Betrayed, Berserk, and Abandoned: War Trauma in Sophocles' Ajax and PhiloctetesBinus, Joshua Robert 04 June 2014 (has links)
Sophocles’ Ajax and Philoctetes can be read as allegories of warriors who experience war trauma. The ancient Greeks already knew of the effects of war trauma through prior literature, and the plays were produced during a period of great violence and upheaval. Ajax shows how a shame-inducing betrayal causes a warrior to go berserk, and consequently withdraw from his community and commit suicide. Philoctetes shows that a betrayal, combined with the loss of a comrade, can cause the warrior to become isolated and emotionally vulnerable. His only means of being reintegrated into society is through mutual understanding with members of that society, and closure with his dead comrade. By using subversive performance praxis, the author hopes to rupture these dominant narratives in hope of creating new possibilities for identity narratives.

CoordenaÃÃo de AperfeiÃoamento de Pessoal de NÃvel Superior / The purpose of the study is to evaluate how to set up school management of Salesian Educational System, gauged by evaluating institutional procedures and psychodynamic. It is, therefore, a descriptive field in qualitative and quantitative approach through a case study. Through a questionnaire and two sociometric tests, 105 employees participated in the study, being 16.19% and 69.5 faculty administrators. For the qualitative analysis, we used content analysis and for the reliability calculations and extraction of factors in addition to descriptive analysis, were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0. Based on the analysis fatoral the items, you realize that the Salesian System has several positive aspects, however, still needs to develop strategies for improvement, especially in relation 1) to support the management of educational activities, 2) the transparency of management and institutional assessment and 3) to maintain the quality of education. Regarding institutional assessment, the institution may develop in relation to two factors that are concerning to i) meet the objectives of the school management and ii) support for teacher training and staff. In sociometric tests, we realized that the management group has 1) difficulties of dealing with negatives and 2) difficulties of dealing with the authority of the hierarchy. We consider the study by contributing to the improvement of the planning and actions of the group manager with the actions pedagogical and evaluative institutional as well as leverage in other institutions Basic Education reflection of the need to evaluate in order to make decisions. / O objetivo do estudo à avaliar como se configura a gestÃo escolar da Rede Salesiana de ensino, aferida mediante a avaliaÃÃo institucional e dos procedimentos psicodinÃmicos. Trata-se, por conseguinte, de uma pesquisa descritiva, bibliogrÃfica, documental, em campo, com abordagens quantitativa e qualitativa consubstanciando um estudo de caso. Por meio de um questionÃrio e de dois testes sociomÃtricos, participaram do estudo 105 funcionÃrios, sendo 16,19% gestores e 69,5 docentes. Para a anÃlise qualitativa, utilizou a anÃlise de conteÃdo e em relaÃÃo à anÃlise quantitativa, aos cÃlculos de confiabilidade e extraÃÃo de fatores, alÃm da anÃlise descritiva, os dados foram analisados atravÃs do SPSS versÃo 20.0; e, com base na anÃlise fatorial dos itens, percebe-se que a Rede Salesiana tem vÃrios aspectos positivos. Entretanto, necessita desenvolver estratÃgias de melhoria, principalmente, nos que se refere aos seguintes pontos: 1) ao apoio da gestÃo as aÃÃes educativas, 2) a transparÃncia da gestÃo e da avaliaÃÃo institucional e 3) a manter a qualidade da educaÃÃo. No que refere-se à avaliaÃÃo institucional, a instituiÃÃo pode se desenvolver em relaÃÃo aos dois fatores que estÃo relacionadas a i) atender aos objetivos da gestÃo escolar e ii) ao apoio a formaÃÃo docente e de funcionÃrios. Nos testes sociomÃtricos, percebe-se que o grupo gestor tem 1) dificuldades de lidar com pontos negativos e 2) dificuldades de lidar com a autoridade de hierarquia. Considera-se que o estudo contribui para o aprimoramento do planejamento e aÃÃes do grupo gestor junto Ãs aÃÃes pedagÃgicas e avaliativas institucionais, bem como potencializar em outras instituiÃÃes de EducaÃÃo BÃsica da Rede Salesiana de Ensino a reflexÃo da necessidade avaliar-se a fim de tomar decisÃes.

