No caso de Colóquio Letras, a dificuldade de acesso à obra camoniana e aos textos que facilitam o seu estudo e a sua interpretação, pelo alto custo e por ser impresso, disponível apenas em poucas localidades e no caso do hipertexto, pela mídia em que se insere, acessível em domicílio a apenas 8,6% da população brasileira, segundo o I.B.G.E (tabela de valores absolutos e relativos de 2001-2004), levaramnos a considerar que este estudo facilitará e colaborará, além de ser disponibilizado gratuitamente e estar presente em texto e hipertexto, para o estudo de Luís Vaz de Camões. Nossos objetivos finais são a catalogação e crítica dos textos da Colóquio Letras e seleção dos melhores websites sobre Camões, por meio de fichas catalográficas do programa Camões on-line. Para o primeiro tópico, as análises foram elaboradas de acordo com o texto ao qual se referem, visto que encontramos vários escritores, produzindo em décadas diferentes, inspirados por teorias distintas. Para o segundo, catalogar e indexar o conteúdo (hipertextual e textual), desenvolvendo uma tecnologia exclusiva para seu acesso e veiculação (website e programa Camões on-line); a partir deste conteúdo, traçar a recepção crítica de Camões, levando-se em consideração aspectos como ideário veiculado, teoria literária aplicada, abordagem do discurso, intertextualidade. Os escritores, cujas obras mais nos apoiaram teoricamente, foram Hernani Cidade, Jacinto do Prado Coelho, Carlos Reis, Antonio Freire, A.J. Saraiva e Oscar Lopes, para o primeiro e segundo capítulo e Pierre Lèvy ...(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This paper has as theme the critical fortune about Luís Vaz de Camões in the sections "Essays/Articles" and "Notes and Comments" of the Portuguese magazine Colóquio Letras (1971-2005) and from the websites, in Portuguese, about the same author. In relation to Colóquio Letras, the difficulty to access Camões’ essays and texts that facilitate its study and interpretation is due to the high cost of this magazine and, being printed, it is only available in few localities. In the case of hypertext, which is inserted in the media, it is accessible in residences for only 8.6 per cent of Brazilian population, according to IBGE" an important Brazilian agency responsible for statistics and geographical researches" (chart of absolute and relative values of 2001-2004). These facts lead us to consider that this study will facilitate and collaborate for the studies about Luís Vaz de Camões, beside the fact of being availed for free and being present in texts and hypertext. Our final objectives are the catalogue and criticism of the texts present in Colóquio Letras and the selection of the best websites about Camões, through index cards of the program Camões online. For this first topic, the analyses were elaborated according to the text which is referred to, once we have met many writers, producing in different decades, inspired by different theories. Then, for the second topic, we catalogued and indexed the (hyper textual and textual) contents, developing an exclusive technology for their access and transmission (website and the program Camões on-line). Orientador: Renata Soares Junqueira / Banca: Otávio Rios Portela / Banca: Márcia Regina Rodrigues / Resumo: A título de aprofundamento de trabalho realizado como Iniciação Científica com Bolsa concedida pela FAPESP, este Projeto de Pesquisa em Mestrado propõe uma leitura crítica da peça dramática O Gebo e a Sombra (1923), de autoria do escritor português Raul Brandão (1867-1930), considerando o estudo do teatro moderno português. Brandão é autor de uma obra literária de múltiplas virtualidades estéticas que lhe conferem uma modernidade singular. Daí a dificuldade de classificar esteticamente a obra desse autor. As várias perspectivas possíveis parecem, entretanto, marcadas por um denominador comum que, segundo a nossa hipótese, agrega em si, predominantemente, elementos estéticos próprios do Expressionismo. A produção dramatúrgica desse autor, pouco extensa e até hoje insuficientemente conhecida nos meios universitários brasileiros, revela-se, como pretendemos demonstrar pela análise textual, um dos mais distintos produtos do Expressionismo no teatro lusitano. / Abstract: With the purpose of deepening the realized work as Scientific Initiation with a scholarship conceded by FAPESP, this Mastership's research project proposes a critic reading of the dramatic piece Gebo and The Shadow (1923), written by the Portuguese author Raul Brandão (1867-1930), considering the study about modern Portuguese theater. Brandão is the author of a literary work of multiple esthetical virtualities that grant him a singular modernity. For this reason, there's a difficulty to classify aesthetically the author's oeuvre. The many possible perspectives seem, however, to be marked by a common denominator that, according to our hypothesis, aggregates to itself, predominantly, peculiar esthetical elements of Expressionism. The dramaturgical production of this author, which isn't extensive, is, until today, insufficiently known at Brazilian university milieu, and reveals itself, as we intend to demonstrate by textual analysis, one of the most distinct products of Portuguese expressionist theater. / Mestre

Faculty of Humanities School of Literature and language Studies 0314877y acostantino@yahoo.com / This research project aims to examine the relations of power evident in an English pamphlet (the source text) dealing with issues of sexual and reproductive health (including HIV/AIDS) in South Africa, and its Portuguese translation (the target text). A Critical Discourse Analysis model is used to study the articulated structure of the texts in social and historical terms as well as in linguistic terms. In carrying out such a critical examination of these pamphlets, which reflect institutional beliefs, I am guided by the fact that their conditions of production, distribution and consumption can reveal intricate power relations.

