Today the management specialists of top qualification are necessary today: competent persons, who have necessary knowledge and skills, who are continuously improving their qualification and managing skills, and who are able to influence shift’s processes in their schools. It is not agreed what competences are and will be needed in the future with regard to managers of educational institutions (PPRC, 2007). As the importance of certification of school managers is understood for the improvement of educational quality, the problematic questions arise: what types of motivation affect improvement of qualifications? What competences would the school managers like to improve? And the most important question: what is the connection between the types of motivation and competences provided in the certification criteria of school managers? When the answer to this question is being searched for, the attention is directed to the need for improvement of competences, its motivation, learning motives, and factors, which affect the rise of qualification. In the construction industry today there is a significant technological revolution going on. New methods for automated processes and information management are developed continuously. Intense studies are currently taking place to ensure ways and means to embrace the new technology of BIM. At the present, environmental certification systems are considered cumbersome and challenging. However, the increasing demands of sustainable development in the construction industry imply that the environmental certifications will not disappear. This Master Thesis examines the possibilities to apply BIM technology within the field of environmental certifications to streamline the processes. The applications that provide the best opportunities are: - To use BIM to be able to, during the design stage, dynamically evaluate the result or score a certain building will achieve. - To avoid unnecessary work through collection of data for calculations directly from a BIM-model. - To be able to automate certain time consuming calculations that are currently performed manually. - To automatically examine the completed model to ensure that the demands are fulfilled. The possibilities to use BIM within these areas are however limited by the technology itself. Today there are no BIM applications within the field that work satisfyingly, which hinders a large-scale implementation.

Purpose: Today the amount of Eco labelled multi-family houses are increasing. The Nordic Swan is a well-known certification that has grown a lot when it’s comes to certifying multi-family houses in Sweden. Unlike other well-known ecolabels there are not many studies done on the Nordic Swan. By studying the certification, and its establishment, in two large projects the goal of this study is to pinpoint weaknesses in the process of attaining the Nordic Swan and then make improvement proposals.Method: In order to provide improvement proposals, a qualitative study was chosen. A study of literature and a document analysis is the foundation of the study by taking theoretical aspects into account, within the Nordic Swan and multi-family housing. The chosen qualitative method is also based on semi structured interviews. The interview respondents were selected as: two production supervisors, a site manager, a quality and environmental coordinator, a project manager and a project developer. All respondents are working daily with the projects, characterized by the Nordic Swan. The different persons were chosen to obtain a high validity of the study. To further increase the validity and its reliability, respondents were given back the empirical data so that they could make further comments and revisions. Reliability was assured by providing well-designed questions.Findings: The goal refers to improvements with the certification, propelling to new knowledge, within the area of the subject. The empirical investigation shows recurring problems with the product database within the certification, seen from the respondent’s experiences of working with the Nordic Swan in projects. They’ve informed about challenges that comes with respective working process. The certification is solid and gives a qualitative product, but has a time-consuming learning process. Overall, the respondent’s focused on the way of working with the ecolabel and the organisations way of managing the product database, both for an older and a new version.The improvement proposals that results from an analyzation of interviews concerns the communication between the Nordic Swan and its customers, how the Nordic Swan’s product database can improve when future versions releases and how the ecolabel could accomplish a greater eco-impact to the projects by promoting “green innovations”.Limitations: The study is limited to the application of the Nordic Swan in multi-family housing in two large projects. As the guidelines in the process do not differ between companies, the result can be considered general. Retrieving information from even more companies on the other hand could have resulted in a more accurate overall result.Implications: The drawn conclusion from the thesis is that the result creates opportunities for improving the certification process. It can also be used to get more companies to use the Nordic Swan. This diploma thesis deals with preparation of quality management system for certification according to the standard ISO/TS 16949:2009. In the theoretical part of the thesis a various concepts of quality management system are described as well as certification process of ISO/TS 16949:2009. The last theoretical chapter is dedicated to the auditing of quality management system. The practical part is focused to the analyse of the current quality management system as well as performing of internal audits of quality management system. The last chapter is focused on evaluation of effectiveness of internal audits and realization of the first phase of certification audit according to the ISO/TS 16949:2009.

