Skilja mellan mänskligt och artificiellt skrivna texter : Experimentell undersökning av universitetslärares bedömningsförmåga samt självskattning gentemot verktyget ChatGPT / Distinguishing between human and artificially generated texts : Experimental survey of university teachers’ assessment ability and self-assessment of acceptance towards the tool ChatGPT.

Bakke, Angus, Ohlson, Sebastian January 2023 (has links)
Today the possibility exists to write text with chatbots, which is a form of artificial intelligence. One of the prominent chatbots is ChatGPT that has the capability to generate texts as an example. At universities, it is common to have examination tasks where students are required to write texts. It has therefore created the possibility for students to use ChatGPT as a tool which could be considered cheating. This study aims to research how well university teachers possess the capability of distinguishing texts written by students compared to ChatGPT. Furthermore, research about university teachers’ acceptance in the usage of ChatGPT as a tool both for university teachers and students. The method used was a survey that’s part experiment and questions about acceptance. The study had a total of 38 participants between 30-72 years old and the mean age being 49.3. The study consisted of 22 women, 14 men and 2 did not want to specify. Their task was to read and assess three texts. These texts were written by a student or ChatGPT. The results showed that university teachers could not identify if the author was a student or ChatGPT. There was only one text that university teachers could identify a difference between the two texts and distinguish who had written it. Factors according to the participants that seemed to distinguish if the text was written by ChatGPT were that it was well written and the placement of sources. There was no definite attitude towards or against the usage of ChatGPT, neither as a tool for teachers or students. Thus, the perceived usefulness (Performance expectancy, PE) was most important. The overall conclusion of this study was that teachers found it difficult to identify if the text was written by ChatGPT or a student.

Inställningen till digitala vårdcentraler : En kvalitativ intervjustudie kring vilka faktorer som påverkar yngre vuxnas acceptans av digitala vårdcentraler / Attitudes towards digital health centres : A qualitative interview study on the factors influencing younger adults' acceptance of digital health centres

Johansson, Rasmus, Lindquist, Martin January 2022 (has links)
Digital healthcare in Sweden is constantly evolving and consists of several modern technologies that can help the society. According to popular magazines and authorities, Sweden is facing a problem, the physical primary care in Sweden is overloaded and the society is struggling to keep up. Sweden aims to become the best in the world at using digital tools to develop healthcare, that e-health will flourish for both the society and the individual. When such large projects are started, it is important that there is an underlying acceptance by the society, is this project a good proposal or will it be pushed aside by the society. The aim of this study is to investigate younger adults' acceptance on e-health with a focus on the digital health centre. In order to answer this purpose through the survey, the study will outline the factors that influence younger adults' acceptance of digital health centers. The study was conducted using the theoretical framework UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) which is a model to measure acceptance. This framework has been the basis for analyzing the collected empirical data. The study has identified four factors that have an impact on the acceptance of the digital health centre. The four factors are experience, voluntariness, agility and efficiency and goal achievement.

Social Media Use by College Students and Teachers: An Application of UTAUT2

Huang, Xiangyun 01 January 2018 (has links)
Social media has been increasingly used in education to facilitate innovative instruction. Mainland Chinese people could not use popular social media platforms such as FacebookTM because the government blocked them. Little research studied social media use by Mainland Chinese students and teachers in the isolated network environment. This quantitative study utilized social constructivism, connectivism, and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) as the theoretical base. Research questions explored the influence of 6 UTAUT2 predictors on social media use intention and the influence of social media use intention on social media use behavior. The study used a convenience sample of 197 undergraduate students and 54 full-time faculty from 2 public science and technology universities in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, Mainland China. Survey data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple regression, multiple regression, and moderation analysis. The findings showed that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, and habit significantly influenced social media use intention, and social media use intention significantly influenced social media use behavior. Age moderated the relationship between facilitating conditions and social media use intention, and gender moderated the relationship between habit and social media use intention. The findings might be used to promote positive social change by providing insights of social media use by Chinese students and teachers for university administrators, government, and social media platform designers. Better understanding might facilitate adoption of social media in education and therefore improve teaching and learning for Mainland Chinese students.

