Resumo: Esta dissertação analisa a gastronomia como objeto estético. Assim, considerando a mesma como um campo da estética, recorri da memória gustativa, de fotos de pratos desenvolvidos pelos chefs brasileiros Henrique Fogaça, Rafael Despirite e Helena Rizzo e da linguagem visual de cada um dos restaurantes para construir o que entendo por estética do gosto. Essa pesquisa fundamentou-se na concepção de que o belo não está presente no objeto em si, mas é uma construção do observador, ou do degustador: o fato sensível fundamental para a experiência estética é a vivência pessoal de cada um. A comida une o chef e o degustador através da estética do gosto, do despertar do paladar. Trata da arte de produzir sabores e da recepção desses e suas extensões. Quer pontuar aspectos do papel da alimentação, desde o achamento do Brasil e do desenrolar desse processo no ritual alimentar, que acompanha as mudanças comportamentais ocorridas principalmente na Europa e no Brasil: da necessidade ao requinte, até atingir um mundo de delícia, que chegou a ser aproximado dos pecados da gula e da luxúria. É feita uma narrativa histórica da alimentação desde a Antiguidade clássica até o início da Era moderna, e enfoca o Brasil, com seu sincretismo, e as influências primeiras dos portugueses, dos negros e dos índios, que compõem a nossa originalidade. A argumentação se funda no trabalho dos chefs nominados e na forma como desenvolvem sua linguagem. Do preparo dos ingredientes à apresentação dos pratos, até o ambien- te do restaurante. Considerou-se como ponto de partida a percepção para a apreciação de diversos aspectos dos pratos desses chefs, tais como cor, forma, textura, cheiro, gradações de calor que, aliados às evocações da memória - enfim, a experiência de quem prepara e de quem come - desencadeia o que se considera a estética do gosto / Abstract: Thus, considering it a field of aesthetic, utilizing dishes created by Brazilian chefs Henrique Fogaça, Rafael Despirite and Helena Rizzo and the visual language of their restaurants to make up what I understand as the aesthetic of taste. This research was based on the concept that beauty is not present in the subject itself, but it is a construction of the observer (beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder) or the taster in this case, the most critical and sensitive fact to the aesthetic experience is one's own experience. Food unifies the chef and the taster through the aesthetics of taste, the awakening of the palate. It is about the art of producing flavors and the response to these flavors and their extensions. This will point out some aspects of the role of food since the discovery of Brazil and the unfolding of this process in the eating ritual that follow the behavioral changes, mainly in Europe and Brazil: from the necessity to the exquisiteness, to the point of reaching a world of delight that was very close to the sins of gluttony and luxury. The author makes a historical narrative of food from the ancient world to the early modern age and focusses in Brazil with its syncretism, and the first influences of the Portugueses, africans and native Indians which make up our originality. The argument is based on the work of renown chefs and how they develop their language. From the preparation of the ingredientes and the presentation of the dishes to the ambiance of the restaurant. Tolkien afirmou que o tema central de sua principal obra, O Senhor dos Anéis, é a tensão provocada entre a morte inevitável e a busca pela imortalidade. Diante disso, procurase nesse trabalho verificar de que maneira essa temática influencia a forma do romance e desenvolve uma crítica acerca do papel da arte e da técnica enquanto artigo de valor e fonte memória para seres cuja existência é finita ou seres ligados a um universo em constante transformação. Por um lado, há seres como os elfos que estão ligados diretamente à natureza de Arda e são fadados a não deixá-la até que chegue o seu fim. Esses seres, aparentemente imortais, sofrem com as constantes mudanças no planeta e tentam, através da técnica, agir diretamente sobre o mundo, tentando conservá-lo tal como ele é. Por outro lado, há os homens mortais, que, diante de sua própria mortalidade, buscam ter seus feitos eternizados em obras de arte, como esculturas, tapeçarias ou textos literários. / Abstract: J. R. R. Tolkien declared that the central issue of his major work, The Lord of the Rings, is the tension emerging between the unavoidable death and the search for immortality. Therefore, this study is a research about how that aspect affects the structure of the novel and how it discusses the role of art and technique as a piece of value and a resource of memory available for finite or "immortals" beings, whose existence is linked to a continuously changing world. On the one hand, there are in novel beings such as elves that are directly connected to the nature of Arda and are doomed to remain there until its end. These apparently immortal beings can't bear such constant changes on the planet and employ technical means in order to have an affect on the world and keep it as it is. On the other hand, mortal men, faced with their own mortality, seek out art as a way to have their deeds registered and so kept alive forever in works such as sculptures, tapestry or literary texts. / Mestre

