Gaudreau, Edith 08 1900 (has links)
This research study represents an incursion into Asian bioethics. The goal is to verify whether a specific bioethics approach is attributed to Asia and, if so, to identify its most obvious distinctiveness. This research was based on a corpus of articles published between 2001 and 2005 in electronic versions from acknowledged scientific magazines. This research infers the existence of an Asian bioethics which allows for a specific predominance to certain human values as well as unique and distinct meaning. On one hand, the cultural and local moral traditions relationship and, on the other hand, the predominance and interpretation of ethical values, must be recognized and considered so bioethics become relevant and applicable to those affected by the assessed issues in Asia. This study also identifies four distinctiveness in ‘Asian bioethics’ which represent the beginning of an endeavor to define their nature: The correlation between ‘the self’ and the others, compassion, harmony and a spiritual idea of the world based upon interdependence and networking in an intertwined and participative universal order.

Automatické generování harmonie / Automatic Harmony Generation

Bobčík, Martin January 2021 (has links)
Goal of this master thesis is to study harmonization based on knowledge of given melody and to design a system which will meaningfully automate this activity. In the work there is covered basics of music theory needed for this topic and previous other approaches to this problematic. There is also covered machine learning, neural networks and recurrent neural networks. In the end, there is outlined design of the system, how to make it work and how to use it. Three experiments were executed with the system. Harmonization of the melodies were unpleasant though. A possible cause might be relatively small used neural network of the system.

Automatické jazzové aranžmá / Automatic jazz arrangement

Chadim, Petr January 2011 (has links)
This Thesis is focused on the arranging of the melody, which is accompanied by jazz chords. It deals with creating a more harmonious voices using Block Voicing method. Distribution to target notes and passing notes is made using techniques of constraint programming (CSP). Passing notes are reharmonized by dominant seventh chord or by parallel chord. Using CSP a bass part is also created. To solve CSP is used Gecode library. The harmonious voices are arranged by Four Part Close Voicing. The application result is a tool for the music arranger.

Johann Nepomuk David

Schröder, Gesine 09 September 2016 (has links)

Identifikace cover verzí skladeb pomocí harmonických příznaků, modelu harmonie a harmonické složitosti / Cover Song Identification using Music Harmony Features, Model and Complexity Analysis

Maršík, Ladislav January 2019 (has links)
Title: Cover Song Identification using Music Harmony Features, Model and Complexity Analysis Author: Ladislav Maršík Department: Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jaroslav Pokorný, CSc., Department of Software Engineering Abstract: Analysis of digital music and its retrieval based on the audio fe- atures is one of the popular topics within the music information retrieval (MIR) field. Every musical piece has its characteristic harmony structure, but harmony analysis is seldom used for retrieval. Retrieval systems that do not focus on similarities in harmony progressions may consider two versions of the same song different, even though they differ only in instrumentation or a singing voice. This thesis takes various paths in exploring, how music harmony can be used in MIR, and in particular, the cover song identification (CSI) task. We first create a music harmony model based on the knowledge of music theory. We define novel concepts: a harmonic complexity of a mu- sical piece, as well as the chord and chroma distance features. We show how these concepts can be used for retrieval, complexity analysis, and how they compare with the state-of-the-art of music harmony modeling. An extensive comparison of harmony features is then performed, using both the novel fe- atures and the...
