No. of bitstreams: 1 dissertacao arnaldo a f junior 2010.pdf: 919977 bytes, checksum: 6e722542f78727f3ec1a8429633330f5 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-08-20 / The research on the interrelationship of the field of Critical Discourse Studies at the possibilities of construction of citizenship from the ideals Arendt of action and speech. To this end, we sought, from these theories, examine the processes of construction of citizenship from speeches about the accident with a capsule containing cesium-137 chloride in Goiania in 1987. Since the analysis focused on the speech conveyed by the print media in major newspapers printed at the time. The research was structured after a literature review about the historical events of the accident, for this part of the work on the methodological procedures that guided the research were provided by the Content Analysis - AC, which in turn is configured in methodology and technique appropriate to the analysis of communication because the content analysis is a research technique that aims to describe objectively, systematically and quantitatively the manifest content of communication. For studies of minority groups, the methodology CA was important because it allowed the deconstruction of the discourse units of analysis and their reconstruction in order to identify the assumptions of discursive emitting nucleus of media messages. In preparation of inferences about the data, they were analyzed theoretically, as units of analysis arising from Critical Discourse Studies, and the perspective of citizenship that emphasizes that this category exists when the individual is able to act without the intervention of others and yet is able to advertise themselves using the discourse, ensuring there for you and others like him from the same shared reality. The context in which this research took place is set in what is called in literature in Peripheral Societies, where the elements you have to build citizenship do not emphasize human factors listed at the beginning, which in turn produces social situations of subordination and building the subcidadão, ie people who are below what one would consider the minimum for the status of citizen was present. Therefore the conclusions drawn from this research go in that is by examining the ability of speech and access to means of production and reproduction discourse that we must seek the prospects for citizenship in the social context that was presented briefly, using the possible theoretical dialogue between the Critical Studies of Discourse Arendt and frames of action and speech, which, one hopes, can discern the consequences of media discourses to construct undercitizenship and naturalization of social injustices and inequalities.

Analýza hrozieb a rizík súvisiacich so správou dokumentov v telekomunikačnej spoločnosti / Analysis of threats and risks related with document management in the telecommunications company

Legát, Tomáš January 2012 (has links)
Diploma thesis is dedicated to the analysis of threats and risks related with document management in a real enterprise -- big telco company. For document management company utilizes a complex solution called application DMS which is implemented on IBM FileNet P8 platform. In my work I will concentrate on risks linked with operation of DMS application. Along with the description of DMS application and document management I will mention problems perceived from the external supplier's point of view. These problems will be the basis for identification of the risks for the company emerging from the operation of DMS application. Subsequently I will evaluate risks and propose solutions to handle or avoid these risks. I will put proposed solutions into the sequence, in which they should be implemented while considering nature of the risk and financial demands of the proposed solution. Contributions of my work are list of identified risks and list of solutions which both can be used for assigning priorities of the change requests carried out in 2013 and possibly during discussions about budget increase for the DMS application operation.

Foram analisadas as revistas Estadunidenses TIME, The New Yorker e Popular Science, e as revistas brasileiras Veja e Superinteressante. This doctoral thesis aimed to analyze the media coverage of the pesticide DDT since its first appearance in the media, in 1944, until 2014. The established objective was to identify the main narratives used to talk about DDT and the observed discourse changes related to it throughout the period of time aforementioned. This was achieved by looking into selected media from two countries that have a relevant history concerning DDT: The United States and Brazil. The first was chosen because it was a heavy user and a strong advocate for DDT use from the 1940s to the 1960s, and also because it was the vortex of a debate that led to the DDT world ban in the 1970s; the second was included in the analysis to offer a counterpoint to the first, justified by a very distinct difference in cultural, geographic, economic and demographic aspects. The United States¿ magazines TIME, The New Yorker, and Popular Science were analyzed, and also the Brazilian magazines Veja and Superinteressante. The research identified a single discourse flip in the media coverage, in 1967, when DDT stopped being majorly seen as beneficial and started being predominantly faced as harmful. The quantitative analysis of the 711 media units that composed the data set showed oscillations in the coverage intensity during the 70 years studied, with a highlight to a peak between 1969 and 1971; such variations were interpreted bringing the historical and cultural context of each period and considering the trajectory of the environmental movement, the scientific journalism and of science itself. Additionally, the thesis was structured aiming to demystify the role of the North American biologist Rachel Carson in the DDT ban, investigating her influence in the DDT discourse trajectory not only when the Silent Spring was published, in 1962, but also observing in which ways her portraying as a symbol evolved in the following decades until reaching today¿s representations / Doutorado / Aspectos Biológicos de Sustentabilidade e Conservação / Doutora em Ambiente e Sociedade

Frivillig hållbarhetsinformation – ett oreglerat område : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av frivillig hållbarhetsinformation hos tio svenska företag. / A qualitative analysis of content of voluntary sustainability information at ten Swedish companies.