Este espaço escuro também é conhecido como espaço negativo. O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi analisar o corredor bucal durante o sorriso de 150 indivíduos de 10 a 19 anos de idade, verificando se há mudança no tamanho desse espaço em diferentes idades, se há diferença entre os gêneros e se existe uma relação de proporção entre a distância inter pré-molares, a largura inter comissura e o corredor bucal. Foram realizadas fotografias digitais padronizadas em norma frontal do sorriso amplo posado que foram transferidas para um computador e os contornos das imagens dos corredores bucais e sua medida linear foram delimitados e calculados pelo programa Image Tool 3.0. Uma linha entre as comissuras labiais direita e esquerda foi definida medindo a largura inter comissura. A área inter labial do sorriso e do corredor bucal foi delimitada e calculada. As distâncias entre as cúspides vestibulares dos primeiros pré-molares superiores foram medidas em modelos de gesso comum e as mesmas foram transferidas para um computador para posteriores comparações. A análise dos dados foi realizada obtendo estimativas por intervalo de confiança, análise de variância com dois critérios de classificação, comparação múltipla de médias e coeficiente de correlação de Pearson. O corredor bucal aumentou com a idade. Os indivíduos do gênero masculino apresentam corredor bucal maior que os do gênero feminino, porém em relação ao percentual da largura inter comissura não há diferença entre os gêneros. / Abstract: The buccal corridor is defined as the space that exists bilaterally between the vestibular surface of the subsequent superior teeth visible and the labial comissure during the smile. This dark space is also known as negative space. The objective of the present research is to analyze the buccal corridor during the smile of 150 individuals from 10 to 19 years of age, verifying if there is change in the size of that space in different ages and if exists a relationship of proportion among the inter premolar distance, the inter comissure width and the buccal corridor. Digital standardized pictures were accomplished in frontal norm of the posed wide smile that were transferred for a computer and the outlines of the images of the buccal corridors and linear measure were delimited and calculated by the program Image Tool 3.0. A line between the right and left comissures was defined measuring the inter comissure width. The inter labial area of the smile and buccal corridors were delimited and calculated. The distances among the vestibular cusps of the first superior premolars were measured in casts of common plaster and were transferred for a computer for subsequent comparisons. The analysis of the data was accomplished obtaining confidence intervals, analysis of variance with two classification criteria, multiple mean test and Pearson correlation coefficient to complete data. Buccal corridor increases with age. Males have bigger buccal corridor than females, but there is no difference between gender when calculated as percentage related with the inter comissure width. / Mestre

O Mangá, denominação dada às histórias em quadrinhos japonesas, teve como uma de suas primeiras expressões pergaminhos desenhados pelo monge Toba (século XI). Atualmente, os mangás consistem na maior indústria editorial de histórias em quadrinhos do mundo. Há no mercado uma gama enorme de mangás publicados em Língua Portuguesa, os quais têm uma grande repercussão no Brasil, principalmente entre o público jovem. Nesse trabalho, toma-se o mangá como uma forma de expressão humana e, por consequência, um ato de comunicação. Essa dissertação busca, ao analisar os dois primeiros volumes da publicação brasileira da série Neon Genesis Evangelion, verificar se esse mangá possui um caráter estético que o permita transcender a situação de mera produção mercadológica. Manga is the denomination given to Japanese comics. The parchments drew by Monk Toba (11th century) were one of the earliest expressions of this media. Nowadays, manga is the largest editorial comics industry throughout the world. There are in the market a lot of mangas published in Portugueses, which have a great repercussion in Brazil, especially among young people. In this research, manga is understood as form of human expression and, in consequence, as a communication act. It was selected the two firsts Brazilian numbers of Neon Genesis Evangelion series to verify if this manga has an aesthetic character that allowed it to transcend the status of a mere commercial production. Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar as alterações dos tecidos periimplantares, ao redor de implantes instalados em diferentes profundidades em relação à crista óssea, e sob protocolos de reabilitação protética convencional e imediato. Cinco cães receberam trinta implantes, três por hemi-mandíbula (seis por cão), na região dos quatro pré-molares inferiores que foram extraídos 90 dias antes. Cada região foi divida pelos subgrupos convencional (protocolo convencional, instalação da prótese 120 dias após os implantes) e imediato (protocolo imediato, instalação da prótese 1 dia após a cirúrgia de implantes). Os implantes foram inseridos em três profundidades diferentes: ao nível (ao nível do rebordo ósseo), -1 mm (1 mm apicalmente à crista óssea) e -2 mm (2 mm apicalmente à crista óssea). Após acompanhamento por 45 dias da reabilitação instalada foi realizada avaliação clínica e radiográfica e, os dados foram analisados estatisticamente (p< 0.05). A posição do tecido marginal (PTM) não foi alterada pelo protocolo de instalação, e sim pelo nível de inserção da junção implante-conector protético (JIC) em relação a crista óssea (BC). A reabsorção da BC em função do nível de inserção de JIC foi relativamente uniforme para os diferentes grupos. Estes achados sugerem cautela ao posicionar a JIC de implantes apicalmente à BC. / Abstract: The aim of the present study was to evaluate changes in tissues around dental implants inserted in different levels in relation to crestal bone (BC) under early and delayed loading conditions. Thirty implants were inserted in five mongrel dogs were used in this study, from which, the lower premolars were removed, and 90 days after, in one side, three dental implants were inserted (Delayed subgroup, implants installed 120 days before loading) in three different levels in relation to crestal bone (Bone Level, Minus1 and Minus2 groups), and three implants were inserted on remain ridge (Early subgroup, implants were loaded 48 hours after installed). The metallic prostheses were installed in both sides and preserved for 45 days. The clinical and radiographic analyses were performed. Data was submitted to statistics, under a 5% level of significance. The load conditions did not interfered on the position of marginal soft tissues (PTM), those changes evaluated because of the insert level of the implant-abutment junction (JIC) in to BC. The BC resorption was similar in all types of insertion levels of the implants. Para isso compreendemos o juízo estético como fundamental para entender o desdobramento do romantismo germânico, já que defendemos que a estética romântica germânica, influenciada por Kant, proporcionou o desenvolvimento da ciência geográfica antecedida pela paisagem. Neste sentido a compreensão da paisagem do século XIX foi precedida pelos ideais românticos e se firmou, naquele momento, enquanto categoria estética-geográfica; assim, posteriormente, possibilitou o desenvolvimento das ciências da natureza e das ciências humanas, o que resultou na Geografia. Um dos primeiros interlocutores entre o romantismo, as ciências humanas e as ciências da natureza foi Humboldt que baseou suas observações também nos elementos estéticos para a natureza, daí a importância em verificarmos a relação estética na Geografia a partir de Kant, Schelling, Fichte, e Goethe para compreendermos as relações conceituais que compõe a paisagem do século XIX e o desenvolvimento da Geografia / Abstract: This research studies as the Germanic romanticism influenced decisively the reworking of the humanities in this case specifically studied geographical science and its formation from the nineteenth century. To understand this aesthetic judgment as fundamental to understanding the unfolding of Germanic Romanticism, as we argue that the Germanic Romantic style, influenced by Kant, enabled the development of geographical science preceded by the landscape. In order to understand the landscape of the nineteenth century was preceded by romantic ideals and established himself at that moment as an aesthetic category, geographical, so subsequently enabled the development of natural science and humanities, which resulted in Geography. A estrutura geral desta pesquisa está desenvolvida em dois segmentos, sendo que o primeiro focaliza os fundamentos teóricos sobre interpretação musical, suas principais tendências, a teoria da Formatividade de Luigi Pareyson e alguns conceitos complementares de Unberto Eco a propósito dos limites da interpretação. No segundo, apresentamos uma revisão bibliográfica do que já foi pesquisado sobre a literatura violonística do compositor, um panorama geral de sua produção violonística na década de 1970, alguns comentários sobre a gênese dos 12 Estudos, aspectos documentais dos Estudos de Mignone e considerações gerais sobre as diferentes versões dessa obra. Apresentamos também um modelo de aplicação dos conceitos teóricos discutidos no primeiro capítulo, abordando as contribuições técnicas desses Estudos, incluindo soluções para trechos problemáticos e diretrizes interpretativas para essa obra. As considerações finais procuram responder aos questionamentos formulados na introdução, porém de forma não conclusiva, por considerarmos que o modelo de interpretação apresentado é apenas uma possibilidade entre muitas. Os anexos incluem uma Edição Aberta dos 12 estudos de Mignone (fac-símile e urtext), entrevistas e um CD contendo nossa interpretação dos estudos, como resultado prático de