Arithmetic Breuil-Kisin-Fargues modules and several topics in p-adic Hodge theory

<div> <div> <div> <p>Let K be a discrete valuation field with perfect residue field, we study the functor from weakly admissible filtered (φ,N,G<sub>K</sub>)-modules over K to the isogeny category of Breuil- Kisin-Fargues G<sub>K</sub>-modules. This functor is the composition of a functor defined by Fargues-Fontaine from weakly admissible filtered (φ,N,G<sub>K</sub>)-modules to G<sub>K</sub>-equivariant modifications of vector bundles over the Fargues-Fontaine curve X<sub>FF</sub> , with the functor of Fargues-Scholze that between the category of admissible modifications of vector bundles over X<sub>FF</sub> and the isogeny category of Breuil-Kisin-Fargues modules. We characterize the essential image of this functor and give two applications of our result. First, we give a new way of viewing the p-adic monodromy theorem of p-adic Galois representations. Also we show our theory provides a universal theory that enable us to compare many integral p-adic Hodge theories at the A<sub>inf</sub> level. </p> </div> </div> </div>

In future, computing platforms will invoke massive parallelism by using a huge number of processing elements. These elements need broadband interconnects to communicate with each other. Following More-than-Moore concepts, soon large numbers of processors will be arranged in 3D chip-stacks. This trend to stack multiple dies produces a demand for high-speed intraconnects (within the 3D stack) which enable an efficient operation. Besides wireless electronic solutions (inductive or capacitive as well as using antennas), optical connectivity is an option for bit rates up to the Tbit/s range, too. We investigated different candidates for optical TSVs. For optical transmission via optical Through-Silicon-Vias, we were able to demonstrate negligible losses and dispersion.

Aplicación de Sistema Constructivo Emmedue para módulos de vivienda en la zona costera de Lima

El sistema estructural Emmedue, actualmente se usa para dar solución a la mayoría de las necesidades constructivas del mercado en países como Argentina, Brasil, Chile, etc. Está ideado para utilizarse en proyectos que requieren rapidez en la ejecución, y a su vez garanticen los aspectos técnicos que debe poseer todo sistema constructivo en cuanto a calidad de materiales, procesos constructivos y que tenga un costo competitivo respecto a otros sistemas constructivos. En el aspecto técnico, el sistema Emmedue presenta tecnología constructiva de desarrollo y de uso reciente comparado a otros sistemas tradicionales (concreto reforzado, acero estructural, albañilería confinada, etc.). Las técnicas de cálculo y diseño del sistema no se encuentran ampliamente predeterminadas de acuerdo a ratios de número de pisos o alturas predeterminadas y, por tanto, los diseños aplicados están en función de los resultados de las pruebas de laboratorio que se han aplicado a elementos en conjunto del sistema o a elementos particulares del sistema propuesto. Actualmente, este sistema constructivo está en la lista vigente de SCNC aprobada por SENCICO. El objetivo principal de esta tesis es demostrar mediante comparativos que la aplicación del sistema Emmedue es viable en términos económicos y de tiempo respecto al sistema convencional de albañilería confinada. / The Emmedue structural system is currently used to provide solutions to most of the construction needs of the market in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, etc. It is designed to control projects that quickly accelerate execution, and in turn guaranteed the technical aspects that the entire construction system must have in terms of quality of materials, construction processes and that have a competitive cost compared to other construction systems. In the technical aspect, the Emmedue system presents construction technology of recent development and use compared to other traditional systems (reinforced concrete, structural steel, confined masonry, etc.). The calculation and design techniques of the system are not previously determined variables according to the proportions of number of floors or predetermined heights and, therefore, the applied designs are based on the results of the laboratory tests that have been applied to elements as a whole of the system or particular elements of the proposed system. Currently, this construction system is on the current SCNC list approved by SENCICO. The main objective of this thesis is to demonstrate by comparisons that the application of the Emmedue system is viable in economic and time terms compared to the conventional system of confined masonry. / Tesis

