  • The Global ETD Search service is a free service for researchers to find electronic theses and dissertations. This service is provided by the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations.
Our metadata is collected from universities around the world. If you manage a university/consortium/country archive and want to be added, details can be found on the NDLTD website.

Veiksmų su trupmenomis mokomosios programinės įrangos sudarymas ir tyrimas / The formation and research of teaching programme equipment of actions with fractions

Kielienė, Donata 08 January 2007 (has links)
The research work is dedicated to compose a computer – based model with graphic tests and computerese. The object of the research – actions with vulgar fractions. The usable teaching programmes in primary forms were analyzed. The requirements and the needs of such programmes were defined. The rules of the actions with fractions were depicted invoking action structuring graphs and specification of training software requirements was comprised for technical demands. According to them and using universal computerese Visual Studio 2005 and applying special system of graphic tests TestTool5 two training programmes were created. The programme „Fraction“, total size 76 KB, is composed of three operating conditions. There might be many tasks. Graphic tests „Fractions“ are also composed of three operating conditions, 94 tasks, and a teacher has a possibility to supplement the tasks. These two training programmes were introduced at school and an experimental testing was accomplished. Thirty schoolchildren participated in the experiment. The diagrams showing their learning process were received. A questionnaire survey was made. The experiments showed that both programmes present good facilities for schoolchildren to carry out experiments and to pattern. They are appropriate for constructive teaching process.

Special Cycles on Shimura Curves and the Shimura Lift

Sankaran, Siddarth 19 December 2012 (has links)
The main results of this thesis describe a relationship between two families of arithmetic divisors on an integral model of a Shimura curve. The first family, studied by Kudla, Rapoport and Yang, parametrizes abelian surfaces with specified endomorphism structure. The second family is comprised of pullbacks of arithmetic cycles on integral models of Shimura varieties associated to unitary groups of signature (1,1). In the thesis, we construct these families of cycles, and describe their relationship, which is expressed in terms of the ``Shimura lift", a classical tool in the theory of modular forms of half-integral weight. This relations can be viewed as further evidence for the modularity of generating series of arithmetic "special cycles" for U(1,1), and fits broadly into Kudla's programme for unitary groups.

Measurement of the methodology and effectiveness of the Caltex's training program at Canadian Motors.

Goolam-Mahomed, M. S. January 2004 (has links)
Caltex have successfully implemented a training programme (Appendix O) designed in New Zealand where it has shown various levels of success. Based on those successes Caltex want to role out this programme to the rest of the world. The home country is imposing its training schedule on the host country. The Caltex training programme is designed with the premise that one size fits all. Thus the assumption is drawn that the needs and habits of motorists and employees in one country are the same, as in other countries. The reliability of service delivery is often totally within the control of front line employees. When service deteriorates or fails, employees are essential for setting things straight and using their judgement to determine the best course of action for service recovery. The responsiveness of front line employees directly influences customer's perception through their eager willingness to serve customers. The assurance of service quality is highly dependant on the employee's ability to communicate their credibility and to inspire trust and confidence. Empathy to consumers needs shows that the employees are caring and attentive. This attitudinal study is intended to show that the Caltex training program of frontline staff will have a positive impact on customer satisfaction levels. The study aims to show that training and development of frontline staff in a South African context needs more than a general approach but also requires staff assessment and a practical on the job focus. / Thesis (MBA)-University of Natal (Durban), 2004.

Les effets d'un programme d'équitation thérapeutique sur le contrôle de soi et les humeurs dépressives chez des adolescentes en troubles de comportement

Ayotte-Lavoie, Odrey January 2013 (has links)