uma pesquisa orientada pala sua conjugação com a reflexão teórica. / Abstract: This dissertation deals with musical interpretation and discussses the practical application of theorical principles in Francisco Mignone's Twelve Studies for Guitar.The body of this paper is sstrucstured in two sections. The first focuses on the theoretical foundations of the musical interpretarion, in main trends, Luigi Pareyson's "theory of formativity", as well as some complementary concepts by Umberto Eco on the limits of interpretarion. The second section contains a bibliographic revision about researches on the Mignone's guitar output, an overview of this compositions for guitar on the seventies, and commemtaries about de genesis of his Twelve Studies, philological aspacts and general considerations about the different versions of this work. There is also apractical application of the concepts discussed in the first chapter, presenting the didactic contribuitions of Mignone's Studies, including some solutions fo difficult passages and some interpretative suggestions for this work. The final considerations are an attempt to answer the questions presented in the introduction, but nor in a conclusive way, since we consider that the model of interpretation presented here inonlu one amongst many others. The annexes contain a "Double Edition" of Mignone's Twelve Studies (the original version and our Urtext), complete interviews, and a CD with our interpretation of this work, a a practical result of a research which was guided by the theoretical reflection. / Mestre

Desde então, e em função dos resultados obtidos ao longo do tempo, esta foi sendo alterada de maneira a reduzir os riscos do procedimento e ao mesmo tempo melhorar o resultado estético obtido. Com o aparecimento das fontes de luz para uso odontológico, novas e interessantes possibilidades surgiram e permitiram a utilização de métodos de aceleração que respeitem a fisiologia pulpar, que diminuam o tempo de exposição do paciente aos agentes peróxidos e promovam ainda a obtenção de bons resultados estéticos. Nos dias de hoje, pode-se observar na literatura importantes questionamentos acerca da contribuição efetiva da luz visível no processo e, os efeitos dos agentes peróxidos nas estruturas cristalinas dos dentes, materiais restauradores em geral e tecidos moles. Estas preocupações foram o cerne da motivação para a realização desta pesquisa, sendo assim, este trabalho vem propor uma série de metodologias inovadoras que avaliem através de tecnologias modernas os mecanismos básicos de interação da luz visível com o peróxido de hidrogênio e com os pigmentos orgânicos. Os experimentos aqui demonstrados abordam os fatores críticos relacionados com a eficiência do processo em diferentes substratos por meio de análise de transmitância, de fluorescência e imagens digitais. Com estes estudos pretendemos responder de maneira objetiva algumas das questões que foram observadas serem de fundamental importância no esclarecimento da real eficiência e eficácia da luz no clareamento dental. / Abstract: The dental bleaching is a technique that appeared in the beginning of the XIX century. Since then, and in function of the obtained results a long the time, this has been altered in way to reduce the procedure risks and at the same time improve the aesthetic results. With the rise of light sources to be used in dentistry, new and exciting possibilities appeared and allowed the use of catalytic methods that respect the pulpal physiology, which diminishes the exposure time of the patients to the bleaching agents and provides good aesthetic results. In nowadays, it is possible to observe in the literature important questionings over the real contribution of light in the process and, the effects of the peroxide over the crystalline structure of the teeth, restorative materials and soft tissues. These concerning were the major motivation to the realization of this research, in this way, this work proposes a new series of methods that asses by the use of new technologies the basic mechanisms of visible light interaction with the hydrogen peroxide and with the organic pigments. The experiments here demonstrated study the critical factors related with the process efficiency in different substrates by digital images, transmittance and fluorescence. With these studies we pretend to respond in objective way some questions that were observed to be of fundamental importance in the understanding of the light efficiency and efficacy to the dental bleaching. / Mestre

