A research on the matching rate of foreign health caring labors - take K international labor agency for exampleLin, I-chi 31 July 2012 (has links)
According to the lower birth rate and more mature demographic structure, our society is facing the problem about aging of population. The market need for long term care is getting more and more obvious in recent years, and especially the atmosphere to hire the foreign care assistant is quite common and widely-spread in Taiwan. Also by viewing the statistic survey, it is pretty obvious to know that the number about foreign worker who were imported into Taiwan is increasing year by year in a quite significant way. However the processes and paper work are with great complicated, so most of the people who have the demand of foreign care assistant will tend to apply through the international humanity agency. Then the original motive of our research is from the prospect of the agency to elevate its value of their service. Therefore at the very beginning we will focus on the related factors which influence the rate of match, and then we will go deeper to explore the more specific cause which has the relevant connection with the foreign workers¡¦ job satisfaction. In addition, we conclude that there were two significant dimensions which might influence the job satisfaction, and then they are the relationship between employer and employee, and the other dimension is about the qualification of the workers to meet the requirement and the characteristic of caring job.
This thesis will utilize some questionnaires which include: performance, job satisfaction, leader-member exchange relationship, empathy, hardness and social personality. This Research used the foreign health care assistants working in Taiwan from Indonesia as samples to do the actual research. We gave out 100 questionnaires in total, and collected 93 effective. And we used SPSS statistic software to analyses the relation between every parameter. The result of study is found as follows:
1. The match rate will be demonstrated by the performance which received by the employer.
2. The Job satisfaction will influence the performance as care assistants.
3. The Job satisfaction will be influenced by the leader-member exchange relationship, empathy and social personality tendency.

Designing and testing a risk regulation intervention to increase relationship initiation among individuals with lower self-esteemHole, Christine 20 January 2011 (has links)
Social risk elicits an internal struggle between wanting to form significant relationships (i.e., connectedness goals) and avoiding rejection (i.e., self-protection goals). The current research tested an intervention designed to reduce perceptions of risk for low self-esteem individuals (LSEs). However, the intervention did not function as anticipated and regardless of self-esteem level, participants reported lower perceived acceptance and lower state self-esteem in the intervention condition compared to the control. In a post-session two weeks following the manipulation, high self-esteem individuals (HSEs) in the intervention appear to not only recover, but actually reported significantly more perceived regard and global self-esteem than HSEs in the control. A second study investigated the impact of the intervention in light of these surprising findings. Results suggest that viewing the intervention video in a socially risky situation caused both HSEs and LSEs to experience social threat. In contrast, the control video actually served to reduce social risk.

TMPRSS9 and GRIN2B Are Associated With Neuroticism: A Genome-Wide Association Study in a European SampleAragam, Nagesh, Wang, KeSheng, Anderson, James L., Liu, Xuefeng 01 June 2013 (has links)
Major depression disorder (MDD) is a complex and chronic disease that ranks fourth as cause of disability worldwide. About 14 million adults in the USA are believed to have MDD, and an estimated 75 % attempt suicide making MDD a major public health problem. Neuroticism has been recognized as an endophenotype of MDD; however, few genome-wide association (GWA) analyses of neuroticism as a quantitative trait have been reported to date. The aim of this study is to identify genome-wide genetic variants affecting neuroticism using a European sample. A linear regression model was used to analyze the association with neuroticism as a continuous trait in the Netherlands Study of Depression and Anxiety and Netherlands Twin Registry population-based sample of 2,748 individuals with Perlegen 600K single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). In addition, the neuroticism-associated genes/loci of the top 20 SNPs (p < 10-4) were examined with anti-social personality disorder (ASPD) in an Australian twin family study. Through GWA analysis, 32 neuroticism-associated SNPs (p < 10-4) were identified. The most significant association was observed with SNP rs4806846 within the TMPRSS9 gene (p = 7.79 × 10-6) at 19p13.3. The next best signal was in GRIN2B gene (rs220549, p = 1.05 × 10-5) at 12p12. In addition, several SNPs within GRIN2B showed borderline associations with ASPD in the Australian sample. In conclusion, these results provide a possible genetic basis for the association with neuroticism. Our findings provide a basis for replication in other populations to elucidate the potential role of these genetic variants in neuroticism and MDD along with a possible relationship between ASPD and neuroticism.

The role of Oxytocin in the physiology of social behavior : interaction with serotonin and its implication for autismMottolese, Raphaëlle 10 September 2013 (has links)
In the past decade, there has been a growing interest for oxytocin (OXT) and its implication in social behavior. In the first section of this work we show that peripheral and central concentrations of OXT are correlated. Peripheral and central OXT are also correlated with subjects’ extraversion and with the volume of amygdala and hippocampus, two brain regions important for the regulation of social behavior. Interestingly, we show that OXT intake increases the subjective perception of subjects’ sociability. These findings suggest that OXT can be considered a biomarker of social behavior, thus opening the possibility of using this hormone in the screening process of psychiatric disorder like Autism. In a second section, we focused on the central action of OXT and in particular its interaction with another neurotransmitter also essential for social behavior: the serotonin (5-HT). We assessed OXT effect on the central serotoninergic activity in healthy subjects using the Positon Emission Tomography (PET) thanks to a radiotracer ([18-F]MPPF) specific for the 5-HT1A receptors and known to be localised in brain regions important for social processing. Our results show that oxytocin administration increases MPPF binding potential (BP) in raphe nuclei, right amygdala, hippocampus and orbitofrontal cortex. Interestingly, Asperger patients showed a decrease in MPPF BP in these regions compared to controls. This difference disappeared after oxytocin. These results strengthen the role of oxytocin in social behavior and underline the therapeutic potential of this neuromodulator for psychiatric disorders implicating both serotonin and oxytocin dysfunctions

Anatomia social de um crime em família - estudo psicossocial sobre a dialética dos discursos e representações sobre família, afetos, homens e mortes / Anatomy of a social crime in the family: psychosocial study on the dialectis of discourses and representations about family affections, human and deathsSandra Maria Patricio Ribeiro 28 August 2001 (has links)
This present study considers the police, legal, psychiatric and journalistic speeches about a young man who is the author of a quintuplet family homicide (patricide-matricide-fraticide). The dossier about the case, and three explanations else for the violent behaviour from the psy area, were analysed from the archaeological, genealogical and ethical foucaultian considering to clear up the cause and way these speeches were constructed. The study has allowed to show up the different social resort to join forces to forging a representation of the murderer with the stablished model of psychopath - no remorses, the incapacity for empathy, coolness affection and moral insensibility; it is also to show that productions of the psy area are suitable for giving scientific endorsement to the social agreement that show the murderer as evil beings who are owners a such of biological aberrations that make them incapable of developing the affecting and morality and to sentence them to criminal violent actions. All these observations were talked about by the point of view of the contemporany society contradictions and they let to glimpse part of that are hided by those speeches: the systematic order of social economical relations indulgences itself of criticism when it sends the determinations of irrational and violent behaviour to the biological area. As conclusion, it shows the necessity to deduce to the psy science the obligation to knowing and denouncing the interference between individual and collective plans in all human behaviour - the most of irrational and violent crimes commited by a man hides traces of irrationality and violence of social system that involves it. The capacity of see the traces is the conditions to be able to change them.