The goal of this work is to evaluate the implementation of quality management system in the organization, identification of bottlenecks, including a proposal to remove them. The diploma thesis reports on the quality norms ISO according to their transformation into the requirements of company practical form. I analyse the ways in which the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2008 the organization can be utilized in the activities, processes and quality requirements. The thesis deals with the various fundamental points of standards and the standard met in the organization is described.The final part is concerned with current state. I consider the pre-certified quality system and finally the possible way for improvement is suggested.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the legal requirements for Euro VI and CARB regarding OBD certification in order to identify the challenges that may come for a manufacturer’s move from Euro VI classified heavy-duty engines to engines that meet the requirements of CARB. Furthermore, the study also aims to identify the effects that these challenges will have on the organisation. Research question: What type of challenges arise for a manufacturing company when developing an OBD certification process according to the requirements from CARB compared to Euro VI and how do these challenges affect the organisation? Method: The nature of this study was qualitative with a deductive method as an approach, where theories and empirical findings interacts. The theoretical framework is divided into two parts, in which the first part is obtained from scientific articles and books and the second part from legislations. The empirical data was gathered from interviews at a case study company and the information was thematically analysed. Conclusion: This study concludes that the movement from Euro VI to CARB standards will result in comprehensive changes for a company’s OBD process itself as well as organisational changes within the company. There will be a need to establish new processes and new ways of working within the organisation which can lead to comprehensive coordination difficulties that should be taken into consideration. In conclusion, it is as important to consider the effects of the changes that this movement will bring on the company and the actors within, as it is with the implementation of the process itself. / Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att jämföra lagkraven för Euro VI och CARB angående OBD certifieringen och därmed identifiera de utmaningar som kan uppstå i och med övergången från Euro VI klassificerade motorer till motorer som uppfyller kraven från CARB. Vidare syftar studien även till att undersöka hur dessa utmaningar påverkar organisationen. Forskningsfråga: Vilka utmaningar uppstår för ett tillverkande företag vid utveckling av en OBD certifieringsprocess enligt lagkrav från CARB i jämförelse med Euro VI och hur påverkar dessa utmaningar organisationen? Metod: Denna studie är av en kvalitativ karaktär som är baserad på en deduktiv forskningsmetod. Den teoretiska referensramen är uppdelat i två sektioner, vari den första är baserad på vetenskapliga artiklar och böcker och den andra från lagkrav. Empiriska data har samlats från intervjuer på fallstudieföretaget och metoden som har använts för att analysera materialet är tematisk analys. Slutsats: Denna studie konkluderar att övergången från Euro VI till CARB lagkrav resulterar i omfattande förändringar för företagets OBD process och bringar organisationsförändringar inom företaget. Det kommer att finnas ett behov av att etablera nya processer och nya arbetssätt inom organisationen som kan leda till omfattande samordningsproblem som bör has i åtanke. Sammanfattningsvis är det av yttersta vikt att ta hänsyn till de organisationsförändringarna som förväntas uppstå i och med denna förändring och inte enbart fokusera på att implementera en ny process.

The master´s thesis targets to compile summary document for aerodrome certification by EASA requirements and to create methodology for application of these documents. Master´s thesis consists of three main parts. In the first part is described national legislation, which in general regulates condition for civil aviation. There is also specified current legislation, by which the conditions for aerodrome certification are set. The second part of the thesis involves EASA requirements in field of aerodrome certification. There is described organisation structure of agency, information about its emergence and field of occupation. The certification process is analysed in the main part of the thesis. Moreover there is demonstrated the probable schedule of the certification process in the Czech republic and the documents, that should be issued.
