This survey of Eugene O'Neill's works attempts to establish that fact that he used a number of dramatic experiments in his plays and that he used them successfully.

En la actualidad, la crónica goza de un prestigio particular debido a su manera de contarnos una historia. Esta fama se debe, en parte, al esfuerzo de un conjunto de periodistas estadounidenses de los años sesenta que rompieron los moldes impuestos por un discurso hegemónico que obró en detrimento de la innovación en la prensa. Agrupados bajo el rótulo de Nuevo Periodismo, estos cronistas adoptaron una postura estilística que incluía técnicas y recursos de la ficción para mejorar la calidad informativa de sus textos periodísticos. Cincuenta años antes, en el Perú, un joven periodista se había adelantado a estos cronistas: Abraham Valdelomar. Entre 1915 a 1917, el escritor nacional publicó crónicas en donde conjuga el periodismo y la literatura –al igual que lo hicieron los reporteros estadounidenses– con el fin de distinguirse de las convenciones de la prensa diaria. Esta tesis tiene como objetivo principal reconstruir el sentido de las crónicas de Abraham Valdelomar, a partir de los procedimientos de la novela realista, y demostrar cómo y con qué propósito aplicó estas técnicas en sus crónicas. La tesis se divide en cuatro capítulos que nos ayudarán a entender por qué aplicó estos artilugios de la ficción en sus textos periodísticos.

A presente dissertação analisa a passagem da escravidão ao trabalho livre, destacando que a proximidade ou o fim da escravidão, não significou a saída dos trabalhadores escravos dos engenhos da região. A partir do uso de fontes diversas como jornais, inventários post-mortem, saldo da câmara municipal de Igarapé-Miri, contratos de trabalho, e outros, dados demográficos, na busca em compreender a importância da escravidão no local assim como, os mecanismos utilizados pelos senhores para assegurar a mão-de-obra. / In Igarapé-Miri, throughout the nineteenth century, the presence of slave workers was significant and of great relevance to the activities of sugarcane cultivation and the production of aguardente / cachaça. The present dissertation analyzes the transition from slavery to free labor, emphasizing that the proximity or the end of slavery did not mean the exit of the slave laborers from the sugar mills of the region. From the use of various sources such as newspapers, post-mortem inventories, Igarapé-Miri municipal council balance, labor contracts, and others, demographic data we understand the importance of slavery in the place and the mechanisms used by the lords to ensure the hand Of work.

<p>Det har gått 10 år sedan resolution 1325 om kvinnor, fred och säkerhet antogs. Den följs av olika handlingsplaner för att implementera resolutionen. Dessutom finns studier om och erfarenheter i hur man skall lyckas med implementeringen av resolution 1325. Syftet med uppsatsen är att jämföra Regeringens handlingsplan för resolution 1325 och Försvarsmaktens arbete med resolution 1325, för att lyfta fram likheter och skillnader. Syftet är även att visa vilka erfarenheter som dragits av studier om implementering av resolution 1325 och hur Regeringens plan och Försvarsmaktens arbete stämmer överens med de dragna erfarenheterna. Uppsatsen presenterar resolution 1325 och de studier som finns om resolution 1325, samt Regeringens handlingsplan för att implementera resolution 1325 och en intervju med ansvarig förimplementering av resolutionen i Försvarsmakten. Resultatet av dokumentanalysen och intervjun visar att det finns likheterna mellan Regeringens och Försvarsmaktens planer samt de studier som finns om resolution 1325, men även att det finns skillnader. Resultatet visar även vart fokus ligger i implementeringen av resolution 1325 och på vilket sätt arbetet följs upp av Regeringen och Försvarsmakten. The aim is also to present experiences learned from studies on how to implement Resolution 1325 and how the Government's action plan and the Armed Forces work in line with those drawn experiences. This thesis presents the Resolution 1325 and different studies available on Resolution 1325. It presents The Government's action plan to implement Resolution 1325 and an interview with the person who is responsibility for implementation of the Resolution in the Armed Forces. The results of the document analysis and the interview show that there are some similarities between the Governments and the Armed Forces plans and the studies of Resolution 1325, but also that there are some differences. The result also proves where the focus lies in the implementation of Resolution1325 and how the work is monitored by the Government and the Armed Forces. The conclusion is that there are similarities but also differences between the Government's plan and the Armed Forces work and that both in many cases are linked to previous studies on Resolution 1325.</p>

