It will highlight and study simultaneously the repeated references from the text to the photography and to the photographic. It is a matter of showing that when the technical images photographies, movies, video and television , populate the world, they make us think about the real and the imaginary, essential elements of the literary production which borrows the visuality and ambivalences of the photography, bringing visuality to the words themselves. Methodologically, these developments will be based on the concept of dialogism, as defined by Bakhtin, and on an ensemble of critical theories about photography, with special attention to the thoughts of Roland Barthes, Philippe Dubois e Vilém Flusser. But, to comply with the creative universe of the author, it is made reference also to the three psychical references of real, imaginary and symbolic (RSI), as proposed by Lacan, and also, to the mirror showed by the lacanian psychoanalysis on the definition of the "mirror stage" concept, since it constitutes a confirmation of the duplicity in the core of human subjectivity. The investigation shall have two phases. First, the theme of the "double" itself will be examined highlighting, on the novel, the optical mechanisms that have the duplication, the mirror and the technical image as their purpose and considering the photography as a paradigm for the image production on the modern society of the nineteenth century. Afterwards, we will analyze how the construction happens through the verbal or "verbo-visual" sign on the novel Budapeste, and its relation with the author's work / O presente trabalho tem por objetivo assinalar os processos intersemióticos notadamente aqueles que envolvem escritura e fotografia, na obra Budapeste de Chico Buarque. Inseparavelmente disso, enfocará as temáticas do duplo e do espelho sempre relacionado às representações fotográficas. Joga-se com a hipótese de que as representações técnicas, ao povoarem o mundo, fazem-nos questionar sobre o real e o imaginário, elementos indispensáveis na produção literária que empresta da fotografia sua visualidade e ambivalências, trazendo a visualidade para o corpo das palavras. Metodologicamente, esses desenvolvimentos se apoiarão no conceito de dialogismo , tal como o definiu Bakhtin, e num conjunto de teorias críticas para a fotografia, com destaque para os pensamentos de Roland Barthes, Philippe Dubois e Vilém Flusser. Mas para dar conta do universo criativo do autor, faremos também referência às três dimensões psíquicas propostas por Lacan, do real, imaginário e simbólico (RSI) e, ainda, ao estágio do espelho trazido à baila por sua teoria psicanalítica, uma vez que esse estágio se constitui numa verificação da duplicidade no âmago mesmo da subjetividade humana. A investigação deverá desenrolar-se em duas etapas. Em primeiro lugar, discutir-se-á o tema do duplo propriamente dito, destacando-se no romance os mecanismos ópticos que têm como finalidade a duplicação, o espelho e as imagens técnicas, e considerando-se a fotografia como paradigma para a produção das imagens na sociedade moderna do século XIX. We seek to reflect on the process of building the narrative, focusing on discourse. To meet this goal, we have raised the following question: Does Chico Buarque s Budapest translate modern values in a way as to consolidate, in the present, one of the many possible forms of the novel? In an attempt to try to answer this question, we have worked with the following hypothesis: Discursivity offers a power field in which the epic provides a poetic answer to the modern values in Budapest. The theoretical basis of this study is, mainly, Bakhtin s theory of the novel since it offers elements that enable us not only to discuss the novel as a genre, revealing man in transformation, but also to support the multiple voices responsible for bringing out the richness in the discourse that builds Budapest. This study also takes into consideration, as a support for the analysis, the historical and cultural contexts of the novel while addressing the concepts of modern, modernity, and post-modernity, in order to think the logic behind Buarque s writing and the values it embodies. This study is divided in three chapters in which we attempt to explore the discursive variety of the novel highlighting certain aspects of modern poetics, among which are concision, completeness and visuality. Among other things, we conclude that Budapest reflects its own production; and it indirectly criticizes, in its making, the so-called post-modernity and, because of amplitude and originality, it has a modern character which bestows atemporality to the narrative / A presente dissertação tem como objetivo estudar o romance Budapeste, de Chico Buarque. Busca refletir sobre o processo de construção da narrativa, enfocando o discurso. Para tentar alcançar essa meta, levanta a seguinte indagação: O romance Budapeste de Chico Buarque traduz, em sua composição, valores modernos, de modo a consolidar, na contemporaneidade, uma das variantes possíveis da forma romanesca. Na tentativa de responder a essa problemática, seleciona a hipótese: A discursividade oferece um campo de forças, no qual o épico dá uma resposta poética aos valores modernos de Budapeste. A fundamentação teórica que norteia este trabalho é, primordialmente, a teoria do romance de Mikhail Bakhtin, uma vez