Para tanto, expõe como, em seu plano narrativo, algumas de suas categorias narrativas reiteram a significância da memória, análise que se deu sob a égide das perspectivas teóricas de Mikhail Bakhtin (2003 e 2010), Paul Ricoeur (2010a e 2010b) e Gérard Genette (1979). Em seguida, direciona-se para o delineamento de cada um dos níveis de memória (individual, social, familiar e cultural, assim como a mnemônica intertextual) que Galiléia abarca, passando pela sua explicitação conceitual e pelo delineamento da dinâmica de inter-relação de cada um desses níveis no bojo do romance, o que se dá através do recurso à teoria da memória cultural, cunhada por Jan Assmann e Aleida Assmann (2005). Objetiva, igualmente, evidenciar como a teoria da memória cultural não esgota a dinâmica da memória no romance, motivo pelo qual propõe três novas tematizações da memória, assim como se destina a analisar a problemática existente entre esta última (a memória) e a(s) identidade(s) de seus personagens. Por fim, volta-se para a inscrição da Bíblia no plano textual de Galiléia. A análise deste aspecto é desenvolvida com base no conceito de mnemônica intertextual de Astrid Erll e Ansgar Nünning (2005) e seu intuito é o de, através de um paralelo entre os dois textos referidos, identificar as conexões entre os temas, as situações e os personagens de ambos. O caminho analítico percorrido tanto esclarece a centralidade da memória nos planos narrativo e textual do romance analisado quanto revela a sua riqueza intertextual. ________________________________________________________________________________________ / ABSTRACT: The paper entitled “The dimensions of memory and its interrelationships in Ronaldo Correia de Brito’s novel Galiléia” discusses the role of memory as a structuring force of such novel. In this regard, it is demonstrated on the narrative level how some of its narrative categories reiterate the significance of memory. The analysis was carried out based on the theoretical perspectives of Mikhail Bakhtin (2003 and 2010), Paul Ricoeur (2010a and 2010b) and Gérard Genette (1979.). The study then proceeds to an outline of each of the memory levels (individual, social, familial, and cultural, as well as the textual mnemonics) encompassed in Galiléia, going over its conceptual clarification and the outlining of the interrelation dynamics between each of these dimensions in the core of the novel, which is done by means of the ‘cultural memory’ theory, coined by Jan Assmann and Aleida Assmann (2005). It also aims to point out, through the presentation of three new memory subjects, how the said novel does not exhaust the dynamics of memory in itself, and proposes a study of the existing problems between memory and the characters’ identity/ies. Finally, it looks at the presence of the Bible on the textual plan of Galiléia. The analysis of these aspects is developed based on the concept of ‘intertextual mnemonics’ by Astrid and Ansgar Erll Nünning (2005) and its purpose is, through a parallel between the two said texts, to identify the connections between their themes, situations and characters. This paper treads an analytical path which both clarifies the centrality of memory on the narrative and textual plans of the studied novel and unveils its intertextual richness.

Interpretaremos todos os trechos das referidas obras relevantes para os temas a serem tratados, e justificaremos nossa interpretação em dois níveis. No primeiro nível de justificação, recorreremos à interpretação de Oskari Kuusela a fim de mostrar que nossa interpretação se justifica por sua concordância com a de Kuusela, pois entendemos que Wittgenstein procura elaborar uma concepção de filosofia desprovida de teorias e, portanto, livre de dogmatismo, tendo falhado em sua primeira tentativa, no Tractatus, mas sendo bem sucedido em sua segunda tentativa, nas Investigações. No segundo nível de justificação, recorreremos às interpretações dos principais comentadores da filosofia de Wittgenstein a fim de mostrar que a interpretação de Kuusela se justifica por solucionar os problemas que as interpretações dos principais comentadores da filosofia de Wittgenstein não solucionam, uma vez que tais interpretações não são capazes de explicar como Wittgenstein falha no Tractatus e tem sucesso nas Investigações em sua empresa de conceber uma filosofia livre de dogmatismo / The objects of this dissertation are Wittgenstein’s conception of philosophy in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and in the Philosophical Investigations, as well as the transformation that Wittgenstein’s conception of philosophy suffered from the Tractatus to the Investigations. We will interpret every passage of the referred works relevant to the subjects to be treated, and we will justify our interpretation in two levels. At the first level of justification, we will appeal to the interpretation of Oskari Kuusela in order to show that our interpretation is justified by its agreement with Kuusela’s, because we understand that Wittgenstein seeks to elaborate a conception of philosophy devoid of theories and, therefore, free of dogmatism, having failed in his first attempt, in the Tractatus, but succeeding in his second attempt, in the Investigations. At the second level of justification, we will appeal to the interpretations of the main commentators of Wittgenstein’s philosophy in order to show that Kuusela’s interpretation is justified by solving the problems that the interpretations of the main commentators of Wittgenstein’s philosophy do not solve, once that such interpretations are not able to explain how Wittgenstein fails in the Tractatus and succeeds in the Investigations in his enterprise of conceiving a philosophy free of dogmatism