Os grupos reflexivos durante a formação médica têm sido destacados na literatura como uma estratégia eficaz de intervenção contribuindo para uma reflexão sobre o papel profissional. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a eficácia de uma atividade grupal com estudantes de medicina, a respeito do papel profissional e de suas dificuldades iniciais no curso médico. O referencial teórico adotado foi o Sociodrama Educacional. O estudo foi dividido em 4 etapas: 1) Pré-inquérito, através de questionário estruturado, com alunos de medicina do 1o ao 3o ano (N=240), obtivemos o nível de satisfação dos estudantes frente a questões sobre o ciclo básico; 2) realização de 11 grupos focais com estudantes do 1º ao 3º ano de medicina,selecionados da fase anterior, para o levantamento de suas representações sobre os seguintes temas: a escolha pelo curso médico, as dificuldades vivenciadas até o momento e as expectativas quanto ao papel profissional (N=24); 3) Grupo Reflexivo com participação de 10 alunos da fase anterior com 9 reuniões semanais, distribuídas em atividades de aquecimento e reflexão através da interpretação lúdica de papéis; 4) entrevista final de avaliação dividida em 3 momentos: cognitivo, afetivo e avaliativo. O estudo caracterizou-se como uma pesquisa-intervenção, valendo-se dos pressupostos da abordagem qualitativa de investigação. As entrevistas de grupos focais identificaram que as representações dos estudantes de medicina no início de sua formação estão ancoradas por idéias altruístas e podem ir se modificando ao longo da formação, podendo existir momentos de conflitos durante o desenvolvimento desse papel. Nesse sentido, a avaliação obtida dos alunos em relação ao grupo reflexivo proposto foi de reconhecimento da importância do mesmo como um modelo para uma reflexão crítica do papel profissional em desenvolvimento. / The reflexive groups during the medical formation have been highlighted in the literature as an effective strategy of intervention contributing to a reflection on the professional paper. The objective of the present work went evaluate to effectiveness of a group activity with medicine students, regarding the professional paper and of its initial difficulties in the medical course. The adopted theoretical referencial was Educational Sociodrama. The study was divided in 4 stages: 1) Preinquiry, through structured questionnaire, with medicine students of the 1st to the 3rd year (N=240), we obtained the satisfaction level of the students front to subjects on the basic cycle; 2) accomplishment of 11 focal groups with students of the 1st to the 3rd year of medicine, selected of the previous phase, for the rising of its representations on the following themes: the choice for the medical course, the difficulties existents until the moment and the expectations with relationship to the professional paper (N=24); 3) Reflexive Group with 10 students\' of the phase previous with 9 weekly meetings participation, distributed in heating activities and reflection through role-playing; 4) glimpses evaluation end divided in 3 moments: cognitive, affective and evaluative. The study was characterized as a researchintervention, being been worth of the presuppositions of the qualitative approach of investigation. The interviews of focal groups identified that the medicine students\' representations in the beginning of its formation are anchored by altruistic ideas and they can go modifying along the formation, could exist moments of conflicts during the development of that paper. In that sense, the students\' obtained evaluation in relation to the proposed reflexive group went of recognition of to importance of the same as a model for a critical reflection of the professional paper in development.