Factors Affecting the Adoption of a Mobile Replenishment System: The case of Uni-President Vender

Chen, Yung-Yuan 16 July 2007 (has links)
In the ever-changing environment, the mobile business market is burgeoning nowadays. In order to extend their management to end users, most enterprises decide to adopt mobility.During adoption, the greatest challenge happens to employees who are forced to make use of mobile equipment. What will affect employees when they are to accept new technological equipment? What is the implication of management? How should enterprises assist their employees when introducing new technology? Against the backdrop, more emphasis should be put on the study of user acceptance in order to enhance the benefits of new systems. At present, studies and theories concerning information technology acceptance are mostly applied to personal computers and systems, but seldom to mobility. In the filed of technology acceptance, numerous theoretical models have been established; however, each model is different from one another in constructs, variables and factors. As a result, based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), this Study discusses those factors that influence mobile staffers of the case study about PDA mobile system and equipment adoption. By means of literature collection and sorting, this Study adopts questionnaires to inspect a total of 185 mobile staffers of the case study. Because this Studyhas included all mobile staffers of the case study, the findings will make great contributions toboth the case study and relevant industries. According to the findings, Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions prove to be major influential factors of Behavioral Intention, while Effort Expectancy is not directly related to Behavioral Intention. In the analysis of moderators, this Study finds out that experience, educational background and age of users have apparent moderating effects on various paths of the model. As for the implication of management, in order to strengthen mobile staffers¡¦ intention to use new systems and to increase system benefits, enterprises should first promote the usage of new systems, communicate with and encourage their employees when introducing new systems. Second, enterprises should better the quality and quantity of vocational trainings.Third, new systems should be equipped with functions which help mobile staffers improve their performance. Fourth, new systems should be easy to use and learn according to different designs for usage. In addition, mobile staffers should realize those benefits which new systems offer, and have more opportunities to practice using new systems. Therefore, mobile staffers can have higher perception of Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions concerning new systems. As for the analysis of moderators, this Study finds out that the variable of Social Influence has a strong indirect relationship to mobile staffers who are older, graduated from senior high school, or have worked for over 12 years. Hence, the management level should educate and encourage the above-mentioned staffers, in order to enhance their intention to use new systems.

Understanding the adoption of third-party online payment : An empirical study of user acceptance of Alipay in China

Lin, Rui, Xie, Junsheng January 2014 (has links)
With the development of online shopping, the number of third-party online payment systems increases. Alipay is a commonly used third-party online payment system among Chinese consumers. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors that affect the users’ acceptance of Alipay among Chinese B2C customers. This study adopts a deductive, theory testing approach. Based on the model of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), a research model and hypotheses were proposed. A survey study was performed with a quota sample of 300 Chinese online shopping consumers. Based on the responses, the hypotheses were tested through statistical analysis. Through testing the hypotheses, it was concluded that: “Social Influence”, “Effort expectancy” were the factors that most prominently could affect B2C user’s acceptance of Alipay. Hence, third-party online systems suppliers should focus on social marketing and increasing the ease of use of the systems to increase user acceptance. Other similar third-party online payment company could take those identified factors as reference in further user acceptance study, and the proposed research model in this study could also help in improving understanding of user acceptance in similar third-part online payment system.

A sports arena beyond the physical space : A study of visitors’ expectations to a virtual arena including crucial key factors for the user’s intention to visit a virtual arena

