The aim of the paper is to discuss the way that the online job banks send resumes to businesses for job seekers, and most businesses and job seekers have chosen online job banks as channel management for job wanted due to the rapid development of information technology for recent years. What businesses find employees and job seekers find jobs through the online job banks can be classified into two kinds, one is active candidates for the job, and another is matching pair by the online job banks. The online job banks help job seekers to send resumes to businesses by means of both ways, and how the online job banks send resumes to businesses for job seekers will affect the outcome. Therefore, this paper focuses on original way of sending resumes used by the online job banks, and also uses Gale-Shapley algorithm to devise different way of sending resumes which the online job banks possibly use in the future and consequently by comparing two ways of sending resumes, it can analyze what ways of sending resumes can be adopted by the online job banks under different situations.

The creative project is a videotape of the author's works, which are separated into four categories: computer images, two-dimensional animation, photographs and three-dimensional animation. Emphasis was placed on unifying artwork from different mediums. Digital editing effects were used to help distinguish between the various artwork sections. A new use of frame-of-reference training: improving reviewers’ inferences from biodata informationLundstrom, Joel Thomas January 1900 (has links)
Doctor of Philosophy / Department of Psychology / Patrick A. Knight / A commonly accepted practice in employment selection is to collect biographical information in the form of resumes. Surprisingly, little research is conducted in this area to learn how reviewers evaluate relevant biographical information and considerable less research is devoted to exploring possible methods on how to improve this evaluation process. Current research explored one possible training method that may later show great utility in improving accuracy and consistency in ratings for a number of work-related constructs. Frame-of-reference training, which is primarily utilized in the field of performance appraisal, was hypothesized to be a beneficial training technique in an effort to improve accuracy. Frame-of-reference (FOR) training attempts to create a common frame of reference among raters when assessing rates' behaviors. Through a process of practice and feedback, FOR training tunes raters to common notions of what good or poor would be on a particular dimension. The result is often more accurate ratings with less variation between raters. Personality (conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness only), general cognitive ability, and organizational citizenship behaviors were the constructs of interest. The analysis provided initial support for most of the hypotheses which suggested that frame-of-reference training would create more accurate and reliable estimates of applicant's personality, cognitive ability, and even organizational citizenship behaviors. In addition to influencing participants' estimates of applicant's scores on a number of workplace constructs, it was also found that participants were influenced as a function of type of training on their willingness to interview and overall impressions of the applicants. Limitations and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

Previous issue date: 2017-03-28 / La presente investigación tiene como objeto de estudio la práctica pedagógica de los docentes que actúan en los Centros Estatales para Jóvenes y Adultos (CEEJA) de la red estatal de enseñanza de São Paulo. Los CEEJA ofrecen cursos semipresenciales y se caracterizan por proporcionar una enseñanza individualizada y por la flexibilidad de horario en la atención al alumno, presentando una organización y unas características diferentes de una escuela formal. La cuestión central de nuestra investigación es conocer el grado de comprensión que los profesores tienen acerca de sus prácticas pedagógicas en estas instituciones. Sostenemos la hipótesis de que los profesores del CEEJA enfrentan muchas dificultades al realizar su trabajo de forma individualizada, dada la dificultad para romper con las prácticas de enseñanza bancaria que caracterizan el trabajo escolar desde el ciclo inicial y orientan la práctica pedagógica docente. Los objetivos de la investigación son comprender como los profesores que actúan en los CEEJA organizan la enseñanza individual para atender a los alumnos de la EJA y qué prácticas educacionales desarrollan para alcanzar ese objetivo. Para la realización del estudio elaboramos un cuestionario estructurado y se lo enviamos a los profesores de Geografía de los 31 CEEJA de la red estatal de enseñanza. Nos fueron retornados un total de 21, que incluían localidades de São Paulo y de la región metropolitana de São Paulo, del litoral y del interior, permitiendo así obtener un amplio panorama de los centros de la red estatal de enseñanza. Además del cuestionario estructurado, realizamos el análisis de los documentos que regulan las actividades de los CEEJA y de los informes de acompañamiento pedagógico, así como de las normas y resoluciones de la Secretaría de Estado de Educación de São Paulo. En líneas generales, cabe afirmar que los docentes perciben la importancia del hecho de que el formato del curso esté basado en la flexibilidad y el trato individualizado. También valoran la relación con los estudiantes, específicamente en relación al conocimiento que estos poseen. Por este motivo, queda explicitado en el discurso de los profesores un sentimiento de que tanto su trabajo como sus prácticas pedagógicas, son reconocidas. / The present research has its objective to cover the pedagogical practice of teachers from the education center of youth and adults (CEEJA) of São Paulo. CEEJA offers courses with professionals that have special skills set. They have flexible timing to help the students, as well as organization that sets them apart from a regular school.