Cette thèse est une recherche comparative globale des techniques pianistiques utilisées dans les Douze études dans les tons mineurs op. 39 de Charles-Valentin Alkan et les Études d'exécution transcendante de Franz Liszt. À partir de ce concept, ce document explore l'évolution du piano en France à l'époque des deux compositeurs. De plus, il détermine leurs innovations pianistiques ainsi que les styles personnels qui les caractérisent dans ces deux recueils. On y trouve également une analyse du langage musical apparu dans chaque étude et l'influence des autres compositeurs. Cet écrit présente un parcours des différentes textures pianistiques du point de vue de l'interprète. Ce survol a pour but d'arriver à une pratique optimale ainsi qu'à une utilisation efficace des moyens corporels pour obtenir une meilleure qualité de son. En somme, cette recherche porte sur la résolution des problèmes techniques des œuvres de ces deux compositeurs qui se trouvent au sommet de la virtuosité au 19e siècle. / This thesis is a comprehensive comparative research of piano techniques used in Charles-Valentin Alkan's Twelve Etudes In the Minor Keys op. 39 and Franz Liszt's Transcendental Etude. From this starting point, this document explores the historical evolution of the piano in France during these two composer's time. It also determines their pianistic innovations as well as the personal styles that define them in these two collections. The reader will also find an analysis of the musical language that appeared in each etude as well as the influence from other composers' styles. This document presents an overview of different pianistic textures explained from the interpreter's standpoint. This overview targets an optimal way for practicing and an efficient use of the body in order to obtain a better sound quality. Thus, this research is about the resolution of technical problems that one can find in the works of these two composers who are at the top of the 19th Century's virtuosity

L'œuvre présentée dans la première partie de ce mémoire repose sur la quête d'identité et l'acceptation de soi. Tout au long de l'intrigue, le syndrome de l'imposteur et la difficulté qu'ont les protagonistes à s'attribuer un mérite qui leur revient de plein droit apparaissent en filigrane. Chacun porte une croix qu'il s'impose, une croix fabriquée de toutes pièces par des sentiments non fondés de péché et de culpabilité. Notre société a établi au fil du temps ses règles de fonctionnement, qui vont des plus évidentes, comme les lois et règlements, aux plus subtiles, comme les piliers judéo-chrétiens de péché, de culpabilité et d'expiation. Des leviers qui affectent encore aujourd'hui le quotidien de tous, y compris celui des écrivains. Par le biais de deux œuvres, soit L'imposture de Georges Bernanos, et Le trou dans le mur de Michel Tremblay, nous examinerons dans la seconde partie du mémoire, l'influence de la religion judéo-chrétienne dans la littérature et son lien avec le sentiment d'imposture. / The work presented in the first part of this dissertation is based on a quest for identity and self-acceptance. Throughout the plot, the Impostor Syndrome prevents the characters from taking credit for themselves. Every protagonist carries a cross that he/she imposes on himself/herself; a cross fabricated by unfounded feelings of sin and guilt. Over time, our society has established its rules of operation, which range from the most obvious, such as laws and regulations, to the more subtle, such as the Judeo-Christian pillars of sin, guilt, and atonement. These factors still affect the daily lives of all, including writers. In the second part of the dissertation, through the analysis of two novels, L'imposture by Georges Bernanos, and Le trou dans le mur by Michel Tremblay, we will examine the influence of the Judeo-Christian religion in literature, and its link with the sense of imposture.
