FreeCore : un système d'indexation de résumés de document sur une Table de Hachage Distribuée (DHT) / FreeCore : an index system of summary of documents on an Distributed Hash Table (DHT)

Ngom, Bassirou 13 July 2018 (has links)
This thesis examines the problem of indexing and searching in Distributed Hash Table (DHT). It provides a distributed system for storing document summaries based on their content. Concretely, the thesis uses Bloom filters (BF) to represent document summaries and proposes an efficient method for inserting and retrieving documents represented by BFs in an index distributed on a DHT. Content-based storage has a dual advantage. It allows to group similar documents together and to find and retrieve them more quickly at the same by using Bloom filters for keywords searches. However, processing a keyword query represented by a Bloom filter is a difficult operation and requires a mechanism to locate the Bloom filters that represent documents stored in the DHT. Thus, the thesis proposes in a second time, two Bloom filters indexes schemes distributed on DHT. The first proposed index system combines the principles of content-based indexing and inverted lists and addresses the issue of the large amount of data stored by content-based indexes. Indeed, by using Bloom filters with long length, this solution allows to store documents on a large number of servers and to index them using less space. Next, the thesis proposes a second index system that efficiently supports superset queries processing (keywords-queries) using a prefix tree. This solution exploits the distribution of the data and proposes a configurable distribution function that allow to index documents with a balanced binary tree. In this way, documents are distributed efficiently on indexing servers. In addition, the thesis proposes in the third solution, an efficient method for locating documents containing a set of keywords. Compared to solutions of the same category, the latter solution makes it possible to perform subset searches at a lower cost and can be considered as a solid foundation for supersets queries processing on over-dht index systems. Finally, the thesis proposes a prototype of a peer-to-peer system for indexing content and searching by keywords. This prototype, ready to be deployed in a real environment, is experimented with peersim that allowed to measure the theoretical performances of the algorithms developed throughout the thesis.

Prefix ex- u latinských sloves a jeho aspektová funkce / Latin Verbal Prefix ex- in Regard of Aspect

Vaníková, Martina January 2019 (has links)
Prefix ex- u latinských sloves a jeho aspektová funkce Latin Verbal Prefix ex- in Regard of Aspect - disertační práce - Mgr. Martina Vaníková Summary The proposed thesis titled Latin Verbal Prefix ex- in Regard of Aspect is a pilot study that deals with the ways of expressing aspect in Latin, which is based on the detailed analysis of the functions of the verbal prefix ex- as one of the important components of this category. It also tries to find the method for the future research on the matter. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author gives summary of existing theories on aspect in general, with special attention given to the theories on aspect in the Czech and Latin language. The author defines the terms "aspect", "Aktionsart" and "situation type" at great length, and she particularly sets light to the term "telicity", distinguishing the "inherent telicity" from "maximizing". The practical part consist of: 1. a detailed analysis of all the occurrences of the indicative imperfect of the verbs with the prefix ex- from the corpus, which comprises of all well-preserved Latin texts from Plautus to Cicero; 2. an analysis of the indicative future and present tense forms of the selected verbs with the prefix ex-. Based on the analysis of the imperfect, the author verifies her hypothesis that the prefix...

Projection principle as a source of constituent agreement in syntax : the case of Tshivenda

Govhola, Annah Thomani January 2022 (has links)
Thesis(M.A. (Translation and Linguistics Studies)) -- University of Limpopo, 2022 / The aim of this study was to examine the notion of projection, as underpinned by the Projection Principle, between the subject, the verb, the object, the adjective and the adverb in Tshivenḓa. Data were collected through participant observation, wherein the researcher collected data in the form of clauses and sentences in Tshivenḓa. This study found that verbs and subject prefixes are predicates which project arguments in sentences. These arguments are characterised both linguistically and in the form of word realities. The study further found that Tshivenḓa is a pro drop language because the adjectival argument prefix can locate the subject argument in absentia. In turn, subject arguments and adjectival arguments carry the same class nominal prefix. The projection of elements of a sentence in Tshivenḓa identifies grammatical relations between constituents. Lastly, it is recommended that studies of a similar nature should be conducted in other African languages to establish how elements of a clause or sentence cohere as informed by the Projection principle.