Recycling Waste Solar Panels (c-Si &amp; CdTe) in Sweden

Solar energy industries are one of the fastest-growing industries in the global energy market. Between 2018 and 2019, installed capacity in Sweden increased by 70%. This is due to a combination of declining PV module and inverter costs, as well as  increased conversion to fossil-free energy production to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. In fact, solar PVs have a 25-year life span, and soon many deployed PVs would soon reach their end of life (EoL), it is, therefore, important to organize for the EoL of PVs in order to recover precious resources and recycle PV modules in a sustainable manner. Currently, less than 10% of global solar cell waste is recycled, due to the lack of incentives for recycling in most countries. In the European Union, used-up modules are governed by the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive, which requires the collection of 85% of solar cell waste, with at least 80% of the waste being prepared for reuse or recycling. Solar cell waste has not amounted to significant volumes in Sweden, due to the lack of no known systems for recycling. Used-up modules are currently collected and managed as electronic waste in one of two approved collection systems in Sweden. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and assess methods of recycling waste solar panels in Sweden and is it economically viable to set up a solar waste recycling center before it reaches the right amount of waste. Moreover, the main focus is on the analysis and comparison of the environmental impacts of various recycling methods for crystalline silicon (c-Si) and cadmium telluride (CdTe) panels. To recycle solar panel waste, the elements of these panels must be assessed from both an economic point of view as well as environmental impacts. Today, the most common PV panels in the global market and also Sweden are c-Si and CdTe types. The results showed except for the pyrolysis method, the environmental impacts of both c-Si and CdTe PV panels from the thermal-based recycling methods, are lower than chemical methods. Furthermore, the extraction of Al, Si, and glass from c-Si and the extraction of glass from CdTe has a less environmental impact than the current techniques used in the recycling of PV panels. Finally, in this study, we revealed which materials can be prioritized for maximum economic and environmental advantages from recycling. In c-Si modules, these are Ag, Al, Si, and glass and in CdTe modules, these are Te, Cu, and glass. Currently, investing in a new solar module recycling center in Sweden is not economically viable. Because the possibility of such an investment requires economic and political incentives. Given that by 2042 the volume of Swedish solar waste will not reach the minimum level of profitability to build a new specialized center for the recycling of solar modules, the best decision is to modify the existing plants in Sweden to recover expensive and vital materials.

In dieser Arbeit beschreiben wir die Kategorie der endlich erzeugten stetigen Darstellungen der n-ten direkten Potenz der absoluten Galoisgruppe $G_L$ von L mit Koeffizienten in $O_L$, unter Verwendung einer verallgemeinerten Version der $(phi, Gamma)$-Moduln von Fontaine. In Kapitel 4 beweisen wir, dass die Kategorie der stetigen Darstellungen der n-ten direkten Potenz von $G_L$ auf endlichen dimensionalen $kk_L$-Vektorräumen und die Kategorie étaler $(phi, Gamma)$-Moduln über einem n-variablen Laurentreihenring über $kk_L$ äquivalent sind. In Kapitel 5 erweitern wir diese Äquivalenz, um zu beweisen, dass die Kategorie der stetigen Darstellungen der n-ten direkten Potenz von $G_L$ auf endlich erzeugten $O_L$-Moduln und die Kategorie étaler $(phi, Gamma)$-Moduln über einem n-variablen Laurentreihenring über $O_L$ äquivalent sind. In this thesis we describe the category of finitely generated continuous representations of the n-th direct power of the absolute Galois group $G_L$ of L with coefficients in $O_L$ using a generalized version of Fontaine's $(phi, Gamma)$-modules. In Chapter 4 we prove that the category of continuous representations of the n-th direct power of $G_L$ on finite dimensional $kk_L$-vector spaces is equivalent to the category of étale $(phi, Gamma)$-modules over a n-variable Laurent series ring over $kk_L$. In Chapter 5 we extend this equivalence to prove that the category of continuous representations of the n-th direct power of $G_L$ on finitely generated $O_L$-modules is equivalent to the category of étale $(phi, Gamma)$-modules over a n-variable Laurent series ring over $O_L$. On the one hand, if we let n=1 and $L$ be arbitrary, we obtain the refinement of Fontaine's original construction due to Kisin, Rin and Schneider, which uses Lubin-Tate theory. On the other hand, if we let n be arbitrary and $L=QQ_p$, we recover Zábrádi's theory of multivariable cyclotomic $(phi,Gamma)$-modules that generalizes Fontaine's use of a single free variable. Therefore, our thesis provides a common framework for both of these generalizations.

