However, in the third millennium s Brazil, the evangelic groups communication does not stand up to the Christian ideal, circumscribing itself to the gospel culture of the society of the spectacle . By means of the theological and historical inquiry of Christian communication, starting with the advent of the printing press, and of the Wesleyan heritage, based on a communicational perspective, together in dialogue with relevant authors for the transition to the twentieth-first century, according to the new technological order that introduced in the global community a virtual reality, our objective is to identify non-negotiable practices for a religious media that incarnates the public vocation of Methodism today.

The most important task, according to Catholic theology is {\clq}qreconciliation with himself, with others and with God.`` Practical research showed that the greatest sense of the suffering of seriously ill and dying brings benefit for surrounding people, specifically in the {\clq}qawareness of the price of life and health, their mortality, rearrange values`` Most preferred {\clq}qspiritual sense of suffering``, according to the public lies in the {\clq}qsacrifice of suffering on the intention``. Results of comparison mean for the pastoral work the challenge to help find seriously ill and dying people the mission in their suffering, specifically in their participation on the saving suffering of Christ. Another important task of the pastoral workers is to help society acquire a dignified view of man in suffering and have genuine compassion with him, expressed also by deeds of charity.

The Roman Catholic Church understands religious vocation (as in the case of priests, nuns and consecrated brothers) as a specific calling for only a few special men and women. This vocation is established by the existence of three binding vows: poverty, obedience, and chastity. Those who are called to this function are comprehended as special from God. However, Eugen Drewermann, on his work "God's Servants", renders problematic this ideal model. Through Depth Psychology he seeks to understand the unconscious psychological motives that lead a young person to look for religious vocation as a way of life. Proceeding from the author's statements, the purpose of this research is to examine some issues, like the reasons that lead a young person to look for priesthood on the Catholic Church as a way of life, what psychological aspects affect this choice, and how does it feel for someone who judges himself called, to verify his understanding about the three evangelical counsels and to consider proposals made to the Catholic Church in order to minimize the conflicts experienced by the “elected”.

Theopoetics : Kierkegaard and the vocation of the Christian creative artist

Tarassenko, Luke Ivan Thomas January 2016 (has links)
In this doctoral dissertation I examine the development of Kierkegaard's sense of vocation as a Christian creative artist by research into his journals and published works, as well as investigating how this was influenced by his scriptural hermeneutic. I then attempt to sketch some starting points for a theology of Christian creative artwork contextualised within modern theological aesthetics by drawing upon this examination. I argue that Kierkegaard began writing without documented reflection on his intentions and communicative methodology, but was nonetheless a religious author from the start of his career, as his text The Point of View for my Work as an Author later claimed. I trace how he began with a more "indirect" approach in his writing and gradually developed a theory of "indirect communication", though there were more "direct" elements present in his work from the beginning (the "first authorship"), yet as he continued in his authorial career he became ever more "direct" in his mode of communication (the "second authorship"), until it eventually became exclusively more "direct" religious writing (the "attack on Christendom"). I conclude that the most concise and complete formulation of Kierkegaard's mature conception of his task as a Christian artist becomes "to communicate Christianity in Christendom" in a more direct mode-to explain straightforwardly what authentic Christianity is in an age of cultural, purely nominal religion. I allow that this task is in some ways unique to his own historical situation but contend nonetheless that a consideration of it is profitable for contemporary theology because of the many different ways that he attempted to carry it out. In Kierkegaardian terms, and following on from resources in Kierkegaard and his use of scripture, I argue constructively from all of this that more "direct" communication is the more valuable form of communication to the Christian creative artist for theological reasons, but that more "indirect" communication can still be useful, in the task of communicating creatively through art.

