Diluída em um projeto muitas vezes lido como autobiográfico, a existência da personagem nomeada como Autor, sua atuação diferenciada na trama e seus mecanismos performáticos propõem uma narrativa complexa e que pode ser lida em diversos níveis: desde um mais elementar, no qual a criação literária é mais uma vez encenada como bastidor, até desdobramentos mais filosóficos, em que a própria condição da linguagem é especulada em sua possibilidade de criação de uma realidade autônoma e ritualizada como performance. Portanto, são inseridas as difíceis questões como voz, inspiração e autoria. / Abstract: The present paper proposes a study of the issues concerning authorial voice representation in Clarice Lispector's Um sopro de vida: pulsações, published posthumously in 1978. Diffused into a project commonly understood as autobiographic, the existence of the character named Autor, its unlike performance through the plot, and its performative mechanisms propose a complex narrative read in various levels: from the most elementary, in which literary creation is, once again, performed as an offstage; until more philosophical developments, in which language condition itself is investigated due to its creation possibility of an autonomous reality, ritualized as performance. The purposes of this study were to investigate the possible therapeutic and educational effects of writing an autobiography in an undergraduate developmental psychology course, to explore the role of structure in writing an autobiography, and to determine if any significant sex differences exist in the effects of writing an autobiography.

This thesis is an examination of the autobiography of Parley P. Pratt in light of current American autobiography research, intended to assert its worthiness for greater consideration by scholars of American culture. The findings suggest that the Autobiography of Parley P. Pratt is comparable to other works now included in the canon of American autobiography such as Jonathan Edward's "Personal Narrative," Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography and Henry David Thoreau's Walden. Critical theories on the above autobiographies are applied to the Autobiography of Parley P. Pratt in order to show its applicability to the current dialogue of American autobiography. Finally, the theories of Frederick Jackson Turner and Harold Bloom are applied to the Autobiography of Parley P. Pratt in order to demonstrate that Parley P. Pratt is a quintessential nineteenth-century, frontier American, and that his Autobiography can be used as a tool for greater understanding of American culture.

[pt] Diante do atual interesse pelas escritas de construção de selves, haja vista a proliferação de suas manifestações e incessante processo de reinvenção, discutimos nesta dissertação o romance The Autobiography of an Ex-colored Man de James Weldon Johnson, lançado anonimamente em 1912. Partindo da descrição das estratégias autobiográficas nele adotadas, evidenciamos seu caráter camaleônico e performático, tanto na construção da narrativa, quanto na vivência identitária do narrador-personagem. Nessa perspectiva, elucidamos como o procedimento literário adotado por Johnson deixa entrever também uma dimensão de crítica política e cultural. A partir disso, apresentamos uma leitura alternativa da obra através da conceituação do termo autobiografia cultural . Para tanto, refletimos sobre as categorias já existentes relativas ao espaço autobiográfico, mostrando seus limites e possibilidades: de um lado, discutimos suas insuficiências para pensar o romance; de outro, mostramos até que ponto corroboram a proposição do conceito alternativo, que aqui sugerido: o termo autobiografia cultural . / [en] Given the current interest in the writings of themselves construction, due to the proliferation of its manifestations which are in constant reinvention process, we discuss in this dissertation the novel The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man written by James Weldon Johnson, issued anonymously in 1912. From the description of the autobiography strategies adopted in it, we show it s chameleonic and performative character, both in narrative construction and identity experience of the narrator-character. In this perspective, we elucidate how Johnson s literary procedure suggests a dimension of political and cultural criticism. From this moment, we present an alternative reading of the book through the definition of the term cultural autobiography . Therefore, we reflect on the categories of autobiographical space, highlighting theirs limits and possibilities – on one hand, we discuss theirs insufficient to think of the novel; on the other hand, we show to what extent they corroborate to define the alternative concept that it is suggest here: the term cultural autobiography . BAKGRUND: Självskadebeteende är ett impulsivt beteende där de drabbade medvetet tillfogar sig själva kroppsliga skador med motivet att lindra sin känslomässiga oro. Beteendet ses ofta hos unga vuxna och ger upphov till många känslor i samhället och är väldigt stigmatiserat. SYFTE: Syftet är att beskriva patienters upplevelser av vårdpersonalens bemötande vid självskadebeteende. METOD: En litteraturstudie baserad på självbiografier och biografier som analyserats med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. RESULTAT: Resultatet visar att patienter med självskadebeteende anser att vårdpersonalen saknar kunskap om självskadebeteende och hur det ska behandlas. Personalen är osäkra och nedlåtande i sitt förhållningssätt, tar inte patienterna på allvar och hela vårdprocessen tyngs av organisationen och dess regler vilket inskränker på patienternas rättigheter. Vårdrelationen har också stor betydelse för tillfrisknande. SLUTSATS: Patienter med självskadebeteende har många negativa upplevelser av bemötandet hos vårdpersonal och detta påverkar deras process mot ett tillfrisknande. För att kunna ge effektiv, kvalitativ och individanpassad vård som främjar tillfrisknande i helandeprocessen är det viktigt och meningsfullt att personalen skaffar sig tillräcklig kunskap om självskadebeteende. Genom detta kan de få bättre förståelse för beteendet och individen bakom ärren.

Bakgrund: Bröstcancer är en av de vanligaste cancerdiagnoserna bland kvinnor och varje år drabbas cirka 8000 kvinnor. När kvinnorna drabbas av bröstcancer kommer cancerbeskedet ofta oväntat och kan medföra ett stort lidande. Efter olika behandlingar sker en förändring av kvinnans kropp och kvinnorna upplever att deras kvinnlighet och identitet går förlorad. Kvinnorna måste lära sig att leva med och acceptera förändringen, detta är en daglig utmaning för många av kvinnorna. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med bröstcancer. Metod: En kvalitativ datainsamling användes och åtta självbiografiska böcker skrivna av kvinnor som upplevt hur det är att leva med bröstcancer lästes. Biografierna analyserades med hjälp av en narrativ analys. Resultat: I analysen framkom tre kategorier; en förändrad livssituation, att inte vara ensam och en förlorad kvinnlighet. Diskussion: När kvinnorna drabbas av bröstcancer förändras deras livsvärld och ett lidande uppstår. Att övervinna cancern och öka välbefinnandet är det stora målet. För att klara av att leva krävs bra information och ett bra stöd. Möjligheten till en bättre hälsa kan då upplevas. Slutsats: Kvinnornas livsvärld förändras och behovet av stöd är viktigt. När sjuksköterskan har kunskap om kvinnornas upplevelser ökar förutsättningarna för personcentrerad vård.
