Beauchemin, Jeanne 10 1900 (has links)
This research examines the impacts of border enforcement on child asylum seekers in Canada. We critically analyze border enforcement in Canada through a case study of the Laval Immigration Holding Centre, where hundreds of minor asylum seekers are detained each year with their families. Detention is part of a security logic that is both administrative and repressive, as it is the result of a growing association between migration and criminality. This has resulted in an overall increase in the number of migrants in detention, including children. We argue that the Canada Border Services Agency is avoiding responsibility for the imprisonment of child asylum seekers by allowing parents in detention to leave their children in the hands of third-party agencies, such as the Director of Youth Protection. Through this research, we focus on various strategies that aim to seal Canadian borders against the arrival of potential threats through a combination of defensive and preventive measures that complicate the journey of these vulnerable individuals. Through data collected from 14 semi-structured interviews with actors working in the field of migration, we seek to integrate a range of experiences and perceptions about the detention of child asylum seekers in Canada. Using a multi-scalar approach, we highlight the importance of exploring human mobility at multiple levels and developing an understanding of the interdependence of immigration regimes at global, national, provincial and local levels. This research provides an understanding of the spatial practices of government institutions in dealing with the irregular arrival of asylum-seeking families and their detention. We address the impacts of border outsourcing, securitization, and detention on underage migrants, which aim at removing unwanted migrants from the country's physical borders. These strategies prevent children from accessing specific protection and demonstrate how border policies and security logics prevail over human rights, reflecting a restrictive and punitive border regime towards certain types of migrants. Although, according to international and national law, child asylum seekers should be considered as children first, in practice they are increasingly treated as migrants who should be kept apart.

Pohledávky z právního, účetního a daňového pohledu v podmínkách ČR / The debts from a law, accounting and tax aspekt in a conditions of the Czech republic

RADOŠOVSKÁ, Šárka January 2008 (has links)
From an economic point of view the claims mean a capital part of a company. They are a special part of intangible property and a treatment with them mean very complicated juristic, accounting and tax probems. The claim means a reason of creditor to urge to debitor a charge of definite engagement. Ever business subject can secure the discharge of the engagement by the help of a security instrument, for example of an advance, a right of lien, a penalty, a liability etc. When the claim will become after all these precautions the overdue claim, the creditor must face up to costs of their recovery, for example by the help of a forfaiting, a factoring, a eviction recovery, a bilateral cleaning of claims etc. The overdue claims we can depreciace or create discretionary entries on them under the rule of law or of bylaw. The company should realize all these facts and keep a general and consistent register of claims. The register is an objectives of this work.

Reliabilitets- och validitetstestning av ADL-instrument RAINBOW - ett teamdokument / Reliability- and validity test of ADL-instrument RAINBOW - a teamdocument

Ahl, Gullan January 1998 (has links)
40 patienter deltog i studien. Att säkerställa ett begränsat material för mindre aktörer : En fallstudie på KG List / To secure limited material for smaller enterprises : A case study on KG List

Olsen, Oskar, Strandberg, Axel January 2024 (has links)
Course: Degree project in Supply Chain Management, Master of science within business and economics, 30 credits Title: To secure limited material for smaller enterprises - A case study on KG ListAuthors: Oskar Olsen &amp; Axel StrandbergSupervisor: Åsa GustavssonExaminator: Peter Berling Background: In an increasingly competitive business market, the sourcing process needs to be optimized to gain advantages over competitors. Companies using limited resources suffer from not being able to secure material in different ways. Being a small enterprise also gives additional negative consequential effects. To be able to decrease the effects, working methods with solutions and key performance indicators need to be found. Smaller enterprises in the wood industry have been identified as actors suffering from the consequential effects. Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to identify negative consequential effects experienced by smaller enterprises regarding the securing of limited resources. In addition, the aim is to describe a working method with solutions and associated key performance indicators to counteract the consequential effects regarding the securing of limited resources. Research questions: RQ1: What consequences do smaller enterprises experience when securing limited material?RQ2: What solutions and key performance indicators can be applied to counteract identified consequential effects when securing limited material for smaller enterprises?Method: The paper uses a deductive approach while applying a qualitative research method with elements of quantitative data. The primary empirical data was collected by unstructured and semistructured interviews, observations and the in-depth method focus-group interviews. Results: The study shows multiple consequential effects of not being able to secure limited resources as a smaller enterprise. The three major findings were: uncertainty in supply, decreased purchasing power due to being a smaller enterprise in the industry, and being forced to import materials. The study finds working methods with solutions and associated key performance indicators to counteract each effect. With supply chain resilience the effects of uncertainty in supply decreases. The purchasing power could increase by developing supplier relationships or increase the purchase price. By outsourcing a part of or the whole production process the effects of being forced to import could be counteracted. The key performance indicators for each solution needs to be developed individually for every company and should focus on critical moments related to the consequential effects.   Keywords: Limited resources, smaller enterprises, securing resources, consequential effects, solutions, key performance indicators, KPI, sourcingprocess, purchasing power, resilience, supply chain, supplier relationships, outsourcing, supplier pool, the wood industry, oak, oak log
