Im Projekt wurden lösbare Verbindungstechniken für hochgefüllte Holz-Polymer-Werkstoffe für das statisch-dynamische Belastungskollektiv des Maschinenbaus erarbeitet. Im Fokus der Untersuchungen standen vorgespannte Schraubverbindungen in den konstruktiven Ausführungen als Durchsteckschraubverbindung und Einschraubverbindungen. Die Direktverschraubung und die Quergewindebolzen-Steckschraubverbindung wurden aus technisch-wirtschaftlicher Sicht für den Werkstoff als Sonderverfahren der Einschraubverbindung favorisiert. Für die benannten Verschraubungsarten wurden Montageempfehlungen, Grenzlastbereiche und Einflussfaktoren der Verbindungen unter Berücksichtigung des Werkstoffes erarbeitet.
Abschließend wurden die erarbeiteten Kenntnisse zu lösbaren Verbindungstechniken auf einen Demonstrator in der Fördertechnik übertragen. / In the project removable connection methods for high filled wood polymer composites for static and dynamic loads were worked out.
The focuses of studies were pre-stressed screw connections in a constructive style as push-through screw connection and screw in connection. On the basis of the material and the technical-economic reasons the 'direct-screw-connection' and 'cross-threaded bolt plug-in screw connection' were favored as a special method of the screw-in connection. Installation recommendations, limit load ranges and influencing factors of the connections based on the material were compiled for the named types of bolting.
Finally the compiled knowledges of the removable connections were transferred into demonstrator for conveying systems.

Byggsektorn tenderar idag att välja material med låg miljöpåverkan och bygga energi- och tidseffektiva konstruktioner. Att öka användningen av träprodukter är en del av lösningen. Korslimmat trä (KL-trä) är ett byggmaterial som har blivit mer och mer populärt att använda i byggbranschen. I Sverige har KL-trä använts sedan slutet på 90- talet och användandet ökar för varje år som går. Materialet är relativt nytt och vid monteringen av KL-trä finns det utrymme för förbättringar. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka och analysera hur dagens infästning av KL-element utförs och hur dessa kan effektiviseras. Målet är att undersöka om det går att korta ner monteringstiden av KL- trästommar. Detta görs genom beräkningar, fältstudie och experiment. I arbetet undersöks möjligheten att reducera skruvning för det vanligast använda vägg till golv anslutningarna och om det finns tid att spara i montaget med hjälp av förborrning. Resultatet av rapporten visar att det finns en potentiell tid motsvarande ca 40 % tidsvinst att spara med förborrade bjälklag från fabrik och andra kvalitétsfördelar som förborrning kan medföra, medan reducering av skruv är möjligt men inte optimerad för dagens mest tillämpade infästningslösningar. / The construction sector today tends to choose material with a low environmental impact and build energy- and time-efficient structures. Increasing the use of wood products is part of the solution. Cross laminated timber (CLT) is a building material that has become more and more popular to use in the construction industry. In Sweden, CLT has been used since the late 90 and its use is increasing every year. The material is relatively new and especially for mounting CLT element, there are still potentials for improvement. The purpose of the work is to investigate and analyze how todays attachment of CLT elements is carried out and how these can be made more efficient. The aim is to investigate whether it is possible to shorten the assembly time of CLT elements. The study was carried out through calculations, study visit and experiments. The work investigates the possibility of reducing screwing for the most commonly used wall to floor joints and showed there is a potential time efficiency of about 40% to be gained with pre-drilled floor element from the factory and other quality benefits that pre-drilling can bring, while the study also showed reducing fasteners under construction phase is possible but not an optimal solution.