The thesis describes a demonstration of the use of drama and psychodrama approach as a method when working with a drug dependent client during the treatment in a therapeutic community. In the theoretical part I focus on clarification of terms associated with the name of thesis, especially with the concepts of dramatherapy, psychodrama, catharsis, abreaction, corrective emotional experience. Furthermore, the theoretical section contains information on individual methods and possibilities of their use. The main objective of thesis was to illustrate a specific therapeutic method by the analysis of particular work, in my case dramatherapy and psychodrama. In the practical part I analysed from available documents and observing to which extent dramatherapy and psychodrama may be beneficial for a client in the treatment in the therapeutic community and demonstrated their impact on the client. The outcome of thesis is a description of each session, which can serve as an inspiration for starting dramatherapists working with drug dependent clients. Furthermore, it is also the analysis of client's development, a progress in the treatment and a thorough analysis during and after the sessions. Dans ce travail de recherche en psychologie clinique et psychopathologie, nous interrogeons la dimension de l'oubli dans la démence chez des personnes âgées. Plus spécifiquement, nous questionnons les mécanismes qui sous-tendent l'oubli, ses effets chez le patient et dans la relation ; ainsi que les techniques thérapeutiques spécifiques à mettre en place. L'utilisation du dispositif de psychodrame de groupe nous permet de mettre à jour des possibilités de traitement de l'oubli démentiel. Le fonctionnement groupal facilite une relance des fonctions psychiques de maintenance, de contenance et de pare-excitations des sujets déments. Les passages par le corps, l'affect et la motricité permettent de réaccéder à des traces corporelles, non verbales et de relancer un travail de représentation. La démarche de réminiscence se constitue dans le groupe, dans l'articulation des psychés en présence ; en ce sens nous parlons de construction intersubjective du souvenir. Dans notre pensée l'oubli démentiel apparaît comme une tentative adaptative du sujet face à la désorganisation démentielle. Nous distinguons deux formes d'oublis : une forme sidérative qui attaque la trace mnésique et provoque une déconstruction momentanée de l'inscription. Une forme progressive qui désinvestit les liens associatifs entre les différentes traces mnésiques, et coupe pour un temps l'inscription du réseau de sens. / This study in clinical psychology and psychopathology explores the extent of memory loss amongst the elderly. More specifically, it examines the mechanisms underlying memory loss and the effects of this mental condition on both the patient and the patient's relationships. Another aspect of our research is to develop new therapeutic techniques using group psychodrama which gives us greater insight on the possibilities of treatments for memory loss dementia patients. The psychic functions are facilitated by group therapy which boosts the abilities of memory by volume, capacity and participation in dementia subjects. By looking at the body, the affects and motor skill, permit us to see the physical traits, the non-verbal traits and continue working to better their performance. In the psyche of the group we can see that this approach establishes a joint ability to recollect in the present; we are speaking about the intersubjectivity of collective memory. As we see it, memory loss dementia appears as an adaptive attempt by the subject confronted with disorganizational dementia. We can distinguish two forms of memory loss; one in which the end result attacks the traces of memory and provokes an unraveling of the ability to remember and a progressive form which reduces the associative links between the different forms of remembrance and cuts for a time the ability of memory to link to other senses.

Previous issue date: 2012-05-18 / This is a thorough analysis of re-plotting, a sociodramatic working method
developed by Arnaldo Liberman, looking at the potential of this method in the
research of contemporary roles, with particular emphasis on the role of
grandparents. Despite of being widely used by psychodramatists, we couldn t
find references in the literature with regards the potential of re-plotting, and as
we consider it to be an appropriate instrument for research, our aim is to
conduct a thorough analysis of this working method. The reason we chose to
explore the role of grandparents is that there is significantly less research of
these in comparison to the parental roles, and with the aging of the population
the chances of people experiencing these roles have increased.
We have analysed a re-plotting session that took place during a public
psychodrama act, comparing the information obtained from this event with
information from the relevant literature, and evaluating the actual process of replotting
through which this information was gathered. It was shown that the
grandparent role is a role linked with elderly people who give their grandchildren
a sense of importance and self-worth, and allow them to feel part of a family
history with the acknowledgement of their ancestry. It was also shown that
through the use of re-plotting a wide range of information can be gathered about
the explored roles, also allowing a comparison of individual and collective
concepts. Furthermore, through group members reflections on the information
obtained during the process, this method can also promote wellbeing. In certain
situations it also makes psychotherapeutic or axiodramatic work possible / Trata-se de uma análise criteriosa da retramatização, forma de trabalhar com
sociodramas criada por Arnaldo Liberman, que avalia suas possibilidades na
pesquisa de papéis contemporâneos, aqui particularmente no papel de avós.