Pellesgård, Tea, Andersson, Katarina January 2023 (has links)
Background: During the last decade a trend has developed, both nationally and internationally, where sustainability has become highly relevant. Since 2017 thereis a law in Sweden that stipulates that some companies are required to create a sustainability report, but only 0,1 percent of all Swedish companies are covered by the law. Even though a company does not have a legal requirement to create a sustainability report, there are still companies that voluntarily share non-financial information. This tendency for companies to voluntarily share sustainability information leads to an interest to study what kind of voluntary sustainability information companies considers to be essential to share when there are no lega lrequirements. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to critically analyze sustianability information that is being shared voluntarily by companies to compare the content and design of the information and to provide an understanding for what can explain or influence the information. Method: In this study a qualitative analysis of content was applied together with acomparative design to carry out a comparative study of sustainability information at ten Swedish companies. The analysis was based on different themes to identify the content and design of the sustainability information and to determine if there are any similarities or differences. Conclusion: After comparing the sustainability information shared by ten companies it is clear that there are large variations regarding both the content and design. For example there are variations in what format that is being used to present the information, the number of pages and how detailed the work with sustainability is described. These variations can be explained by the companies industry affiliation, standardized frameworks, Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) and theories of business economics.

Políticas públicas de cultura no estado de São Paulo: uma análise do Legislativo Paulista (2001-2016) / Public policies of culture in the state of São Paulo: an analysis of the Paulista Legislative (2001-2016)

Panosso, Tatiana Lima Sarmento 24 September 2018 (has links)
Como resultados podem-se destacar a consideração que existe uma deficiência na representatividade da população do estado de São Paulo na ALESP e que a cultura não é prioridade para os deputados paulistas / This dissertation has as objective identifying the role of São Paulo state Legislative House (ALESP) in the production of public policies of culture to those it represents from 2001 to 2016. The specific objectives are 1) to analyze the legislative behavior concerning the theme \"culture\"; 2) to include in the study what are the actions and thoughts on culture; 3) to identify how the term \"culture\" appears in parliamentary initiatives related to public policies and 4) to analyze the contribution of each legislature in the light of culture development in the state of São Paulo. The approach has been developed based on the discussion of the concept of culture, from authors of Cultural Studies (WILLIAMS, 1969; 1989; 2007; THOMPSON, 1998; BAPTISTA, 2009; HALL, 2003; CEVASCO, 2003). Zobrazení politického Východu v karikatuře ve francouzském časopise Le Canard enchaîné v období 1945-1970 / Picture of the political East in the caricature in the French magazine Le Cannard enchîné in 1945-1970

Walsh, Diana January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of caricatures with a theme of the Eastern block in French satirical weekly magazine Le Canard enchaîné in 1945-1970. By the Eastern block, we understand the Soviet Union and its associated socialistic countries. The thesis is anchored in the theoretical part by historical context of the history of the eastern countries, as well as by the development of analysed weekly magazine on the background of the history of France, by the formulation of the concepts of caricature and satire, including important authors, and the research methods themselves. Triangulation, in this case the combination of quantitative content analysis and semiotic analysis, aims to analyse individual caricatures with the theme of the East and its individual countries. The analysed periods are divided into two sections, due to the availability of materials, namely 1945-1948 and 1968-1970.

Extrakce parametrů pro výzkum interpretačního výkonu / Extraction of parameters for the research of music performance

Laborová, Anna January 2021 (has links)
Different music performances of the same piece may significantly differ from each other. Not only the composer and the score defines the listener’s music experience, but the music performance itself is an integral part of this experience. Four parameter classes can be used to describe a performance objectively: tempo and timing, loudness (dynamics), timbre, and pitch. Each of the individual parameters or their combination can generate a unique characteristic performance. The extraction of such objective parameters is one of the difficulties in the field of Music Performance Analysis and Music Information Retrieval. The submitted work summarizes knowledge and methods from both of the fields. The system is applied to extract data from 31 string quartet performances of 2. movement Lento of String Quartet no. 12 F major (1893) by czech romantic composer Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904).
