The use of the draw a person (DAP) and DAP variations to explore the self in educational psychology

Weideman, Junita Grezelda 02 1900 (has links)
During her theoretical training as an educational psychologist, the researcher was intrigued and fascinated by the expositions on the functioning of the self. With this study she pursued her goal to gain a clearer understanding of the formation and development of the self in a child, with the focus on the child in middle childhood (6 -12 years). In this study, she mainly focused on understanding the connection between the three crucial components of the self, self-concept and self-esteem. Her passion for art inspired her to be inventive and apply artistic creative methods of drawing, painting and clay human modelling as projective means to access the child’s unconscious mind, revealing pivotal experiences and emotions, revealing how the child relates to his or her self. According to this qualitative arts-based research study, the DAP (Draw a Person) and variations of PAP (Paint a Person) and CAP (Create a Person) with the use of appropriate DAP, PAP and CAP questionnaires, seem relevant therapeutic projective measures to assist in educational psychology in exploring the child’s self. / Further Teacher Education / M. Měření ovality extrudovaného vlákna pomocí tří kamer / Ovality measurement of extruded fiber using three cameras

Loučka, Pavel January 2019 (has links)
One of the important parameters observed during extruded fibre fabrication is its diameter. The diameter can be measured with a single scanning camera assuming that the fibre section has a circular shape. As proved in practice, another important parameter is ovality, that is the rate of fibre flattening. This paper assumes that the fibre section shape is elliptical. In such a case, at least three different views on examined fibre are needed. Mathematical part of this paper is concerned with analytical description of fibre ovality measurement using two different approaches based on the knowledge of linear algebra, projective geometry and conic sections theory. Main goal of this paper is thus to use both mathematical theory and image analysis methods for ovality and diameter determination. Precise calcluation of such quantities is, however, conditioned on precise camera system calibration, which is described in the paper as well. Additionally, the work contains a brief mention of technical realization of ovality measurement and its possible difficulties.

Vizualizace skalárních polí metodou back-to-front / Visualization of scalar fields by back-to-front method

Gurecká, Hana January 2020 (has links)
Teoretická část textu začíná představením fungování konfokálních mikroskopů a zasazení problematiky zkoumaných grafických metod do matematického kontextu.

Machálek, Lukáš January 2021 (has links)

Lokalizace objektů v prostoru / Object Localisation in 3D Space

Šolony, Marek Unknown Date (has links)
Virtual reality systems are nowadays common part of many research institutes due to its low cost and effective visualization of data. They mostly allow visualization and exploration of virtual worlds, but many lack user interaction. In this paper we suggest multi-camera optical system, which allows effective user interaction, thereby increasing immersion of virtual system. This paper describes the calibration process of multiple cameras using point correspondences.

Groupes projectifs et arrangements de droites / Projective groups and line arrangements

Wang, Zhenjian 19 June 2017 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to investigate various questions about projective groups and line arrangements in the projective plane. A projective group is a group which is isomorphic to the fundamental group of a smooth complex projective variety. To study projective groups, sophisticated techniques in algebraic topology and algebraic geometry have been developed in the passed decades, for instance, the theory of cohomology jump loci, together with Hodge theory, has been proven a powerful tool. Line arrangements in the projective plane are of special interest in the study of projective groups. Indeed, there are many open questions related to projective groups, and the theory of hyperplane arrangements, and in particular that of line arrangements, which is quite an active area of research, may provide insights for these problems. Furthermore, problems concerning the fundamental groups of the complements of hyperplane arrangements can be reduced to the case of line arrangements, due to the celebrated Zariski theorem of Lefschetz type. Very often, in the study of projective groups or quasi-projective groups, one usually considers line arrangements first to get some intuitive ideas. In this thesis, we also prove some theorems that are of independent interest and can be used elsewhere, for instance, we prove properties concerning morphisms from products of projective spaces in Chapter 4, we show that some morphisms have generic connected fibers in Chapter 5 and we give criteria for a projective surface to be of general type in Chapter 7.

Robitaille-Grou, Philippe 08 1900 (has links)
This thesis is devoted to the representation theory of the quantum algebra Uqsl2 for q a root of unity. More precisely it studies some modules of the algebra LUqsl2, the Lusztig extension of Uqsl2, when q² is a primitive p-root of unity for p an integer greater than or equal to 2. Four families of finite dimensional LUqsl2-modules, called remarkable modules, are identified: simple and projective modules as well as Weyl modules and comodules. The algebra Uqsl2 has a Hopf algebra structure; the latter can be extended to LUqsl2. The antipode of this structure is used to define a duality of LUqsl2-modules, from which the Weyl comodules are built, while the coproduct is used to define a tensor product of LUqsl2-modules, also called fusion of modules. This thesis determines the fusion rules of remarkable modules: the tensor product of any pair of remarkable modules is expressed as a direct sum of indecomposable modules. Although the fusion rules between simple and projective modules were obtained by Bushlanov, Feigin, Gainutdinov and Tipunin (cf. [7]), those involving at least one Weyl module or comodule are new.

[en] BEGINNINGS OF THE PSYCHE: ELEMENTS FOR THE CLINIC OF LIMIT CASES. (THE PARADOX OF THE DUAL UNIT) / [pt] PRIMÓRDIOS DO PSIQUISMO: ELEMENTOS PARA A CLÍNICA DOS CASOS-LIMITE. (O PARADOXO DA UNIDADE DUAL)

CRISTIANA REGINA FERREIRA DE AGUIAR PONDE 26 May 2020 (has links)
[en] This thesis aims to contribute to the discussion on the clinic of so-called borderline cases from an investigation into the intersubjective elements that constitute the beginnings of the psyche. The conductive thread consists of the paradoxical experience of dual unit, characteristic of the initial moments of relationability, and which also constitutes a starting point for analytical work with very regressed patients. To this end, this research will be divided into two thematic axes. The first axis, composed of the first two chapters, consists of an investigation into the beginnings of the psyche in sufficiently good conditions and then on environmental failures and their vicissitudes for the etiology of limit cases. The second axis refers to a discussion on the clinic of limit cases. Initially, an articulation of the main elements of early intersubjective experience with the concept of countertransference is considered. Then, the analytical work is proposed with the so-called difficult cases from a Transformational Model. This occurs within the scope of a field optician in which the non-symbolized psychic elements can be welcomed, metabolized and transformed within the analyst/analyzing dyade, considered as one of the pathways of this field.

A See-ability Metric to Improve Mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator Awareness Using Video Georegistered to Terrain Models

Engh, Cameron Howard 20 November 2008 (has links) (PDF)
Search and rescue operations conducted in wilderness environments can be greatly aided by the use of video filmed from mini-UAVs. While lightweight, inexpensive and easily transportable, these small aircraft suffer from wind buffeting and may produce video that is difficult to search. To aid in the video search process, we have created a system to project video frames into a 3D representation of the search region. This projection allows us to tie each frame of video to a real-world location, enabling a myriad of novel views, mosaics and metrics that can be used to guide the search including a new metric dubbed “see-ability.” The “see-ability” metric is the primary contribution of this research as it indicates what portion of the search area has been viewed and provides an estimate of the quality of that viewing. The research includes a validation of the “see-ability” metric as it correlates to objective performance in the search task by real people.
