O presente trabalho tem como área de estudo o Sistema Cantareira de abastecimento de água. Considerando a importância da gestão ambiental para este sistema e a discussão sobre a problemática relacionada aos recursos hídricos, diversas alternativas foram criadas visando incentivar e orientar o gerenciamento participativo nesta área. Tais inciativas contam com instrumentos governamentais estabelecidos pela política nacional para a proteção ambiental e gestão os recursos hídricos. Como exemplos, pode-se se citar a Política Nacional de Recursos Hídricos, que instaurou os Comitês de Bacias Hidrográficas, e o Sistema Nacional das Unidades de Conservação, que fomentou a criação dos conselhos. Em especial no Sistema Cantareira foram identificados nesta pesquisa três Comitês de Bacias Hidrográficas e 5 Conselhos de Unidades de Conservação. Existe uma sobreposição destes Organismos Consultivos/Gestores na área de estudo deste trabalho. Diante desta realidade apresenta-se a governança e o diálogo de saberes como meios para a gestão no Sistema Cantareira possa ser mais articulada. A governança propõe que novos caminhos teóricos e práticos sejam apresentados e adotados visando estabelecer uma relação alternativa entre o nível governamental e a sociedade civil, o que diante de realidade do Sistema Canteira é importante e necessário. Neste contexto diversos atores com conhecimentos e experiências diversificadas precisam estar envolvidos, e o diálogo de saberes torna-se uma via para que estes conhecimentos dialoguem entre si e sejam confrontados estabelecendo o interconhecimento. Buscando verificar a existência da governança e do diálogo de saberes no Sistema Cantareira adotou-se como metodologia a pesquisa qualitativa realizada em três fases: exploratória que neste trabalho envolveu a pesquisa bibliográfica e a aplicação questionários com perguntas abertas para os representantes de todos os Organismos Consultivos/Gestores presentes no Sistema Cantareira, participaram deste levantamento 79 representantes; a fase do trabalho de campo na qual foram realizadas 18 entrevistas com representantes do Conselho da APA Fernão Dias em Minas Gerais, do Conselho Unificado Gestor Unificado das APAs Piracicaba/Juqueri-Mirim Área II, Sistema Cantareira e Represa Bairro da Usina em São Paulo e do Comitê Federal de Bacias Hidrográficas dos Rios Piracicaba, Capivari e Jundiaí; e por fim a fase de análise dos resultados possibilitou a apresentação de um mapa que demonstra a sobreposição das Unidades de Conservação e dos Comitês de Bacias Hidrográficas no Sistema Canteira e a apresentação e sistematização dos dados obtidos das fases anteriores. Por meio dos resultados obtidos foi possível verificar a necessidade de elaboração de estratégias que ampliem a participação e a mobilização social e que trabalhem o diálogo de saberes nos processos de discussão e decisórios, visando uma articulação das propostas presentes na área de estudos. A pesquisa revelou também que existe potencial para que a governança e o diálogo de saberes aconteçam, tendo em vista a existência dos fóruns de debates existentes e de instrumentos que buscam garantir a participação de diversos atores sociais nas discussões de temáticas relacionadas ao Sistema Canteira. Por fim pode-se concluir que a governança e o diálogo de saberes são importantes elementos para a gestão ambiental e dos recursos hídricos no Sistema Cantareira. / The present work has as study area the Cantareira Water Supply System. Considering the importance of environmental management for this system and the current discussion related to water resources, various alternatives were created aiming to encourage and guide a participatory management in this area. Such initiatives are related to government apparatus established by National Policies for environmental protection and management of water resources. As examples, can be mentioned the National Water Resources Policy, which established the Watershed Committees, and the National System of Protected Areas, which fostered the creation of the councils. For the Cantareira Water Supply System were identified, in this research, three Hydrographic Basin Committees and five Conservation Areas Councils. There is thus an overlap of these Advisory/Management Committees in the study area of this research. Given this reality, this research presents the governance and the dialogue of knowledge as strategies for managing the Cantareira Water Supply System in a more articulate way. The Governance proposes that new theoretical and practical ways are presented and adopted to establish an alternative relationship between government and civil society level which considering the Cantareira Water Supply System reality is important and necessary. In this context, many actors with diverse knowledge and experiences need to be involved, and the dialogue of knowledge becomes a pathway that allows discussions, confront different knowledge\'s, establishing the inter-knowledge. Seeking to verify the existence of governance and dialogue of knowledge in the Cantareira Water Supply System, a qualitative research methodology was adopted, and conducted in three phases. An exploratory work, which involved a literature research and questionnaires, with open questions, application to representatives of all Advisory/Management Committees present in the Cantareira Water Supply System. In this phase and 79 representatives participated in this survey. The phase of fieldwork in which 18 interviews were performed with representatives of the Fernão Dias EPA Council, located in Minas Gerais State, of the Unified Council of the Piracicaba/Juqueri-Mirim area II, the Cantareira System and the Usina Neighborhood EPA\'s, all located in São Paulo State and the Federal Committee of the Piracicaba, Capivari and Jundiaí River Basins. Finally, the stage of results analysis that allowed the presentation of a map that shows the overlap of Protected Areas and Watershed Committees in the Cantareira Water Supply System and presentation data obtained in previous stages. Through the results, it was possible to verify the necessity to develop strategies that enhance the participation and social mobilization and help to cultivate the dialogue of knowledge in discussions and decision-making processes, aiming an articulation of the current proposals to the study area. The survey also revealed that there is potential for governance and dialogue of knowledge to happen, given the existence of forums and instruments that seek to ensure the participation of different social actors in discussions of issues related to the Cantareira Water Supply System. Finally, it can be concluded that the governance and the dialogue of knowledge are important elements for Environmental Management and Water Resources Management in the Cantareira Water Supply System.