[en] THE CALL OF JESUS TO THE RICH YOUNG RULER: AN EXEGETICAL COMMENTARY OF LC 18,18-23 / [pt] O CHAMADO DE JESUS AO RICO NOTÁVEL: COMENTÁRIO EXEGÉTICO DE LC 18,18-23

BRUNO GUIMARAES DE MIRANDA 18 August 2017 (has links)
[en] This survey sought to analyze the call of Jesus to the rich young ruler, as narrated in the Gospel according to Luke, and realize to what extent such an invite is not destinated only to the character in case, but can be extended to all those who approach Jesus recognizing in him the path to eternal life. It was concluded that the center of the call is not the accomplishment of the Commandments, and not even the distribution of the goods to the poor, but the follow of Jesus. As a consequence, this adhesion to Christ signifies the reception of eternal life as grace, and not as self achievement; besides, the one who accepts such call is incorporated to the church, the community of Jesus followers. In opposition to the frustrating hesitation of the rich young ruler, other cases of vocation and discipleship in Luke and Acts show how the acceptance of the call of Jesus was possible, and would be a source of lasting joy. The survey combined the historical-critical method with synchronic character methods, such as the rhetorical analysis.

Wandel des Berufsbildes und Berufszufriedenheit von Chrischoma Pastoren in der Schweiz / Changing job descriptions and job satisfaction among Chrischona pastors in Switzerland

Burghoff, Hartmut 11 1900 (has links)
Text in German and English / This MTh dissertation is about the meaning and change of the pastoral position and role as it is reflected in pastoral theological literature of the last thirty years. For this purpose different concepts of work satisfaction are described and applied to the pastoral context. Furthermore, results of empirical investigations among ministers in German speaking and various other countries are discussed and aspects of job satisfaction of pastors are presented. This is followed by an investigation of changing expectations regarding the pastoral role which affect the job satisfaction of a minister. A comparison of two church orders (1991 and 2003) from Chrischona Switzerland demonstrates the changing job descriptions of pastors within a freechurch denomination. The final chapter is a discussion of some pastoral theological consequences of the relation between changing job descriptions and job satisfaction. / Philosophy, Practical and Systematic Theology / M.Th. Profesní motivace a postoje ke vzdělávání žáků středních pedagogických škol v České republice / Secondary Pedagogical Schools Students Professional Motivation and Attitude to Education in the Czech Republic

Petrášová, Veronika January 2021 (has links)
(in english) The diploma thesis deals with professional motivation and attitude to the education of secondary school students. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is primarily focused on the issue of secondary education with emphasis on secondary vocational schools of pedagogy. Subsequently, this part defines the term "pedagogical worker" and the association with professional motivation and professional education. The aim of the research was to find out how students of secondary pedagogical schools assess their professional readiness and how their professional motivation changes during their studies. The data were obtained through a questionnaire survey that was given to students studying in the fields of preschool and extra-curricular pedagogy and pedagogical lyceum. The evaluation of the questionnaire survey found out the results that show predominantly the positive attitude of student's education provided by the schools within the study of pedagogy and their professional training. The results of the research show that the greatest importance for respondents is the ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills, which means that the students also evaluate their studies very positively. The students see the greatest income in the...

Employment specialists' competencies as predictors of employment outcomes.

Taylor, Amanda Christine 25 May 2010 (has links)
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / Employment specialist competencies were examined as predictors of employment outcomes for consumers with severe mental illness participating in supported employment. Using a cross-sectional correlational design a variety of self-report and supervisor-rated performance measures were examined for their association with three consumer employment outcomes (e.g., the percentage of consumers on an employment specialist's caseload that were competitively employed, the percentage of consumers on an employment specialist's caseload that were employed 90 consecutive days, and the rate in which consumers dropped out of employment services). Six mental health agencies with a total of 57 employment specialists and 14 supervisors from across the nation participated in the study. Competitive employment rates ranged among employment specialists from 0% to 80%. Higher supervisor-rated job performance, supervisor-rated employment specialist efficacy, percentage of work time spent in the community during the past month, and number of contacts with consumers during the past month were related to improved consumer employment outcomes. However, employment specialist attitudes, knowledge of supported employment, conscientiousness, and self-efficacy were unrelated to employment outcomes. This study is one of the first of its kind to examine employment specialist competencies as they relate to supported employment for consumers with severe mental illness. While supported employment is a great improvement over traditional vocational programs, further examination of employment specialist competencies could hold the key to unlocking employment success for many more consumers.
