Resumo: Diante das inúmeras definições de anáfora disponíveis em diferentes estudos linguísticos, não podemos realmente ter certeza de que exista uma definição (que não seja inconvenientemente genérica) que possa ser atribuída univocamente ao conceito de anáfora dentro da Linguística. As definições existentes variam em função de pressupostos dados pelo recorte teórico, ou seja, a anáfora acaba sendo aquilo que chamamos de anáfora, de acordo com a necessidade dos autores. Este trabalho pretende mapear as diversas definições de anáfora e seus conceitos primos, dêixis e correferência, nas diferentes vertentes de estudos linguísticos, tentando capturar as principais distinções de suas assunções teóricas. O objetivo principal deste levantamento é chegar a generalizações possíveis sobre estes conceitos, do tipo "os estudos que assumem uma ontologia que permite objetos do discurso tendem a adotar um tipo de anáfora que não pressupõe correferência". Propomos, para isso, uma metodologia falseacionista baseada na tentativa de refutar hipóteses iniciais sobre o uso dos conceitos em diferentes estudos, postulando-se tipos de anáfora comparadas com correferência e tipos de anáfora comparada com dêixis. O desafio maior é de identificar quais dessas assunções teóricas são relevantes. São propostas categorias como natureza ontológica dos objetos referidos (objetos E versus objetos I) e domínio da anáfora (nível da sentença versus nível de texto), para que elas sejam relacionadas diretamente com os tipos de anáfora postulados.

Com base nos postulados da Gramática Discursivo Funcional, de Hengeveld e Mackenzie (2008), este trabalho pretende mostrar que há uma instância da referenciação que se marca no Componente Gramatical e outra – a da identificação da porção textual de um encapsulamento anafórico – que se resolve no Componente Contextual, postulado conforme Hengeveld e Mackenzie (Inédito). Dialogando com dos trabalhos de Connlly (2007), Cornish (2009) e Stassi-Sé (2012), esse trabalho aponta a necessidade de uma redefinição do Componente Contextual. Essa proposta se confirma por meio da análise de ocorrências de referência por encapsulamento encontradas em textos do gênero artigo de opinião que circulam em duas revistas semanais (Veja e Caros Amigos Online). A análise dessas ocorrências aponta que o fenômeno da referenciação anafórica por encapsulamento articula propriedades de natureza sociocognitiva, discursiva, semântica e morfossintática e que algumas regularidades do seu funcionamento encontram explicação por meio dos níveis e camadas da GDF / The goal of this work is to analyze the functioning of anaphoric encapsulation, taking into account the instances in which this phenomenon takes place. Based on the postulates of Functional Discourse Grammar of Hengeveld and Mackenzie (2008), this study aims to show that there is an instance of referencing that is marked in grammar and another component - the identification of the textual portion of an anaphoric encapsulation - that is solved in the Contextual Component, as postulated by Hengeveld and Mackenzie (Unpublished). By means of a dialogue with the works of Connlly (2007), Cornish (2009) and Stassi-Sé (2012), this study highlights the need for a redefinition of the Contextual Component. This proposal is confirmed by the analysis of reference encapsulation occurrences found in personal opinion texts circulating in two weekly magazines (Veja and Caros Amigos Online). The analysis of those events suggests that the phenomenon of anaphoric referencing through encapsulation articulates properties of socio-cognitive, discursive, semantic and morphosyntactic nature and that some regularities of its functioning are explained through the levels and layers of the FDG

The research is in Linguistics Textual field and it is justified by the significance of this theme, mostly by the context of the education for text production by Portuguese Language that values discursive and pragmatic dimension of written language. Thinking about the objective of the research, we selected a corpus composed by five rewritten stories of Machado de Assis tale called The wallet , and we compared how the referencing is introduced and maintained in the rewritten and the original story. The results show that in the rewritten stories, after introduced the referencing, the students maintained it mostly using the repetition of this referencing, or using pronouns, ellipse, and defined nominal expressions in order to guarantee the referencing progression and the text cohesion. Either in the original text or in the rewritten ones, the results point that the referencing are introduced mostly