The following report describes the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of the short film NIGHT OUT, a film set in the present day in Montreal, Quebec. The story follows a high school kid throughout one evening out on the town. Over the course of the night he meets an older man, Julian, who takes him to a bar where he meets an older woman, Patricia. NIGHT OUT explores the loneliness in urban landscapes, a young person’s relationship with strangers, and the risks and rewards of opening yourself to the world. The majority of this report consists of a first-person account of the entire process of making this project, from its inception to its completion. Supplemental materials include: character descriptions and synopsis, shot list, lined script, storyboards, and a props and costume list. / text

In the last years, the Peruvian Tax Court has been considered that a corporate spin off where a company transfers a “neutral” or “negative” equity block does not qualifies as a real spin off, hence it should apply the tax rules as if this operation was a common sale. The author analyzes this criterion, and concludes that spin off where a company transfers a “neutral” or “negative” equity block, constitutes a real spin off. As a consequence, it must apply the special tax rules established for the corporate spin off. / En los últimos años, el Tribunal Fiscal Peruano ha considerado que las reorganizaciones societarias en donde se segreguen bloques patrimoniales negativos/neutros no son verdaderas reorganizaciones societarias para efectos tributarios, y por consiguiente se les aplicaría las normas tributarias previstas para las enajenaciones comunes. El autor analiza dichos pronunciamientos, concluyendo que las reorganizaciones societarias con bloques patrimoniales negativos/neutros, sí constituyen verdaderas reorganizaciones societarias para todos los efectos y por ende, les son aplicables las normas tributarias especiales previstas para reorganizaciones societarias.

The goal of this work is design and implementation of library for RTF processing. The library contains classes for conversion of  RTF files to XHTML files. Implementation of library is made in Java programming language and it is tested by using proposed set of tests. Application interface of the library is a subset of the DOM standard and allows to manipulate with final XHTML document.

[pt] Na virada autoritária/conservadora, o gênero está no cerne tanto dessa nova convergência da direita – funcionando como mais do que uma cola simbólica –quanto na resistência a esse desmonte democrático. Assim, esta pesquisa analisa como os Movimentos Sociais de Gênero e as Redes Feministas Transnacionais estão resistindo a essa virada autoritária/conservadora, com foco no estudo de caso húngaro. Através do conceito de solidariedade interseccional, esta tese argumenta que coalizões entre grupos populares de gênero e Redes Feministas Transnacionais são uma importante forma de resistência, permitindo a sobrevivência de movimentos de gênero em casos extremos de governo autoritário/conservador, como o regime de Orbán, e, adicionalmente, desenvolver coalizões transformadoras por meio das diferenças. / [en] In the authoritarian/conservative turn, gender is in the core of both this new convergence of the Right – working as more than a symbolic glue- and also in the resistance to this democratic dismantling. Hence, this research analyzes how Gender Social Movements and Transnational Feminist Networks (TFN) are resisting in this authoritarian/conservative turn, focusing on the Hungarian case study. Drawing on the concept of intersectional solidarity, this research argues that coalitions among gender grass root groups and TFNs are an important form of resistance. Those coalitions enable gender movements survival in extreme cases of authoritarian/conservative governments, as Orbán s regime, and develop transformative praxis through differences.

The article begins by recognizing that the Administrative Process in Peru is full jurisdiction, protects the legal situations in addition to control the legality of the administrative acts. Then the author examines the Tax Administration, specifically if SUNAT has active legitimacy to sue in a Contentious Administrative Process against the decision issued by the Tax Court that revoked or annulled their administrative acts, concluding that it does not have legitimacy but, exceptionally, according to article 157 of the Tax Code, can sue when SUNAT demonstrates that RTFs are not according to the parameters of article 10 of the General Administrative Procedure Act, confirming that the causal most used by SUNAT are those of the numeral 1 and 2, referred to the resolutions which cause serious disability vice, which, according to the author, is not the same as a different interpretative approach. Finally, the author concludes that for tax issues does not apply the second paragraph of Article 13 of the Law on Administrative Process; apply the article 157 of the Tax Code, as the special rule. / El presente artículo parte por reconocer que el proceso contencioso administrativo en el Perú es de plena jurisdicción, esto es, que protege las situaciones jurídicas de los administrados además de la legalidad del acto administrativo.Así, se lleva a cabo un análisis sobre la legitimidad activa de la Administración Tributaria, específicamente la SUNAT, para interponer una demanda contencioso administrativa contra la Resolución emitida por el Tribunal Fiscal (RTF) que revocó o anuló su acto administrativo concluyendo que no la tiene pero que, excepcionalmente, de acuerdo al artículo 157° del Código Tributario, podría demandar cuando demuestre fehacientemente que la RTF es nula de acuerdo a los parámetros del artículo 10° de la Ley del Procedimiento Administrativo General (LPAG), constatándose que las causales más utilizadas por la SUNAT son las del numeral 1 y 2 de dicha norma, referidas a aquellas resoluciones que tengan un vicio grave de invalidez, lo que, según la autora, no es lo mismo que un distinto criterio interpretativo. Por último, se señala que en relación a los temas tributarios no resulta aplicable el segundo párrafo del artículo 13º de la Ley del Proceso Contencioso Administrativo si no el referido artículo 157° del Código Tributario, al ser la norma especial.