Este estudo se encontra norteado pela Lei de Diretrizes e Bases para educação - LDB, nº. 9394/96, e pelas Diretrizes Curriculares do Ensino Médio - DCNEM - para uma análise descritiva dos Planos de Ensino da disciplina de Língua Portuguesa dos quais se distendem o Ensino de Literatura. O nosso objetivo é desvelar como são interpretadas pelos educadores as idéias especificadas nos princípios, estético, político e ético do Art. 3º das DCNEM em valores pedagógicos no processo de elaboração dos Planos de Ensino para "ensino de literatura" nas escolas de Ensino Médio de Umuarama - Pr. Este trabalho toma, como parte central da análise, os conteúdos propostos nos documentos das 13 (treze) escolas da rede pública e das 4 (quatro) escolas da rede privada de ensino médio do município a partir do embasamento teórico contido nas revisões bibliográficas utilizadas. Os resultados apurados nesta análise descritiva revelam que, mesmo perante o amparo de uma Lei Federal (LDB) e de uma Lei Estadual (baseada nas DCNEM), o ensino da Literatura, quando subordinado na prática a uma Lei Escolar (Plano de Ensino), denuncia a ocorrência de um paradoxo existente entre a teoria discorrida na legislação e a prática realizada no processo ensino-aprendizagem nas unidades escolares. / Abstract: Aware on the acknowledgement of the aesthetical approach as something relevant to the human formation, as well as on the school role in the cultural education, we see in the Literature teaching the proper instrument for such purpose. This study is based on the LDB (Lei de Diretrizes e Bases) # 9394/96 and on the DCNEM (Diretrizes Curriculares do Ensino Médio) for a descriptive analysis of the Teaching Plans of Portuguese Language, from which come the Literature Teaching. Our goal is to explain how the ideas specified in the aesthetical, political, and ethical, principles of Article 3 of DCNEM are interpreted as pedagogical values upon the elaboration of Teaching Plans for "Literature teaching" at High Schools in Umuarama-Pr. This study starts from the content proposed in the 13 (thirteen) public high schools and the 4 (four) private high schools documents in the city, and from the theoretical background provided by the literature reviews used for the purpose. The gotten results reveal that even supported by a Federal Law (LDB) and a State Law (DCNEM), the Literature teaching when, in the practice, is subordinated to a School Law (Lesson Plan) denounces the existence of a paradox between the legislation's theory and the practice executed in the teaching-learning process in the schools. / Mestre

Orientador: Ana Maria da Costa Santos Menin / Banca: Maria de Lourdes Zizi Trevizan Perez / Banca: Divino José da Silva / Resumo: A pesquisa Livro de imagem: possibilidades de leitura estética teve como objetivo discutir o tema Imagem como via de acesso possível à fruição estética, por meio da análise de dois livros, Cântico dos Cânticos e Cena de Rua, cujas narrativas são constituídas exclusivamente de imagens em seqüência. Para isso, realiza um percurso de reflexão filosófica em torno de termos como alienação, trabalho, arte e fruição, localizando no desdobramento destas instâncias o cerne da fragmentação e da desumanização presentes nas relações humanas contemporâneas. O divórcio entre processos de produção/transformação da natureza ou seja, trabalho - e produto ou obra , responsável pela desumanização crescente nas relações, pode ser superado pela via da arte, que em seu fazer projeta, constrói e aprecia, devolvendo a sensação de inteireza já perdida. Nesse sentido, resgata a conexão entre arte e conhecimento enquanto uma relação especial com o mundo: a de transformação da realidade. Mas somente quando interage com o objeto em suas entranhas é que o leitor consegue fruir esteticamente. No nível da análise dos livros selecionados, a ênfase na leitura dos elementos significantes do discurso visual pretende traduzir essa convicção: a de que, somente mediante simbiose com os constituintes de um código é que efetivamos a leitura estética, fruto da arte. Forjar esse caminho através do Livro de Imagem representou uma opção necessária no caso das obras selecionadas, visto que nelas se encontram potencializadas a sensação de nonsense característica da obra de arte. Assim, na dimensão da leitura imagética, conhecer como funcionam os elementos pictóricos em relação à totalidade de um determinado espaço, e inclusive a forma como se comporta também essa totalidade representam passo fundamental para se chegar à leitura com sentido almejada pelo professor. / Abstract: The research Wordless Book: possibilities of aesthetic reading" discusses the theme "Image" as a possible access road to the aesthetic fruition, through the analysis of two books, "Song of the Songs" and "Street Scene, whose narratives are constituted exclusively of sequenced images. To accomplish that, it sets a course of philosophical reflection around terms like alienation, work, art, and fruition, locating while unfolding in these instances the very kernel of fragmentation and of the present inhumanization in the contemporary human relationships. The divorce between production processes / transformation of Nature - in other words, work - and product - or work, -, responsible for the growing inhumanization in the relationships, can be overcome by way of Art, which in its doing, projects, builds and appreciates, bringing back the wholeness sensation already lost. In the level of the analysis of the selected books, the emphasis in the reading of the visual discourse significant elements intends to translate that conviction: that, only by symbiosis with the representatives of a code is that we execute the aesthetic reading, fruit of Art.
