2. Tinklininkų grupėje, praėjus 6 mėn. nuo tyrimo pradžios, geresniems staigiosios jėgos rezultatams, taikant šuolio į tolį pratimą, reikšmės turėjo amino rūgščių maisto papildų vartojimas, o rankininkų grupėje – kreatino maisto papildų vartojimas. Taikant šuolio aukštyn atsispiriant pratimą, geresniems tinklininkų rezultatams, praėjus 6 mėn. nuo tyrimo pradžios, reikšmės turėjo kreatino, o... The effects of two strength interventions on elite female volleyball players during an in-season training program

Robertson, Karl M. January 2002 (has links)
It is often difficult to optimize strength qualities in-season due to the conflicting influences of extensive skill practices combined with frequent game play of the competition schedule. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of two interventions on strength qualities and CMJ performance. Thirteen women volleyball players competing in NCAA Division I were tested before and after four weeks of an inseason strength training program with emphasis on heavy squatting (6-IORM), and then before and after three weeks of unloaded jump training. Dynamic squat strength, isometric squat strength, optimal power, CMJ, SJ and approach jump and reach were all tested before and after both cycles. There was a significant increase in both average 1RM squat strength (5%) and vertical jump (1%) following the strength cycle. Following the unloaded training, there was a significant increase in both peak power output (18%) and peak velocity (14%) in the CMJ. SJ performance significantly increased in both peak force (6%) and maximum height (10%). Throughout training, there were no decreases in maximal strength levels or post-test Vertec jump and reach. This study indicates that heavy squatting can improve vertical jump as well as 1RM squat despite a high volume in-season practice and competition schedule. Furthermore, unloaded training can improve the explosive qualities of athletes when used as a peaking cycle late in-season. Athletes maintained dynamic strength and jumping ability from pre-testing scores, while significantly increasing both peak velocity and power in the CMJ. / School of Physical Education

A Comparison of Two Plyometric Training Techniques

Benesh, Traci A. (Traci Ann) 08 1900 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to investigate two different plyometric training techniques for increasing vertical jumping ability. Twenty-four female high school volleyball players were matched for height and weight and distributed equally among three groups. Each subject performed a vertical jump test, Margaria power test, Wingate bicycle test, and an isokinetic leg strength test prior to and following six weeks of training. Plyometric training significantly (p<.05) improved vertical jumping ability and some indices of leg strength and power. Weighted plyometrics did not enhance performance more than plyometrics alone. These data support the view that plyometric training with or without added weights enhances vertical jumping and leg power.

Jaunųjų tinklininkių psichomotorinės reakcijos rodiklių vertinimo ir ugdymo galimybės per metinį treniruočių ciklą / Possibilities of establishing and developing psychomotoric factors of young women's volleyball players in one-year workout cycle

Vaštakaitė, Simona 16 May 2006 (has links)
The object of the study is young women's volleyball players' psychomotoric reaction. The work problem - the psychomotoric reaction changes in one-year workout cycle of young women's volleyball players - is being seen now as a rather new and almost unexplored both in theory and practice. The purpose of the work is to explore possibilities of establishing and developing psychomotoric factors of young women's volleyball players in one-year workout cycle. In order to solve this problem, the following tasks were set: · To explore motion velocity factors of young women's volleyball players right and left hands, depending on the complexity of exercises; · To compare specific features both of right and left hand psychomotoric reactions of the young women's volleyball players; · To evaluate changes in response time and motion velocity during one-year workout cycle. · To evaluate strategies of motion performance in respect of velocity. We have carried out a study with players from the Lithuanian young women's volleyball players' team who are preparing themselves for the European Volleyball Championship of the year 2007. In the first study, there were 17 members of the Lithuanian young women's volleyball players' team who participated in this research, and in the second study - 15 members. The age of young players ranges from 15 to 16 years. The average age of persons under the study (young women's volleyball players) during the first stage of the study is that of 15.58±0.12 years. Upper Body Posture and Pain in Division I Female Volleyball and Softball Athletes

Plunkett Castilla, Brittany M. 25 August 2015 (has links)
Participation in athletics is a popular pastime and form of entertainment. Children often begin to specialize in one sport at a young age in an effort to excel, which increases physical stress and the potential for injuries. Athletes participating in overhead sports are at increased risk of upper body chronic injuries, in part because the shoulder is an unstable hypermobile joint. Posture may also be affected in these athletes because of the demands placed on the upper body. The purpose of this study was to measure the upper body posture in a sample of Division I collegiate volleyball and softball athletes to investigate the prevalence of postural abnormalities and their relationship to pain or injury. Twenty-one Division I collegiate female athletes (seven volleyball; fourteen softball) who participated in their sport during the fall 2014 to spring 2015 seasons were studied. Athletes completed a pain and injury questionnaire, after which individual upper body posture measurements were made. Measurements included resting bilateral scapula position, head position, and shoulder position. An iPad mini camera was used with a commercial application (PostureCo, Inc.) to perform a photographic plumb line posture assessment with photographs taken in anterior, posterior, and lateral views. Posture analysis revealed a high prevalence (85.7 %) of forward head posture in this sample. Forward shoulder was noted in 42.9 % of the athletes and abnormal horizontal scapula position appeared to occur more frequently in the dominant arm (71.4 %) than in the non-dominant arm (47.6 %). Chi square tests determined that there was no statistically significant relationship between posture abnormalities and self-reported pain in this group of athletes. Results of this study -- although preliminary -- should be used to inform future research to investigate potential relationships between posture and pain/injury in overhead athletes.

Kayal, Kalle, Hallesson, Ida January 2022 (has links)
Metod: Metoden utformades och följde riktlinjerna enligt Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Sammanlagt inkluderades 5 studier i litteraturöversikten. Resultat: Totalt 5 artiklar inkluderades i denna studie.
