This diploma thesis deals with teaching English to children with specific learning disabilities and educational problems. The theoretical part describes the most frequent educational problems of children and adolescents. Further attention is paid to the problems of specific learning difficulties, the causes of their origin and their manifestations in teaching English at middle school. Finally, the thesis deals with the methodological principles for foreign language teaching of children with specific learning disabilities. The research part is based on the case studies of children placed in specialized facilities due to their educational problems. I participated in individual assistance to two concrete children and I worked out case studies based on our cooperation. The aim of the empirical part is to choose a suitable individual approach to two concrete children, realize it, and reflect it in depth.

Akademický vývoj studentů se specifickou poruchou učení na ZSF / Academic development of students with learning disability at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences

The topic of this thesis is the academic development of students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, specifically at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. The thesis is mainly concerned with the analysis of individual study programmes and fields in the context of the study specification demands, the results of which will be used in the research of the GA JU project implemented by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Education. The introduction of the theoretical part describes the current state of knowledge about the problems of specific learning disorders. First, the basic concepts and the divisions of learning disorders according to the affected area are defined. Then, the etiology of specific learning disabilities is presented, followed by a chapter focused on symptoms of learning disabilities, diagnosis and reeducation. The next chapter is focused on the adult, his / her development in biological and psychological terms. Diagnostics and re-education in adulthood are also presented in this chapter. In the theoretical part, attention is also paid to the education of individuals with specific learning disabilities in secondary school and university. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to universities in general, then to the University of South Bohemia and the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences itself. The aim of the practical part is to analyze all study programmes that can currently be studied at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in full-time study. Individual subjects taught in the given study programme will be the core of the analysis. The criteria will be pre-defined in order to determine the level of study demands.

The thesis Inclusion of Pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder at Primary School focuses on the inclusion of pupils with autism spectrum disorders and on how to work with them at primary school. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes the inclusion and its legislative framework. This chapter shows an overview of the support and counselling system in school education. The following chapters are devoted to the description of autism, its types and diagnostics of pupils with autistic spectrum disorders. The final theoretical part pays attention to devoted to educational methods and strategies for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders. It describes how to communicate with such pupils and what didactic systems can be used when working with them. The empirical part of the thesis describes the development of application for pupils with autistic spectrum disorder and its verification for the android mobile platform. The author of this thesis has developed the application mentioned above. This chapter describes both the design and the technical development of the application. The application is validated by using the research method of a controlled interview with parents and pupils where the application was tested for two months and these interviews are subsequently evaluated. Využití hiporehabilitace při reedukaci poruch chování dětí a mladistvých / Hippo re-education of behavior disorders of children and teenagers

The present thesis is focused on hippo rehabilitation as a novel technique for re-education of adult and child behavior disorders. The work briefly characterizes issues of adult and child behavior disorders and presents how hippo rehabilitation can be used to positively influence their bad behaviour patterns. The importance of social behavior of horses for re-education of behavior disorders is clarified based on the knowledge of the horse Etology during rehabilitation lessons. In the end of the theoretical part, ?American programme? that use mustang horses for re-socialization of prisoners is described and its parallels are implied to hippo rehabilitation. The practical part of the thesis describes a few chosen hippo rehabilitation centers in the Czech Republic and one center in Germany. Therapeutic approaches to individual client needs are discussed. The positive effect of hippo rehabilitation is documented by three attached case studies describing courses of rehabilitation. In conclusion, the chosen courses of rehabilitation are compared.

The practical part focuses on research which ascertains pubescents´ awareness of the topic and the possible influence and occurrence of the nourishment intake defects in pubescents. The diploma thesis titled The Magazines for Adolescent Girls as a Risk Factor of Negative Body Image and Eating Disorders discusses a possible influence of the girl's magazines on adolescent girls' body satisfaction. The thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on theoretical definition of the main issue and further it presents the results and findings that were the starting point of the overall focus of the thesis. This part is divided into five chapters when each chapter focuses on the theoretical definition of the specific area. These areas are the period of adolescence, self-concept, body image, factors that may influence adolescents' body image and finally girls' magazines which are considered as a risk factor of adolescents' body dissatisfaction due to its contents. The diploma thesis reflects the important findings related to the main issue which are served as the basis for the following practical part. The second, practical part of this diploma thesis, is presented as an empirical investigation focuses on a possible influence of the girl's magazines on adolescent girls' body satisfaction and on the overall body satisfaction with adolescent girls' bodies. Within this empirical investigation are set questions that the investigation tries to answered. The results of the empirical investigation are divided into three parts according to the method that was used in a particular part of investigation. In thesis was used these methods: Silhouette Test, questionnaire and analysis of the text and image content of the most popular girl's magazines in connection with the theoretical focus of the thesis.

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of specific learning disability. In the theoretical part I define the term specific learning disability and I mention the related terms. I deal with the history, types and causes of specific learning disability, further I describe the possibilities of diagnostics and re-education concerning specific learning disability. I also attend to the situation of a pupil in the family and school background. The main attention is especially paid to teaching foreign languages to pupils with specific learning disability. The practical part is based on a questionnaire which was filled in by teachers of basic and high schools. The goal is to find out what kind of experience the teachers have with pupils with specific learning disability and what their approach to them is. The questionnaire survey is worked up and analysed in the practical part.

This thesis deals with teacher´s ingress to pupils with dysorthography in the first grade of primary school. In the theoretical part, the key elements are definition of item specific defect of learning and its ground allocations. As the next I´m working with charakteristic and definiton of ground terms, in that case dysorthography, its occasions and allocution, diagnostic and bases of reeducative care. The practical part consists of pupils with dysorthography. Thanks to contemplation I find out the teacher´s attitude to pupils. Some informations about pupils are rectified thanks to teacher´s question blank. At the end, the findings should map the teacher´s attitude and ingress to pupils with dysorthography during education.

In summary of findings we first address problems of correct and poor posture. We present methods how to easily detect function disorders of locomotive system, their basic characteristics, and how to compensate such disorders, or how to prevent them completely. The research focuses on determination of the most common function disorders in children of young school age. Total of 384 children from 1st and 2nd grades of all elementary schools in Strakonice participated in the survey. The following methods were chosen evalutation of posture according to Jaroš and Lomíček, which disclosed that the most common function disorders apply to lower limbs. Testing according to Matthias showed that 33 % of children suffer from poor posture. The research includes a questionaire, which helped us to find out that poor posture occurs less frequently in children who pursue physical activities.

This graduation thesis deals with the occurrence of the most common functional disorders of the locomotor system in children in 5th grade at elementary schools in the district of Tábor. The research was implement on twenty-two primary schools. In total, 786 children from the 36th grade in the Tábor District were monitored and evaluated. The task of the thesis was the processing of literary research based on the study of Czech and foreign literature. In addition, obtaining the approval of school principals and pupils' parents to conduct research. As part of our research, we used the test method using standardized tests for examination of body posture, according to Matthias and Jaros and Lomicek. Part of the research was also the measurement of the pupils' weight and height and the subsequent calculation of the BMI index. The collected data were processed into tables and the frequency of the faults was evaluated in the graphs. Overall results showed different values of posture assessment. According to Jaros and Lomicek, nearly 20% of children had a perfect body posture, good 72%, badly less than 8%, and very bad holdings appeared in 1.5% of the investigated. Matthias's test showed nearly 70% of good body posture, 29% of pupil posture defective and 1% defective posture with fixed deviation. The most common functional disorders of this research group include primarily enlarged lumbar lordosis. This research has confirmed the importance of everyday physical activity and compensatory exercise in the fight against functional disorders.