by names or by defined and undefined nominal expressions. Saying about the resumption and maintenance, the author of the original text uses the pronouns, the referencing repetitions, the ellipse, defined and undefined nominal expressions and indirect anaphora / Neste trabalho de pesquisa, temos por tema a referenciação e objetivamos verificar como ocorre o processo de introdução e de retomada/manutenção de referentes textuais em retextualizações produzidas por alunos no Ensino Fundamental II de uma escola pública da cidade de Mogi Guaçu SP. A pesquisa situa-se no campo da Linguística Textual e justifica-se devido à importância do tema, principalmente em um contexto de ensino de produção de texto em Língua Portuguesa que valorize a dimensão discursiva e pragmática da língua escrita. Tendo-se em vista o objetivo da pesquisa, selecionamos um corpus composto por cinco retextualizações elaboradas em relação a um conto de Machado de Assis e comparamos modos de constituição e de manutenção de referentes no texto-fonte e nas retextualizações selecionadas. Os resultados indicam que nas retextualizações os alunos, após introduzirem o referente, mantém-no em saliência predominantemente por meio de repetição, pronominalização, elipse e expressões nominais definidas, garantindo a progressão referencial e a coerência do texto. Tanto no texto-fonte como nas retextualizações, os resultados apontam que os referentes textuais são introduzidos principalmente por nomes próprios e por expressões nominais definidas e indefinidas. Quanto às retomadas, o autor do texto-fonte utiliza a pronominalização, a repetição de referentes, a elipse, expressões nominais definidas e indefinidas e anáfora indireta

The difficulty of reading and understanding observed in classroom guided the accomplishment of this research.The objective of this work is to contribute for the studies of Portuguese Language with special prominence for the reading. The specific objectives are: 1 - To observe and to reflect on the strategies of referencing used by the reader to process the enrolled information in the opinion article, having for parameter the study of the anaphoric relations. 2 - To verify and to demonstrate the paper of the anaphoras to assure the progression semantics of the literal reference, as well as the production of decurrent direction of its use. To reach the objectives, we consider authors who deal with the referencing, as Mondada and Dubois (1995, 2003), Koch (2003, 2006), Koch and Elias (2006), among others. The referral strategies were discussed from the perspective of Apothéloz and Reichler-Béguelin (1995).Is the same lection by Koch and Elias (2006), Kleiman (2002), Pozo (2002), amongst others. About the study of genres and textual sequences the theoretical basement has for anchorage the studies of in Marcuschi (2005, 2006, 2008), of Bonini et. alli. (2005), of Adam (1992), and Charaudeau (2009). The results gotten in the analysis of the opinion article indicate that the anaphoric strategies guarante the progression of the reference in the text and by means of them if they provide directions that provide the reading comprehension, a time who they are linked to cognitive and linguistic processes.Therefore, the reading process is responsible for the deciphering both the textual strategies and cognitive that constitute the direction of the text / Esta dissertação insere-se na linha de pesquisa Leitura, Escrita e Ensino da Língua Portuguesa e tem como objeto de estudo a relevância das anáforas, marcas que garantem a progressão da referência e a construção de sentidos no texto. A dificuldade de leitura e compreensão observada em sala de aula orientou a realização da pesquisa. O objetivo deste trabalho é contribuir para os estudos de Língua Portuguesa com especial destaque para a leitura. Os objetivos específicos são: 1 - Observar e refletir sobre as estratégias de referenciação empregadas pelo leitor para processar as informações inscritas no artigo de opinião, tendo por parâmetro o estudo das relações anafóricas. 