Subsolos portenhos : o intertexto Arlt-Dostoiévski

Ribeiro, Vitor Alexandre January 2007 (has links)
This work deals with the interplay of contexts involved in the Arlt-Dostoevsky intertext. It asserts that, behind the intertextual space, there is a clash and an interrelation of contexts through literary representation and modeling, where the literary representation of a context a mediate and structure the interpretation and the fictionalization of a given receptive context b. In this consists the concept of intercontextualization, which lays the basis for this study on the Arlt-Dostoevsky intertext. In the case of Arlt’s transtextualization of Dostoevskyan fiction, the literary-archetypal constitution is of fundamental importance. Therefore, the underground archetype is investigated as the representational instance of clandestine, subversive and noncanonical traditions. These traditions – which I call underground traditions –, mediated through the Dostoevskyan fictional material, represent to Arlt a global and wide alternative to the criollo tradition as fabricated by the Argentinean elite as a cultural support for their political agenda. I do not intend here to present an in-depth historical analysis of the specific contextual elements connected to each of texts in dialog. Instead, I propose to set the theoretical principles to the intercontextual reading of the literary archetypes and their role in the process of reception-creation.

The municipality has its origins in the cattle ranchers and dealers in salt and charque, in the XVIIIth century, who settled in the region. They founded Arraial dos Couros and inaugurated agricultural norms that persist today as activity developed in the field. Locally, livestock are raised from different breeds and purposes from the peasant way of production to grand capitalist property. In these same territories, which make up a diverse agrarian space, there are traditional folias de roça: festivals that have been celebrated in the region since the days of its first occupants. The research aims to analyze how these festivals—that integrate the way of life and daily life of the peasantry—contribute to the culture as a form of peasant resistance. Bibliographic survey and data collection were methodologies that accompanied the development of this study. The participative research with unstructured interviews was adopted when we participated in the giro of two folias de roça that represent the sacred Divine Holy Spirit of Catholics in the municipality: Folia da Roça de Formosa and Folia do Quilombo. In the field, there were integrations with the feasts and their participants, accompanying the rhythms and the religiosity, trying to understand the importance of the culture and the territory for the local peasantry. In this research we show that the culture, based on the cultural manifestations of the folia de roça, is allied to socio-cultural and socioeconomic factors, strengthening the peasant territorial identity in Formosa / GO, and contributing to the affirmation and resistance of the peasants in their territories against territorial modernization. In society and in the capitalist system, peasants use many means to conquer, secure, and remain on the land.

Atlikus apklausą atrastas naujas paprotys-Dievo Gailestingumo kultas. / One of Lithuania Catholic church practices of devoutness- calvarias. Calvarias Roads of The Cross are the one of objects of European Catholic religijon history, ethnology and ethnomusicology scien ces. The work is new and original not only because of it‘s theme which was researched for the first time. Verkiai Calvaries have been established in 17th century. The Calvaries were completed in 1669 by the supervision of Dominican monks. They have been constructed exactly following the plan of Jerusalem, with the distances, water bodies and elevations being very close to the original. New chapels were constructed in the 18th century in Baroque style. Verkiai Way of the Cross consists of 22 chapels, 7 wooden and brick gates, and two church ensembles. Almost all stations were completely destroyed in 1962 under the Soviet rule. After regaining the independence the reconstruction was started. Last chapels were rebuilt in 2004. Today the entire complex is reconstructed and is proclaimed an architectural monument of national significance. Vilnius Calvary still today attracts multitudes of pilgrims from all over Lithuania on Pentecost. In 1990, after Lithuania regained her state independence, the restoring of the dynamited by the Soviet authorities Stations of Vilnius Calvary started. The tradition of indulgenced feast of Pentecost was renewed. In 2002, the Cardinal Audrys Juozas Bačkis consecrated all the rebuilt Stations of the Cross.

Fjällfolk : livsformer och kulturprocesser i Tärna socken under 1800- och 1900-talen / People in the mountains : life forms and cultural processes in the Swedish parish of Tärna in the 19th and 20th centuries

Moritz, Per January 1990 (has links)
The aim of this study is to investigate life forms and the dynamics of cultural processes in the parish of Tärna, Västerbotten. The material is an investigation of the life stories of two families, which have been investigated from an overall scientific aspect. The aim has been to examine the exploitation of resources by individuals and cognitive structures within the framework of ecological adaption. These aspects have been illuminated by the use of comprehensive source materials. Estate inventories have revealed different object categories which were associated with the exploitation of natural resources. Church registers, judgement books, tape recordings from folklore archives and the author's own interview material described life stories in a Saami mountain family and a settler family. It turned out that people in the mountains had supported themselves on a combination of stock-raising, hunting and fishing. Comprehensive socialized knowledge of the environment and its resources was a decisive factor for ecological adaption and survival. The settler family had a solid knowledge of various handicrafts. The Saami in Tärna have settled down at an early stage and abandoned their former nomadism. The Saamish family investigated had a strong sense of family identity and their living story-telling tradition strengthened their identity and became a uniting factor. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century innovations began to emerge in the mountain parish, which often came to revolutionize the whole life pattern. The process of cultural change in Tärna in the 20th century has been dramatic. It has included the development of technology, modernization and changing exploitation of resources. Through the investigation of the life stories of the two families a clear picture has emerged of the exploitation of resources and of values, i.e. the total life pattern. / digitalisering@umu

Undersökande arbetssätt i NO-undervisningen i grundskolans tidigare årskurser / Inquiry practises in primary science education

Johansson, Annie-Maj January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the use of inquiry-based approaches in primary school science. The aim is to investigate the goals and purposes that are constituted by the curriculum and by the teachers in interviews and through their teaching in the classroom. The results are used to develop conceptual tools that can be used by teachers’ in their work to support students’ learning of science when using an inquiry-based approach. The thesis is comprised of four papers. In paper one a comparative analysis is made of five Swedish national curricula for compulsory school regarding what students should learn about scientific inquiry. In paper two 20 teachers were interviewed about their own teaching using inquiry. Classroom interactions were filmed and analyzed in papers three and four, which examine how primary teachers use the various activities and purposes of the inquiry classroom to support learning progressions in science. The results of paper one show how the emphasis within and between the two goals of learning to carry out investigations and learning about the nature of science shifted and changed over time in the different curricula. Paper two describes the selective traditions and qualities that were emphasized in the teachers’ accounts of their own teaching. The results of papers three and four show how students need to be involved in the proximate and ultimate purposes of the teaching activities for progression to happen. The ultimate purposes are the scientific purposes for the lesson (as given by the teacher or by the curriculum), whereas the proximate purposes are the more student-centered purposes that through different activities should allow the students to relate their own experiences and language to the ultimate purpose. The results show the importance of proximate purposes working as ends-in-view in the sense of John Dewey, meaning that the students see the goal of the activity and that they are able to relate to their experiences and familiar language. /
At the time of the doctoral defense, the following papers were unpublished and had a status as follows: Paper 1: In press. Paper 2: Manuscript. Paper 4: Manuscript.
