the marriage
can be dealt with in such a manner as to enrich their marriage?
Poor communication is the most common problem in marriages. Couples view poor
communication as a major source of interpersonal conflict within the marriage.
With the fall of man the communion between God and man, and between husband and wife
was broken. The redemptive work of Jesus Christ made it possible for this communion
between man and God and husband and wife to be restored. Communication can be effective
when founded on the Scripture and conflict can be a relationship builder.
The purpose of this study was to utilize Zerfass model to conduct a study regarding the meta- and
basis-theoretical perspectives on poor communication and to place it in interaction with a
practice-theory for pastoral theology in mind.
Research has indicated that marital couples experience conflict within the marriage as a result
of poor communication. It also has an effect on their relationship with God. The counsellor
must be able to effectively communicate within his own marriage before he can counsel
married couples.
The conclusion of this research is that married couples that experience conflict as a result of
poor communication can be assisted to overcome this problem and experience sound marital
relationship and communication. / Thesis (M.A. (Practical Theology))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2006.

Interprofessional Conflict: A Preventive Health Approach to Ineffective Communication in Nurse-Physician RelationshipsPérez, María Teresa January 2010 (has links)
Thesis advisor: Judith A. Vessey / This undergraduate thesis explores the underlying problem of interprofessional conflict and the resulting poor communication between physicians and nurses. It establishes the importance of understanding and addressing this subject within the health care community on a basis of reported negative outcomes, including compromised patient safety and quality of care. It also proposes a preventive health model as the most effective approach to describing the problem. An exploration of the antecedents to this interprofessional conflict identifies gender identity as having a significant role in setting the stage for the kind of relationships between nurses and physicians that harbor tension. Gender roles are discussed in the context of the developing professional identities of both physicians and nurses. The discussion further identifies how these social and professional distinctions result in the imposition of hierarchical arrangements that give way to oppressive relationships. The analysis proposes a need for dialogue –a form of primary prevention- regarding the oppressive internalized sexism that appears to have resulted from this hierarchical evolution. / Thesis (BS) — Boston College, 2010. / Submitted to: Boston College. Gruppdiskussioner på distans - framgångsrikt eller inte? / Distance group discussions – successful or not?Mårtensson, Fredrik, Nilsson, Linus January 2022 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to examine teachers' and students' distant group discussions within Zoom's function breakout rooms, and how the students' involvement has consequently been affected. The study is based on three semi-structured focus groups made with students and teachers with experience of distant group discussions inside breakout rooms. Based on the empirical material from the focus groups, it is clear that the respondents largely focus on functionality, flexibility as well as social relations and camera usability. Based on the empirical material, it appears that there have been benefits in the form of a simplicity and flexibility for the teacher respondents to design group discussions, as well as the flexibility that has given the students increased freedom. However, it appears from the student respondents that the perception of distancing is based on impaired communication with teachers and students, difficulties in the form of distractions and a deteriorating relationship with their classmates, which consequently has affected students' commitment negatively.
