Incitaments roll vid privat pensionssparande : Hur slopandet av avdragsrätten i produkten individuellt pensionssparande påverkat kundbeteendet / The incentive role of private pension : How the deductibility of private pensionsavings (IPS) affected customer behaviorRönningen, Sanne, Palmqvist, Li January 2016 (has links)
Background: The population of Sweden is getting older and the national pension decreases. In that situation a private pension becomes important. Despite this, the government decided to abolish the deductibility of IPS. After the abolition of the deductibility of the IPS there still are customers who have not changed their savings behavior. A problem arises as to how these customers should be handled. Purpose: Within the boundaries of marketing the purpose is to explore the customer behavior when an incentive disappears and conditions held before, changes. Completion: The study is based on a qualitative approach, focusing on interviews. Experts in the area, counselors and individuals contribute to the quality of the empiric. To identify individuals with a relation to IPS, the authors first conducted a feasibility study. Based on the collected empirical data, an empirical driven thematic analysis is followed to discern and categorize different similarities and differences. Which, in the end resulted in a deep reflected discussion and conclusion regarding the subject. Conclusion: Regarding savings, ignorance and the dissemination of information are key elements in customer behavior. Eliminating the incentive also adds negativity to the brand IPS that could cause difficulties in the implementation of a potential new product. It has been revealed that there is a supply deficit and further, it requires that the government, banks and financial institutions needs to analyze these surrounding elements, and the customer behavior which occur in the study, into consideration in order to fulfill the customer demand.

The role of private institutional investors for the development of urban infrastructure assetsSharma, Rajiv January 2012 (has links)
The topic of infrastructure investment has emerged as a critical public policy issue over the last thirty years as governments grapple with an infrastructure deficit that has become one of the great global challenges of our time. Through the simultaneous processes of neo-liberalisation and globalisation, the urban infrastructure landscape has emerged as an attractive investment area for large financial institutions. With the recent Global Financial Crisis further exacerbating both the funding and growth lifting needs of nations, the urgency of linking institutional investors with urban infrastructure assets is more apparent than ever. This thesis looks at the evolving dynamics associated with the growing involvement of the financial industry in the provision of urban infrastructure assets. This is achieved by using a relational perspective, studying the interactions of financial actors, while simultaneously being aware that these decisions are made within a larger political economic context. It is argued that the complex, heterogeneous and long-term nature of institutional infrastructure investing requires a multi-disciplinary relational economic geography framework. Specifically, relational theory is used to explore the informational content and geographical structure of the infrastructure financial product, the influence of government decision-making, the corporate governance of infrastructure investments and the investment relationship between investors and financial intermediaries. Despite exponential growth in the field over the last decade, the infrastructure financial product has a level of sophistication and obscurity that prohibits it from being classed a transparent investment area, highlighting the importance of a relational approach to investments. From the case study on Auckland International Airport Ltd., it is shown that through a relational form of light-handed regulatory contract, the government plays a central role in affecting the favourable performance of an economically significant asset. The explication of the Spanish-led ADI consortium acquisition of UK airport operating company BAA illustrates the need for ‘glocal’ infrastructure governance to incorporate a wider stakeholder perspective as well as an appropriate shareholder wealth maximisation strategy. And finally, through analysing the relationships between investment partners for the infrastructure investment process, investment consultants are playing a crucial role to help align interests and promote the long-term relational approach to investing for the infrastructure asset class. In an age where infrastructure investment has been recognised by many nations around the world as the most important growth lifting strategy, this thesis provides a deeper understanding of how a relational approach can facilitate successful private institutional infrastructure investment.

Důchody pozůstalých / Survivors' pensionsVykysalá, Lucie January 2012 (has links)
Survivors' pensions In my thesis I concerned myself with the issue of survivors' pensions, because it is a topic, which is topical at all times and it can affect anyone of us. My aim was to present a comprehensive overview, this is why I tried to handle the topic not only in terms of the current legal regulations, but also to describe the historical development of survivors' pensions, and to point out the changes, that have already been carried out in relation to the pension reform and which are planned for the future. The first chapter is devoted to the historical development of the survivors' benefits from the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic to the 1990s. I mentioned all the important laws and how the listing of the provided survivors' pensions and the conditions which entitle a person to the pension changed over the years. In the next chapter I name the current sources of law concerning the pension insurance, especially three main legal acts, from which I mostly derived the information while writing this thesis, but also the constitutional basis, significant international treaties concerning pensions and the sources of the European Union law. In the third chapter I concerned myself with the explanation of the terms, which often appear in the following chapters of my thesis, because they are...