que oferece reflexões não só para discutir o romance enquanto gênero, revelando o homem em devir, mas também para sustentar a multiplicidade de vozes, mostrando a fecundidade do discurso que constrói Budapeste. Leva também em consideração, como suporte para análise, o contexto histórico-cultural do romance, ao abordar conceitos como moderno, modernidade e pós-moderno, visando meditar a respeito da lógica escritural buarqueana, a respeito dos valores que enraíza. O trabalho procura explorar, ao longo dos três capítulos, a riqueza discursiva do romance, ressaltando, ainda, aspectos relacionados com a poética moderna, dentre eles, a concisão, a completude, a visualidade. Entre outras conclusões, apreende-se que o romance Budapeste reflete sobre a própria produção; indiretamente, critica, em seu fazer-se, a contemporaneidade nomeada pós-moderna e, por sua amplitude e originalidade, revela um caráter moderno, imprimindo à narrativa uma atemporalidade

A problemática da autoria tem ganhado uma nova roupagem na contemporaneidade. Não se pode mais reconhecer o poder e a influência que o autor outrora exercia sobre suas produções artísticas, pois a sua identidade como tal se confunde com a da "pessoa real". Essa questão da identidade autoral será discutida e problematizada através da figura do duplo. O tema do duplo, tão caro à história da literatura será então empregado como elemento desconstrutor da figura do autor. Esse deixará de ser aquele que carrega consigo uma série de expectativas e juízos de valor com relação ao conjunto de suas produções, dando lugar ao um outro - o duplo -, estranho ao leitor. Assim, cabe a questão do que restará quando a marca do autor for esvaziada, quantas serão as vozes que abrirão caminho ao discurso narrativo e o que irá caracterizar a figura do autor contemporâneo. São estas as questões que impulsionaram a redação da presente dissertação. Neste trabalho será analisada a questão da autoria e da identidade a partir da figura do duplo em dois romances contemporâneos, a saber: Budapeste de Chico Buarque de Hollanda e Vom Dorf de Antje Rávic Strubel. A escolha de um romance brasileiro e de outro alemão visa explicitar que a problemática da autoria é uma questão atual e que encontra expressão em diferentes contextos literários, como o alemão e o brasileiro. A questão é complexa e encontra desdobramentos nas novas formas de comunicação e tem relação direta com o processo de globalização. Iremos fazer um recorte transversal abordando a história do desenvolvimento do duplo na literatura, suas origens, os romances nos quais se manifestam suas diferentes expressões. Em seguida adentraremos o terreno movediço da problemática da identidade sempre tendo como foco a visão diacrônica da questão e em por fim apresentaremos a constituição histórica da figura do autor e suas implicações para a crítica literária. Num outro momento verificaremos como esses elementos são expressos nos romances em questão / The issue of authorship has gained a new look nowadays. This question of authorial identity is discussed and analyzed through the figure of the double. This will no longer be one that carries a lot of expectations and judgments with respect to all of their productions, giving place to another - the double - strange to the reader. Thus, it is the question of what is left when the signature of the author is emptied, how many are the voices that will pave the way to discourse and narrative that will characterize the figure of the contemporary author. These are the issues that prompted the writing of this dissertation. This work will examine the question of authorship and identity from the figure of the double in two contemporary novels, namely: Budapeste by Chico Buarque de Hollanda and Vom Dorf by Antje Rávic Strubel. The choice of a Brazilian novel and other German states explicitly that the issue of authorship is a topical issue which is expressed in different literary contexts, such as Germany and Brazil. The issue is both complex and developments in new forms of communication and is directly related to the globalization process. We will make a cross-sectional addressing the developmental history of the double in literature, its origins, the novels which reveal their different expressions. Then we enter the quagmire of problems of identity always focusing on the diachronic view of the matter and finally introduce the historical figure of the author and its implications for literary criticism. At another time we will check how these elements are expressed in the novels in question

O objetivo deste é trabalho é refletir sobre os modos de leitura da prosa contemporânea, a partir do romance Budapeste, de Chico Buarque. Investigaram-se os fatores que permeiam as discussões sobre a publicação da obra, em 2003, ressaltando a crítica jornalística que, por ocasião do lançamento do livro, apontou, por inúmeras vezes, o valor literário do texto de Chico Buarque, assim como do artista, e as leituras que se deram na universidade, espaço de criação e de difusão de diversos estudos, dissertações de mestrado e teses de doutorado, produzidos, na última década, sobre o romance. Desta forma, propõe-se uma análise da repercussão do romance Budapeste no cenário literário contemporâneo, a partir das críticas jornalísticas e dos trabalhos acadêmicos produções que se voltaram à divulgação ou à