Accelerated Large-Scale Multiple Sequence Alignment with Reconfigurable Computing

Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) is a fundamental analysis method used in bioinformatics and many comparative genomic applications. The time to compute an optimal MSA grows exponentially with respect to the number of sequences. Consequently, producing timely results on large problems requires more efficient algorithms and the use of parallel computing resources. Reconfigurable computing hardware provides one approach to the acceleration of biological sequence alignment. Other acceleration methods typically encounter scaling problems that arise from the overhead of inter-process communication and from the lack of parallelism. Reconfigurable computing allows a greater scale of parallelism with many custom processing elements that have a low-overhead interconnect. The proposed parallel algorithms and architecture accelerate the most computationally demanding portions of MSA. An overall speedup of up to 150 has been demonstrated on a large data set when compared to a single processor. The reduced runtime for MSA allows researchers to solve the larger problems that confront biologists today.

Sveriges befolkning ökar och i takt med detta behöver fler bostäder byggas. En flexibel lösning till problemet skulle kunna vara modulbostäder. Detta examensarbete undersöker i huvudsak två frågeställningar. Dels hur modulerna står mot de krav som ställts på den svenska byggnadsmarknaden. Dels hur valet av ventilation kan påverka modulbostäderna. Detta genomförs med en jämförelse av kostnader, energiberäkningar och krav mot en referensmodul. Tanken med modulbostäder är att bland annat minska byggtiden genom att producera modulerna i fabrik. Modulerna kan också byggas för att vara möjliga att flytta efter behov.   Studien har genomförts genom faktainsamling från litteratur samt intervjuer med ventilationsföretag och företag som jobbar med moduler. Avgränsningar har bland annat gjorts till att bara studera flerbostadshus.   Resultatet tyder på att modulbostäder i teorin uppfyller de krav som ställs från bland annat Boverket. Företag satsar mot hållbara byggnader och försöker bygga sina moduler mer som ett vanligt flerbostadshus. Detta ger en längre livslängd och energieffektivare byggnader.   Ventilationen visade ett resultat som var svårtolkat. Mycket beror på byggnadens utformning och valet av aggregat från leverantör. Detta tillsammans med vaga värden från ventilationsleverantörerna gjorde det svårt att avgöra vilket system som vore mest fördelaktiga. Val av system kan väljas från mjukare värden som för- och nackdelar. Beroende på om bostäderna behöver vara flexibla så är det att föredra med individuella system. Ser man till kostnad däremot så kan ett centralt system vara med fördelaktigt. / The Swedish population is growing and as well the demand for housing construction. A flexible solution to this problem could be modular houses. This thesis examines two main issues. Issue number one focuses on how modular houses can achieve compared to the Swedish standard building regulations. The other issue focuses on how the choice of ventilation system can affect the building. To achieve an answer, comparisons of costs, energy calculations and regulations against an reference housing. The idea with modular housing is to reduce the construction time by building the modules in a industry. A module can also be made portable depending on where it is most needed.   This study has been carried through by gathering information from literature and interviews with ventilation- and modular housing companies. Limitations has been made for instance, to apartment buildings.   Results show in theory that modular housing compares well to regulations put up by Boverket. Companies working with modular houses has focused more on building modules that can be compared to other types of housing buildings. This gives the modules a longer life span as well as more energy efficiency.   It is a bit more difficult to analyze the results from ventilation systems. A lot is depended on the modules design and also the choice of unit. This along with vague data from the ventilation companies made it difficult to choose which system would be more effective. To be able to choose a system from this thesis, softer values like pro and cons to be given in consideration. Depending on the need of the building, different choices could be made. If flexibility is important then a individual system may be preferred. While if cost is more important, then central system should be the choice.

Процесс проектирования систем отопления сопровождается большим количеством временных затрат, вызванных как расчетами, так и построением большого количества элементов в пространстве модели. Создание дополнительных программных модулей позволяет проектировщиком больше внимания уделять принятию принципиальных решений и тратить меньше времени на выполнение циклически повторяющихся однотипных действий, тем самым ускоряя процесс создания проекта. В ходе данной диссертационной работы был выполнен аналитический обзор методов создания программных модулей, а также был разработан и реализован скрипт по построению теплого пола для компании «Строительное проектирование «КУБ». / The process of heating systems designis accompanied by a large amount of time caused by both calculations and the construction of a large number of elements in model space. Creating additional software modules allows the designer to pay more attention to making fundamental decisions and spend less time performing cyclically repeated actions of the same type, thereby speeding up the process of creating a project. In the course of this dissertation work, an analytical review of methods for creating software modules was carried out, and a script for building a warm floor for the Construction Design KUB company was developed and implemented.