Ele é um trabalho que visa satisfazer exigências acadêmicas. Entretanto, utilizo Wittgenstein para expor meus próprios pensamentos (que aparecem mais claramente no apêndice). Espero mostrar aqui que as Investigações não trazem apenas os resultados de Wittgenstein, mas também os seus métodos. Espero mostrar também que Wittgenstein pretendia que eles pudessem ser usados para resolver problemas filosóficos diferentes dos problemas através dos quais ele apresentou-os. De fato, ele apresentou-os através dos problemas que o circundavam. Filosofar é identificar e atacar os problemas do seu próprio tempo e do seu próprio meio (cujos limites, entretanto, são difusos). Darei assim uma atenção especial ao começo das Investigações, tentando entender a referência que Wittgenstein faz no §48 ao método do §2 e tentando em seguida individuá-lo, para depois fazer o mesmo com os métodos dos §8, §9, §10 e §14, intimamente relacionados ao §2. A idéia é isolá-los dos problemas através dos quais foram apresentados justamente para mostrar que a afirmação de Wittgenstein no prefácio das Investigações de que ele queria “estimular alguém a pensamentos próprios” está em perfeita sintonia com o corpo do texto propriamente dito. Por fim, espero mostrar que, na visão de Wittgenstein, a aplicação sistemática dos seus métodos resultaria na aquisição de uma capacidade, a saber, a capacidade de filosofar (é ela que traz paz ao espírito). Assim, as Investigações podem de fato ser coerentemente descritas como um manual ou como um livro de exercícios.

M.A. (English) / The broad scope of this dissertation is the collection, editing and publishing of Herman Charles Bosman’s juvenilia with the purpose of re-introducing these stories into the public domain. The project involves creating a critical edition of Bosman’s juvenilia through careful and diplomatic editorial processes. The resultant typescript is the first presentation of what is now posited as the entire collection of Herman Charles Bosman’s juvenilia. The project adds a total of seven previously un-credited stories to the already published collections of Bosman’s juvenilia. The dissertation extends into an in-depth analysis of what juvenilia is, and focuses on the problems relating to the delineation of works as juvenilia. Additionally, there is a discussion on the theory and practice of textual criticism, where a general background and overview of the history and practice of textual criticism is presented, including the textual history of Bosman’s juvenilia and the processes involved in the production of the critical edition. Beyond this, there is also a general analysis of Bosman’s juvenilia, focusing on themes, narrative modes and point of view, imagery and language.

Such a treatment situate itself between the empirical and the transcendental, seeing the grammatical therapy of the second Wittgenstein as a philosophical pragmatics. Without reduction to the empirical neither apeal to the transcendental,this conception lead us to the revision of the episthemological project of Gaston-Granger at the light of the Ph. Investigation' s philosophical project, interpretating, so, the concept of 'style', following A. Moreno, as dealing with the positiv face of the structures, not just as its negativ face. The application of bakhtinian cathegories permit us to see in a more perspicuous way the peculiarity of this philosophy, wich style is so carachterized as dialogical (that is, as monolocally irreductible). In this application of a comparativ-topical method (inspirated on the J. Proust work) we are trying to make explicit the position assumed by the last Wittgenstein, comparing it with other two moments of bis own trajectory: the dual view about the will in the TLP (empirical/transcendetal, facts/values) and with the view shared by the calcul-model of the Intermediary fase (1928-1936). The comparation enable us to rend explicit the role and importance of Schopenhauer for the understanding of the sense of the transcendental of the Logic and of the Ethics (and the Solipsism) of the TLP, of the persisting confusion of the Intermediary Fase about causes and reasons, his way of boarding the mithologies of the 'mental' and of the 'inner life', throught an Agostinin Image of the Will (that we have found in the section 600 of the Ph. 1.), his mature understanding of a 'philosophy of psycology' and, at last, the way for a grammatical dissolution of the 'eternal philosophycal problem' of the 'Freedom and Determinism' / Doutorado / Doutor em Filosofia

Ela tem sido destacada por sua interlocução entre a história e a literatura. O presente trabalho pretende investigar os romances Desmundo (1996) e Dias e Dias (2003), analisando a representação da nação no romance , bem como a representação da personagem feminina nos romances. Seus livros têm como pano de fundo dois momentos fulcrais da história do Brasil: a colonização e os processos de independência. Assim, faz-se necessária uma leitura da história do Brasil, de modo a cotejar a leitura crítica que Miranda faz com a representação dos textos clássicos, como a Carta de Caminha. Por fim, foi feita uma análise de como a escritora apresenta, em sua a obra, a situação da mulher, problematizando e questionando a sociedade patriarcal a partir de temas como o casamento. Para fundamentar este trabalho, foram destacadas várias criticas feministas da literatura, que formularam importantes contribuições sobre a situação da mulher, assim como nomes icônicos da teoria feminista, especialmente, Simone Beauvoir e Virginia Woof. / Ana Miranda is a writer recognized of the Brazilian contemporary literature having been awarded important prizes by Brazilian critics. Shiite has been highlighted by critics for her interlocution between a story and a literature. The present work investigated the novels Desmundo (1996) and Dias e Dias (2003) analyzing the representation of religion in the novel, as well as a presentation of the women's representation in the novels. The novels have a background a vision and a process of independence, as well as a reading of the; history of Brazil, a way of making a critical critique of Miranda makes of the history with Translation, of classic texts, like the Letter of Caminha. Finally, an analysis was made of a writer in her work of a woman, to problematize a patriarchal society, starting with themes such as marriage. The foundation of the work was highlighted by several active women in literature, especially in relation to the situation of women and iconic names in feminist theory, especially Simone Beauvoir and Virginia Woolf.
