[pt] O desenvolvimento da internet e as inovações tecnológicas permitiram o surgimento de novas formas de comunicação e causaram impactos na produção e disseminação de informação pelos veículos de comunicação. Tais mudanças podem agir sobre a marca de um jornal, no momento de sua expansão para o ambiente digital e on-line, e sobre as interações com seus leitores. Neste contexto, o presente trabalho investiga se existe convergência entre o projeto de marca proposto pelo jornal e três manifestações fundamentais da marca, a saber: a versão impressa (off-line), o website e o perfil no Facebook (on-line) da Folha de S. Paulo. O estudo utiliza o modelo de Projeto/Manifestação de identidade de marca proposto por Andrea Semprini (2010) para a reconstrução do projeto de marca, e as ferramentas teórico-metodológicas da semiótica discursiva de linha francesa para a análise das manifestações da marca.A fim de aprofundar a compreensão das interações que se dão entre a Folha de S. Paulo e os seus consumidores/leitores, recorre-se ao modelo preconizado por Eric Landowski (2014), segundo o qual a narrativa pode se inserir em quatro regimes de interação: programação, manipulação, ajustamento e acidente. Os resultados da análise sugerem que há convergência entre o projeto de marca e suas manifestações. No entanto, o percurso do ambiente off-line para o ambiente on-line pode gerar novos sentidos para a marca, uma vez que sofrem alterações os critérios de noticiabilidade, a linguagem utilizada e, especialmente, as formas de interação entre veículo de comunicação e leitores. / [en] The development of the internet and technological innovations allow an increase in new forms of communication and generate impacts in the production and dissemination of information by media vehicles. These changes may affect the brand of a newspaper when it expands to the digital and on-line environments, and also affect its interactions with readers. In this context, this paper investigates whether there is a convergence between the brand project proposed by the newspaper and three fundamental Folha de S. Paulo branding moments: the printed version (off-line), the website, and theFacebook profile (on-line). The study uses the Project/Manifestation model of brand identity proposed by Andrea Semprini (2010) for the brand project reconstruction, and the French approach of discursive-semiotics for brand analysis. In order to further the understanding of the interactions between Folha de S. Paulo and its consumers/readers, is used the model proposed by Eric Landowski (2014), in which there are four regimes of interaction: programming, manipulation, adjustment and accident. The results of the analysis suggest there is convergence between the proposal of brand identity and its different manifestations. However, the path from the off-line environment to the on-line environment may generate new meanings for the brand because there are changes in the newsworthiness criteria, language utilized, and especially, the forms of interaction between the media and its readers.

Programa Institucional de CapacitaÃao Docente e TÃcnica / Este trabalho tenta explicar as mudanÃas de opiniÃo do jornal Folha de SÃo Paulo no perÃodo de 1979-1989, sobre a funÃÃo estatal no desenvolvimento econÃmico, quando reverte sua linha editorial de defesa da polÃtica nacional-desenvolvimentista instaurada em 1968, para o apoio das orientaÃÃes neoliberais de desregulamentaÃÃo e limitaÃÃo da intervenÃÃo estatal. Tomando como base da pesquisa seus editoriais, aliado a reportagens e artigos da Folha de SÃo Paulo, reconstruÃmos seu processo de adesÃo Ãs idÃias desestatizantes da dÃcada de 1980, relacionando-a com as transformaÃÃes polÃticas e econÃmicas que o paÃs passava naquele momento. Based on research in its publishing allied to articles of Folha de SÃo Paulo rebuilt its process of adhesion to the distating ideas of the 1980 decade, relating it with the political and financial changes that the country has been through. We have tried to dismitify its self representations of the newspaper that justified the reorientation of the publishing line as a result of non dogmatical character, flexible, and aware to the worldwide changes of the newspaper, by the analysis of these discursive constructions showed in the publishing, confronted them whit the business and political information of its owners, gotten by interview, accounts of journalists that worked and still work at Folha de SÃo Paulo newspaper, in its financial balances and is studies about the paulista diary in its financial political journalistical aspects. The presenting lecture inserts itself in the process of introduction of comprehension of neoliberal hegemony in the press and in the Brazilian society that has a relatively short space that inhibited and put in its defense of nationalist tendencies shown in the ideal of the academical business elites and politics of the country.