Lagergren, Ebba January 2021 (has links)
Development within digital and social media is redefining how spectators will experience sport in the future. In combination with a pandemic and a global climate crisis, it creates new demands on how sports arenas can generate visitors to their events. The aim of this study was therefore to gain an understanding of the visitor’s expectations on a virtual arena as well as to identify key factors that affect the consumer’s intention to visit a virtual arena. The study has a qualitative approach and empirical data has been collected through three structured focus groups. Unified Theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT 2) was used as a theoretical foundation and was extended with more elements through analysis and discussion, to better suit the current situation. The results of the study indicated that a virtual arena should contribute added value compared to a physical arena, through access to exclusive material and exclusive areas. Furthermore, it was concluded that expected opportunity for social interaction, expected improved information- and experience consumption and expected opportunity for personalized experience have an indirect impact on the visitor’s intention to use the virtual arena through hedonic motivation and performance expectancy. Effort expectancy proved to be a crucial factor which in turn is affected by accessibility, ease of use, and technical performance. Price value is shown to be a strong decisive factor. Finally, it is stated that interest in the sport is a new moderating factor with a direct impact on the user’s intention to visit the virtual arena.

E-kronans acceptans på den svenska betalmarknaden : En kvalitativ studie utifrån Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT)

Kullapa, Dan Johan, Holmström, Mattias January 2021 (has links)

Evaluation of Cryptocurrencies Adoption in Colombia via Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT)

Cabanzo Cadena, Jose Camilo January 2022 (has links)
During the last decade, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology has grown in  popularity as a viable alternative to conventional financial institutions and centralized  markets. In 2021, the crypto industry's total market capitalization increased by nearly  10000 percent since its creation, reaching a total market capitalization at around 2  trillion, and culminating in all-time high record peaks that stunned the entire financial  world. The study of this current subject was conducted in order to determine the key  factors that contributed to the sudden increase in the use of this emerging technology,  which is still perceived to be in its infancy at least. Since the study is targeted for only in  Colombian citizens, a general analysis of prior research on technological disruption of  the relationship between global investors and technology acceptance was conducted  to ensure an effective overview of this phenomena. Furthermore, a variety of  technological adoption models were analyzed in order to determine the most suitable  one for this study. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) was  explicitly adapted for the purposes of this thesis, since it was found to be the most  important and productive model for evaluating cryptocurrency adoption among  Colombian citizens. The study approach explores people's technology interaction habits,  which are then re-tested by a survey. Over the course of 4 days, were gathered 106  responses from crypto users and non-users using an online survey plus 154 using an  snowball data gathering method for a total of 260. Furthermore, ten Colombians users  who own cryptocurrencies were approached, and open-ended interviews were performed  again using the modified UTAUT model, which aimed to reach a better  understanding of the driving factors behind technological acceptance. Finally, additional  methods are suggested as the blockchain technology grows gaining great levels of  mainstream acceptance as the time passes. The final motivation of this research is to  provide a scientific analysis in order to help regulators in Colombia to assess the  projected forthcoming Crypto-Technology revolution

Adoption of online public grievance redressal system in India: Toward developing a unified view

Rana, Nripendra P., Dwivedi, Y.K., Williams, M.D., Weerakkody, Vishanth J.P. 2016 February 1916 (has links)
No / The aim of this research is to develop a unified model of electronic government (e-government) system adoption and validate it using the data gathered from 419 citizens from few selected cities in India. In course of doing so, the research also evaluates the performance of nine well-known alternative theoretical models of information technology (IT) adoption including the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The results indicate that the proposed unified model for e-government adoption by this research has outperformed all other theoretical models by explaining highest 66% variance on behavioral intentions, adequately acceptable levels of fit indices, and significant relationships between each hypothesis. The research also provides its limitations and presents implications for theory and practice toward the end.

A meta-analysis based modified unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (Meta-UTAUT): A review of emerging literature

Dwivedi, Y.K., Rana, Nripendra P., Tamilmani, Kuttimani, Raman, R. 19 March 2020 (has links)
Yes / Over the last more than four decades, several theoretical models have been developed to understand the acceptance and use of information systems. Realising the dilemma in selecting the appropriate theoretical model to assess the acceptance and use of technology and considering the pattern of using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), a modified version (meta-UTAUT) has been developed based on the synthesis of results from 162 existing studies. The aim of this article is to review the emerging literature on meta-UTAUT and offer some future research recommendations. The analysis suggests that studies have started citing the relationships suggested by meta-UTAUT and researchers have reviewed it alongside other alternative models while analysing acceptance and use of technology.