investigação do romance. A presente dissertação não se baseia na análise da história da crítica literária, antes, tece uma apresentação da produção crítica no Brasil, destacando a sua importância, como forma de contextualizar as discussões apresentadas / The objective of this work is to reflect on ways of reading of contemporary prose, exemplified, in this dissertation, by the novel Budapest, by Chico Buarque, from the perspective of criticism and academia. The factors involved in the discussions about the publication of the work in 2003 were investigated, emphasizing journalistic criticism that, at the launch of the book, inumerously pointed out the literary value of the text of Chico Buarque, as well as the artist and publications that proliferated at universities, which are spaces of creation and dissemination of various studies, dissertations and doctoral theses produced in the last decade about the novel. Thus, an analysis of the impact of the novel Budapest in the contemporary literary scene is proposed, using journalistic criticism and scholarly work productions that have aimed at the disclosure or the investigation of the novel. This work is not based on the analysis of the history of literary criticism, but rather weaves a presentation of the critical production in Brazil, highlighting its importance as a way to contextualize the discussions presented

Para tanto, serão utilizadas as constantes viagens do protagonista do romance Budapeste, de Chico Buarque, para discutir as questões que serão apresentadas. Essa interferência atua no sentido de favorecer a articulação de uma espécie de jogo, cujo ponto alto se encontra no final do livro, quando então se depara com uma estrutura que se fecha em abismo, servindo ao mesmo tempo como resolução da trama, revelação da história principal e convite à releitura. Com isso é gerado um acúmulo semântico que desautomatiza a recepção, tal como ocorre na poesia, reforçando a idéia da centralidade das questões relativas à língua e à linguagem dentro da obra / Starting with narrative structure‟s analysis of Budapeste (Budapest), Chico Buarque‟s romance, this work intent to argue the paper that metalanguage plays inside the work, in all levels: since characters and ambient characterization (ghost-writer, literary society, best-seller`s casting, etc), passing by fundamentation of conflicts (learning a foreign language, word‟s passion), until the point that it interferes in the construction of diegetic time-space. This interference works in a way to promote a kind of play‟s articulation, that has its high moment in the end of the book, when there is a structure that closes an abysm, serving like trama's resolution, revelation of principal history and re-ready invite. Then, the semantic accumulation created interrupts automatized reception, as occurs in poetry, reinforcing the core idea about langue and language in the book

O presente estudo se propõe a fazer uma leitura de três romances de Chico Buarque, Estorvo, Benjamim e Budapeste. Para tanto, foram selecionadas três categorias para análise – o narrador, o personagem e a sociedade –, que foram estudadas a partir da análise das narrativas e, paralelamente, de alguns textos teóricos. O objetivo principal é investigar a visão do autor acerca da sociedade brasileira urbana atual e, além disso, identificar características que indicam unidade na obra do romancista. Para a realização dessa investigação, os três aspectos selecionados foram analisados com base em textos de Theodor W. Adorno, Roberto Schwarz, Edu Teruki Otsuka, entre outros. Após as pesquisas, foi possível perceber que a obra literária de Chico Buarque, embora não deva e não possa ser limitada a uma mera tentativa de retratar as mazelas da vida urbana contemporânea, nos faz refletir sobre seus diferentes níveis e aponta para uma visão pouco otimista a respeito do destino da sociedade. Não se pode deixar de lembrar que, sendo a literatura atravessada pela história de seu país, não há possibilidade de dissociar a obra de ficção do processo social que lhe dá forma. E, assim, identificamos a posição de destaque de Chico Buarque no quadro da literatura brasileira atual. / The present study offers a close reading of three novels by Chico Buarque, Estorvo, Benjamim and Budapeste. So, three categories were selected to be analyzed – the narrator, the character and the society –, which were studied through narrative analysis and, in a parallel way, theoretical texts. The main objective is to investigate the author’s view towards the present urban Brazilian society and, besides, to identify features that could indicate unity in the novelist’s work. In order to accomplish that, the three selected aspects were analyzed based on texts by Theodor W. Adorno, Roberto Schwarz, Edu Teruki Otsuka, among others. The research made possible to see that Chico Buarque’s literary work, although it should not be limited to a mere attempt to picture the wounds of the contemporary urban life, makes us reflect upon its different levels and points to a not very optimistic view about society’s destiny. We must remember that, being the literature crossed by its country’s history, there is no possibility of dissociating a work of fiction of the social process that gives it form. And, consequently, we identify Chico Buarque’s distinctive position in Brazilian literature.