Mobile systems for monitoring Parkinson's diseaseMemedi, Mevludin January 2014 (has links)
A challenge for the clinical management of Parkinson's disease (PD) is the large within- and between-patient variability in symptom profiles as well as the emergence of motor complications which represent a significant source of disability in patients. This thesis deals with the development and evaluation of methods and systems for supporting the management of PD by using repeated measures, consisting of subjective assessments of symptoms and objective assessments of motor function through fine motor tests (spirography and tapping), collected by means of a telemetry touch screen device. One aim of the thesis was to develop methods for objective quantification and analysis of the severity of motor impairments being represented in spiral drawings and tapping results. This was accomplished by first quantifying the digitized movement data with time series analysis and then using them in data-driven modelling for automating the process of assessment of symptom severity. The objective measures were then analysed with respect to subjective assessments of motor conditions. Another aim was to develop a method for providing comparable information content as clinical rating scales by combining subjective and objective measures into composite scores, using time series analysis and data driven methods. The scores represent six symptom dimensions and an overall test score for reflecting the global health condition of the patient. In addition, the thesis presents the development of a web-based system for providing a visual representation of symptoms over time allowing clinicians to remotely monitor the symptom profiles of their patients. The quality of the methods was assessed by reporting different metrics of validity, reliability and sensitivity to treatment interventions and natural PD progression over time. Results from two studies demonstrated that the methods developed for the fine motor tests had good metrics indicating that they are appropriate to quantitatively and objectively assess the severity of motor impairments of PD patients. The fine motor tests captured different symptoms; spiral drawing impairment and tapping accuracy related to dyskinesias (involuntary movements) whereas tapping speed related to bradykinesia (slowness of movements). A longitudinal data analysis indicated that the six symptom dimensions and the overall test score contained important elements of information of the clinical scales and can be used to measure effects of PD treatment interventions and disease progression. A usability evaluation of the web-based system showed that the information presented in the system was comparable to qualitative clinical observations and the system was recognized as a tool that will assist in the management of patients.

Phénomène proche de la criminalité organisée et pourtant toujours mal défini, délinquance atypique aux caractères spécifiques, elle demeure un espace où seuls quelques initiés parviennent à déjouer les malversations commises par des criminels précurseurs quant à leur modes opératoires. Gangrène du système socio-économique, elle tend à être appréhendée aujourd’hui dans l’hexagone, mais les réformes successives et novatrices ne sont pas synonymes d’une répression adaptée. Si le système judiciaire s’est doté de dispositifs de lutte fondés sur la spécialisation de plusieurs juridictions pénales, l’enquête judiciaire, berceau de toute répression, demeure majoritairement soumise aux règles de procédures du droit commun. Comme l’attestent les retours d’expériences, à une criminalité d’exception s’opposent des pouvoirs d’investigations basiques pourtant susceptibles d’être améliorés par l’adaptation de dispositifs éprouvés. / Twenty billions : that is the cost of financial and economic crime in France. This is close to organised crime, but it still remains an ill-defined phenomenon, an atypical delinquency with specific features, an area where only few initiate persons succeed in twarthing misbehaviours committed by pioneer criminals in regard to the modus operandi they use. Financial and economic crime plagues the social and economic system, and although this tends to be contained in France, successive and innovative reforms haven’t ensured a more appropriate criminal justice response. Judicial system has been provided with specialized penal courts, but judicial inquiry, the cradle of fight against crime, still remains subject to ordinary criminal procedural rules. As feedbacks show, basic investigation powers contrast with exceptional delinquency, whereas they could be improved by the adaptation of the tested investigation devices.

Thermal Characterization of Heated Microcantilevers and a Study on Near-Field RadiationPark, Keunhan 05 April 2007 (has links)
Recently, remarkable advances have been made in the understanding of micro/nanoscale energy transport, opening new opportunities in various areas such as thermal management, data storage, and energy conversion. This dissertation focuses on thermally-sensed nanotopography using a heated silicon microcantilever and near-field thermophotovoltaic (TPV) energy conversion system.
A heated microcantilever is a functionalized atomic force microscope (AFM) cantilever that has a small resistive heater integrated at the free end. Besides its capability of increasing the heater temperature over 1,000 K, the resistance of a heated cantilever is a very sensitive function of temperature, suggesting that the heated cantilever can be used as a highly sensitive thermal metrology tool. The first part of the dissertation discusses the thermal characterization of the heated microcantilever for its usage as a thermal sensor in various conditions. Particularly, the use of heated cantilevers for tapping-mode topography imaging will be presented, along with the recent experimental results on the thermal interaction between the cantilever and substrate.
In the second part of the dissertation, the so-called near-field TPV device is introduced. This new type of energy conversion system utilizes the significant enhancement of radiative energy transport due to photon tunneling and surface polaritons. Investigation of surface and bulk polaritons in a multilayered structure reveals that radiative properties are significantly affected by polariton excitations. The dissertation then addresses the rigorous performance analysis of the near-field TPV system and a novel design of a near-field TPV device.