Apesar de amplamente utilizada pelos psicodramatistas, não encontrei
trabalhos que verificassem suas possibilidades e considerando que pudesse
ser um bom instrumento de pesquisa, optei por analisá-la. A escolha da
utilização do papel de avós justificou-se por ser um papel familiar sobre o qual
existe menos pesquisa, frente ao papel dos pais, e também pelo
envelhecimento da população, o que aumenta a oportunidade de sujeitos que
vivenciam ou vivenciarão este papel. Realizei a análise de uma retramatização
feita em um ato psicodramático público, confrontando os dados obtidos sobre o
papel de avós com a literatura, e avaliei o próprio processo da retramatização
por meio da qual estes dados foram obtidos. O papel de avó mostrou-se um
papel de idoso, que dá ao neto uma sensação de importância e valor,
permitindo a ele inserir-se numa história familiar com o reconhecimento de uma
linhagem. Verifiquei que a retramatização permite ampla obtenção de dados
sobre o papel pesquisado, propiciando confronto entre conceitos individuais e
coletivos. E que, além disso, pode favorecer a promoção de saúde por meio da
reflexão dos próprios participantes do grupo sobre os dados que vão obtendo
no processo. Em algumas situações pode permitir um trabalho
psicoterapêutico, ou axiodramático

Relações de alteridade no contato intercultural: perspectivas de estudantes estrangeiros na Universidade de São Paulo / Alterity relationships in the intercultural contact : perspectives from foreign students at University of Sao PauloSilva, Ivy Lima e 14 October 2016 (has links)
Nas últimas décadas do século XXI, os acordos de cooperação acadêmica nacional e internacional entre as universidades têm se intensificado e contribuído para o encontro entre realidades educacionais e culturais diversificadas. Neste contexto, questionamos como as relações interpessoais se desenvolvem, considerando a cultura como mediadora desse processo e da relação com a alteridade. O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é compreender o sentido da experiência intercultural e a relação de alteridade para alunos estrangeiros em intercâmbio acadêmico na Universidade de São Paulo. Com base nas técnicas e procedimentos do método de Jacob Levy Moreno, desenvolvemos uma proposta de interlocução entre o psicodrama e a fenomenologia de Maurice Merleau-Ponty para refletir sobre o tema da alteridade. Foram organizados dois grupos de intervenção sociopsicodramática formados por latino-americanos, europeus e asiáticos com o propósito de descrever e entender os sentidos atribuídos pelos alunos à experiência intercultural. Os temas circunscreveram o sentido da experiência intercultural em termos da língua utilizada, da comparação entre os países e da vivência como estrangeiro, o que se mostrou relevante para a dinâmica do papel de intercambista. A análise dos resultados destacou categorias como: tempo, gênero, referências culturais, idioma, autoconhecimento e vivência ambígua, as quais foram problematizadas na discussão sobre a alteridade. Do ponto de vista teórico-metodológico, a adoção desta abordagem pode conferir aos estudos de Moreno uma leitura ampliada da relação eu-outro, considerando simultaneamente a identidade e a diferença como aspectos destacados pelos grupos. A análise desenvolvida com os grupos de estudantes intercambistas parece apontar, de um lado, para uma importante ação e revisão das práticas universitárias quanto ao acolhimento desta demanda que transforma o próprio contexto da educação. E, de outro, para uma reflexão sobre as possibilidades e limites da alteridade, evidenciando as fronteiras culturais que permeiam as ambiguidades da dimensão do vivido e da experiência de ser estrangeiro no contato intercultural contemporâneo / During the last decades of the 21st century, the national and international academic cooperation agreements between universities have been intensified and contributed to the encounter of diversified cultural and educational realities. In this context, we question how interpersonal relationships are developed, considering culture as a mediator of this process related to otherness. The main objective of this research is to understand the meaning of intercultural experience and the alterity relationship for foreign students in academic exchange in the University of São Paulo. Based on the techniques and procedures of Jacob Levy Moreno\'s method, we proposed a dialogue between psychodrama and phenomenology to reflect the otherness theme. Two groups of sociopsychodramatic intervention were organized formed by latin americans, europeans and asians to describe and understand the senses assigned by the students to the intercultural experience. The themes circunscribed the sense of intercultural experience in terms of the used language, of the comparison between countries and of the living as a foreigner, all relevant to the dynamic of the interchange role. The results highlight categories: time, gender, cultural references, language, self-knowledge and ambiguous living, which were debated regarding otherness. From the technical and methodological point of view, this approach provides Morenos studies a wide reading over the relationship self and the other, considering simultaneously the identity and the difference as aspects highlighted by the groups. The analysis developed with the groups of exchange students seems to indicate, from one side, the need of an action and revision of university procedures about hosting the demand that transforms the context of education itself. From the other side, it indicates towards a reflection over the possibilities and limits of otherness, undergoing the cultural frontiers around the ambiguities of the living dimension and the experience of being a foreigner in the contemporary intercultural contact