2 - Verificar e demonstrar o papel das anáforas para assegurar a progressão semântica da referência textual, bem como a produção de sentido decorrente de seu uso. Para atingirmos os objetivos, consideramos autores que tratam da referenciação, como Mondada e Dubois (1995, 2003), Koch (2003, 2006), Koch e Elias (2006), entre outros. This way, we will bring together studies about the hypertextual writing (Xavier, 2002; Crystal, 2001; Marcuschi, 2004; Espéret, 1996 and Komesu, 2005), and studies about the discourse reference, concept understood as an activity by which the subjects, as partners in the interaction, build and re-build, in and by the discourse, the objects they want to refer to (cf.: Mondada and Dubois, 2003; Koch, 2004, 2005 and 2008; Marcuschi, 2001, 2005, 2006 and 2007). Among the discourse reference studies, it s relevant to mention here the phenomenon named indirect anaphors as the way it s understood by Schwarz (2000) and Marcuschi (2005). Owing to the objective of this research, we selected a digital forum, set on the worldwide web and, from this forum, we extracted messages produced by users during the discussion of a specific discursive topic. The results of the analysis show that in the course of the interaction, the inter-actors build anaphors with no previous referent that is able to be pointed out in the text, because they are merely suggested in the discursive memory or in the co-text, using words or expressions that work as their anchors . Nonetheless, these anaphors, far from compromising the interacting, they remark the fundamental multi-linearity of a given text and contribute to the textual progression and the global coherence / O presente trabalho tem por finalidade apresentar uma análise da referenciação em fóruns digitais, mais especificamente, no tocante à constituição de anáforas indiretas no desenvolvimento de um tópico discursivo. Articularemos, desse modo, estudos voltados para a escrita hipertextual (cf.: Xavier, 2002; Crystal, 2001; Marcuschi, 2004; Espéret, 1996 e Komesu, 2005) e estudos sobre a referenciação concebida como atividade por meio da qual os sujeitos participantes de uma interação constroem e reconstroem no e pelo discurso os objetos a que fazem referência (cf.: Mondada e Dubois, 2003; Koch, 2004, 2005 e 2008; Marcuschi, 2001, 2005, 2006 e 2007). No conjunto dos estudos sobre a referenciação, ganha relevância, nesta pesquisa, o fenômeno denominado de anáforas indiretas como compreendido por Schwarz (2000) e Marcuschi (2005). Tendo em vista o objetivo da pesquisa foi selecionado um fórum digital constituído na rede mundial de computadores e, desse fórum, extraídas mensagens produzidas por participantes no curso da discussão de um determinado tópico discursivo. Os resultados da análise indicam que no curso da interação em fórum digital os interactantes constroem anáforas cujo referente não pode ser localizado pontualmente no texto, visto que estão apenas sugeridos na memória discursiva ou no cotexto por meio de palavras ou expressões que servem de âncoras . No entanto, essas anáforas, longe de comprometer a interação, assinalam a multilinearidade constitutiva do texto e contribuem para a progressão textual e o plano da coerência global

The research, under the viewpoint of Textual Linguistics, justifies itself through the relevance of the theme, mainly due to a lack of works of this textual sort, which circulated during the Middle Ages. Keeping the objective of the research in mind, two of Fernão Lopes chronicles were chosen, having as their theme the romance between D. Pedro I and Inês de Castro, in which the direct and indirect anaphoras used in the construction of the discourse objects were analyzed, for the understanding of the text as a whole, seeing that such objects are built from a determined historical context. The results indicate that Fernão Lopes, in his chronicles, after having introduced the references, keeps us bound predominately by using pronominalizations, repetitions, defined nominal expressions and elipses, ensuring the flow of the text and the textual coherence. Indirect and associative anaphoras are used with less frequency / Nesta dissertação, temos por tema o processo de referenciação e por objetivo analisar os processos anafóricos diretos e indiretos para a (re)construção dos objetos de discurso e destes para o sentido do texto, em crônicas produzidas na Idade Média por Fernão Lopes. A pesquisa, sob o ponto de vista da Linguística Textual, justifica-se pela relevância do tema, principalmente dada a falta de trabalhos em torno desse gênero textual, que circulava na Idade Média. Tendo-se em vista o objetivo da pesquisa, selecionamos duas crônicas de Fernão Lopes, tendo como tema o romance entre D. Pedro I e Inês de Castro, em que foram analisadas as anáforas diretas e indiretas empregadas na construção dos objetos de discurso, para a compreensão do texto como um todo, já que tais objetos são construídos a partir de um determinado contexto histórico. Os resultados indicam que Fernão Lopes, em suas crônicas, após a introdução dos referentes, mantém-nos ressaltados predominantemente por meio de pronominalizações, repetições, expressões nominais definidas e elipses, garantindo a progressão do texto e a coerência textual.
