Singularidade e resistência : um estudo sobre os processos de constituição do educador na greve do magistério público estadual de 2015 /

Souza, Ítalo Matheus Maligere de January 2019 (has links)
Abstract: This paper analyzes some marks of possible singularization processes that occurred in teachers who joined the strike of the São Paulo state public teaching profession in 2015. We understand the strike as a collective movement of resistance against state impositions regarding public education, the School and the role of the teacher. The atmosphere of conflict was verified through the narratives created about the event by the two sides involved: São Paulo State Government - through the newspaper Folha de São Paulo - and teachers' union (APEOESP) - through the newsletters. The divergence over education is due to the ideological divergence that guides the government or union action. In this sense, there is a concern at work in understanding how the advance of neoliberalism in politics relates to the union and education. Finally, at the end of the research it was the result of conversations we had with 4 striking teachers from the city of Limeira-SP. From the dialogue they exposed their career in teaching, their experiences in the union and their impressions of the 2015 strike. / Mestre

Labors who are the weak group in modern capital society offer services for rewards. In order to establish a base of equal opportunity, labors often rise up and organize their own unions which exercise following the nation¡¦s laws. In light of the cooperative game-theory approach, the labors negotiate and coordinate with their employers to improve the operational environment and treatment. Under the situation of un-cooperative game-theory, however, the labors leverage conflicts and disputes between themselves and their employers by means of disagreement. This will usually cause the labor front to further conduct strike to naturalize the employers¡¦ economic operations; force them to join the negotiation in order to change operational environment and treatment based on the labors¡¦ intents. From 1999 through 2006, the Taiwan Airport Service Kaohsiung Company Labor¡¦s Union (TSKU) called up and three conferences of general assemblies. Labors voted to conduct strikes to express their discontent against the unlawful decision made by the employer authority in terms of unilaterally publishing the ¡§Payment Improvement Initiatives.¡¨ The purpose of this presentation is to study and review the case of TSKU regarding the approaches and strategies maneuvered by the TSKU leadership during the eight year period of time.

Counter-strike – den nya sporten

Westerholm, Joel January 2006 (has links)

This practicum paper looks at the work of contemporary artists: Char Davies, Jen Southern, Wolfgang Laib, Pierre Huyghe and Max Neuhaus. From examining the artists ideas on perception many links and ideas are drawn out. From this examination the author plays with the idea of perception and the training of the senses. Sound becomes an important element. In the end the author designs a strike walk. The strike walk is focused on the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919. / October 2008

An Analytic Approach to Approximate Pricing of Forward-starting Asian Options

Chang, Szu-Ying 12 July 2012 (has links)
An Asian option is a path-dependent option whose payoff depends on the average of the underlying asset price over a certain time interval. It can be European or American. The time interval can be the entire interval of the option's life from the initiation to the expiration, or beginning from some time later than the initiation until the option's expiration. The average can be arithmetic or geometric. This paper derives a closed-form solution for the valuation of European Geometric average fixed strike Asian call option and a closed-form solution for the valuation of a forward-starting Asian call option with arithmetic average floating strike. The valuation formula is obtained by relying upon a slight linear approximation. And the valuation formula of Asian call option with arithmetic average floating strike we have derived is different from that of L. Bouaziz, E. Briys and M. Crouhy (1994). We believe that our argument here is correct, and theirs is wrong.

Temporal variations in slip-rate along the Lone Mountain fault, Western Nevada

Hoeft, Jeffrey Simon 08 April 2010 (has links)
Late Pleistocene displacement along the Lone Mountain fault suggests the Silver Peak-Lone Mountain (SPLM) extensional complex is an important structure in accommodating and transferring strain within the eastern California shear zone (ECSZ) and Walker Lane. Using geologic and geomorphic mapping, differential global positioning system surveys, and terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide (TCN) geochronology, we determined rates of extension across the Lone Mountain fault in western Nevada. The Lone Mountain fault is the northeastern component of the SPLM extensional complex, and is characterized by a series of down-to-the-northwest normal faults that offset the northwestern Lone Mountain and Weepah Hills piedmonts. We mapped eight distinct alluvial fan deposits and dated three of the surfaces using ¹⁰BE TCN geochronology, yielding ages of 16.5 +/- 1.2 ka, 92.3 +/- 8.6 ka, and 142.2 +/- 19.5 ka for the Q3b, Q2c, and Q2b deposits, respectively. The ages were combined with scarp profile measurements across the displaced fans to obtain minimum rates of extension; the Q2b and Q2c surfaces yield an extension rate between 0.1 +/- 0.1 and 0.2 +/- 01 mm/yr and the Q3b surface yields a rate of 0.2 +/-.1 to 0.4 +/- 0.1 mm/yr, depending on the dip of the fault. Active extension on the Lone Mountain fault suggests that it helps partition strain off of the major strike-slip faults in the northern ECSZ and transfers deformation around the Mina Deflection northward into the Walker Lane. Combining our results with estimates from other faults accommodating dextral shear in the northern ECSZ reveals an apparent discrepancy between short- and long-term rates of strain accumulation and release. If strain rates have remained constant since the late Pleistocene, this could reflect transient strain accumulation, similar to the Mojave segment of the ECSZ. However, our data also suggest an increase in strain rates between ~92 ka and ~17 ka, and possibly to present day, which may also help explain the mismatch between long- and short-term rates of deformation in the region.
