Občanská participace seniorů v kontextu Univerzity třetího věku / Civic participation of older people in the context of the University of the Third Age

Biláková, Kristýna January 2015 (has links)
The thesis "Civic participation of older people in the context of the University of the Third Age" focuses on the role of civic participation in the lives of active older people who attend the University of the Third Age. This role is examined in the context of adult education, specifically through a leisure education program, which is dedicated to educating older people, i.e. the University of the Third Age. From a demographic perspective, the elderly population will continue to grow. This will be unavoidably reflected in the development of civil society in which older people participate. This makes it relevant to pay older people as an active group more research attention. Qualitative data were collected via in-depth interviews. Attention was paid namely to the interviewees' attitudes to and experience of civic participation they have accumulated over their life course. The analysed respondents' accounts indicate that they understand participation as activities related to politics and as politically oriented activities. They attach the greatest importance to political participation. Formal participation also occurs, but the respondents do not stress this participation as they rather take it for granted.

Rozvoj a vzdělávání pracovníků sociálních podniků / Employee education and development in social enterprises

Skálová, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of development and education of Czech social enterprise employees and examines how these services are provided. The research set was made of enterprises listed in the Social Entrepreneurship Directory, which declare their social mission. In the form of a questionnaire survey, it was investigated how the educational process in the enterprise proceeds from the planning, design to implementation and subsequent evaluation of educational activities. The research results show that social enterprises educate their employees, but in most enterprises it is a relatively unsystematic process, with reserves mainly on the theoretical and methodological side, which is mainly hampered by lack of funds and lack of time space. However, in the jungle of social entrepreneurship, there are clear exceptions that, despite all the obstacles, provide their staff with quality education services and care for their development.

Nilén, Johanna January 2020 (has links)
In a constantly changing environment, high demands are placed on individuals, especially in knowledge-intensive companies. The study examines experiences and reasoning about responsibility and learning, in individuals working within a consulting business. To shed light on how a consultant looks at responsibility and lifelong learning, in a context of constant change. In the study, interviews were conducted with eight consultants at a consulting firm. The material was recorded, transcribed and was analyzed by coding and thematizing, first without a theory to find the naturally occurring voices. In a next step, themes were analyzed based on the concept of agile learning with four main factors: Mental Agility, Results Agility, People Agility and Change Agility. The result shows that there is a comprising sense of responsibility and clearly self-perceived responsibility for learning. With increased experience, the picture is nuanced and more often the individual sees that more responsibility lies with her, than with her surroundings. The four main themes that emerged were culture, co-creation, acknowledgement and self-reflection, which are clearly consistent with the factors of agile learning. The result shows that there seems to be a high ability for agile learning by consultants in a knowledge-intensive company, where everyday life means being able to adapt to constant change.

Lärandet under en utbytestermin och dess användbarhet senare i arbetslivet / Learning during exchange studies and the usage in ones working life

Haraldson, Sofia January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this master thesis is to gain knowledge and understanding concerning what exchange students learn during their exchange studies, in which way it has been useful in their work afterwards, and to analyze which kind of learning that has been most relevant in relation to exchange studies and working life. The theoretical framework included theories of lifelong and life wide learning (Jackson, 2011; Jarvis, 2007) which focuses on learning in different environments and ages and Jarvis (2004, 2007) view on formal, non-formal and informal learning. Sociocultural learning according to Säljö (2000) is also presented with focus on social and cultural interaction. The design of the study was qualitative and consisted of ten semi-structed interviews with former exchange students that are now working. Thematic analyze was used to present results for the two first questions and the theory mentioned above was used to analyze the last question regarding which sort of learning. The findings showed that students learn a lot by going abroad in terms of personal development. Related to language and academic learning outcome results variated between the participants. The former exchange students described confidence, meeting and communicating with colleagues as useful learning outcomes from studying abroad that they can now use in working life. The usage of language and academic knowledge in work were mixed. The results also showed that informal learning has been more relevant than formal learning in relation to what exchange students have learnt and found useful in their working life.