Synchronization analysis and simulation of a standard IEEE 802.11g OFDM signal

Lowham, Keith D. 03 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / Synchronization of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexed (OFDM) signals is significantly more difficult than synchronization of a single-carrier system. The recently approved IEEE Standard 802.11g specifies a packet-based OFDM system that provides a basis for the discussion of OFDM synchronization in a packet-based environment. Algorithms that synchronize the receiver carrier demodulation frequency and phase, the data frame, the OFDM symbol timing, and the data symbol timing are discussed and analyzed in an AWGN channel. System View simulation is used to implement the frame and carrier frequency synchronization algorithms, where the performance of these algorithms is analyzed and they are shown to be useful detection algorithms for Standard 802.11g signal reception. / Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy

Korpusová analýza adjektivních afixoidů a jejich lexikografické zpracování v dvoujazyčných německo-českých slovnících / Corpus analysis of adjectiv affixoids and their lexicographical processing in Czech-German dictionaries

Koptík, Tomáš January 2014 (has links)
This thesis demonstrates the necessity of inventarisation of word-formation components in the bi-lingual dictionaries, taking adjective affixoids as an example. Describing the hands-on approach to addition of these word-formation components into the upcoming Large German-Czech Academic Dictionary, it points to the issues arising in connection with the inventarisation itself.

A comparison of frequency offset estimation methods in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems

Karaoglu, Bulent 12 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release; distribution in unlimited. / OFDM is a modulation technique that achieves high data rates, increased bandwidth efficiency and robustness in multipath environments. However, OFDM has some disadvantages, such as sensitivity to channel fading, large peak to average ratio and sensitivity to frequency offset. The latter causes intercarrier interference (ICI) and a reduction in the amplitude of the desired subcarrier which results in loss of orthogonality. In this thesis, the effects of frequency offset are studied in terms of loss of orthogonality. A number of techniques for frequency offset estimation are presented and tested in computer simulations. / Lieutenant Junior Grade, Turkish Navy

Unfolding based verification of concurrent infinite-state systems

Trần, Thế Quang 19 June 2009 (has links)
We propose an unfolding technique for verifying concurrent infinite-state systems that are well-structured. Some properties of interest such as boundedness, coverability and termination are decidable thanks to the well-structure of these systems. Moreover, the unfolding effectively reduces the combinatorial explosion by exploiting the partial order between events of concurrent systems. We propose a modelization using event structures for basic well-structured systems, such as counters and communication channels. As the unfolding of a synchronized product of event structures is an event structure, we obtain a hierarchical approach to modeling as well as to verifying systems, which preserves the well-structure. Finally, we propose a technique for eliminating redundant events. The implementation of our approach in the ESU tool allows us to conclude on its efficiency.

Medlej, Maguy 30 June 2014 (has links)
This thesis proposes novel big data management techniques for periodic sensor networksembracing the limitations imposed by wsn and the nature of sensor data. First, we proposed anadaptive sampling approach for periodic data collection allowing each sensor node to adapt itssampling rates to the physical changing dynamics. It is based on the dependence of conditionalvariance of measurements over time. Then, we propose a multiple level activity model that usesbehavioral functions modeled by modified Bezier curves to define application classes and allowfor sampling adaptive rate. Moving forward, we shift gears to address the periodic dataaggregation on the level of sensor node data. For this purpose, we introduced two tree-based bilevelperiodic data aggregation techniques for periodic sensor networks. The first one look on aperiodic basis at each data measured at the first tier then, clean it periodically while conservingthe number of occurrences of each measure captured. Secondly, data aggregation is performedbetween groups of nodes on the level of the aggregator while preserving the quality of theinformation. We proposed a new data aggregation approach aiming to identify near duplicatenodes that generate similar sets of collected data in periodic applications. We suggested the prefixfiltering approach to optimize the computation of similarity values and we defined a new filteringtechnique based on the quality of information to overcome the data latency challenge. Last butnot least, we propose a new data mining method depending on the existing K-means clusteringalgorithm to mine the aggregated data and overcome the high computational cost. We developeda new multilevel optimized version of « k-means » based on prefix filtering technique. At the end,all the proposed approaches for data management in periodic sensor networks are validatedthrough simulation results based on real data generated by periodic wireless sensor network.

Návrh vyhledávacího systému pro moderní potřeby / Design of search engine for modern needs

Maršálek, Tomáš January 2016 (has links)
In this work I argue that field of text search has focused mostly on long text documents, but there is a growing need for efficient short text search, which has different user expectations. Due to this reduced data set size requirements different algorithmic techniques become more computationally affordable. The focus of this work is on approximate and prefix search and purely text based ranking methods, which are needed due to lower precision of text statistics on short text. A basic prototype search engine has been created using the researched techniques. Its capabilities were demonstrated on example search scenarios and the implementation was compared to two other open source systems representing currently recommended approaches for short text search problem. The results show feasibility of the implemented prototype regarding both user expectations and performance. Several options of future direction of the system are proposed.
