The master's thesis is focused on a design of optimal working speed of auger and belt transporter which are parts of Power Flow header for standard type of combine harvester. In the master's thesis author suggest a new simplified theory of crop flow inside the Power Flow header. The thesis contain the factors which can affect the crop flow and comparison between the Power Flow and competitor's header. The thesis also contain geometrical characteristics of crop for four types of cereal.

Anwendung der gekoppelten CFD-DEM-Methode zur Simulation des Entmischungsvorganges von Korn und Nichtkornbestandteilen in der Reinigungsanlage des Mähdreschers

Zur Funktionsentwicklung und Prozessoptimierung im Bereich Getreideerntetechnik werden verstärkt numerische Berechnungsverfahren wie CFD und DEM eingesetzt. Die Kopplung beider Verfahren im Allgemeinen, sowie die Simulation des Entmischungsprozesses von Korn und Nichtkornbestandteilen in der Reinigungsanlage des Mähdreschers im Speziellen, setzen hohes Prozessverständnis als auch eine strategische Vorgehensweise bei der Prozessabstraktion, der Modellierung der Partikel und der Partikelinteraktion als auch der Wechselwirkung zwischen Partikel und strömender Luft voraus. Im Vortrag wird zunächst die Notwendigkeit und der Nutzen der Simulation im Bereich Erntetechnik diskutiert. Danach erfolgt die Beschreibung der Abstraktion des Entmischungsprozesses von Korn und Nichtkornbestandteilen. Es werden numerische als auch experimentelle Untersuchungen zur Modellierung und Parametrierung der stark nicht-sphärischen biogenen Partikel beschrieben. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf der speziellen Untersuchung der Wechselwirkungen und Abhängigkeiten von Partikeleigenschaften. Anschließend werden die Ergebnisse numerischer und experimenteller Untersuchungen des Entmischungsprozesses diskutiert: In einem ersten Schritt erfolgt die Entmischung in einem kleinen, vertikal schwingenden, luftdurchströmten Behälter. Hier werden umfangreiche Parameterstudien und Sensitivitätsanalysen durchgeführt. In einem zweiten Schritt wird die Entmischung in einem in der Breite reduzierten Segment einer Mähdrescherreinigungsanlage durchgeführt. Stets erfolgt der kritische Vergleich zwischen Simulation und Experiment anhand prozessspezifischer Kenngrößen wie Kornverlust, Abscheideeffizienz, Transportgeschwindigkeit u.a. / Numerical simulation methods such as CFD and DEM are increasingly being used for function development and process optimization in the field of grain harvesting technology. The coupling of both methods in general, as well as the simulation of the separation process of grain and non-grain components in the cleaning device of a combine harvester in particular, requires a high level of process understanding as well as a strategic approach to process abstraction, modeling of the particles and particle interaction as well as the interaction between particles and moving air. The speech first discusses the necessity and benefit of simulation in the field of harvesting technology. This is followed by the description of the abstraction of the separation process of grain and non-grain components. Numerical and experimental studies on modeling and parameterization of the strongly non-spherical biogenic particles are described. Particular attention is paid to the special investigation of the interactions and dependencies of particle properties. The results of numerical and experimental investigations of the separation process are then discussed: In a first step, the separation takes place in a small, vertically oscillating, air-flooded box. Extensive parameter studies and sensitivity analyzes are carried out here. In a second step, the separation is carried out in a segment of a combine cleaning device that is reduced in width compared to real width. The critical comparison between simulation and experiment is always carried out using process-specific parameters such as grain loss, separation efficiency, transport speed, etc.

The main objective of presented thesis is to design a shower system in order to extend voltage tests by voltage wet testing. The introduction focuses on important aspects related to voltage wet testing. Such aspects originates mainly from Czech but also foreign standards. Following part of the thesis deals with specific wet testing design proposals, which fulfil the standards requirements. The final part of presented thesis is focused on partial experiments. Namely the analysis of rain water properties, behavior of rain drops exiting the nozzle with varying flow and nozzle angle, wet test on insulator in dry and wet conditions.

This diploma thesis deals with information education of students of distance and combined study at public universities in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The first part of the thesis introduces concepts related to information education, characterizes the system of higher education in the Czech Republic and describes the specifics of distance and combined form of study. The theoretical part also contains a chapter on information education of distance learning students abroad. The practical part describes the research of educational activities for students of distance / combined study at Czech public universities. The research forms used in the thesis are questionnaire survey and content analysis of the documents of individual colleges of libraries. The conclusion of the paper contains a summary and recommendations for improvement.

Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP)s play a key role in modern powersystem due to their lesser investment cost, lower project executiontime, and higher operational flexibility compared to other conventionalgenerating assets. The nature of generation system is changing withever increasing penetration of the renewable energy resources. Whatwas once a clearly defined generation, transmission, and distributionflow is shifting towards fluctuating distribution generation. Because ofvariation in energy production from the renewable energy resources,CCPP are increasingly required to vary their load levels to keep balancebetween supply and demand within the system. CCPP are facingmore number of start cycles. This induces more stress on the gas turbineand as a result, maintenance intervals are affected.The aim of this master thesis project is to develop a dispatch algorithmfor the short-term operation planning for a combined cyclepower plant which also includes the long-term constraints. The longtermconstraints govern the maintenance interval of the gas turbines.These long-term constraints are defined over number of EquivalentOperating Hours (EOH) and Equivalent Operating Cycles (EOC) forthe Gas Turbine (GT) under consideration. CCPP is operating in theopen electricity market. It consists of two SGT-800 GT and one SST-600 Steam Turbine (ST). The primary goal of this thesis is to maximizethe overall profit of CCPP under consideration. The secondary goal ofthis thesis it to develop the meta models to estimate consumed EOHand EOC during the planning period.Siemens Industrial Turbo-machinery AB (SIT AB) has installed sensorsthat collects the data from the GT. Machine learning techniqueshave been applied to sensor data from the plant to construct Input-Output (I/O) curves to estimate heat input and exhaust heat. Resultsshow potential saving in the fuel consumption for the limit on CumulativeEquivalent Operating Hours (CEOH) and Cumulative EquivalentOperating Cycles (CEOC) for the planning period. However, italso highlighted some crucial areas of improvement before this economicdispatch algorithm can be commercialized. / Kombicykelkraftverk spelar en nyckelroll i det moderna elsystemet pågrund av den låga investeringskostnaden, den korta tiden för att byggaett nytta kraftverk och hög flexibilitet jämfört med andra kraftverk.Elproduktionssystemen förändras i takt med en allt större andel förnybarelproduktion. Det som en gång var ett tydligt definierat flödefrån produktion via transmission till distribution ändrar nu karaktärtill fluktuerande, distribuerad generering. På grund av variationernai elproduktion från förnybara energikällor finns ett ökat behov avatt kombicykelkraftverk varierar sin elproduktion för att upprätthållabalansen mellan produktion och konsumtion i systemet. Kombicykelkraftverkbehöver startas och stoppas oftare. Detta medför mer stresspå gasturbinen och som ett resultat påverkas underhållsintervallerna.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att utveckla en algoritm för korttidsplaneringav ett kombicykelkraftverk där även driften på lång siktbeaktas. Begränsningarna på lång sikt utgår från underhållsintervallenför gasturbinerna. Dessa långsiktiga begränsningar definieras som antaletekvivalenta drifttimmar och ekvivalenta driftcykler för det aktuellakraftverket. Kombikraftverket drivs på den öppna elmarknaden.Det består av två SGT-800 GT och en SST-600 ångturbin. Det främstamålet med examensarbetet är att maximera den totala vinsten förkraftverket. Ett sekundärt mål är att utveckla metamodeller för attskatta använda ekvivalenta drifttimmar och ekvivalenta driftcyklerunder planeringsperioden.Siemens Industrial Turbo-machinery AB (SIT AB) har installeratsensorer som samlar in data från gasturbinerna. I have also tried to answer the questions whether the course mentally disability/functional gives the students a good start in their profession, if there are any flaws or if something is missing in the course or if they can think of any improvements to make the course better.</p><p>This investigation is performed as a qualitative interview study where three women were interviewed about their education and their first years as assistants’ (in the mentally disability profession). All the interviewed women have been working in the care activity for two or three years since they graduated. The investigation shows that there is a great need for practical training for students on the mentally disability/functional disability course, since it leads to a better start in their profession. The aim of this Master´s thesis is use of instrument transformers and sensors on field of industry protection. We will compare current and voltage transformers, current sensor – based on Rogowski coil, voltage sensor – based on voltage divider. By this measure devices, we can monitoring values of analog quantities in medium voltage switchgear. It is impossible to compare, measure and analyze without this measure devices. There is protection terminal REF542plus, which can compile this values. The REF542plus ability are measuring, monitoring, remote control and protection. First, we will discuss about theory of sensors and convential instrument transformers and analysis of analog signal. We will compare analog input channel on sensor´s analog module and transformer´s analog module. There are few differences between type of analog modules. For analog signal analysis are important frequency filters and Analog/ Digital Convertor (sigma-delta). We will describe functions and options of REF542plus. In practical part of this project, we will test protection functions of protection terminal. First, protection terminal will be connected to sensors. Second protection terminal will be connected to transformers. For testing we chose Earth-fault directional protection and differential protection. We will make only secondary tests. That´s mean, input analog quantities to REF542plus will be simulated by tester. In all we will verify quality of protection. We will focus on lower settings of protection and we will inject protection by low current. Objectives are testing of trip characteristics and measuring of trip time.