[pt] Inserido no contexto mais amplo dos estudos organizacionais históricos e dos estudos acerca da relação entre empresas, governo e sociedade, a pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar, à luz da análise crítica do discurso, quais estratégias discursivo-linguísticas o Jornal Folha de São Paulo utilizou para se posicionar ideologicamente antes, durante e depois do golpe de Estado de março de 1964. Para tanto, construiu-se o referencial teórico a partir da discussão sobre as relações entre Imprensa, Governo e Ditadura Militar e sobre os conceitos de Ideologia e Poder. Em relação aos procedimentos metodológicos para a construção do corpus da pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa e interpretativa foram coletados os seguintes documentos: (1) O Caderno Especial do jornal “64- Brasil continua” (44 páginas de conteúdo); e (2) os editoriais diários de janeiro a junho de 1964 (em um total de 112 editoriais). De forma complementar, para a realização da análise, foi utilizado o aporte teóricometodológico do modelo tridimensional de Norman Fairclough (2016) e o modelo de análise de estratégias de construções simbólicas ideológicas de J.B. Thompson (2011). Como resultado foi possível identificar três etapas na trajetória discursiva do posicionamento do Jornal Folha de São Paulo em relação ao golpe civil-militar de 1964: (1) um momento de significativa contribuição para a desestabilização do governo do presidente João Goulart (marcado pelos editoriais de Janeiro, Fevereiro e Março); (2) um momento de alinhamento com o golpe militar (marcado pelo Caderno Especial e os editoriais do mês de Abril); e (3) um momento de apoio ao posterior governo de Castelo Branco, com ressalvas (marcado pelos editoriais de Maio e Junho). / [en] In the broader context of historical organizational studies and studies about the relationship between business, government, and society, the research aimed to investigate, in the light of the Critical Discourse Analysis, what discursive-linguistic strategies the Folha de São Paulo newspaper used to ideologically position itself before, during and after the March 1964 coup d état. To this end, the theoretical framework was constructed based on the discussion about the relations between the Press, Government, and Military Dictatorship and on the concepts of Ideology and Power. Regarding the methodological procedures, for the construction of the corpus of the research the following documents were collected: (a) The special issue of the newspaper called 64- Brazil continues (44 pages); and (b) the daily editorials from January to June 1964 (out of a total of 112 commentaries). Also, were used for the analysis of the documents both the theoretical-methodological contribution of the threedimensional model of Norman Fairclough (2016) and the strategy analysis model of ideological symbolic constructions of J.B. Thompson (2011). As a result, it was possible to identify three stages in the discursive trajectory of the Folha de São Paulo newspaper in relation to the 1964 civil-military coup: (1) a moment of significant contribution to the destabilization of President João Goulart s government (marked by January, February and March editorials); (2) a moment of alignment with the military coup (marked by the Special Book and the April editorials); and (3) a moment of support for the subsequent Castelo Branco government, with reservations (marked by May and June editorials).

To do this, the author adopted the observation approach, analyzing documents, consulting files and libraries, and also oral history, through non-structured interviews. This way it was possible to prove Nabantino Ramos decisively contribution to organize and systemize the Brazilian journalistic process, seeking in the North-American journalism the foundation for the changes introduced in the newspapers from Grupo Folha de S.Paulo. / Reconstituindo a história de vida e a trajetória profissional de José Nabantino Ramos, esta tese pretende demonstrar e compreender seu pioneirismo na modernização do complexo jornalístico conhecido como Folhas , bem como discernir o valor da contribuição que ele trouxe ao jornalismo brasileiro. Para tanto, o autor recorreu ao método da observação, valendo-se tanto da análise de documentos, consultando arquivos e bibliotecas, quanto da história oral, por intermédio de entrevistas não estruturadas. Desta maneira foi possível comprovar que Nabantino Ramos contribuiu de forma decisiva para a organização e sistematização do processo jornalístico brasileiro, buscando no jornalismo norte-americano a base para as mudanças que introduziu nos jornais do Grupo Folha de S.Paulo.

The brazilian historiography that produced a variety of research on the Military Blow of 1964, has a shortage of studies on the role of the press in the articulation of the coup. Despite the historiography recognize the importance of media activity in the conspiracy, which ensured unity within the rebel group and the support of the middle classes, it is only from the 1990 that began to appear scholarly works on media and the military coup. But still remains a subject little explored. In order to understand a little better the relationship between the press and the coup, chose the editorial of Folha de S. Paulo, produced between january 1963 and april 1964, as a source document for our study. This period follows the duration of the Goulart government under the presidential system and ends in the first month of the military dictatorship. The main objective of the research is to establish the connections between the constituent newspaper and the social forces that, under the tip of the bayonet, ended with a legitimately constituted government and at the same time recover the social function that the journal fulfilled. Far from recognizing the newspaper as a tool to verify facts and provide subsidies to interpretation, deep inside the newspaper to understand it as a producer of ideology and diffuser of a particular vision of the world. Já que a historiografia brasileira, que produziu uma variedade de pesquisas a respeito do Golpe Militar de 1964, possui uma escassez de estudos sobre o papel da imprensa na articulação do golpe. Apesar da historiografia reconhecer a importância dos meios de comunicação na atividade conspiratória, que garantiu unidade no interior do grupo golpista e o apoio das classes médias, é somente a partir dos anos 1990 que começaram a aparecer trabalhos acadêmicos sobre mídia e o golpe militar. Porém, ainda continua sendo um tema pouco explorado. Com a finalidade de compreender um pouco melhor a relação entre a imprensa e o golpe, escolhemos os editoriais da Folha de S.Paulo, produzidos entre janeiro de 1963 e abril de 1964, como fonte documental para nosso estudo. Este período acompanha a duração do governo Goulart sob o regime presidencialista e termina no primeiro mês da ditadura militar. O objetivo principal da pesquisa é estabelecer os nexos constitutivos entre o jornal e as forças sociais que, sob a ponta da baioneta, acabaram com um governo legitimamente constituído e, ao mesmo tempo, recuperar a função social que o periódico cumpriu. Longe de reconhecer o jornal como simples instrumento para comprovar fatos e fornecer subsídios a interpretações mergulhamos no interior do jornal para compreendê-lo como produtor de ideologia e difusor de uma visão particular de mundo. A pesquisa demonstra que a Folha de S. Paulo ao adotar um posicionamento nos editoriais que responsabiliza o governo Goulart, por sua incapacidade administrativa, pela infiltração do comunismo no Brasil e pela crise política do período, dará legitimidade à intervenção militar, o golpe bonapartista