L’agriculture reste aujourd’hui verrouillée sur l'utilisation intensive des pesticides malgré leurs effets néfastes sur la santé et l'environnement et en dépit de la multiplication des réglementations restreignant leur utilisation. Les analyses menées sur les situations de verrouillage technologique montrent qu’une solution réside dans la production de connaissances sur des techniques alternatives aux pesticides. A ce titre, le recours au conseil agricole est présenté comme un élément clé. Mais, le conseil a connu en Europe de profondes transformations organisationnelles qui ont abouti à un pluralisme accru des types de prestataires.Dans ce contexte, cette thèse interroge la performance de conseil et sa capacité à produire des connaissances sur des techniques alternatives. En se fondant sur les apports d’analyses en économie institutionnelle des services intensifs en connaissances (KIBS), un cadre conceptuel et méthodologique a été conçu pour analyser la diversité des organismes de conseil, leurs relations et leurs logiques de performance de conseil. Ce travail s’appuie sur l’étude du cas du conseil agricole pour les producteurs de plants de pomme de terre en France. / The adverse effects of pesticides on health and the environment are well known and different regulations aim at decreasing their use in the agricultural sector in France and Europe. However, this use does not decrease in practice. Agriculture is as of yet characterized in academic literature by a technological lock-in on an intensive use of pesticides. Analyses of technological lock-in have shown that one solution is to produce knowledge on alternative techniques. In this regard, agricultural advisory services have a key role. These services have, nonetheless, undergone profound organisational transformations in European countries, leading to a greater pluralism of agricultural service providers.This PhD research questions the performance of farm advisory services and their capacity to produce knowledge on alternative farming practices that does not require an intensive use of pesticides. This work is based on advances from institutional economics dealing with knowledge intensive business services (KIBS). It presents a conceptual and methodological framework developed to analyse the diversity of service suppliers, their partnerships and their conception of the performance of advisory services. The research draws on case studies in the French potato seed industry.