Možnosti vývoje českého důchodového systému / The possible development of Czech pension systemNýdrle, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
The Czech pension system will change substantially in the coming decades. Demographic changes will cause its financial instability while keeping its current parameters. Financial stability of the pension system can be reached through expenditure reduction and increase in revenues of the pension system. We can expect a real decline of the average pensions paid on the level of dozens of percentages in the coming decades. The decision between pay as you go and fund pension scheme is not affected by the demographic situation. The individuals should decrease their expenditures and ensure additional revenue in retirement to secure their standard of living. The family solidary can provide certain social security in retirement. The preservation of minimal level of population reproduction is vital for both pay as you go and fund pension schemes.

Finansiell förmåga och pensionsplanering : En empirisk studie om sambandet mellan finansiell förmåga och pensionsplanering i Norge / Financial literacy and retirement planning : An empirical study on the relationship between financial literacy and retirement planning in NorwayNyberg, Victoria January 2016 (has links)
Rising life expectancies together with declining birth rates have contributed to a transformation of the pension system in several countries. In turn, the transformation has resulted in a greater individual management of the pensions and thus greater demands on the individual’s skills. Previous researches have shown that financial literacy tends to be low in well-developed countries, they have also distinguished a positive relationship between an individual’s financial literacy and retirement planning. From this point of view, the increased individual management could cause concerns and create unfavorable conditions for positive economic outcomes for the society as well as the individual. The previous researches have mainly dealt with the levels of financial literacy and retirement planning and how they co-vary in cross section. The thesis intends to study the relationship between financial literacy and retirement planning over time, to achieve a better understanding of the relationship. The thesis is based on a dataset from Norway, where a change in the pension system was implemented in 2011. The relationship between the individual's financial literacy and retirement planning is examined with regression analyzes. The results from the regression analyzes indicate that a change in the individual’s financial literacy do not have an impact on the retirement planning. The thesis results do not provide support for a causal relationship between financial literacy and retirement planning in Norway. The previous researches in other countries do provide support for a causal relationship. If the relationship between financial literacy and retirement planning is the same or similar in an international point of view, the results raises further questions about how the relationship appears and how the mechanism works. If there is a desire to enhance individuals' retirement planning the thesis result give no simple answers to what actions that are appropriate and generate results.

Bakom socialdemokraternas beslut. : - från 1950-talets ATP-strid till 1990-talets pensionsuppgörelseLoxbo, Karl January 2007 (has links)
In 1959, the Swedish Social Democratic Party prevailed over the bourgeois parties in the great battle for supplementary pensions (ATP). In the 1990’s, however, the party leadership decided to abolish the ATP in close cooperation with the bourgeois parties. The thesis poses the following question: “What prospects did the Social Democratic leadership have to gain support for the ATP-reform in the 1950’s, and then for the quite dissimilar pension reform in the 1990’s, and how can differences between these prospects be explained?” In order to explain the kind of party change pointed out in the problem statement, this thesis proposes a theoretical perspective that focuses on the tension between different roles played by the party leadership on different arenas. The hypothesis, that is tested in the thesis, is that early decisions create different constrains for future decisions on different arenas. The thesis has two main conclusions. The first conclusion is that the decision to implement the generous ATP-system in the 1950’s in practice laid the ground for the subsequent abolishment of that same system in the 1990’s. The second conclusion is that the pragmatism, always displayed on the parliamentary arena, has not been visible on the electoral arena or on the party arena. The party leadership plays different roles on different arenas, and over time these different roles have become hard, if not impossible, to combine. The result of this was that decisions on the parliamentary arena were decoupled from messages and rhetoric about these decisions on the party arena, and on the electoral arena. The pension reform in the 1990’s was quite a different decision compared to the popular introduction of the ATP-system. Both of these decisions, however, were attempts by the party leadership to maximize support on each arena. The possibilities for succeeding in this venture were greatly reduced in the 1990’s. Instead of one party striving for one goal, Swedish Social Democracy in the 1990’s appeared as two or three parties, with different objectives and goals.

Solidarita a ekvivalence v důchodovém systému ČR / Solidarity and equivalence in the Czech pension systemStaňková, Markéta January 2010 (has links)
My diploma thesis deals with problems of pension insurance, which is characterized by strong income redistribution and low pension equivalence. The aim of my thesis is complex analysis of contemporary state of Czech pension system from the point of view of solidarity and equivalence principle application and to propose solution reinforcing equivalence principle. In the theoretical part of the theses I first define terms solidarity and equivalence, then introduce types of pension plans, possibilities of their financing and describe current pension system. Analytical part points to excessive solidarity of Czech pension system. Analysis covers both mandatory basic pension insurance (reduction limits, non-contributory periods), and additional pension insurance with state contributions. Analysis contains comparison with selected states. Thesis conclusion leads in proposal of adequate problem solution. Study employs methods of systemic analysis, comparison, and synthesis.