Our main question is to understand how much teacher do comprehend of pedagogical practices in these institutions. Our hypotheses is that teachers from CEEJA do face a lot of difficulties to perform their job in a more customized way, because it’s hard to break some of the habits and practices of current scenario. The main objective of this research is to understand how CEEJA teachers perform and they make themselves available for one to one student support. In order to obtain data for this research, we have sent to 31 geography teachers from CEEJA and got 21 questionnaire back, covering São Paulo city and outskirts and country side of São Paulo. In addition to the questionnaire, we have also analyzed documents of regular CEEJA activities and its resolutions from the Education Secretary of São Paulo State. In summary, we can emphasize how teachers appreciate the flexible and customized course, relationship teacher/student is appreciated. The teacher feel valued in their work and pedagogical practices. / A presente investigação tem como objeto de estudo a prática pedagógica dos docentes que atuam nos Centros Estaduais de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (CEEJA) da rede estadual de ensino de São Paulo. Os CEEJA oferecem cursos semipresenciais e se caracterizam pelo ensino individualizado e pela flexibilidade no horário de atendimento ao aluno, apresentando organização e características diferentes das de uma escola regular. Nossa questão central é investigar a compreensão que os professores possuem de suas práticas pedagógicas nessas instituições. Nossa hipótese é a de que os professores dos CEEJA enfrentam muitas dificuldades em realizar seu trabalho de forma individualizada, pois é muito difícil romper com as práticas de ensino bancárias, que caracterizam o trabalho escolar desde as séries iniciais e orientam a prática pedagógica docente. Os objetivos da pesquisa são compreender como os professores que atuam nos CEEJA organizam o ensino individualizado para o atendimento dos alunos da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) e quais práticas educacionais desenvolvem para alcançar esse objetivo. Para a realização deste estudo foi elaborado um questionário estruturado, enviado aos professores de Geografia dos 31 CEEJA da rede estadual de ensino; obtivemos o retorno de 21 deles, abrangendo localidades da Grande São Paulo, do litoral e do interior do estado, o que permitiu obter um panorama desses centros da rede estadual de ensino. Além do questionário estruturado, realizamos a análise dos documentos que normatizam as atividades do CEEJA, dos relatórios de acompanhamento pedagógico, além de normas e resoluções da Secretaria de Educação do Estado de São Paulo. De modo geral, podemos afirmar que os docentes percebem que a flexibilidade e a individualização são características importantes para o curso e que a relação com os discentes é valorizada, especificamente no que se refere ao conhecimento que eles possuem. Por essa razão, fica explícito na fala dos professores um sentimento de valorização de seu trabalho e das práticas pedagógicas.

Evaluating Text Summarization Models on Resumes : Investigating the Quality of Generated Resume Summaries and their Suitability as Resume Introductions / Utvärdering av Textsammanfattningsmodeller för CV:n : Undersökning av Kvaliteten på Genererade CV-sammanfattningar och deras Lämplighet som CV-introduktionerKrohn, Amanda January 2023 (has links)
This thesis aims to evaluate different abstractive text summarization models and techniques for summarizing resumes. It has two main objectives: investigate the models’ performance on resume summarization and assess the suitability of the generated summaries as resume introductions. Although automatic abstractive text summarization has gained traction in various areas, its application in the resume domain has not yet been explored. Resumes present a unique challenge for abstractive summarization due to their diverse style, content, and length. To address these challenges, three state-of-the-art pre-trained text generation models: BART, T5, and ProphetNet, were selected. Additionally, two approaches that can handle longer resumes were investigated. The first approach, named LongBART, modified the BART architecture by incorporating the Longformer’s self-attention into the encoder. The second approach, named HybridBART, used an extractive-then-abstractive summarization strategy. The models were fine-tuned on a dataset of 653 resume-introduction pairs and were evaluated using automatic metrics as well as two types of human evaluations: a survey and expert interviews. None of the models demonstrated superiority across all criteria and evaluation metrics. However, the survey responses indicated that LongBART showed promising results, receiving the highest scores in three out of five criteria. On the other hand, ProphetNet consistently received the lowest scores across all criteria in the survey, and across all automatic metrics. Expert interviews emphasized that the generated summaries cannot be considered correct summaries due to the presence of hallucinated personal attributes. However, there is potential for using the generated texts as resume introductions, given that measures are taken