Studies have shown that library employees often choose not to use readers’ advisory tools but to instead rely entirely on their own experience, often doing the library user a disservice. However, very few have looked at why this is so. This thesis looks at to what extent thirty individual employees in thirty Swedish public libraries use readers advisory tools when helping a patron find a good book, with the major focus on what motivates them to use these tools and why some choose not to use them. It was found that readers’ advisory tools where not used with any consistency and that many things influence the library employees’ use of these tools. Among other things, having access to readers’ advisory tools was of course essential, as was that the library employee felt there were no major time constraints. The usability and usefulness of these tools was also central, as was the library employees’ competence and confidence at using them. Many also stated that they had trouble remembering that there were readers’ advisory tools available at all. The optimal tool, according to the participants in this study, is easy to access and easy to use. Outside of these criteria opinions divide on what is most essential, that they are organized by genre and based on the opinions of professionals or that they focus on the reading experience of library patrons. / Program: Bibliotekarie

Hope as Strategy: The Effectiveness of an Innovation of the Mind.

abstract: Students may be situated within complex systems that are nested within each other. This complexity may also envelope institutional structures that lead to the socio-economic reification of student post-secondary opportunities by obscuring positive goals. This may be confounded by community misunderstandings about the changed world that students are entering. These changes include social and economic factors that impact personal and economic freedoms, our ability to live at peace, and the continuing trend of students graduating high school underprepared. Building on previous cycles of action research, this multi-strand mixed-methods study examined the effects of the innovation of the I am College and Career Ready Student Support Program (iCCR). The innovation was collaboratively developed and implemented over a 16-week period using a participatory action research approach. The situated context of this study was a new high school in the urban center of San Diego, California. The innovation included a student program administered during an advisory period and a parent education program. Qualitative research used a critical ethnographic design that analyzed data from artifacts, journals, notes, and the interviews of students (*n* = 8), parents (*n* = 6), and teachers (*n* = 5). Quantitative research included the analysis of data from surveys administered to inform the development of the innovation (*n* = 112), to measure learning of parent workshop participants (*n =* 10), and to measure learning, hope, and attitudinal disposition of student participants (*n* = 49). Triangulation was used to answer the studies’ four research questions. Triangulated findings were subjected to the method of crystallization to search for hidden meanings and multiple truths. Findings included the importance of parent involvement, the influence of positive goals, relational implications of goal setting and pathway knowledge on agentic thinking, and that teacher implementation of the innovation may have influenced student hope levels. This study argued for a grounded theory situated within a theoretical framework based upon Snyder’s Hope Theory and Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological System Theory. Vid telefonsamtalet, som tas emot av en sjuksköterska, bedöms och åtgärdas vårdsökarens ärende. Sjukskrivningar är ett av många ärenden som hanteras. De senaste åren har hanteringen av sjukskrivningar i Svensk hälso- och sjukvård förändrats vilket har orsakat en minskning av antalet sjukskrivningar. Sjuksköterskor har i varierande grad deltagit i denna utveckling och denna studie vill synliggöra sjuksköterskans deltagande i vården av sjukskrivna på vårdcentralen.</p><p>Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av telefonrådgivning på vårdcentralen och speciellt hantering av sjukskrivningar. Studien är kvalitativ med induktiv ansats. Datainsamling har skett genom fokusgruppssamtal med 14 stycken sjuksköterskor som arbetar med telefonrådgivning på tre vårdcentraler. Insamlat material analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.</p><p>Gruppsamtalen visade att sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av telefonrådgivning är att arbetet är kvalificerat och stimulerande. This study will visualize the nurse's participation in the care of patients on sick leave at the primary health care centre.</p><p>The aim was to describe nurses' experiences of telephone advisory services at the primary health care centre and especially the management of sick leaves. The study is qualitative with an inductive approach. Data collection was done through focus group discussions with 14 nurses working with telephone advisory services at three primary health care centres. Collected material was analyzed by qualitative content analysis.</p><p>The group discussions demonstrated nurses' experiences of telephone advisory services as qualified and stimulating. The specific management of sick leave was described as a combination of making assessment, providing patient information and monitoring the patient's rights. Obstructing and enabling circumstances affect nurses telephone advisory services and their management of sick leaves. The obstucitive cirumstances sometimes causes nurses wanting to abdicate responsibility. The study has identified a need to clarify the caring responsibility for nurses in telephone advice services so that nurse's assessments increasingly are based on caring goales.</p>

IT security has become one of the main topics of every enterprise since they all use information technology in their business. Investments have to be done in order to achieve a high protection status of the IT environments. Specially small and medium-sized enterprises need more knowledge and advisory how to handle their IT security. This thesis analyses management tools that have the goal to improve the IT security. The second and main part of the thesis is the design of a tool that should helps to solve the described problems.</p>