Pelo testemunho de contemporâneos, Fonseca é uma autoridade na prática dessa forma poemática com uma grande produção em fontes manuscritas. Essa forma poemática recebe o mesmo nome das línguas "vulgares", ligada a uma sensibilidade que chamaríamos hoje de 'popular'. Durante o século XVII, entretanto, essa sensibilidade 'popular' foi também apropriada por letrados, o que levou à diversificação do romance como receptáculo de tópicas e estruturas mais eruditas, tais como poemas de luto (endechas) ou a lírica amorosa relacionada à poesia de retrato. Procura-se aqui descrever essa prática seiscentista à luz dessa relação entre a elocução e invenção vulgar e sua apropriação por letrados como Antônio da Fonseca Soares, configurando um "decoro vulgar". Para o estudo dessa prática, em primeiro lugar, apontam-se alguns pressupostos metodológicos, como as noções de autoria e atribuição na cultura manuscrita seiscentista. Coube examinar, ainda, um aspecto relacionado à oralidade, que trabalha a sonoridade do verso e variação estrófica e a relação com expressões populares. Além disso, procurou-se compreender aspectos do decoro vulgar fonsequiano, em dois aspectos, um, que é uma manifestação engenhosa, que trabalha o conceito em construções or- nadas e, o segundo, uma ... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The Portuguese poet Antônio de Fonseca Soares (1631-1682), also known as Frei Antônio das Chagas, became famous for his practice of romances, poems constituted by assonant quatrains (redondilhas maiores) with varied themes. According to the testimony of his contemporaries, Fonseca is an authority in the practice of this form with a multitudinous production found in manuscripts. This poetic form receives the same name from the vulgar languages, linked to a sensitivity that we would call "popular" today. During the seventeenth century, however, this 'popular' sensibility was also appropriated by learned men, which led to the diversification of the romance as a receptacle of topical and erudite structures, such as poems of mourning (endechas) or amorous lyric related to the poetry of portrait. It is sought here to describe this seventeenthcentury practice in the light of this relationship between elocution and vulgar invention and its appropriation by literates like Antônio da Fonseca Soares, configuring a "vulgar decorum". For the study of that practice, in the first place, it is important to point out some methodological assumptions, such as the notions of authorship and attribution in the seventeenth century manuscript culture. One should also examine an aspect related to orality, which is related to the poem's sonority and strophic variation and the relation as popular expressions. In addition, an attempt was made to understand aspects of ordinary Fonseca's decorum, in two respects, one that is an ingenious manifestation, which works the concept in ornate constructions, and the second, an epistolary manifestation, through letter-romances (romances-carta). Percebendo a grande importância do elemento mouro na cultura portuguesa e destacando, ainda, a significância de se introduzir essa alteridade cultural e religiosa para se refletir sobre a imanência cultural, buscamos, nessa tese, analisar as diversas figurações dos mouros em obras literárias canônicas. Abarcamos, para isso, textos ficcionais de cunho histórico, centrando a atenção na obra literária de Alexandre Herculano, mas considerando, também, a origem lendária de tal tema e algumas de suas incidências mais significativas na contemporaneidade. / Perceiving the great importance of the moor element in Portuguese culture and emphasizing the significance of introducing this cultural and religious alterity in order to reflect about the cultural immanence, we search, in this thesis, to analyze the diverse figurations of the moors in canonical literary works. We used, for that, fictional texts of historical type, focusing the attention in the literary work of Alexandre Herculano, but also considering the legendary origin of this theme and some of its major significant coincidences in the contemporaneity.