to ensure the hallucinated personal attributes are sufficiently generic. / Denna avhandling utvärderar olika modeller och tekniker för automatisk textsammanfattning för sammanfattning av CV:n. Avhandlingen har två mål: att undersöka modellernas prestanda på sammanfattning av CV:n och bedöma lämpligheten att använda de genererade sammanfattningar som CV-introduktioner. Även om automatisk abstrakt textsummering har fått fotfäste inom olika sammanhang är dess tillämpning inom CV-domänen ännu outforskad. CV:n utgör en unik utmaning för abstrakt textsammanfattning på grund av deras varierande stil, innehåll och längd. För att hantera dessa utmaningar valdes tre av de främsta förtränade modellerna inom textgenerering: BART, T5 och ProphetNet. Dessutom undersöktes två extra metoder som kan hantera längre CV:n. Det första tillvägagångssättet, kallat LongBART, modifierade BART-arkitekturen genom att inkludera självuppmärksamhet från Longformer-arkitekturen i kodaren. Det andra tillvägagångssättet, kallat HybridBART, använde en extraktiv-sen-abstraktiv sammanfattningsstrategi. Modellerna finjusterades med ett dataset med 653 CV-introduktionspar och utvärderades med hjälp av automatiska mått, samt två typer av mänsklig utvärdering: en enkätundersökning och intervjuer med experter. Ingen av modellerna visade överlägsenhet på alla kriterier och utvärderingsmått. Dock indikerade enkätsvaren att LongBART visade lovande resultat, genom att få högst poäng i tre av fem utvärderingskategorier. Å andra sidan fick ProphetNet lägst poäng i samtliga utvärderingskategorier, samt lägst poäng i alla automatiska mätningar. Expertintervjuer framhävde att de genererade sammanfattningarna inte kan anses vara pålitliga som fristående sammanfattningar på grund av förekomsten av hallucinerade personliga egenskaper. Trots detta finns det potential att använda dessa sammanfattningar som introduktioner, under förutsättningen att åtgärder vidtas för att säkerställa att hallucinerade personliga attribut är tillräckligt generiska.

knowledge in databases, which enables the treatment and analysis of sets of data available on
the scientific and technological production of researchers, institutions and countries. The
objective of this research was to develop and apply a systematics for the collection, treatment
and analysis of information about areas of scientific knowledge in Brazil, using essentially
open access data and free tools. The method was a case study, the unit case was the priority
area nanotechnology and the source of information comprised the bases: Lattes Curriculum
Base; Directory of Search Groups; Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations; And
the Espacenet of the European Patent Office. The results achieved were 1) the creation and
presentation of a systematic for the collection, treatment and analysis of information 2)
indicators for the treated area. It is concluded that the Information in Science and Technology,
with open access, allow a democratic generation of knowledge in this context. The sources of
information and the set of tools made possible the elaboration of indicators capable of
elucidating multiple dimensions of scientific and technological production - of researchers
and research groups - in addition to teaching and research in postgraduate studies. The
indicators obtained and their application reinforce the objective of the data mining process, in
the sense of transforming data into information to be used in the decision-making process of
organizations that are dedicated to the preservation and innovation of knowledge. / Nos últimos anos os estudos sociais da ciência têm revelado um especial interesse na extração
de conhecimentos em bases de dados, o que possibilita o tratamento e análise de conjuntos de
dados disponíveis sobre a produção científica e tecnológica de pesquisadores, instituições e
países. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi desenvolver e aplicar uma sistemática para coleta,
tratamento e análise de informações sobre áreas do conhecimento científico no Brasil,
utilizando essencialmente dados de acesso aberto e ferramentas livres. O método foi
compreendido por um estudo de caso, a unidade caso foi a área prioritária nanotecnologia e a
fonte de informação compreendeu as bases: Base de Currículos Lattes; Diretório de Grupos de
Pesquisa; Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações; e a Espacenet do Escritorio
Europeu de Patentes. Os resultados alcançados foram 1) a criação e apresentação de uma
sistemática para coleta, tratamento e análise de informações 2) indicadores para a área tratada.
Conclui-se que as Informações em Ciência e Tecnologia, com acesso aberto, permitem uma
democrática geração de conhecimentos para este contexto. As fontes de informação e o
conjunto de ferramentas levantadas possibilitaram a elaboração de indicadores capazes de
elucidar múltiplas dimensões da produção científica e tecnológica – de pesquisadores e
grupos de pesquisa – além do ensino e pesquisa na pós-graduação. Os indicadores obtidos e
sua aplicação reforçam o objetivo do processo de data mining, no sentido de transformar
dados em informação a ser empregada no processo decisório das organizações que se dedicam
à preservação e a inovação do conhecimento.
